Beloved Son,
You became a man the day you
brought your son Garrett home
when he was just a day old.
You were a single parent and
we were blessed to share
with you in Garrett's raising.
You worked so hard to make
a better future for you both.
You were always so proud of Garrett,
Garrett was so proud of his daddy,
and we will forever be proud of you both!
Sadly you did not know
at the time of your death
that you had passed your college tests
with flying colors and dear son,
you are a Paramedic.
It has been two years since you went
to be with Jesus in Heaven.
We were on our way
to your best friends wedding
as you were to be his best man.
As we rounded a corner that fateful night
we never knew that a drunk driver
had crossed over onto
our side of the Freeway.
The man hit us head on.
As you turned our vehicle,
the drunk driver followed our lights
and left us no where to go.
Your last words to us that tragic night.......
"I will save you,"
only confirmed your love for others.
You saved your mom & dad's lives
and we know that you would not
let your son go to Heaven alone.
You followed to hold Garrett's hand.
Your memory and our love only
grows stronger with each passing day.
You touched so many lives
our beloved son,
"Live on in us who love you dearly!"
We will meet you in Heaven!
Sending our love & many hugs,
Dad & Mom
Brother Pat & Family
Grandpa & Grandma
& all who were left behind..........

Beloved Grandson,
God sent us a special angel
the day that you were born
to show us through the eyes of a child
your unconditional love
and what it meant to us.
It has been two years since you
went to be with Jesus in Heaven.
I cried out to God that fateful night
as I gave you CPR,
"please do not let our children suffer!"
One moment you were snuggled
next to grandma in your seat belt,
the next moment
Jesus held you in his arms.
Your daddy would not let you go alone
and he followed to hold your hand.
Oh precious grandson,
you were called
the "Peacemaker" at school.
Your gentle soul always reaching
out to others just like your daddy's.
You loved everyone who met you
in your short lifetime and
everyone loved you!
Our hearts ache everyday for you,
our angel.
When sadness surrounds us
we feel your presence
and your precious little arms around us.
You are our angel here on earth
and we know you are among
God's most precious angels in Heaven.
We love you past the stars and moon
to the Heaven's........
Infinity & back again!
We will meet you in Heaven!
Sending our love & many kisses,
Grandpa & Grandma
Uncle Pat & Family
Grandpapa & Grandmama
& all who were left behind.......

Our Prayer To Heaven
Dear God,
We pray in loving memory of
our beloved son Torry forever 27
and our grandson Garrett forever 7.
You blessed us when you sent
Torry & Garrett
"on loan" for just a little while.......
They were both very special people
and walked closer to the angels
than anyone knew.
Now they are in your loving arms.
Torry & Garrett
were loving, caring,
compassionate individuals and
our hearts ache for what
should have been.
We miss them dearly!
It is hard to smile through our eyes
when our hearts are broken.
We carry tears in our hearts
and we are still trying to live as happy
as we can each day for
the love of Torry & Garrett.
Yes, we live on only to help others.
We struggle with our loss.
We pray dear God keep us strong
when inside there is an emptiness
that longs for our children.
We do this to help support others
who are suffering with
the loss of Torry & Garrett
and all who have lost loved ones.
We do not blame you God
or the drunk driver for our loss
as it was mankind who was responsible.
The drunk driver died too and
he has a mom and dad crying somewhere.
This man above all else needed help.
You have taught us with our heartache
and tears to understand the
suffering and pain of others.
We know there is another life
waiting for us
and it will be for eternity.
We will never have to be separated
from our loved ones again.
We cherish each and every moment
of Torry & Garrett's lives and
their memories live on within our hearts.
We remember your promise that you are
always near and we know then
that Torry & Garrett are near too.
Forever we will remember
the echo of their voices
and the love they had for others.
We hold their love in our hearts everyday.
May your angels give Torry & Garrett
a hug from all of us.
They are loved now and into eternity.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Dad & Mom
Grandpa & Grandma
Brother & Uncle - Pat & Family
Grandpapa & Grandmama
& all who were left behind.........

Daddys in Heaven
Holding My Hand
Chorus:
Grandpa and Grandma can't you see
All the love and the joy you've given to me
My daddys here in heaven holding my hand
As we walk together in the promised land
We'd started out late on the fourth of July
laughing, singing and staring at the sky
My daddys going to be the best man
in a cowboys wedding cross the land
Fast asleep on my grandmas shoulder
She gently kissed and pulled me to her
Then all of sudden through the darkness
A drunks headlights headed straight at us
Swerving as only a paramedic would
My daddy said he'd save us if he could.
I never felt any pain through the crash
Just the gentle kisses as I breathed my last.
(Chorus)
Hundreds came to the memorial that day.
To show their respects and to pray
For the love of a father and his son
touched their hearts to be forever gone
Oh my grandma has shed so many tears
at the loss of our future years
My grandpa is forever strong
with a broken heart they carry on.
But don't you both ever forget
with but a smile, my name is "Garrett"
Theres always butterflies to marvel at
and sunflowers in a row to plant
(Chorus)
Written in loving memory of
my paramedic brother (Torry)
and my nephew (Garrett)
killed by a drunk driver 7/5/2000.
And to my parents who survived the crash.
