THE SOLDIER
Our Country is at war
The fighting has begun,
The brave soldiers proudly stand
They are protecting every man,
The soldiers have left everything behind,
To fight for our flag and go to the front line,
Do you think they want to fight,
And leave their families here?
Do you think they enjoy facing a day,
Without their love ones near?
They fight for the freedom of others,
So they can live like me and you,
They fight for their family and friends,
So they don't have to
They fight to keep,
The American Spirit alive
They fight for our country,
So we can stand with pride.
They fight for all the children,
So they can be happy and play.
They fight so we can be free,
To express what we want to say.
They fight for all of us,
While we sleep at night
They fight for America
So that we can see the next dawns early light
Those who turn their backs,
On the beautiful red white and blue,
Turn against the soldiers,
Why are they fighting to get us through.
If you think of turning your back,
You better think twice.
For one day it maybe you,
Joining in the fight.
The soldiers show bravery,
And a heart like no other,
I know this because
They are My FATHER and My BROTHER...
