  Spare Ladders  

Quincy's spare apparatus is located at the training academy and is used primarily for recruit classes, but they are available to temporarily replace in service pieces when they are down for maintenance or repairs

Ladder-1

Spare Ladder-1 was recently retired from headquarters after 16 years of service.  Ladder-1 is a 1986 E-One/Spartan quint with a 110' aerial ladder, a 250 gallon tank and a pump rated at 250 gallons per minute.

 

Tower-1

Tower-1, once stationed in Wollaston, is a 1978 Sutphen.  It is a mid-mount 100' bucket, has a 500 gallon tank, and is capable of pumping 1250 gallons per minute out of its 2 nozzles.  Tower-1 also has a 3rd discharge at the bucket for a handline.

 

Ladder-5 

Spare Ladder-5 is a 1972 Maxim tiller.  It is the only tiller in the City of Quincy and has a 85' mid-mount aerial.  It was formerly Boston Ladder-9.
