Killed By A Drunk Driver
My dearest friend,
the news of your passing
broke my heart
and left me feeling lost
for the person I loved so much.
You lifted me up when I was sad
and taught my heart to smile.
You gave me the gift of true
friendship and kindness.
You cared for the person
that I was deep inside.
Never judging me or criticizing me.
Upon our last conversation,
I had told you that I had
sewn you into my heart forever,
with the finest of thread.
You smiled at that comment
and said that I was sewn into yours
forever as well.
We said," I love you, my dear friend,
take care and God bless you',
upon the closing of our conversation.
Never did I dream that I
would awaken to learn that God
had carried you home and away from my reach.
I will always carry you in my heart,
the stitches made of the finest thread,
and treasure you forever and always.
You were always kind and willing to be a friend
to anyone who crossed your path,
a loyal friend to those whom you loved,
as you loved me.
You had a special gift of compassion
and understanding.
You were a source of courage to me
and many others.
You were a smile when life felt so sad.
You were a warm hug when there
was celebrating to be done.
God gave you to each of us,
for a very short time,
you will be deeply missed.
God bless you my dear friend.
Your pain is over.
Some day, in Heaven above,
we each will meet you once again,
and continue the laughter and
the love as if time never stopped.
We will look up to heaven and
see your smile shining down
upon us with each sunrise.
You are so very much missed.
I love you, Trucky,
thank you for being
my "Guardian Angel",
you saved me many a time
from the pain that life
had thrown at me.
You made me stronger and
you taught me the beauty
of life once more.
I deeply miss you.
The tears still fall at the thought
of not hearing your beautiful words
of encouragement and love,
but I look to Heaven and
know that I am trully blessed,
cause God sends you down
to sit upon my shoulder and
continue to be my Guardian Angel.
