Looks like the writers had a hard time coming up with anything new, as there are a series of long flashbacks for various characters, as Jack gets news from Lexie, Nicole visits Chloe, Tony tries to make a deal with Brady, and the war zone gets even more dangerous.

AT THE HOSPITAL Lexie tells Jack his tests were inconclusive, & she needs to draw more blood. (she chased Jen out for THAT?). Jack argues with her, but she perseveres & he agrees to let her take more blood. Jen comes in, but Jack says Lexie is just being extra cautious. Jennifer babbles about the family vacation at the Horton cabin with Hope’s family. She had already called Abby, who sends her a message on her PDA that she is gathering together all their camping stuff. Jack worries that his “prize winning lures” might get lost..well they WILL be prize-winning when he catches the biggest trout Smith Island ever saw. (luv that Jack!) Jen leaves to call Abby on the phone, before she tears the garage apart, & Jack makes Lexie promise not to tell Jennifer her concerns. Jack & Jen leave, arrive home, seeing all the vacation items piled up. Jack is excited about his tackle box & lures, & they happily talk of the uncoming trip. Back at the hospital, Lexie calls the lab, to have Ryan tell her she had better come and look at the Deveraux test herself. She does, and agrees it is not normal, is highly unusual, and she wonders WHAT is going on with Jack.

SOMEWHERE IN A DESERT Brady holds his gun on Tony, who tries to make a deal, & tells Brady Chloe is alive. An angry Brady punches Tony out for trying to use Chloe’s memory to save himself. Brady doesn’t believe him. Meanwhile, at the clinic, Nicole pops into Chloe’s room for a visit, finding her working on her scrapbook. Nik has a flashback of being told by Dr. Weiss to sterilize those contaminated instruments, & learning of the flesh eating bacteria. She plays her reverse psychology mind games with Chloe again, then accidentally lets slip that Brady is out of the country on a rescue mission to save Philip. She fills Chloe in on it all. Back in the bunker, Brady is not buying Tony’s story of Chloe being alive, but Tony says he can talk to her. Brady tells him he doesn’t know what love is, but Tony replies that yes he does, he once was very much in love with a beautiful, loving, caring woman, and Brady’s father took her away from him. Brady remembers that, asks if her name was Kristen, & Tony says yes. Now Brady has a long, long series of flashbacks to times w/Chloe…..a hot tub session, making love, a picnic, & more, finally his speech to the urn w/her ashes. Chloe gets the feeling something is wrong with Brady. Her phone rings, and she answers, Hello. Tony immediately gives the phone to Brady, who is startled to hear Chloe’s voice. Freeze frame as 3 separate pictures appear on the screen…..Brady, Tony & Chloe. Break for commercial. When Brady does speak, she gives the phone to Nicole, begging her not to tell, & of course, Nik pretends she has no idea what Brady thought he heard. As she berates him for believing anything Tony might tell him, Tony slips out a door, and has escaped once more. Nicole tells Chloe that Tony has informed Brady that she is alive.

Sami paces, telling herself that no one can know she was Stan, & how she wants to put her life back together & concentrate on her son. Lucas comes in, hearing that last part, & they talk about Will. Lucas then refers to Sami being Tony’s prisoner, & Sami has a long flashback of Tony threatening her, giving her the gun and instructions. Lucas decides they should both contact Will, & uses Tony’s very hi tech computer to set up a video stream to Will. Grampa Shawn had told Lucas (now when was this? Lol) that Will was on his computer, so Lucas promptly sets up a video stream pic of him & Sami to Will. Now they can both see each other, clear as a bell. Yeah, right. Will is happy to see his parents together, & naturally, lst thing he asks is, since they are together, will they all now be a family again. (Anyone else tired of hearing that phrase besides me?) Sami tells him his father has to answer that, but Lucas just says they will all be talking once they are all home again. (Bet there are hundreds of military families who wish it was soooo easy to see and speak to their loved ones in the middle of a war zone)

SHAWN CALLS BELLE again, says he is back at the marine camp, and Philip has not yet checked in. We see Jake crawling around in the darkness, amid gunfire, trying to find Philip – who yells at him to stop – and then an explosion rips the area. At the base, Officer Barrett comes in, sits down next to Shawn, & tries to radio Philip. He finally reaches Philip, who tells him he & Pvt. Horton (Horton??? Jeez, they could not come up with a different last name, huh?) are in the middle of a minefield, & are pinned down by enemy fire. Philip finally finds his friend….and then guess what? In the middle of all that gunfire, mortars exploding, etc. he gets a phone call from his wife, Belle. Talk about being distracted. Seems Barrett was able to patch her through. Phil tells her he loves her, she says she loves him. Shawn hears all, as does Barrett. Philip says he has to go, he has to get to his buddy. Machine gun fire erupts, and the base camp is also under attack, with everyone yelling to run for cover. Belle hears it all, screaming, “NO”……and the previews show

Lexie: You are making a big mistake
Jack: What do I tell Jennifer?
Lexie: You can start with the truth!

Marlena: You are not to blame for that.
A crying Belle, as Marlena keeps saying, No, No: It’s all my fault. Because of me, Philip & Shawn may both be dead

Kate (hugging a man): Please don’t take him from me. Please let him come back safely to me

Nicole: Time to put you and everyone else out of your misery, as she smacks a pillow down on Chloe’s face, saying “DIE!”. (this seems to be a fantasy sequence, lolol)

Summary: As the Deveraux’s prepare for their trip, Lexie can’t help but worry about him...Billie reaches out to Chelsea...Belle runs to mom & dad, blaming herself for the situation with Philip (as Kate is more than happy to agree with her)...Nicole runs out of options with Chloe as Brady is determined to find her...the Salem soldiers (and Sami) begin their way home, minus Philip.

AT THE DEVERAUX HOUSE...Abby is in the kitchen packing up a box of goodies to take on the trip when Chelsea comes in. Abby invites her to go along but she isn’t too keen on the idea. (BTW, I just noticed they have a new Chelsea...shows how close attention I pay, lol). Billie comes by to check on Jack. Chelsea explains she has no camping gear so Billie pulls out a wad of cash to help out. Meanwhile, Jack and Jen are rushing around getting things together as well (what’s the rush?...I thought they were all waiting for Shawn to get home before going). Well, Jen explains that she talked to Hope and they are going on ahead while Bo and Hope (and family) will join them later. Chelsea refuses Billie’s money, asking WHY she wants to help her. Lexie is outside on her way to see Jack as she remembers checking his results and is worried about him. Jack and Jen are kissing when Lexie arrives and tells them that they didn’t get any answers from the tests, that they only ruled out certain things. She fears that there is something going on that they don’t know about. She has sent the samples off to the Mayo Clinic for further testing. Jen goes upstairs to check on Jack Jr. And while she is gone, Jack questions Lexie. She urges him to be honest with Jen and not hide things from her, but he doesn’t want to worry her. In the kitchen, Billie asks to speak to Chelsea alone so Abby leaves. Billie explains she wants to help her for several reasons, one that she promised her mother. But Chelsea is bitter to her and questions her motives. Billie tells her that she reminds her of herself when she was younger. (duh, wonder why?) They sit as Billie tells her of her horrible childhood and how alone she felt. She says if she had a friend and someone to listen, it would have helped. By the time Abby returns, Chelsea has changed her mind and decided to go along with them. They rush upstairs to pack and on their way, Abby tells Jack she invited Chelsea, which he is okay with. Jen calls for Jack and he goes upstairs as well. After he is gone, Billie and Lexie chat and she senses something is bothering Lexie. Although Lexie won’t discuss Jack’s case with her, she does tell her she doesn’t know what is wrong, and THAT is what scares her the most. They both hope it is nothing serious as they leave. Jack and Jen come back downstairs, as Jen wanted to talk to Lexie some more. Jack assures her that he is fine, but Jen can’t help but worry about him as they kiss.

IN THE WAR ZONE...Sami and Lucas are now on board the Titan jet, ready to head home as the others are being rounded up. Sami can’t wait to get home and see Will. Lucas is still ranting about Stan but Sami wants to just forget about him (I bet she does). Brady is the next to arrive, telling them that he has a new reason to get home...Chloe is alive. He explains about Tony giving him the news and then calling her, but they (Lucas especially) are skeptical. He is sure it was some kind of trick so Tony could save his own skin. Lucas tries to reason with him, but Brady is sure that she is alive and about hearing her voice and how Nicole was with her, where ever she was. Lucas says that if Chloe IS alive, Nicole would be doing all she could to keep Brady from finding out. Sami remembers “Stan” giving Nicole advice and panics, hoping Nicole hasn’t done anything. She slips away and (with the mouthpiece and Stan voice) calls Nicole and tells her not to harm Chloe (see below). Brady asks Lucas what if it is true...what if she is alive? Lucas says if she is...what will he do about Nicole? They just want the others to hurry up so they can get out of there. Brady says there are lots of questions waiting for them back home. After Sami gets off the phone, Lucas finds her. Sami is worrying about what she has caused. Meanwhile, Brady says if Chloe IS alive, he will find her...even if it takes the rest of his life.

AT THE HOSPITAL...Chloe frets and worries about answering the phone and Brady hearing her. Nicole tries to assure her that it will be okay and she will convince Brady that it wasn’t her. But Chloe is sure that he will come looking for her. Later, Chloe is asleep as Nicole ponders what to do. She has an idea and says maybe it’s time that Chloe really die. She takes the pillow and covers her face, gleefully saying “Die, diva bitch, die” as Chloe struggles. Yes, of course it is a fantasy (as we suspected) and after Chloe wakes up she asks Nicole to help her. She can’t let Brady learn the truth as Nicole worries about that as well. Nicole’s phone rings and she answers it to find “Stan”. She is told that Brady knows Chloe is alive and for Nicole not to harm her. Nicole tells her it’s too late, the damage is done. “Stan” tells her she had better come up with a story because Brady is on his way home and hell-bent on finding her. Chloe asks Nicole what is wrong and she says it’s over...Brady is on his way home to reunite with her. Chloe stares into the mirror as Nicole begins to cry.

AT THE PENTHOUSE...John finds out that Lucas and Sami are aboard the jet but Kate is worried about Philip. Belle comes rushing in, blubbering about Shawn and Philip, fearing they are dead, telling them about the phone call. Kate goes out on the terrace, followed by Roman and cries. John is on the phone with Shane as Marlena tries to comfort Belle, who is blubbering it is all her fault. Roman tries to keep Kate positive, but she whines about her “baby”. She goes on and on about blaming Chloe, then Belle...everyone but Philip (who MADE the decision), blah, blah, blah. Roman tells her that he is there for her and they will get through this. Marlena assures Belle that they will find them soon as Belle continues to blame herself. Kate sashays in agreeing with her and verbally attacks Belle. Roman, John and Marlena all try to get her to shut up, but she is determined to lay all the blame on Belle’s shoulders and refuses to back down. She tells her what she has done is unforgivable and then storms out with Roman on her heels. Belle tells her parents that Kate is right...it IS her fault. Marlena tells her not to let Kate get to her...it is the emotions talking...once Philip is home, she will be okay. But Belle is sure that Philip will end up hating her (IF he makes it home) as her parents console her. In the hallway, Kate tells Roman she wants to be alone. He tells her that he loves her and will be there for her.

BACK IN THE WAR ZONE...Shawn wants to go out and find Philip (they can’t get a signal from him, his radio is dead). He goes to find him but is stopped. They threaten to arrest him for interfering if he goes. During all this, we see several shots of an “out cold” Philip. The marine gets a message that he has been found. Shawn asks if he is alive. The marine tells him that there wasn’t much they could do for him. Freeze frame on Shawn’s face...as the previews show...

Kate (to Roman): I’ll be honest with you if you are honest about your feelings for Marlena...

Nicole (to Marlena): You got down and dirty with your ex at that castle and I’ll bet you haven’t even bothered to tell John have you?...

Lucas (to Sami): I know you...there is something you aren’t telling me...what is it?...

Belle (crying): NOOOOO...Philip can’t die...I can’t lose him...

Summary: Family and Friends hear about Philip being in an explosion and that the rest return home; Chloe seeks Marlena's counsel on whether to tell Brady she's alive; Lucas vows to get to the truth from Kate about her part in everything as Sami nervously fears her part will also be revealed.

