Easy Wooden Texture
easy wood texture
PSP6

STEP ONE
Open a new 24 bit image, any size. Fill image with a brown color. Here I am using #7E5330.

STEP TWO
Add noise (Image/Noise/Add...). Set properties at 100% noise, and random. Click OK.

STEP THREE
Add motion blur (Image/Blur/Motion Blur...). Set properties at 90 degree angle, and 40 pixels. Click OK.

STEP FOUR
Colorize (Colors/Colorize...). You can set your hue and saturation at any # to get the desired shade of your wood, I set mine at hue=25, saturation=255. Click OK.

The following is with hue=20, saturation=150.

**NOTE** - Your finished graphic is not seamless. To make it seamless, you will have to go through the steps above, making your image larger than you tend to save it. Then, select a rectangular portion of the wood texture, and click Selections/Convert to Seamless Pattern. Saving it after doing this will create a seamless texture.
