Just a few lines to let you know about Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales. Whatever type of holiday you fancy, outdoor, walking, caving, touring, cycling or simply relaxing. A break in the fresh Northern Yorkshire air and stunning natural scenery of Ingleton can be well recommended.
Ingleborough Mountain, part of the famous Three Peaks, simply turn left at our garden gate and carry straight on to encounter this wonderful sight. The view from the summit 2373 feet is well worth the walk.

Ingleton is a lovely Yorkshire Dales village, providing an ideal base for touring Northern England
Take a stroll around the beautiful Ingleton Waterfalls Walk, or a guided tour of White Scar Caves, "Englands Longest Show Cave". Hike up Ingleborough Mountain part of the well known Three Peaks Range, and view the wonderful surrounding landscape.
A view of Beazley Falls, part of the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk, over 4 miles of stunning natural scenery. Well worth walking whilst you are in the area. Adrian.
Board the famous Settle/Carlisle Railway at Ribblehead and explore the scenic and rugged route to Scotland. Or enjoy a relaxing swim in the village outdoor heated pool, a browse around Ingleton centre, the busy market town of Settle or the picturesque nearby village of Kirkby Lonsdale all full of craft/gift shops and traditional tea rooms.
Ribblehead Viaduct, part of the famous Settle Carlisle Railway, is just a couple of miles up the road. you can walk under this incredible structure out on the moors.Or catch the train and take a daytrip to Carlisle. Note Steam Trains as pictured only run occasionally.
Or use Ingleton as a base to travel further around Northern England. Each day set out in a different direction and within an hour you can be in the English Lake District, Windermere, Ambleside etc, The Yorkshire Moors, Bronte Country, The Lancashire Coast, Blackpool, Morecambe, or even deeper into the scenic Yorkshire Dales.

P.S. Ingleton is a great place to visit any time of year. the Autumn /Winter walking is cooler but the scenery is just as picturesque if not better than Summer, and the accommodation rates are far cheaper!