AT THE CLINIC
Chloe and her new best friend (Nicole) chat about Brady's return. Chloe calls Marlena (with Nicole sitting there) saying Nancy's busy with her baby sister and she asks to speak professionally with Marlena ASAP. Nicole's not happy about the call, but Chloe knows Marlena always thinks of what's best for her. Marlena explains to Mimi and Belle that it's someone she's known for a long time and excuses herself from the penthouse. Nicole, in her own subtle way, realizes that Chloe is going to tell Brady she's still alive and tries to talk her out of it. Chloe says that Brady will want to hunt down the responsible nurse and Nicole remembers how she researched and went about accomplishing her task of botching Chloe's surgery. She agrees, Brady will kill her if he finds out what she did.

Marlena arrives and Nicole sticks like glue to the bedside. She asks Marlena to step outside for a private chat and Chloe says it's okay. Marlena speaks outright to Nicole asking why she's there and Nicole back mouthes her about Marlena's own secret in the castle and hasn't told John yet. Later all three of them are talking (why doesn't Marlena just ask Nicole to step out..she is with her patient). Marlena tells them about the welcome home party and suggests Chloe see Brady there. Marlena says it's over and Brady knows the truth. Nicole agrees (sure) and leaves quickly as Marlena smiles and tells Chloe it's time. Chloe rushes into the bathroom to get dressed to go see Brady.

OUR RETURNING WARRIORS...
Brady is on the jet and remembers Tony's saying that Chloe's still alive. We see him remembering hearing Chloe's voice on the phone and realizing Nicole is in on the cover up some how or other. Moocho flashbacks (enough already) as Sami remembers encouraging Nicole to do her dirty deed.

Lucas is still aware Sami's hiding something. Shawn arrives on the jet and tells them about Philip and the explosion. A captain arrives and tells them Philip survived and flown for medical help, but can't release how he was hurt as that's for next of kin only..(despite their own blood connections to him?) BUT, Philip apparently had time to write/dictate a long note to Shawn (and the rest of the F-troop) thanking them for their help, risking their lives..telling Shawn he would have made a good marine (yeah, right) and asks him to tell Belle he can't wait til he can be with her again, this time forever.

Rex and Shawn chat on the jet (still in their combat gear, hats and dirt) about Belle. When was the last time these guys ate? Rex lectures Shawn on his still considering a life with Belle after all Philip's gone through to be with her.

BACK IN SALEM...
Roman finally gets Kate the hell out of the penthouse. He tells her arguing with Belle wasn't helping anyone (guess some of the brain cells are creeping his way). Kate's angst for her daughter in law's feelings (or lack thereof) continue to spew out of her mouth. Roman's own guilty conscience urges him to want to confess to Kate, but doesn't. He asks what her true feelings are for John and knows John still cares for her. Kate asks for them both to open up about their feelings for John and Marlena. He admits Marlena was one of the 2 great loves of his life. Oh joy, more flashbacks of him and Marlena at the castle in bed. He admits powerful feelings arose during their captive ordeal. He admits they both went through an extraordinary ordeal. His ISA contact calls to tell him that all the hostages are on their way back to Salem. He suggests they coordinate a welcome home party for them.

Mimi rushes to the penthouse and Belle tells her about the explosion and Philip being in it. Marlena gets word that the Black jet just took off with ALL the former hostages aboard. Belle's relieved at least Shawn's okay. We see Belle getting a voice message from the chaplain at the loft asking her to call him about Philip. Mimi gets a call that her sentencing date has been moved up to the date she and Rex had set for their wedding. She remembers her chat with Stan on the pier warning her she's doomed. Rex tells Sami he and Mimi don't have any secrets.

Roman calls Belle and asks if she heard the good news about the returning warriors. He asks Belle to spread the word about a party at Alice's. She happily agrees as Roman tells Kate their son Rex is coming home, her son Lucas and his daughter Sami. Roman realizes she and Sami will never see eye to eye, but he remembers asking her in the same spot they're standing now, to look after Sami on their wedding night and is grateful how she did. Despite all that, Sami still found a way to get back into trouble. (yeah, she was so helpful to Sami..getting her INTO trouble). He vows to get the truth out of Sami when she gets home.

BACK ON THE JET, Rex interrupts Lucas and pulls him aside to ask if he'll be his best man as they'll return home just in time for his and Mimi's wedding. Lucas happily agrees.

Sami remembers (oh yes, ANOTHER flashback) Tony's promise to expose her dirty work in Salem. She says Tony is a monster and she just wants to move on and forget him. Lucas wants him caught and punished. The pilot asks for them to buckle up as they're about to land (wow..that's one fast jet!). Everyone on board is anxious to get home and see their loved ones.

MIMI wants Belle to see that Rex finds someone else while she's in prison and for him not to learn about her abortion. They arrive at Alice's and Kate and Roman are there. Of course Kate can't stop herself as she chews into Belle about her disloyalty to Philip (will someone just slap her, please?) We see the chaplain calling Belle again at the loft and telling her they need to speak with her in person about her husband and are on their way to Salem to do so. Belle tries to assure Kate all will be well and not to spoil the night. She and Mimi go inside to get ready and Kate knows she's only going to break Philip's heart.

Seconds after leaving the clinic, Nicole's outside Alice's as Brady walks up (now freshly showered and wearing a paisley shirt?) and he asks where Chloe is. The rest of the group are also showered and in their own clothes as they arrive at Alice's. Sami rushes into Roman's arms and Lucas into Kate's. She asks about Philip and he's surprised she hadn't heard about the explosion. Outside Mimi rushes into Rex's arms as he tells her he can't wait to marry her. We see the Chaplain and his driver heading for Salem to see Isabella. The driver comments how it's going to be a long hard night for her. Rex and Mimi go inside and Shawn (now showered and wearing a clean white shirt) hands Belle a red rose. He tells her about Philip being injured and the letter he gave him. Belle seems surprised about the explosion (huh?). Shawn tells her he doesn't know how serious the injuries or if he'll even survive. Belle says Philip can't die, I can't lose him....

as the previews roll...

Bo to Hope: If Dimera survived that explosion in the castle, maybe mom and Victor did too...

Hope: So maybe they are still alive Bo.

Marlena to Chloe (who now has twice the amount of bandages on her face and head?): As soon as you're ready we can see him. You'll make him the happiest man on earth.

Belle holds her cell phone (must have called home for messages) and Shawn asks her what's wrong?
Belle: It's worse than I thought.

Lucas tells Sami she has to be honest with him about everything if she wants him back...

TUESDAY, JUNE 7th, 2005

Summary: Sorry if this seems to be a jumbled up mess…but that is pretty much what this episode was. Most of it takes place at Alice’s bar with lots of reunions. Lots of little conversations going on as everyone mingles. Although it is nice to see the characters of Victor, Caroline, Shawn Sr., and Cassie again…even if it is briefly. Brady is on the verge of learning the truth about Chloe…as Belle is also on the verge of some news of her own.

ON YET ANOTHER ISLAND SOMEWHERE…we find Caroline and Victor being held prisoner. Bart comes in with a cart with all their favorite foods for dinner. And he even lifts a cover to show a tray of Listerine Pocket Pals (what’s up with the product placement?) for that “after dinner romantic moment”. Caroline shames him, but he carries on, almost giddy. He informs them that they won’t be leaving and that Tony is still alive and has big plans for them. Caroline says she just lost her appetite. However, later, we find them eating dinner and talking about going home and how they miss everyone. Caroline talks about Philip being in the military and how Victor must be worried about him…as well as Nicole getting her claws into Brady. They wonder if they will ever get off the island, but outside, Bart says for them not to plan on it.

AT ALICE’S BAR…most of the guests are enjoying their reunions, as Brady finds Nicole and demands to know where Chloe is. Meanwhile, Marlena sneaks in with a bandaged and cloaked Chloe and stashes her in the office. Chloe fears she is making a mistake but Marlena assures her she hasn’t and that Brady loves her, no matter what she looks like. Nicole tells Brady that Chloe is dead, but he says he knows better and is sure she knows where she is. John walks up, glad to see Brady. Brady tells his dad the news about Chloe. Marlena tells Chloe that she has seen Brady and that he is eager to see her but she is nervous and unsure she is doing the right thing. Marlena assures her that he loves her. Chloe says she needs some time alone first to build her courage so Marlena give her that and leaves. Outside, Brady tells Nicole he wants to talk to his dad alone and she goes inside. He tells John that he talked to Chloe on the phone and is positive she is alive and is sure that Nicole knows where she is. Brady vows to find her. In the office, Chloe stares at Brady’s picture and worries about telling him the truth…wondering if he will still love her looking like she does.

There are reunions going on all around the bar…Sami spots Roman and rushes into his arms, so excited to see him. She asks about Marlena and turns to see her and rushes to her as well as they cry. Kate is happy to see Lucas as well, until he informs her that Philip isn’t there. He tries to assure her that Philip will be okay and goes on to tell her that Sami was the hero for saving them (as Kate rolls her eyes). Roman and Marlena bombard Sami with questions, like HOW she ended up in a war zone, but she side steps them and says she will explain later. Outside, Rex shows up as he and Mimi rush into each others arms and he tells her that he can’t wait to marry her. They go inside as Belle watches and waits for Philip and Shawn. Shawn walks up with a rose and they hug. She asks about Philip and he tells her that he was injured and about the letter. Bo and Hope rush up and are hugging on Shawn, glad he is home. Bo says he will be angry with him later (lol). John walks up as Belle rushes into his arms, crying about Philip. We then see Philip on a chopper with the medics working on him, saying it may be too late and that it will be a miracle if he makes it. Meanwhile, Philip is dreaming of going home to Belle. They all question Shawn, but he doesn’t have any news, but he gives Belle the letter that he dictated for Philip. Bo wishes he could talk to Victor one more time as he and Hope ponder the possibility that if Tony survived the fire, maybe Victor and Caroline did as well. Belle reads the letter, asking how could she turn her back on Philip. (Philip’s dream continues as he reunites with Belle, but he passes out.) Belle calls home to check her messages and gets the ones from the Marine Chaplain and panics. We then see the Chaplain in his car on the way (they have found out she is at Alice’s Bar and are headed there). Belle tells Shawn about the messages as she frets.

Inside, Roman and Marlena worry about Belle (which doesn’t sit well with Sami). Roman goes to check on Kate as Sami asks why Marlena and Roman arent’ together. John walks up welcoming Sami home and no hugs for him (lol). Marlena and John talk about Belle and go to look for her (practically ignoring Sami). After they leave, she whines to Lucas about it. She tells Lucas she is upset that her parents and wants them back together. Roman tries to assure Kate that Philip will be okay and then goes to find Rex. Meanwhile Rex asks Mimi what is wrong, but she doesn’t tell him, just that she is upset over Philip. Kate comes over hugging Rex, thanking him for going after Philip. She informs him that Roman is alive (I forget he didn’t know). Roman and Rex hug as Roman informs him there is another surprise as he turns to see Cassie. They rush into each other’s arms and hug, happy to see each other. Mimi watches, asking how she can break Rex’s heart.

Bo and Hope are talking about the possibility of Caroline and Victor being alive when Shawn Sr. walks up and hears and they toast them. Grandpa has brought Will with him and he rushes over to Sami and Lucas. Sami hugs him tight, glad to see him. He asks her how she ended up there and she blames it all on Tony as Lucas tells him that his mom was a hero. He asks them where they stand…does he trust her again?...will they finally be a family? Lucas says he is going to give her the benefit of the doubt. As Shawn Sr., Bo and Hope are talking about Victor and Caroline, Nicole (who is nursing a drink at the bar) overhears and fears Victor’s homecoming. She asks WHY can’t these people stay dead? (ROFL). Brady spots her and comes over and demands the truth about where Chloe is. She gives him the “poor me” song and dance and then storms off.

