He Lifted Me

I was dying; lost in sin,
Til Jesus lifted me.
Now the Saviour reigns within;
Praise God! He lifted me!
The nature of old self died out,
Old habits ceased to be.
The Holy Ghost came in to dwell;
The Spirit lifted me!
Now I'm in the Church of God,
The bride of Christ to be...
With Him I'll forever reign,
Because He lifted me!
