You meet somebody new
And it seems that you know
From the start
That you've found someone special
To trust and confide in
With whom you can talk
Heart to heart...



You'll have the same values
You'll have the same interests
Have similar goals to pursue
And from that time on
They'll be someone who cares
They'll be someone
To help see you through
You'll share with each other
A warmth and closeness
A feeling that will never end



Once in a while
You meet somebody new
Who becomes such a wonderful friend
And I know in my heart
That I'll never forget
The way I could tell
Just as soon as we met
What a wonderful friend
You would be.
