Training Division

 

 

The Training Division of the Quincy Fire Department is located on the old Fore River/General Dynamics shipyard site, which is currently owned by the Quirk Motors Corporation.. They allow for unrestricted drills and evolutions. The Training department Captian oversees all training and fire academy classes.

The Training Division conducts recruit training as well as ongoing fire related training for the department.

EMS classes are held at least once a month. Many programs are conducted throughout the year, such as:

  • Haz-Mat training
  • Search and Rescue techniques
  • Emergency Vehicle Operation
  • Rapid Intervention training
  • Emergency Medical First Responder
  • Thermal Imaging Camera training
  • Research and Development of new equipment and fire fighting techniques
  • "First Friday" EMS classes
