We are suffering in body and spirit
As we remember times past
Pain of war and killing
A great sorrow surrounding so many
Needless inhuman acts on the innocent
Such hate and such great fear
Creating pain as bitter tears fall
Nothing left of those who lived
A pile of shoes all tattered and worn
Hearts crushed and bodies torn.

The crying echoes through the night
Carried by the wind
Forever we must pay the price
For all of those who've sinned
Hold your brother to your heart
Help to ease his pain
Without your strength to lean on
His sorrow will remain
Hate is legislated in the heart
And can fill your soul with bile
Hold on to your sister's hand
Help her walk that mile
Prejudice, anger, hatred and greed
These are all fruit from the demon seed
Find acceptance in your heart
Forgiveness brings a brand new start.

Must we go on until we see
Oceans of blood and inhumanity
Do so many lust for mans mortal end
That we cannot come together
And revaluate the meaning of brotherhood or friend
Can we not just lay down our weapons
And make a way to understand
Before we destroy this planet
And then where will the mighty victor stand?

Many lives were given to protect
The goodness God gave this land
And as Children of God
We will take you by the hand
Meet us in love and peace
We will never let freedom cease
United we shall win against evils sin
With love and peace we welcome you in
In war and hatred , there is no win.