Mimi goes outside and hugs Belle, telling her to stay positive, until she learns the whole story. She also informs Belle that she didn’t tell Rex her story either and Belle urges her to tell him soon. Meanwhile, the medics work on Philip on the chopper. Brady goes outside and apologizes to Belle for not bringing Philip home as John comes out as well. He asks Brady what Nicole told him, but he tells him he learned nothing. He is going to do what he should have to start with…call Nancy. Inside, Shawn Sr. visits with Sami and then suggests he and Will go back to the pub, he can spend time with them tomorrow. After they leave, Sami tells Lucas she will do anything to be a family with him and Will. Lucas says he wants to know the truth about Tony. Hope notices the time and tells Bo that they need to go pick up Zack from Julie and Doug’s but he says Zack is spending the night and he has somewhere special he wants to take her so they can have some time alone. In the office, Chloe continues to fret about seeing Brady and decides she can’t go through with it…she can’t let him see her like this. Meanwhile, Brady is looking for a quiet place so he can call Nancy. Marlena runs into Nicole outside and urges her to tell Brady the truth. She refuses and she tells her it may already be too late…Chloe is there and he may already know. Brady walks into the office looks shocked and says “Oh my God”. In the closing scene of the show, Kate goes outside and jumps Belle once again…just as the Chaplain arrives. She is asking if Philip is okay. Philip is being wheeled into a hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany as the doctor is informed his blood pressure is 70/50. The doctor says it may be too late. The camera freezes on Philip as the previews show…

Nicole (to Marlena): Chloe may need to keep lying to Brady…did you ever think of that?...as YOU may need to keep lying to your husband…

Hope (to Bo): Maybe a part of you may have known it was Billie and not me… Bo: No way that would have happened…if I had known anything…Hope: I know one way…

Lucas (to Sami): It is impossible for us to have a future together unless the lying stops for good…

Belle (crying on the phone): Oh God…NO!...

This show jumps around a lot, with hardly any scene lasting more than 30 seconds or so, at the most a minute, it seemed. The so-called party continues at Alice’s, but everyone there is miserable, while the one bright spot is the surprise Bo has for Hope.

IN YET ANOTHER SECRET HIDEAWAY ON ANOTHER TROPICAL ISLAND, Bart is playing solitaire with a deck of cards that has Salemite faces in place of kings & queens. He debates about what to play on the king of clubs….(Bo), should it be the queen of hearts (Hope) or queen of diamonds (Billie). Tony comes in, telling Bart to play the card causing the most pain. Bart asks who is the next to get slammed, as Tony picks up a big knife (what the heck was it doing on that table?) and slams it down on the queen of spades (Sami). Later, Tony looks at the cards, saying he still has a young Georgia up his sleeve, as we see the Ace of Hearts, with a profile of a female in the middle, and the word Georgia below it. He tells Bart timing is crucial, and all will pay for what they did to his family. (for cryin’ out loud, tell us what “they” all did to his “family” already……Enough!) He claims he is just continuing his father’s legacy of revenge, then asks Bart if he is keeping an eye on the remaining prisoners. Bart assures him all is well, but Tony knows that John, Bo & Roman now know he’s alive, may have figured Caroline & Victor are, too, and will come looking for him, but he is ready. But first…..he looks at the queen of spades card, saying, destruction is as destruction does. Sami, I hold your terrible fate in my hands.

BO HAS TAKEN HOPE, with her eyes closed, to his special surprise, a romantic picnic on the beach, even the fire is going. Hope is delighted. They talk about Billie, about Bo being gone so much, as he apologizes and promises that he will always keep his family first. (we have heard that too many times already). Hope is understanding, saying she would never stop him looking for his daughter, that if she had one, she would not be able to rest til she found her. (And you are both SURE that Georgia is alive, huh? WHEN are you going to dig up her grave in Salem and check the casket?) They lay on the blanket, talk about the stars, and make love…….a couple of times. LOL. They laugh, talk about getting caught there, being arrested and what the charges would be. They reminisce about sailing around the world, and talk of now being on the right course.

THO EVERYONE IS STILL AT ALICE’S, the atmosphere matches those lyrics…….”gloom, despair and misery…..”. Lucas wants the truth from Sami on her involvement with Tony. Mimi tells herself for the 100th time she has to tell Rex about going to jail. Marlena argues with Nicole about Chloe, who still debates with herself about telling Brady she is alive. Yawwnnnn. Replay of Brady looking for a quiet place to use his cell phone, then opening the office door, saying Oh, my God. Kate rants at Belle for the hundredth time. John murmurs an ineffectual, “take it easy, Kate”.

Meanwhile we see Philip in the O.R., dreaming about Belle a couple of times, with the doctors working on him. Phil is dreaming about making love to Belle (what else) and both proclaiming their love. The doctors are saying it is no use, worse than they thought, as Phil begins to slip away. In his dream, he disappears, with Belle saying No, No.

Back at Alice’s, the Marine Chaplain arrives, doesn’t say anything, so Belle jumps to the conclusion that Philip is dead. But no, he finally tells her that Philip was severely injured, and is undergoing emergency surgery in Wiesbaden, Germany. He explains how Philip stepped on a land mind trying to rescue a fellow soldier. Brady was saying OMG, cuz he smelled Chloe’s perfume in the room (ya know, this is all getting really old, these scenes that end with the show trying to make us think one thing, then returning after a commercial, and it is something completely different). Chloe is hiding, naturally, as Brady goes into a long monologue about missing Chloe, wanting to hold her, etc. etc. Lucas & Sami talk about Tony, the master manipulator. Lucas knows how Tony offers people what they want most, (clue Sami to have another FB to Tony showing her the video of her parents & the Chinese buffet in the castle) but Sami swears to Lucas she did not work for Tony. He goes to talk to Kate, as she tells herself she doesn’t know how many lies she is going to have to tell now.

Mimi AGAIN tells herself she will tell Rex about going to jail, (zzzzz) but backs off again, as she only pretends her secret was that Rex’s dad and sis were alive. Rex claims he cannot wait for their wedding day, as Mimi has fantasy of being in a cell dressed as a bride. Sami sees Daddy, asking him if he wouldn’t rather be with Mom. Roman firmly tells her that he is married to Kate, her mother married to John, that is the way it is, to accept it. Kate tells Lucas about Phil, and complains about Lucas talking to that viper (Sami). John warns Shawn to stay away from Belle, who cries later as her mom & dad comfort her. As Brady begins to leave the office, Nicole comes in, and he tells her he wants the truth, with the hidden Chloe telling herself she has to let him know she is alive.

Brady tells Nicole his dad was right, she is a liar and leaves. Chloe comes out, tells Nicole she has to tell Brady she is alive. Brady sees Marlena, and they greet each other joyously, big hug, then Brady asks for help in finding Chloe, that he is sure she is alive. Shawn tries to comfort Belle, and they pray together. John & Roman talk about finding Tony, & John has an idea. Lucas again warns Sami that a future w/him means no more lies, and leaves to go talk to Kate. Sami’s cell phone rings. It is Tony.

Outside, Chloe & Nicole walk on the terrace, as Nicole tries to convince Chloe not to tell Brady. Inside, as Brady talks to Marlena about Chloe, she sees, thru the window, Chloe on the terrace, telling Brady to go outside, get some air, and he will be better for it. Rex wonders where Bonnie is, but Mimi explains she went to Nashville, to the Country Music Festival, but when she heard about the boys coming home, said she would hop the lst plane back. (Glad they explained why Bonnie was not at her own place of business. LOL) Rex babbles again to Mimi about how much he loves her, but she says to stop it, she is not perfect and she cannot marry him. Roman wonders how they can find Tony, and John says to look no further than his daughter, Samantha. On the phone, Tony threatens Sami about her being Stan, and all her dirty deeds. Kate comes up to Belle & Shawn, telling Shawn to get lost, that Belle belongs to Philip. Belle’s cell phone rings, it is Dr. Gage in Germany. We see Belle’s face changing to shock, as she says, oh, no…………and the previews show……..

Sami (on phone): No, you can’t do that, Tony, Please! Just tell me what you want.

Bo to Hope: I just think our son should prepare himself for the possibility he might have to spend the rest of his life without Belle

Kate to Shawn: Take your hands off her – she’s still Philip’s wife
Shawn: She’s scare to death, Kate

Summary: Nothing new here...this show is pretty much a rehash of everything that has already happened. Nicole tries to convince Brady that Chloe is dead...Tony threatens Sami...Bo and Hope discuss Shawn.

BO & HOPE...enjoy an evening by the fire (still out in the woods somewhere). She hopes that things will be back to normal soon. But Bo isn’t as optimistic. He is a bit worried about Billie’s relationship with Chelsea, afraid she is using her as a Georgia substitute. But Hope thinks it is a good thing. They also talk about Shawn and how glad they are he is back home safe and sound. They are proud of him, even though he was irresponsible. But Bo belives that his motives are questionalbe...it was all about Belle. Hope defends her son, but Bo thinks he was being selfish. Hope says that Shawn, like everyone else is praying for Philip’s condition. But Bo is sure that when Philip gets home, he will have his heart broken. Bo asks her what would she do if she were in Belle’s shoes...would she walk away from Philip? Hope somewhat agrees that it won’t be pretty, but says that Shawn and Belle have always loved each other. But Bo says that Shawn should be prepared for the worst and to live without Belle.

OUT ON THE TERRACE...Chloe is anxious to tell Brady the truth...that she is alive and asks Nicole to go get him. Nicole sees Brady talking with Marlena and continues to try and talk Chloe out of it. Inside, Brady tells Marlena he KNOWS that Chloe is alilve as Marlena sees Chloe and encourages him to go out on the terrace to get some air, leaving him suspicious. Chloe tells Nicole she may as well reveal herself to Brady, because he will not stop until he finds her and she feels that her hand has been forced. Nicole continues to discourage her, advising her not to rush into anything. She tells her that she will try and convince Brady that she is dead, to give her more time to make the right decision. (Oh, enough already). She tells Chloe the choice is hers...but she must make it quickly...Brady is on his way out. Brady asks Marlena if she thinks that Nicole is telling him the truth. She tells him that if Nicole truly loves him, she will not lie (hahaha). He goes outside and finds Nicole (Chloe is hiding in the bushes) and demands answers from her. Nicole goes through her song and dance (yet again) about how Chloe is dead and how she cannot compete with a ghost. But Brady isn’t buying it...he is SURE that Chloe is alive. Nicole tells him she IS alive...in his heart. She whines and moans about his “obsession” with a dead woman and says that there may be no hope for them. (As Chloe is impressed and thinks to herself “she is GOOD”) He demands the truth as Nicole scrambles for an explanation. She finally comes up with one...Tony is the one who placed the call...and that it must have been a DiMera trick. (That’s always the out for Salemites...blame it on a DiMera plot, lol).

OUTSIDE...Kate jumps Shawn for talking with Belle. She gets a call from the German hopsital (from Dr. Gage) but he is called back to ICU before she gets a status on Philip. She cries on Shawn’s shoulder but Kate yanks her away, demanding details. Shawn tries to be reassuring and positive, but Kate says that Shawn doesn’t care if Philip is dead or alive...he just wants Belle. They start arguing as he asks Kate WHY she would want her son in a loveless marriage. Belle says she DOES love Philip, but it sounds like the guilt talking. Kate says Shawn would be happier if Philip were dead. Belle tells them both to shut up and runs inside.

INSIDE...Sami is still on the phone with Tony (she is the entire show) as he continues to threaten to expose ehr dirty deads. He starts by threatening to tell Lucas. He calls her “Stan” which angers her. He laughs at her and yucks it up as he taunts her, telling her that he has her DNA all over the disguise. She tries to end it all but he says it is far from over. She tries to justify her actions, but he reminds her of all her dirty deeds against John, Billie, Mimi, Chloe and the guys (accompanined with lots of LONG flashbacks...yawn...just in case we have forgotten). He assures her that if he exposes “Stan”, by the time she gets out of prison, she will “have lost the bloom of youth”. (Bart chimes in that she will be OLD, lol). She wants to call a truce and leave each other alone...she knows she made mistakes, but she is going to learn from them. Tony assures her that he will see to that.

MEANWHILE...John and Roman talk about the search for Tony. John thinks that Sami knows more than she is telling as Roman defends her and doesn’t believe it. They talk about Sami’s past deeds and John says he doesn’t think she has changed a bit. John says she blames everyone for her misfortune and is bent on revenge against everyone she thinks wronged her. Lucas and Marlena walk up and defend Sami as well. Lucas says that “Stan” is the bad guy...he is the one that betrayed them.

Marlena sees Belle rush in upset and everyone goes to her. Marlena tries to comfort her, but she says she needs answers. John calls Shane to see if he can find anything out and assures Kate he will find out. As they hug, Marlena and Roman see them. Roman steps in as John tells them that Shane was no help. John rushes to get Kate a brandy as Lucas pulls Shawn aside, urging him to back off from Belle. He says if he and Kate get into an arguement, it will only upset Belle more. Marlena and John try to comfort Belle as she promises she will stand by him...however long and whatever it takes...until he is well. Belle gets a call and asks how Philip is...then she starts crying, saying “oh no...it can’t be true”...and collapses into Shawn’s arms crying...as the previews show...

