Quest One: Den of Evil

The first quest in Diablo2 is the Den of Evil. In the area outside of the town, the Blood Moor you will find a cave called the den of evil. There is only 1 level and your mission is to kill all the monsters inside. Make sure not to miss any monsters, such as runaway fallen. There is one unique, who always has spectral hit, you may need a potion or two tops. It's an easy quest gaining you 1 skill point as well as 2 levels from the experience you'll receive.

Quest Two: Sister's Burial Ground

Although not the most rewarding quest, its good for an early challenge. You can find Blood Raven in the Burial Grounds, which is one exit out of the Cold Plains. (The other being the Stony Field.) Blood Raven can hurt, and in a multiplayer game may be too difficult to take out alone. I suggest killing the skeletons and zombies and then going for Blood Raven. She does have the ability to raise more minions, so be as fast as you can. With a few minor healing potions and a way to deal some damage, you'll be fine. Your reward is whatever she drops in addition to a free mercenary.

Quest Three: The Search for Cain

First thing you need to do is find the Stony Field Waypoint. Afterwards, locate the Underground Passage in the Stony Field. Travel through it, until you get to the exit, which brings you to the Dark Wood. You can go to the Underground Passage Level 2 if you like where there's a golden chest which may drop a few items, nothing too useful. In the dark wood you need to find both the Waypoint and the Tree of Inifuss. Click on the tree and return the Scroll of Inifuss to Akara. Take the translated scroll back to the Stony Field and locate the five stones. Click on them in the correct sequence and a portal to Tristram will open up. Save Cain inside and battle Griswold to his death if you like. Your reward will be free id's from Cain. In addition to this you will receive a magical ring in Normal Difficulty and a rare one in NM/Hell.

Quest Four: The Forgotten Tower

You will approach the Forgotten Tower in the Black Marsh. Inside there are five levels. On the fifth level there are two rooms with dozens of stacks of gold and chests and stand. The end of the fifth level has a room with the Countess as well as some maidens guarding a Golden Chest. The Countess is fire enchanted and can be painful. Hopefully you've built up a semi-strong character by now. After you defeat her the chest will open with some items and lots of Gold. The rewards from this quest are great for new players, but limited for veterans. Good luck with it.

Quest Five: Tools of the Trade

Charsi beckons for your help. Will you respond? Besides being the righteous hero you are and doing what's right, you also have a nice motive. Completion of this quest means a nice imbue. This changes a normal item to a rare one with random mods associated to your character level. The best time to use the imbue is around level 30 on a nice exception item. Popular Items would be a Lance, Gothic Bow, Ornate Plate, Executioner Sword or any item your character may want.

You will find the Hammer in the Barracks. Be careful though, because a strong foe guards it. The blacksmith is fairly fast and can deal some good damage. I suggest clearing the monsters up to him and dragging him out for some 1v1 action (note: you do not need to kill him to get the hammer, but why not while you're there?). Afterwards grab the hammer of the rack and return it to Charsi, who will give you a big fat kiss. Well, maybe not.

Quest Six: Sisters to the Slaughter

After traveling to the Barracks continue on to Jail level 1, travel through the various Jail levels until you reach the Inner Cloister. Here you can activate the Waypoint and return to town for an entertaining discussion with Gheed. He's quite the weed smoker, don't you know. Continue on to he Cathedral where you may or may not kill Bane Ash, a skeleton unique that's cold enchanted. Continue down the stairs to Catacombs level 1. In level 2 you'll find the last Waypoint in Act 1. Travel on to level 3 and finally to level 4.

Here I suggest making a town portal in case of your potential death and I suggest being at least level 12 before attempting this quest. Clear the first two rooms before opening the large door. Inside try killing as many monsters without attracting Andariel's (Andy's) attention. Once she attacks you duel her 1v1 and be ready to take some serious poison damage. For any non melee character who doesn't have life leech and a decent weapon this can be hard. Buy plenty of healing potions and some antidotes too if you like. After killing Andy proceed to talk to any various townsfolk for some much needed praise. Then speak with Warriv to travel to Act 2.
