    Quincy Engine 2 is known as "Atlantic"  is the home to Engine-2 and Ladder-5 as well as a recently donated Special Services Unit thanks to the generosity of State Street Bank.

 

 

Engine 2   

    Quincy Engine 2 is a 1990 E-One.  It carries 500 gallons onboard and pumps at 1500 gallons per minute.  It has an inline foam system and can produce fire fighting foam at a moments notice.  Engine 2 is staffed with 1 officer and 2 fire fighters at all times.

    It's first alarm assignments include Squantum, Norfolk Downs, and Wollaston, as well as all medicals in the North Quincy and Norfolk Downs areas.  Engine 2 also responds to all second alarms in the city.

 

 

Ladder 5

Formerly Ladder-2 (pictured here at Wollaston), Quincy Ladder-5 is a 1996 E-One.  It has a 110' aerial ladder and carries the Jaws of Life for motor vehicle extrications.  Ladder 5 is staffed with 3 fire fighters at all times.

Ladder-5 responds to all first alarm assignments in the north half of the city as well as all second alarms. 

  

   

 

 

SSU-1

    SSU-2, donated by State Street Bank, is a 1998 Ford F-350 SD Brush Truck.  SSU-2 is an unstaffed piece but is used for firewatches, manned by one firefighter that remains at the scene of a structure fire after it is extinguished to watch for re-kindle.