Sami: Damn you Tony...what are you going to do to me? Tony: Maybe I’ll just go after the ones you love...like your mother...your father...even Lucas...

Lucas: It’s really bad Rex...worse than you can ever imagine...

Hope (to Bo): Don’t you want to see him fight for the woman he loves? Bo: No matter who gets hurt?...

Belle (to Shawn): You shouldn’t be here. Shawn: But I am...and I’m not letting you go...

Summary: The welcome home party winds down as John, Belle and Kate leave to get ready for trip to Germany; Shawn goes to Belle for a goodbye hug; Nicole tries to convince Brady that Chloe's dead and Tony spills the beans to Nicole about Stan being his pawn.

OUTSIDE ALICE's...
Chloe watches Brady, wanting to see him and vows to do so if need be. Nicole tells Brady that Tony staged the call and it wasn't Chloe. She has excuses for all of Brady's logic that it was Chloe on the phone and acts hurt and upset that he doesn't believe her. He flat out tells her she has to know that if Chloe WERE still alive, he'd be with her, not her (ouch). She continues her irate argument that his logic is off base. He reaffirms to her that Chloe is and will always be the love of his life (must be easy for her to act offended being his wife in real life ;-) She blames Tony for wanting to break them up by putting her in the middle of his fake call to Chloe. She asks him how Nancy, Chloe's devoted mother, told him that Chloe was dead and went through all she's had to put Chloe to rest? Could she put Nancy up to doing that? She tells Brady she loves him and could make him happy, but if it's not what he wants, she hopes he and Chloe's ghost live happily after and goes back inside. Chloe can't stand to see him so upset, but asks herself if she has the courage to tell him she's alive. Brady talks to himself and rationalizes miracles don't happen. Chloe figures this might be the time to show him they do.

Nicole steps inside and hopes she convinced Brady. Tony calls Nicole on her cell and she's shocked to see it is Tony. She warns him that everyone in the whole free world is looking for him. He tells Nicole he knew what she did and how she intentionally botched Chloe's surgery. She denies it but he tells her to cut the crap and admit it. He tells her Stan's his pawn and he's at the same party she's at. She looks around, but doesn't see him. Tony grabs Bart's cards and he has Sami, Nicole and Lucas's cards (2 Queens and a King) in his hand and knows there's trouble ahead for them as he smiles.

INSIDE ALICE'S
John and Marlena tell Shawn that Belle wanted to be alone and they took her home to the loft. They warn him about not going to see her. John's plane isn't available (needs maintenance after trip to get the warriors), but he's working on another plane for Belle to take (gee, how about commercial airline?). Marlena takes Kate for some water when Shawn disagrees that Belle should go to Philip. Shawn talks to Roman and tells him about Philip's letter asking for him to watch out for Belle. Roman guesses that Shawn's concerned that Belle might not leave Philip. He admits that's true, but can't give up on Belle like Roman gave up on Marlena. He can't do that and figures Roman wished he hadn't given up on Marlena either. Roman calmly states they all have to abide by their own decisions and asks him to hang in there.

John returns and says the marines agreed to give Belle and two others seats on a military transport plane to Germany that night. Marlena says it's obvious Kate should go and Kate thinks Marlena should too for Belle. Marlena disagrees and says John should go as everyone exchanges glances. Marlena says John can cut through more red tape over there than she could (true) and Kate needs to be with her son. Roman said he has to get the search for Ma and Victor started as well. Roman offers to drive Kate home to pack, but she vants to be alone..(GMAB, they've been apart for over a year), so he agrees and kisses her goodbye. John hugs Marlena and crying, she tells him she'll miss him. John asks Roman to call if he gets any leads on Tony. The men ask each other to look out for each other's wives.

Rex and Lucas talk about Philip. Rex tells Shawn that Mimi ran out crying and he's going to find her and Shawn goes with him. Rex goes to his loft and Shawn to Belle's. She opens the door and tells him he shouldn't be there. Later Mimi returns to the loft and find Rex leaving another message for her.

Lucas goes to find Sami and opens the door to her in mid conversation. Tony suggests she tell Lucas everything, but she hangs up on him after telling “Will” goodnight.

AT THE LOFT
Belle returns home to a dark loft and finds Mimi crying. She tells Mimi about Philip's leg being amputated. She asks Mimi to help her pack to go to Germany. Belle cries about how she was going to break Philip's heart and ask for a divorce when Philip returned, but she can't do that now.

John calls Belle and tells his Izzy about the flight arrangements. She's worried about Kate, but he says not to be and Kate's happy that Belle will be there for Philip. Belle asks Shawn to leave and he asks to hug her just one more time before she leaves and they he'll go. She agrees and goes into his arms crying as Kate walks up to the open door (doesn't anyone shut doors in Salem?) and sees.

ON THE BEACH...
Hope and Bo talk about Shawn and Belle. He doesn't agree Shawn should go after Belle being she's married. Hope pleads Shawn's case. Bo mentions other couples like Ma and Victor, Marlena and Roman that have had similar situations and Hope cites him and Billie. He gives Victor verbal kudos for standing back and letting the love of his life (Caroline) be with his father and not interfering. He explains how is this different from Billie going after him, a married man? She says because HE'S madly in love with his wife, right?, where Belle isn't with Philip. He confirms he doesn't love Billie and suggests they let the three adults work it out on their own. Hope says it's ultimately Belle's choice and he agrees. Bo says what's important is THEY'RE together and will always be. He tells his fancy face he loves her more than anything or anyone and she seconds that love as they fall back on the ground in each other's arms.

Sami continues her marathon call with Tony while no one else notices he taunts her. She suggests a truce and learned a lesson this time, but he suggests harming her parents or Lucas. Tony promises Sami that the world would come to a crashing end for her when she leasts expects it. She says Lucas' name when he opens the door and Tony suggests she just tell Lucas the truth. Sami hears about Philip's leg and Lucas vows to kill that bastard Stan if he even finds him, saying it was all his fault (hey, he didn't make Philip return to duty after you all were rescued). Nicole focusses in on Sami's eyes and pieces together that she was Stan...as the previews roll...

Chloe: It's time to tell Brady that I'm alive..
Brady: Oh my God, it's you?

Sami to Lucas: Do you hate me? Nicole (as she grabs a chair and sits down with Sami and Lucas): Well, if he doesn't now, he will when he hears what you did this time.

Marlena to Belle: I'm not sure he could live with a broken heart?
Belle: Are you saying that I shouldn't tell him about wanting to be with Shawn?

Mimi to Rex: I can't marry you, not anywhere.
Rex: What are you talking about, why not?

Summary: Kate seizes the opportunity to berate Belle, yet again, but this time Marlena is witness to it…Kate then takes desperate measures to get Shawn out of the picture…Nicole figures out the mystery of Stan/Sami…Chloe loses her nerve…Mimi runs out on Rex.

AT THE LOFT…Kate barges in to find Shawn and Belle hugging and starts ranting and yelling at her, calling her a liar. They try to explain as Shawn takes the blame. But Kate says she is even worse than Sami. Belle asks her if she has never been in love with one man and at the same time had feelings for another. Marlena walks in and says “of course she has” as she talks about still having feelings for Roman even though she accepted John’s proposal. (John is outside on the phone trying to get more info about Philip. He tells whoever he is talking to (Shane maybe?) that while he is Germany, he plans on searching for Tony as well). Kate tries to justify her actions, saying it is different situation…she thought that Roman was dead….but Belle is betraying Philip. She turns and continues to berate Belle. Shawn defends Belle as he and Kate end up in a yelling match. John comes tearing in asking “what the HELL are you doing here?” Marlena tells him that she came over to see Belle one last time and walked in to witness Kate berating her…yet again. Shawn and Marlena both side with Belle as Kate continues to trash her, saying she is only going to see Philip out of guilt. Kate says that everything that has happened to Philip is all Belle’s fault…and then storms out and John goes after her. Marlena asks Shawn if she can talk to Belle privately for a few minutes and he leaves the room. Marlena tells her that she is glad she came by. She says she understands the situation and doesn’t blame her…she and Shawn have been in love ever since they were “pups”…(lol, yes, she does say that ;-)…it’s only natural. BUT, on the flip side, she must also think of Philip…he has lost so much and she isn’t sure that he can handle a broken heart right now as well.

In the hallway, John tries to calm Kate down, explaining that Belle is having a rough time right now as well and they all know how complicated love can be. But Kate says it’s not the same and that Shawn is only manipulating Belle…and she doesn’t want to see Philip hurt. John tells her that they are all adults and must live their own lives (AMEN). He goes back inside to check on Belle. While he is gone, Kate says that sometimes parents have to get involved and she will NOT let Shawn take away Philip’s chance at happiness. She calls Judge Fitzpatrick (getting on a first name basis with her, Karen). She asks her about her campaign being in trouble and even offers her a job at Basic Black in the legal department. Karen is suspicious but Kate goes on to tell her about Philip and how Shawn’s case has never come up. She presses her to pursue the case. Later, apparently Kate has explained it all to her and Karen tells her she had no idea all that was going on. She promises Kate she will make room on the calendar for the Brady case. After hanging up, Kate is now happy and says that by the time they get back, Shawn Brady will be taken care of.

John goes back inside as he and Marlena try to comfort Belle. She tells them that a part of her still loves Philip and she does NOT want to hurt him. Shawn returns as Marlena asks John about Kate. She takes up for Belle and Shawn but John tells her there is a lot she doesn’t know about. He tells her about Shawn crashing the wedding as she informs him that she SAW that and everything else that Tony showed them, to torture them. (He didn’t know that she and Roman saw video). She tells him that she knew all along that Belle was making a mistake by marrying Philip, but was helpless to stop it. Marlena tells John that she was in the same position years ago and talks about how she loved Roman, but Stefano kept them apart and she thought that John was Roman and fell in love with him. Stunned, John asks if Roman was her “Shawn” and he was her “Philip”? Is Roman the one she always wanted to be with? Shawn tells Belle that he wants to go to Germany with them, but she tells him absolutely not, it would drive Kate nuts. She assures him that she will be okay…she is getting used to Kate’s attacks.

ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING…Rex tries to get an explanation from Mimi for her actions, but she changes the subject and talks about Philip. He suggests they relax as he gets wine and toasts their being back together, promising they will never be apart. He talks about their future, but she stops him. She only wishes their love were stronger. He asks her what’s wrong…what did he do? But she keeps avoiding his questions and she ends up saying she is sorry and runs out. We see her later on the roof, on the phone with her mom, telling her that she is going to tell Rex the truth…all of it. He comes out asking why she ran out on him. She tells him that she cannot marry him…because she is going to jail…as he stands there with his mouth hanging open.

OUTSIDE AT ALICE’S BAR…Brady continues to talk to himself about Chloe, wishing she were there. She wants to reveal herself, but is afraid. She has flashbacks of talking to both Marlena and Nicole and decides the time is right. He looks over and says , O my God…it’s you. No, it’s not Chloe, it’s Judge Fitzpatrick, who congratulates him on their recent mission (WHY?...they didn’t bring Philip back!) She is the one to inform him about Philip’s condition. Chloe hears this and gasps as Brady asks who’s there. She doesn’t answer so he decides to go back inside….just as Chloe steps out of the bushes. She decides that maybe Nicole is right…she should wait until the time is right.

INSIDE THE BAR…Nicole stares at Sami, pondering what to do. She has a string of flashbacks of Stan, wondering if it could be true…IS Sami really Stan? She is sure that he is a manipulator like Sami. Sami sees Nicole and is a bit nervous, telling Lucas that she keeps staring at her. Nicole shifts gears for a second, wondering what is going on outside. She says that now with Tony threatening her, her back is against the wall. She has more flashbacks of Stan, searching for a clue so she can be positive…she needs proof before confronting Sami. Sami is now really paranoid and tells Lucas she is worried what Nicole is up to, because she hates her so much. Lucas tells her that everyone hates her. Sami asks “do YOU hate me?” just as Nicole sashays up, saying “if he doesn’t already, he will when he finds out what you’ve done this time”. Sami tries to shoo her away and then so does Lucas, telling her to leave them alone. Nicole glances over and sees Chloe leaving the area and thinks things may be looking up for her. She congratulates Lucas and Sami for making it home safely, but still wonders how Sami ended up in a war zone. She starts staring at Sami, imagining her with a different hair style, nose a little different, and a few other details (contacts, moustache) and then as we see Sami morph into Stan, Nicole gasps. Sami tells her it isn’t polite to stare as Nicole informs her it isn’t polite to do a LOT of things. They start sniping back and forth and almost get into a brawl, but Lucas separates them and he drags Nicole off, asking what is wrong with her and calls her a lunatic. He says that he feels sorry for her, because if Chloe is alive, Brady is going to dump her in a second. She tells him that Chloe IS dead but he tells her that Brady is convinced she is alive and IF she is, Nicole should leave them alone. Nicole says she hopes he and Sami get back together…they DESERVE each other and then she storms off.

