KC-30 PLEASANT
HILL, MO. This site was
part of the Kansas City MO defense area. The site opened in 1959 and was
deactivated in 1969 when all Kansas City area Nike sites were closed. In
Feb of 1964 Battery B, 5th Missile Battalion, 55th Artillery, US Army turned
this site over to Battery B, 3rd Missile Battalion, 128th Artillery of
the Missouri Army National Guard.
The Guard also located Headquarters
and Headquarters Battery of 3/128 here.
