PH-99 WARRINGTON, PA This
site was opened in 1954 and closed in 1971. It was a double site equipped
with six magazines. The IFC area had the extra radar to track and engage
two targets. The below picture is an aerial photo of the IFC area taken
in 1960. Six radar towers can be seen. Having been taken in 1960 there
is no HIPAR radar in the photo. The guard hut, barracks, mess hall and
admin. building can all be seen in the photo. In 1964 the site was turned
over to the PA National Guard when Battery A and Battery B, 2nd Missile
Battalion, 166th Artillery, PA Army National Guard relieved Battery A,
2nd Missile Battalion, 59th Artillery. US Army.