Meanwhile, Chloe has returned to the clinic (in tears) to find Craig there. She tells him that she went to tell Brady she is alive but chickened out. She explains to him the story about Tony revealing to Brady that she is alive and how he is now determined to find her. She also tells him that Marlena and Nancy both are urging her to tell him. Craig asks what does SHE want?…it has to be her decision. And whatever that decision is…he will love and support her. She doesn’t know what to do, she is so confused. He hugs her and comforts her.

Back at Alice’s…Lucas gets a phone call and goes outside to take it, where he runs into Brady. Brady tells him that now, he isn’t so sure that Chloe is alive…maybe it was just wishful thinking. Lucas tells him that he knows someone else who is doing a lot of wishful thinking…that is Nicole. Back inside, Nicole is sure that she can hold on to Brady…she just needs a little help. And she knows just where to get it. She walks over to Sami (who has her back to her) and says (in a deep voice) “Stan?” Sami says “what?” and whirls around as Nicole breaks into laughter. She says she KNEW it was true…she IS Stan…and she just can’t wait to tell everyone her dirty little secret. There is a split screen of Sami/Stan as the previews show…

Marlena (to John): If I hadn’t been tricked by Stefano, I would still be married to Roman. John: Are you saying that you still want to be with Roman?...

Belle (to Shawn): As far as Philip is concerned, I am still his wife…I need to be there with him if he is going to get better…

Rex (to Mimi, with Patrick and Bonnie in the background): What are you talking about? Mimi: I have already confessed…

Billie (to Bo and Hope): It’s ironic that Hope has always accused me of trying to go after you and break up your marriage, when that is exactly what she is encouraging Shawn to do to Belle and Philip…

An abbreviated summary today, am subbing at last minute. John, Kate & Belle leave for Germany, Jack has a birthday celebration, while Mimi finally tells Rex part of her secret.

Belle finishes packing, while John & Marlena continue their conversation about how Tony has interfered in their lives. She tells him she would still be married to Roman, but assures him that is NOT what she wishes was the case. Both declare their love for each other. Meanwhile, Kate is happy she has convinced the judge to move Shawn’s case forward, figuring that is going to give Philip a better opportunity with Belle. She says aloud she has no issues with Belle, & Roman overhears, glad she is no longer angry with her. John tells all they have to get going, and they leave. Marlena stays behind to “tidy up”, but wants to talk to Shawn. She tells him she knows what he is going through, how much he is hurting, etc. He leaves. Roman comes back, they chat a bit, then Marlena gets a bit dizzy. He gets her some water, she says she feels better, just was a bit lightheaded. He gets a message to go to the station, leaves her, she stands up, drops the bottle of water, and puts her hand on her stomach.

Bonnie rushes in, looking for Mimi, who is no where to be seen. She sees a half empty glass of wine, and drinks up. LOL….then starts talking to herself about “what if” Mimi told Rex, became despondent, drank a bottle of wine…then jumped off the terrace. (I think you would have seen her when you arrived, Bonnie, plus ambulances, cops, etc.) She blames herself for everything that has happened, because she encouraged Mimi to get the abortion. Patrick comes in, saying she is right, it all IS her fault. I think they go up to the roof, see Mimi & Rex, and she takes Mimi aside, trying to tell her not to spill the beans. But Mimi is determined, goes to Rex, tells him that she is going to jail for attempted murder of Jan, gives a short, but not entirely truthful explanation of the argument & Jan’s fall. (Saying Jan pushed her, she pushed Jan & Jan fell). She tells Rex it is over, they are through.

Jen, Abby & Chelsea are in the Deveraux kitchen, putting the finishing touches on a birthday cake for Jack. Bo & Hope come in, as Jen explains they were all half way to the Horton cabin, when the weather forecast of rain all week came on, so they returned home (lol, am going thru a whole week of rain, too, ) As Abby picks the cake up to take it to the other room, Jack comes barging thru the kitchen door, splat goes the cake. Everyone laughs, & by now, Billie has joined the group. Jack is chagrined, tastes a bit w/his finger, and says to give him a fork, he will eat it off the floor. Nope, they will ALL bake another, and they do. Chelsea watches the happy family, and goes outside. Billie & Hope get into a discussion about Philip, leading to talk of Shawn going after Belle, & even Billie mentioning Hope always saying Billie going after Bo. He comes in, saying something to Billie about knocking it off. However Billie sees Chelsea thru the window and goes outside, as Chelsea is beginning to light up a cigarette. Billie talks a bit about smoking being bad, besides making your clothes and hair stink, etc. Chelsea tells her she is NOT her mom, and don’t tell her what to do. (WHERE is Chelsea staying? In her own home? With Abby? She cannot be staying with Billie, that is obvious in their conversations)
Inside, the cake was finished, decorated, candles lit and blown out, with everyone making a wish for Philip’s safe return home, cut and eaten to the last crumb. Jack (it is mentioned he judged cakes at County Fair for 3 years, LOLOL) says if Gramma Alice’s cake and Abby’s were side by side, he would not be able to tell the difference. Everyone chatters away, as Jack, looking very solemn, leans with one hand on the kitchen counter. (Uh, oh, )

On the plane, Belle makes a quick call to Shawn before takeoff, just to say she loves him. John tells Kate about Marlena mentioning how she would still be married to Roman, if it wasn’t for DiMeras. He tells Kate how Tony fed Roman & Marlena a constant video stream of what was happening in Salem with their loved ones. Kate is appalled, wondering if they could have seen her & John making love. John says he didn’t see any cameras in the bedroom, but they could have already been taken out. (hey, John, it was the living room……but there WAS one in the bedroom, too). Later Belle is in her seat across the aisle, having fallen asleep. John tucks her in, as she dreams, and we see a series of flashbacks of her & Shawn, then her & Philip. She murmurs Philip’s name, continues to dream of kissing Shawn, who then morphs into Philip (o.k., he is complete w/beard……and Belle has never seen Philip w/a beard….tsk, tsk, Days). John leaves to check with the pilot on their ETA (estimated time of arrival). In her sleep, she says aloud, why am I kissing Philip. The camera zooms in on Kate looking over at Belle…..as the previews show…….(without notes, am going to approximate what I remember)

Brady tells Lucas that going too far gets Sami exactly what she wants

Sami tells Nicole that Tony is blackmailing her for what she did as Stan. Nik says you really screwed up, and Sami replies back, well, if I am screwed, then so are you.

Shawn tells Rex he is worried about losing Belle. Rex says he may have already.

A bearded Philip, weakly says to Belle he is gonna carry her over the threshold. Looking at him, Belle says……he doesn’t know.

Summary: Another LONG night in Salem as Brady and Lucas are still at Alice’s warning each other about Nicole and Sami while Nicole and Sami compare notes outside…..John, Belle and Kate fly all the way to Germany and arrive at the hospital and see Philip; Mimi visits Marlena at the office for her advice while Rex and Shawn are frustrated about what’s happened with Mimi and Belle

AT ALICE’S…
Brady and Lucas sip and chat…each warning the other about Nicole and Sami. They talk about Chloe and how Nicole denied Chloe being alive. Lucas tells him that Nicole has a lot to lose if Chloe IS alive..which causes Brady to think. Brady figures he brings out the better side of Nicole, but Lucas reminds him how she was paid five million $$ to marry him years ago. Brady thinks Sami was working for Tony all the time while Lucas thinks she saved their butts. Brady reminds Lucas how Sami didn’t tell him he was Will’s father for 2 years and not to trust her. Lucas defends Sami and warns Brady not to trust Nicole. They finally miss the two women in question and wonder where they went.

Nicole walks up behind Sami and calls her Stan. When Sami responds, she can tell her guess was right, Sami was Stan. They step outside to talk and Sami admits Tony knew how much she wanted to get back at Kate and was responsible for making her Stan and now is out to get her because she didn’t follow through. Sami reminds Nicole about how she botched Chloe’s surgery and asks how Brady would feel about her when he heard that. Sami warns Nicole that if she goes down, so does she. If Nicole tells Lucas about her being Stan, she’ll let Brady know what Nicole did. Nicole admits it’s a stalemate, but taunts Sami about what would happen if Lucas found out she worked for Tony. Nicole suggests they work together if they want to keep Brady and Lucas. Brady and Lucas see Sami and Nicole through the window talking and realize that can’t be good. Both gals know they don’t trust each other, but Nicole suggests they cover each other’s back and protect each other. The guys join them asking what’s going on.

ON THE ROOF AT THE LOFT…
We see Rex in an unbelieving state about what had just happened with Mimi when he hears someone throwing things around outside. He finds Shawn on the roof, angry how things turned and feeling like he’s lost Belle forever. Both guys are wearing undershirts (finally). Rex tells Shawn about Mimi. Both guys feel they’ve lost their women forever. Rex figures Shawn might be right about Belle if he knows her as well as he thinks. Shawn wants to fly to Germany to be with Belle, but Rex tells him he can’t. Shawn tells Rex to go find Mimi, that’s where he belongs and leaves. Rex is determined to help Mimi.

GERMANY
Belle, Kate and John arrive at the hospital and enter Philip’s room. He’s asleep.and Kate gently strokes his face to let him know she’s there. (this is the same night the Salem warriors returned home and that Philip got hurt and flown to Germany, had surgery,…and Kate, Belle and John also fly to Germany..and find Philip with a nicely grown out beard? Time moves slowly, but Philip’s hair grows FAST!) She tells him someone else is there too as Belle steps up to speak with him, telling him she can’t wait to get him home. He groggily responds he can’t wait to get home and carry her over the threshold and finally have that honeymoon they never got. They realize he doesn’t know about his missing leg yet. John suggests they step outside and let Philip rest. They meet and introduce themselves to Philip’s doctor who explains they tried to save his leg, but were lucky to even save his life. He tells them Philip was too heavily sedated to understand about his leg and he’ll tell him when he wakes up. Belle tells him no, he can’t do that. The doctor feels Philip should only have one visitor at a time and Kate tells the sobbing Belle if she’s up to it, to go in. John tells Kate that Belle is her mother’s daughter and will be okay.

We return after Belle had told Philip about his leg. He tries to look, but she stops him. Belle tries to tell Philip that he’s still alive and that’s all that’s important. He asks if they can sew his leg back on because if not, his life is over. Kate wants to go in, but John stops her. Belle takes Philip’s hand and he calls her beautiful. She tells him there’s something she has to tell him as Kate sobs and turns away from the window as John comforts her. Kate cries how Philip really needs Belle to give him hope for the future and worried she won’t do that. John knows his daughter will as he holds Kate in his arms to comfort her..which despite her grief over Philip you can tell she’s enjoying.

Philip tells Belle how much he loves her and always will as she hugs and comforts him (but doesn’t reply the same words). He asks if someone as beautiful as she is could be with someone who’s lost…he’s not the man she married. He asks if she’ll please stay with him and she cries and says she’s not going anywhere, and promises that.

AT THE SALEM U HOSPITAL…
Marlena’s in her office working (hard to believe she still HAS an office/job after all that’s gone on in her life the last year ;-) She holds her stomach, not feeling well, wondering what’s wrong when Mimi knocks on the door and asks to see her. She’d normally talk to Belle, but being she’s on her way to be with Philip..Mimi breaks down and says she has to talk to someone. She tells Marlena about her abortion. Marlena feels Rex loves Mimi so much he’ll forgive her. She tells Marlena about what happened with Jan and how she’s going to jail on the date they were going to get married as Jan said she did it on tape before going into her coma. She asks Marlena to help Rex move on with his life. She’s afraid to even talk with him because if he learns about the abortion as well it will be too devastating for him. Marlena feels Mimi should tell Rex everything, but Mimi disagrees. As Marlena remembers sleeping with Roman in the castle, Mimi asks if sometimes it’s best to keep things secret. She asks Marlena if she’s ever had to keep a secret from someone she loves, then apologizes for getting too personal. Marlena explains the hypocratic oath makes that difficult, but feels strongly that Mimi should tell Rex. Marlena mentions being a little nauseous and Mimi says she knows what that’s like as the short time she was pregnant, felt that way every day. You can see Marlena realizing that possibility, but covers as she again encourages Mimi to tell Rex the truth. Mimi asks Marlena how much she owes her and Marlena smiles and says she came by as a friend and she helped her too. They hug and Mimi leaves. Marlena counsels herself to take her own advice and to tell John the truth about her and Roman making love. The nurse brings test results Marlena had run for her “patient”. She reads the results to Malena that her patient isn’t sick, she’s pregnant and leaves. Shocked, Marlena says oh my dear, pregnant.

