Easy Cutout Text

STEP ONE
Open a new 24 bit image large enough to accomodate your text. Fill with your choice of solid or textured background. Here I am using a texture from my free tiles page and a size of 215x65. The font is called Brush455 BT.
STEP TWO
Choose a light color that matches your background and place your text. Keep text selected.
STEP THREE
Invert your selection (Selections/Invert).
STEP FOUR
Apply drop shadow. The settings can be changed to your liking. I used opacity=90, blur=4, vert/horiz=1. Click OK, and de-select text. Tada!!