As the previews roll….

John tells Kate he has an idea to show Marlena how much she means to him He says he’s going to ask Marlena to marry him again, it will be like a new beginning for all of them…(this must be his month for proposing, LOL)….

Roman holds up a paper up to Marlena and asks if that’s a pregnancy test.

Belle tells Philip she has a surprise for him, one that he’s going to like a lot.

Lucas asks Sami what’s really going on with her and Nicole?

Summary: NOTHING new here at all. John and Kate talk about Marlena, then he gets an idea…Belle upsets Philip…Sami and Nicole get caught by Lucas and Brady, then make up a cover story…Marlena finds out for sure she is pregnant.

STILL AT ALICE’S BAR…there is a replay of Sami and Nicole’s argument/discussion and them getting caught by a suspicious Lucas and Brady. Sami covers quickly and says she was asking Nicole for a job at Titan, claiming she is desperate. Nicole plays along and tells her she will absolutely NOT hire her. They exchange barbs as Sami calls her a slut and says she couldn’t wait for “old man KIRAKIS” to die so she could start doing his grandson. Brady picks up on the phrase and mispronunciation of Victor’s name (remembering that Stan said the same thing) and calls her on it. She tells him that she was around Stan and probably just picked it up from him and Tony. She turns to Nicole and asks about the job. Nicole tells her NO as they share a knowing look. Lucas and Sami go inside as Brady remembers Lucas’s words/advice and decides to play along with Nicole’s story. He tells her that she was right and perhaps Chloe is dead and it was all in his head and that he didn’t hear her voice. She hugs him and tells him she loves him as he says he is going to put Chloe to rest. As they hug, she smiles as he is thinking he WILL find Chloe…Lucas was right…and Nicole is not going to stop him.

Inside, Lucas asks Sami what was REALLY going on out there…he is sure that Sami and Nicole together spells disaster. But she assures him she was only begging for a job. He starts again asking how she was in a war zone, but she claims that Tony kidnapped her and was holding her prisoner (as she has flashbacks of her transformation into Stan). She tells him that Tony is crazy and he can do anything. Lucas damns Stan and vows to find him and get the truth from him before he kills him.

AT THE GERMAN HOSPITAL…Belle encourages Philip but he is having trouble accepting the fact that he lost his leg. He thanks her for being there but says he doesn’t want to be a burden to her. She assures him that they will make it through this. A Colonel comes by to meet Philip and congratulate him for being a hero and for his service to his country. He gives him some papers to look over later, concerning his options. After he leaves, Belle tells him she has a surprise…one he will like. She pulls out a DVD player, loaded with a DVD that Rex helped her make. They turn it on as it shows pictures of them, their family and friends, set to the song “Wonderful One”. Philip is smiling until he sees a picture of them dancing and grabs the player and throws it across the room smashing it. He says he can’t stand to look at the man he used to be. Doctors come rushing in and have to sedate him. Belle goes out in the hall with one of the doctors, saying it was her fault. The doctor says his reaction is normal but there is something she could do to help…but it will take commitment. She says she will do anything. He tells her that she must love and support him and help him adjust and hang in there with him and see him through this.

Meanwhile, in the cafeteria, John encourages Kate to eat as she is worried about Philip. They talk about all they have been through, especially Marlena and Roman returning from the dead and how awkward everything feels. John agrees and says that he feels that since her return, there is something troubling Marlena and wonders if something happened between her and Roman. But Kate doesn’t believe it. He feels that maybe she is upset over him and Kate getting closer and that maybe he needs to be more understanding. They think that maybe soon, things will get back to normal. John gets an idea and goes to make a phone call. (see below) While he is gone, the Colonel comes by and visits with Kate and offers his card and brags on Philip. He tells her about visiting with him and meeting his wife. He tells her that he will need all the support he can get. Kate just hopes that Shawn ends up in jail. Later, John comes back and tells her that Roman was with Marlena when he called and why he was there. She asks him about his idea and he tells her that when he gets home, he is going to ask Marlena to marry him all over again…as Kate sighs.

AT SALEM UNIVERISTY HOSPITAL…Marlena is still reeling over the news that she may be pregnant…sure that it is a mistake. She calls the lab and asks them to run the test again. Roman shows up, asking her what is wrong. She evades his questions and asks why he is there. He tells her that he is working on his search for Victor and Caroline and that there was a witness that may have seen them. He gets a call from the station and takes down a note…on the BACK of her pregnancy results (she had turned them over). He picks up the paper and sees what it is and asks if that is what is upsetting her. He asks her about the patient but she says it is a complicated situation…which reminds him of the time she was pregnant (with Belle), not knowing if he or John were the father. (Can you say déjà vu, Roman? LOL). She changes the subject and asks how he thinks she may be able to help find Victor and Caroline. He questions her to see if she remembers anything from when they were on the boat and transported to the island (he thinks that maybe chatty Bart may have said something) but she doesn’t. He says he is going to see Lexie and see if she will let him snoop around DiMansion. Marlena doubts he will find anything there, but suggests that he talk to Patrick as well. It is about this time she gets the call from John, thrilled to hear from him. He gives her an update on Philip and apologizes for the way he left things. He hears Roman in the background and she tells him why he is there. After they say their goodbyes, she gives Roman an update on Philip. He tells her he needs to get back to the office and she re-writes his not on a different piece of paper and gives it to him. After he leaves, she frets over the pregnancy test results. She gets a call from Ashley in the lab who informs her that her patient is definitely pregnant. She hangs up the phone and says “Oh my gosh…I am pregnant with Roman’s child!” Freeze frame on her worried face as the previews show…

Philip (to Belle): I want to ask you something…why were you calling to Shawn in your sleep?...

John (to Kate): I need to renew my vows with Marlena. (Kate): Because you broke those vows when you made love to me…

Shawn (to Bo and Hope): I can be back before anyone even notices I am gone. (Bo): I am sick and tired of your cavalier attitude…

Sami (to Nicole): There’s only one thing left for you to do. (Nicole): And what’s that? (Sami): Find a way to get rid of Chloe…PERMANENTLY!...

Summary: It’s FINALLY A NEW DAY in both Salem and Germany…(unfortunately the 7 hrs. time difference is still no big deal as they’re all just having their first cup of coffee for the day)…as Belle wakes up in Philip’s room, Brady stops by Lucas’ apartment, Sami visits Nicole and Mimi goes to the loft. Bo and Hope get a surprise in their mail.

IN GERMANY
John finds Kate in the hospital cafeteria and gives her a single red rose to cheer her up. Taking her hand, he encourages her that modern prosthetics will have Philip up and walking in no time. Kate admits she couldn’t stop thinking about her son, but is thankful he’s still alive and feels that Belle will stay faithful to Philip. A little double message about honoring wedding vows is relayed. (did Kate even stop by the pub to see her daughter that returned from the dead before leaving town?) John tells Kate that they both thought that Roman and Marlena were dead when they made love. He realizes how Roman and Marlena were there for each other all that time and he took Roman’s wife away from him once. Kate reminds him how Marlena is still legally “dead”.

We see Belle sleeping in the guest chair in Philip’s room, calling out for Shawn in her sleep. Unfortunately, so does Philip as he’s awake. He calls her name and she awakens and rushes to see if he needs something, but all he needs is to know why she was saying Shawn’s name in her sleep. She tells Philip that Shawn was with her when she got the news about Philip and was very concerned about him. Philip asks if it’s because Shawn is a whole man where he’s not now (oh paleez). She soothes his concerns and Kate and John arrive. John suggests that he and Belle get some coffee to let Kate and Philip catch up. Philip tells his mother that he is thrilled to hear about Roman and Marlena’s return from the dead. She tells him about how she and Roman and John and Marlena will renew their vows. He thinks it’s a great idea too. Philip wants Dimera caught and punished. To herself, Kate hopes Shawn goes to trial and to prison..out of his and Belle’s life. Kate says they’ll wait until Philip returns home before renewing their vows and he says that’ll be a long time, for them not to wait. She tells him John pulled some strings and he can do all his recovery in Salem. He’s thrilled as he and Belle won’t be apart now, ever. Belle and John talk in the cafeteria. She tells John she’ll stay with Philip as long as he needs her.

AT THE LOFT…
Shawn and Rex talk. Shawn’s credit card got rejected at the airport and he asks Rex for a loan so he can fly to Germany. Rex doesn’t agree that Shawn should be there and says no. Rex knows Marlena will get over to Germany as soon as she can, so Shawn shouldn’t say it’s for Belle’s sake. Rex is still concerned about Mimi and Shawn tells him Mimi is a good person and nothing for him to worry about. He opens the door and finds Mimi there. He softly tells her he hopes she has some answers for Rex’s questions. Mimi arrives at the loft and still trying to decide whether she should do what Dr. Evans says and tell Rex the truth. She pictures the conversation in her mind as Rex gets angry about the abortion. He calls her a murderer despite what she did to Jan. Mimi and Rex talk and she doesn’t tell him anything, but he has a way to get her to change her guilty plea.

AT LUCAS’ APARTMENT…
Brady arrives at Lucas’. He asks if Will’s up and learns Will spend the night at the pub. He’s made a decision and told Nicole he believed her that Chloe was really dead. Lucas is surprised at that. He admits Nicole is beautiful and sexy, he was swayed by her charms too, but doesn’t believe she’s changed. Brady says he’s letting Nicole believe that he believes her and see if she’ll loosen her guard and he can find out more. Lucas vows to dismember Stan if he ever finds him and Brady leaves. Lucas knows Brady will need all the luck he can get with Nicole in his life.

AT THE BRADY’S...
The Brady’s check their mail and Bo’s surprised to find mail for Shawn, from Salem Superior Court. Bo knows their address, not the loft’s, is the one the courts had and feels strongly they should open it and make sure that Shawn doesn’t ignore it in his current state of mind. Hope is reluctant, but agrees. Bo opens it and says, “just as I thought”. We find Shawn’s court date has been moved up.

Shawn arrives and asks for money. Bo asks if it’s to fix his bike and Shawn tells them no, it’s to join Belle in Germany. Bo gives him the notice about the hearing date being moved up. Shawn isn’t concerned about the hearing date and figures he could be back in time and if not, Mickey could have date changed. Bo goes in the kitchen to call Mickey and hopes he can talk some sense into Shawn. Hope is obviously torn about the situation, but was surprised at Shawn’s lack of concern about the court date. Shawn uses Hope’s soft romantic side and asks for money to fly to Belle. After he agrees to be back in time for the court date and will stay in touch 24/7, she gives him her debit card and writes down her password. Bo returns and Shawn leaves, ignoring Bo’s demand that he come back. He asks Hope if she gave him the money and can tell by the guilty look on her face she did.

AT THE MANSION…
Sami knocks softly on the patio door and the two gals continue their threats about squealing on each other. Nicole comments on how Brady and Lucas were suspicious about their conversation and dissect that conversation next (let me take a sip of coffee to keep awake, ahh, thanks…)

Nicole says Brady believes her about Chloe and Sami says she needs help to stop the search for Stan. Nicole wonders why she should help Sami now that her own problem is over. Sami reminds Nicole how having her on her side would be to her advantage. They hear someone coming in the door and Nicole rushes Sami behind the curtains. Brady comes in, not noticing Sami’s hiding behind the curtain, haha.. and tells Nicole he believes her about Chloe being dead and now he just has to talk with Nancy to find out what she says about it. Nicole’s concerned about distressing Nancy after all she’s been through. He heads out to work and says he’ll call Nancy from there. He asks if he’ll see her at the office and she hasn’t decided yet. Sami comes out from the curtains saying Nicole might need her help after all. Outside Brady figures Nicole will lead him to Chloe or Nancy will break down and tell him the truth. Either way, he knows he will be back with Chloe. Sami tells Nicole she has to find a way to get rid of Chloe…. permanently..as the previews roll…

Rex to Mimi: You’re going to be such an amazing mother. You really want to throw all this away?”
Mimi: “I already have”.

Marlena (doesn’t show who she’s talking to): “It’s not John’s baby”.

Belle: when we get back it will be like it was meant to be and forget this year even happened. John and Kate exchange glances.

Bo and Hope are talking to Billie at their front door. Bo says “let’s find out why she’s here.
Hope’s reply: “fine, then she can get the hell out.”

Summary: Rex tries yet again to get the truth from Mimi…Marlena consults with and confides in Dr. Bader…Billie barges in on Bo and Hope, while they are at odds over Shawn…Kate, John and Belle spend time with Philip.

AT THE LOFT…Mimi tries to convince Rex that she is guilty and is going to prison, but he tells her she is wrong. She tells him that he must accept it and move on, even though he tries to convince her to fight and refuses to give up on her. He has fixed a romantic meal as she wavers, but finally says she must pay. He says then he must try harder. He turns on the stereo as Sonny & Cher’s “I Got You Babe” plays and Mimi has flashbacks of him singing to her on the roof. In real time, he asks her to dance and he holds her close as she cries. He begs her not to give up their future. He talks about kids and asks if she really wants to throw all that away. She says she already has as he reminds her that there are always ways they could have kids…lots of kids out there needing homes. He is sure she would be a good mother. She tells him to just stop…she wants all these things, but they will never happen. She is going to jail and he should just forget about her as she rushes out the door.

BILLIE is on the internet doing research, looking for leads to find Georgia. She is thrilled and amazed at what she finds and can’t wait to rush over and show Bo.

MEANWHILE, AT THE BRADY HOUSE…Bo is upset with Hope for giving Shawn the money to go to Germany, reminding her that Belle is married to Philip. But she says she is on the side of true love as Bo reminds her of the vows Belle and Philip took and what they are doing is wrong. She says that marriage was a mistake and everyone knows it…and they can’t live a lie. She talks about how good Belle is for Shawn and how he has cleaned up his act and that true love is worth fighting for….or it used to be. Bo also reminds her that he will be violating the terms of his bail and if the court finds out, he will really be in trouble. Then she points out that Bo didn’t try too awfully hard to stop him AND she knows him well enough to know HE would have done the same thing. Bo says that he is afraid he will just make things worse…3 people in a marriage just doesn’t work. Right on cue…the doorbell rings. Yes of course, it’s Billie. Hope answers the door (not to politely, lol) asking what does SHE want? She says that she needs to talk to Bo about Georgia and that it is important. Hope snides back “isn’t that always the case?” Hope lets her in and tells her to tell him and then get the hell out. (Hmmm…Is Hope growing a backbone?) Billie excitedly tells Bo she found a website with adopted kids looking for their real parents. She signed up and just needs him to sign some papers as well. She is hoping that maybe Georgia will visit that site. Shawn calls while she is there as Hope talks to him. Billie overhears and goes ballistic on Hope for trying to break up her brother’s marriage. Hope says that is SO rich…coming from her…the woman who tried to break up hers and manipulated her husband. Billie says that Philip needs Belle and that Shawn is only going to cause trouble for them. She can’t believe that Bo condones this and by looking at him can tell he is against it. Hope asks her to leave and she says gladly. AND, she says she will NOT let Shawn come between Belle and Philip. Hope slams the door as Billie leaves. Bo tells Hope that this could be bad for Shawn. Hope assures him that if Billie tries anything to hurt Shawn, she will have to go through her.

IN GERMANY…Kate is in with Philip telling him how worried Belle was. Philip fears it will be a long recovery. Meanwhile, John and Belle talk as she assures him that she will stay true to Philip…afterall she has her parents as role models. Kate comes out, telling them that Philip wants to see them. All of them go in to encourage him. Philip thanks them for all they have done and John for arranging it so he can have rehab in Salem. Philip mentions something about John and Marlena renewing their vows, which takes Belle by surprise. Belle asks if it is because he feels guilty about what happened between him and Kate. Philip asks about that and he gets the G-rated version of that story, lol, saying that they thought Roman and Marlena were dead and they turned to each other. Philip sees nothing wrong with that. He tells them that he had asked Shawn to watch over Belle while he was gone. Kate says that was “like asking the fox to watch the hen house”. Philip assures Kate that Shawn would never come between them and that he owes Shawn a lot (as well as the rest of the guys) for trying to save him. He has newfound respect for him. He asks about the renewing of their vows and John says he hasn’t asked Marlena yet…he may surprise her. The nurse comes in and tells them she needs to change his bandages and then he needs some rest, so they all file out. In the hallway, Belle tells them she is worried about Philip. Kate is just glad she is there for him and talks about how much Philip loves her. Belle says that she loves both Shawn and Philip, but Shawn promised to stay away and she is happy that he did.

AT SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL…Dr. Bader (Karen) comes by to visit with Marlena and they get caught up. They talk about her being held hostage and how Roman helped her through that ordeal. Marlena tells her she has a patient she wants to discuss and gives Karen her file. She looks it over and says it doesn’t look good, considering the age of the patient it could cause complications and could be a high-risk pregnancy (although they never mention the age ;-) She says based on what she sees, there could be a chance of not carrying to term. Marlena asks for suggestions, but Karen says she would need to examine the patient first. Marlena describes herself (in second person) to Karen as she gets the impression that Marlena knows her pretty well. She also tells her that the patient’s husband doesn’t know about the pregnancy. Finally, Marlena says she needs to tell her the truth…she is talking about herself…SHE is pregnant and that no one else knows. Karen thinks it is good news and encourages her, saying John will be thrilled over it…and that Belle will be happy to help her out and it will be good practice for her. She assures her that with the proper care and diet and rest, she can make it through the pregnancy just fine. But then, looking at the chart again, Karen realizes she is 2 months pregnant…AND that Marlena hasn’t been back in Salem that long. (Hmmm…maybe Salem PD should hire her as a detective). Marlena tells her she is right…it’s not John’s baby…it’s Roman’s. She explains how they were held captive and became dependent on each other emotionally and physically. Marlena says she should have told John right away, but didn’t…and now she regrets it. Karen tells her she doesn’t HAVE to have the baby, but Marlena says she could never do that. She just doesn’t know what to do. She says just recently, she advised someone else to be honest and how secrets can destroy a relationship (I assume she is speaking of Mimi). She says that when Belle was younger, she always dreamed of having another child…now that dream has become her worst nightmare. She says she doesn’t know what will happen…if her marriage can survive…will John ever be able to forgive her? Karen tells her that she must tell John the truth…she is pregnant with Roman’s child. Camera on Marlena’s worried face…as the previews show…

Brady (to Chloe): I know about your scars and I don’t care. Don’t you know how much I love you?...

Shawn (to Belle): What I want to know is at the end of the day…do you still want to be my wife?...

Rex (to Mimi): You are keeping a secret from me and you are going to tell me right now what it is. (Mimi): Rex…please don’t do this…

Sami (to Roman): What would be perfect is if you and Mom got back together. (Roman): That is NEVER going to happen. (Sami): But Tony promised me! (just as Lucas walks up)…

Summary: Our Salemites are seeking the truth as Roman tries to get it from Sami, Brady from Nicole, Rex from Mimi and Shawn from Belle..while others involved observe.

LUCAS’ APARTMENT
Sami arrives at Lucas and Will’s apartment bearing their favorite muffins for breakfast (Lucas’ Blueberry and Will’s chocolate chip). Will verbalizes he knows Sami’s trying to create that family feeling again and when she confirms that, knows there’s problems ahead. Roman arrives (Lucas says it’s like Grand Central Station, haha) to ask Sami some “official questions” about Tony Dimera. They send Will out of the room (much to his dismay) and Roman asks if Tony mentioned anything about Caroline or Victor. Thankful that’s all Roman wants to know about Tony, she continues denying any knowledge about them being held by Tony. Lucas repeats his need to get his hands on Tony as Roman continues asking Sami what she knows and reminds her that her grandmother’s life might depend on anything she can tell him about Tony or Stan. Roman tells them he’s going to check on Nicole as he remembers Ma telling him on the island that Nicole would do anything to get Victor out of the picture. Lucas figures Nicole’s doing Victor’s grandson right now. Sami starts up about him and her mother being together again and when he denies it, she tells him that Tony promised her. Uh oh…Roman and Lucas want to know what that’s about. They can tell she’s holding back and demand the truth which she said she’ll give them. (yeah, sure). She tells them she was held hostage by Tony and he wanted her to return to Salem and do horrible things for him. Roman wants to take her down to the station for formal questioning. Sami tells Lucas that Tony told her that her parents were still alive and if she wanted to see them alive, she had to help him. She would never willingly help Tony. Roman asks if she did anything unwillingly then and she nervously back pedals and denies it. She’d never fall into a trap set by Tony. Lucas and Roman are determined to find Tony and Roman asks Sami to come down to the station later for that formal statement. Will walks out and comments on that guilty look on Sami’s face. Lucas said as long as Sami tells the truth, it will be okay.

IN HER OFFICE…
Marlena worries how she’ll tell John and Roman about the baby. Mimi stops by, all dressed up pretty in her green pantsuit she’s going to wear to court. She apologizes for not having an appointment. She admits not taking Marlena’s advice and she didn’t tell Rex the truth. She asks if Marlena is still keeping her own secret. She apologizes for getting so personal and knows Marlena would never do that. She tells Marlena what happened with her and Rex. As Mimi paces she nervously taps on the folder with Marlena’s pregnancy test results saying she can’t tell the truth. She thanks Marlena and leaves crying. Rex walks up and wants to know what Mimi’s keeping from him. She says he can’t help her and walks away. Inside her office Marlena’s still got morning sickness.

AT THE COP SHOP..
Rex stops to see Tex and tells him he knows Mimi is innocent. Later Tek calls and leaves a message for Lexie as the other detective overhears. Tek leaves the office.

AT THE CLINIC
Brady visits Chloe at the clinic. He tells her Nancy told him about her scars and he doesn’t care and how much he loves her. She turns and he takes her into his arms for a hug. They exchange I love yous. Of course that was only her dream and she ponders telling Brady the truth.

AT THE MANSION…
Nicole slithers into Brady’s room and drops her robe..crawling into bed with him. She kisses his chest as he drowsily wakes up and kisses her back. He sees Chloe’s face and says her name as he starts kissing her (what’s with Salem men and their troubled vision?). He realizes he’s kissing Nicole and startled (well duh, man). He tells her that they can’t be together if there’s the slightest possibility Victor is alive. She tells him her marriage with Victor was a sham and would be over anyway. Being she might still be his (inject a little laugh from him) that she might be his step grandmother, he can’t have anything to do with her and lets her out. He tells himself he bought some more time to find Chloe as she tells herself she needs to get rid of Chloe. She calls Chloe and tells her she convinced Brady that he was wrong about Chloe being alive and asked if she changed her mind about still telling Brady she’s alive. Chloe pulls out her mirror and looks at her face and says she’s sure. Nicole suggests Chloe pack her bags and leave town. Chloe’s worried about what Nancy would say as Nicole pitches her plan to her. Brady notices the house line is lit on the phone and stares at the phone considering eavesdropping. He picks up the handset.

IN GERMANY…
John and Kate commend our brave military personnel as they sip coffee in the cafeteria. She’s convincing herself and thankful that Belle will stand by Philip. The two feed off each other’s paranoia about Roman and Marlena being alone together in Salem. They trust their spouses and try to convince themselves that all will be okay once they return home and renew their vows.

Belle sleeps next to Philip’s bed (where he’s sleeping too) dreaming about dancing with Philip. Shawn quietly touches her shoulder and she’s surprised to see him there. She manages to get him out of the room before Philip sees him as Shawn asks whatsup with all the pictures of her and Philip. She tells him how Philip needs her during this rough stage and Shawn’s worried about her changing her mind and staying with Philip now. Shawn understands her wanting to help Philip and he appreciates the sacrifices he and other troops have made, but at the end of the day..will she still want to be his wife, ever? When Belle doesn’t answer, he grows edgier. Kate and John return from their coffee break as she’s feeling confident that without Shawn there, Belle will do the right thing by Philip. They round the corner and find Shawn putting his arm on Belle’s shoulder. Kate asks John what the hell Shawn is doing there. Philip calls out for Belle and she rushes in. He drempt that Shawn was there and wanted her back. Belle tells him she’s there for him and he won’t lose her. She promises she’s there for him, always as Shawn watches through the window as the preview for the next DOOL roll…..

Tek to Lexie: The man can’t make love to his wife. That’s Abe’s real problem…
Abe says: Did I hear my name?

Jack to Lexie: What’s the prognosis?
Lexie: Not good.
Jack: “Is that Doctor speak for I’m dying?”
Lexie only stares at him as if to confirm that…

Hospital attendant to Philip: “I’m going to tell you how it’ll go down. Once they find out things won’t be like they were, they take off.”

Shawn to Belle: (do I even have to put it in writing???) “Belle, I just need to know if you’re committed to having a future with me?”

The Deveraux family go to the Salem 500, where Jen gets a happy surprise, but Jack gets disconcerting news from Lexie. Philip sees another Salemite at his hospital, & Chloe is just as determined to leave Salem as Brady is to learn the truth about her.

ABBY & CHELSEA are gushing over a pic in a magazine, drooling over some hunk of a stock car driver, as Jack & Jen pack up picnic baskets for the day at the races. The girls take off giggling, thrilled they are going to see the object of their dreams, lol, & we see Jack suddenly grimace in pain. Jen notices, but evidently he brushes it off, as next time we see them, Jack is telling Jen he will see them at the track, has to go take care of something. He calls Lexie, says he has to see her immediately.

TEK VISITS LEXIE at the hospital, asks her to go for coffee. She says no, she knows he wants more than coffee, he has made his feelings extremely clear, and she is extremely married. Tek doesn’t think Abe is treating her well, and just then Abe comes up. Tek leaves, while Abe gives Lexie a hard time, being sarcastic over the lack of a love life between them, and berating her. He leaves for some lab tests & Tek returns, offering the sympathetic shoulder. Meanwhile, Abe is waiting for a doctor, and up comes Officer Adams, with a report for him. He has checked on Tek, found he is a player, lots of women, short time with each and move on to the next one. Abe vows his wife will not be a victim. Later, Officer Adams runs into Tek, and needles him about Lexie.

Jack has arrived at the hospital, telling Lexie he needs some answers, he has no sense of balance, is light-headed, and has bad pain in his side which has gotten worse. Lexie says additional blood tests must be taken – fine with Jack. Later, she has results, takes him out on the terrace to talk. She tells him his white cell count is extremely low. Jack asks, jokingly, So what’s that? Doctor speak for “I’m dying”? That gets us all “the look” from Lexie, and after commercial break she explains he has a very rare condition. And advises a 2nd opinion. Jack inists on a time line……how many years. Lexie he silent, and he continues on….months, weeks? She tells him at the most, 3 months. (O.K. fair warning to Days. You had just better not go this route with Jack Deveraux). Jack runs off, and Lexie finds him inside. He quietly rages at how he endured all that Tony threw at him to get back to his family, only to find out he is going to die. He rants at God playing his joke (Oh, Matt Ashford, you did bring tears to my eyes) He leaves and Lexie begin to cry.

NICOLE CONTINUES to badger Chloe about leaving Salem. Brady finally picks up the extension, to find out who Nik is talking to, but is too late, as all he hears is a click and dial tone. Nik comes in, claiming she had called her assistant at Titan. Brady calls Nancy, asking her to come over. When she arrives, he questions her about identifying the body at the time of Chloe’s accident, etc. wanting to know if a possibility that Chloe did not die then. Nancy neatly sidesteps all his questions, never telling him an outright lie, but not telling him what he wants to hear, either. Very clever! She leaves, Nicole has eavesdropped on every word, determined to have Brady to herself. Nancy returns to Chloe, still trying to convince her to tell Brady the truth, but Chloe is adamant about leaving Salem on the Titan jet and go to Switzerland. Nicole leaves the mansion, & Brady, just as determined as Nicole, follows her.

AT THE TRACKa gaggle of giggling girls surround this cute guy, demanding autographs. Abby & Chelsea finally get up front, getting him to sign for them. Chelsea wants hers on her shirt….but he makes her turn around & does it on the back. LOLOL (and it is low cut). They ask him what he is doing after the race, he says gonna look up some old friends. A bunch of groupies push them into the background, but they wonder who he could possibly know in sleepy ol’ Salem. Jen comes up, joining into the fun. The girls finally mention his name, Max Brady…..& Jen says…..”Max Brady??” She looks, shouts out MAX! He calls back - “Jennifer Horton”. They give each other a big hug. (Surprising she even recognizes him….what was he when she last saw him? 12 or so?)

IN GERMANY Belle is telling Shawn to leave and he refuses. Philip is having a nightmare about the battlefield, and wakes up, screaming in pain. Belle again tells Shawn to leave, goes into Philip, who is holding his leg, saying he can feel the pain, all the way down to his foot, and he knows it is not there. Belle gets the doctor, who tells him it is phantom pain, and now that he knows what it is he can deal with it. Philip wants to know when he can walk, but doc says he has to heal before being fitted for the prosthesis, and the whole process is going to take a lot of determination & hard work. He is taken to X-Ray, giving Shawn the chance to comfort Belle again. Philip runs into another patient, who tells him how his girl dumped him after he lost his leg. He goes on a real downer, telling Phil it could happen to him, too, yada yada. Philip is confident his wife will stand by him. The doctor talks to Phil about the recovery process taking it’s toll on relationships. Meanwhile, Shawn pesters Belle on whether she is going to have a future with him. She urges him to leave before Philip comes back and sees them. One last embrace….and too late. Philip returns, and sees them thru the window to his room….and the previews show

Chloe telling Nancy that Brady is really close to finding her, and the only way to prevent that is for her to leave Salem, which she intends to do NOW.

Summary: Tek and Lexie have a close encounter at the hospital...Jennifer gets reacquainted with Max…Jack gives Patrick a warning…Brady is oh-so-close to finding Chloe…Philip questions Shawn’s motives.

AT THE DEVERAUX HOUSE…Tek finds Patrick outside the house and tells him that Jack wants him off his property. Patrick says he is only there to pack his things and that’s it. But Tek thinks he is up to something and says he slip up and when he does, he will nail him.

MEANWHILE at the hospital…Lexie and Jack are talking and she urges him to tell Jenn what is going on. He says no and asks Lexie not to tell her either. She wants to talk further, but he says he is on his way to meet Jenn and the family. She thinks he needs to talk about it, and suggests Marlena. He refuses, but she warns him that the symptoms will continue. After he leaves, she looks over his file and has flashbacks of talking to him, where he talks about being separated from his family and how he loves them…more than his own life. He doesn’t want them to know he is dying and living in fear or anticipation of his death. He says the greatest gift he can give them is some happy and special memories. He says he is going to live his life to the fullest…to the end. He says that right now, the most important thing is to get to that tailgate party he promised them and leaves. Back to real time, someone puts their hand on Lexie’s shoulder. She looks at him and says she is glad he is there…she needs him. It’s Tek, who asks why she is upset. She tells him about her patient (doesn’t use Jack’s name) and his situation. Tek agrees with the patient about living in the moment, but she realizes he is talking about her. He tells her that he cares for her and can’t stand seeing her hurt like she is now. He leans in and kisses her and she responds. She stops him, saying she can’t…but she does! Before you know it, they are passionately kissing and ripping each other’s clothes off and he throws her across the desk (woah!).

JACK goes back home and finds Patrick there, telling him to get out. Patrick says he is tired of people accusing him of things (tells him about Tek being there earlier) and says he is only there to get his things. Jack reminds him that all his things are in the garage. He explains that Jenn told him he could take a few extra days to find somewhere to live. Jack tells him to get packed and get out…he can move into his mother’s house. As they leave, Jack tells him he wants him out today.

AT THE RACE TRACK…Abby and Chelsea are shocked to learn that Jenn knows Max as she explains she knew him when he was a kid. Abby asks if he is related to the Bradys and they explain how he and his brother Frankie were adopted by Shawn and Caroline. He tells her that he heard about Caroline in the paper, but Jen tells him that she may still be alive. They are interrupted by 2 ladies as Jenn can’t believe he is so popular. She asks about Frankie and says she would love to see him again. Abby asks about Frankie and asks just HOW good of a friend he was. Jenn explains that they were the same age and went to school together, but Max chimes in, saying they dated. Jenn continues to wonder where Jack is and tells Max she can’t wait for him to meet him. He asks them all to go see the pit area and show them around. Of course Abby and Chelsea jump all over that offer, but Jen says she is going to wait on Jack. Max shows them around as they talk about how dangerous driving is. Chelsea tells him about the wreck they were in and how her parents died. He talks about racing as Chelsea flirts a bit with him…and he flirts back. He offers them tickets for better seats and they rush off excitedly….as one of his pit crew laughs about it.

Meanwhile, Jack finally arrives, telling Jenn he went home to get relish (which he doesn’t have now…he forgot it). She tells him about Max being in the race. She tells him that Abby and Chelsea are with him right now. She asks him what distracted him to make him forget the relish. He starts to explain when Abby and Chelsea walk up saying “look who we found”. Jack turns to see them with Patrick…much to his dismay.

AT THE CLINIC…Nancy is still trying to convince Chloe not to leave as she is signing papers. Chloe asks the nurse to never tell anyone she was there. Nicole comes in, asking if she is all packed. Meanwhile, Brady arrives at the clinic asking the nurse if Nicole is there. She tells him no, so Brady says she must be shopping next door and leaves. Nancy tells Nicole that Chloe is not ready to go and lights in to Nicole for forcing the issue. Nicole says she is only trying to help Chloe. Chloe tells Nancy that she is leaving Salem now. Nancy refuses to help her pack, so Nicole jumps in as Nancy continues to try and change her mind. Chloe says she doesn’t want to be a burden to Brady and wants to see him happy. If Nicole can do that, then so be it. Nancy calls Nicole a conniving… but Chloe stops her. Brady calls Nicole’s cell phone but Chloe begs her not to answer it. Since Nicole doesn’t answer, Brady is now sure she is up to something and is determined to find out what. The nurse returns with the final discharge papers, telling them that Brady is there. Chloe begs her not to tell him she was there and she says she won’t. Nicole offers a wad of money, but the nurse refuses it. She goes back to her station to find Brady going through files. He begs her for information, talking about how much he loves Chloe. She says she can’t tell him anything, but maybe there is someone in room 206 that can help him. He rushes to the room, only to find it empty…except for Nancy, who is in the bathroom. He demands to know where Chloe is. Meanwhile, Chloe and Nicole are hustling out the front door of the clinic and getting in the car. Nicole tells her that they are home-free…soon she will be gone and Brady will not know she is alive.

IN THE GERMAN HOSPITAL…Philip sees Shawn and Belle hugging. Belle turns and sees him watching and then he starts their way. He rolls into the room asking why she didn’t tell him that Shawn was coming. Shawn babbles on about Philip getting hurt and keeps saying stupid remarks like “we were told you had one foot in the grave”. Belle can’t believe how insensitive he is being, as Shawn tries to talk his way out of it, only getting worse. But Philip laughs and says it is the first laugh he has had since being there. He asks Shawn why he is there and he says he just wants to help. Philip asks what does he think he can do that John, Belle, Kate and the doctors haven’t already done. Philip talks about the guys trying to save him and how stupid it was…but he does appreciate their efforts. Philip reminds him that before he left for service, he and Shawn were fighting and the he was trying to come between him and Belle…reminding him that he drove his motorcycle through the window of their wedding. is that what he is trying to do now? Shawn tries to explain but Philip asks if that is still what he is doing…is he trying to do everything to come between them…and steal his wife? Freeze frame on Shawn as the previews show…

Belle (to Shawn): Philip cannot know the truth yet…he’s not ready. We have to keep up this lie. (Shawn): I’m sorry…I can’t and I won’t.

Chloe (to Nicole, on the plane): Oh my God, Nicole…Brady’s out there. (Nicole): Damn it! (Chloe): He’s going to find me…there’s nowhere for me to hide…

Jack (to Patrick): You stay away from my wife and my family. (Patrick): Or what? (Jack): or I kill you…

Jennifer (in shock): Oh my GOSH…Max…NO!

Summary: As the Deveraux clan enjoy the races, Nicole and Chloe anxiously await Nancy (who’s having a hard time getting away from Brady) to take off in the Titan Jet, Philip demands answers in Germany as Belle and Shawn continue their timing argument.

SALEM 500
We return to Jack threatening to kill Patrick if he doesn’t leave him and his family alone. Patrick finally agrees to sit in his own seat and gets arguments from Max and gals when he announces the same. Jenn and Jack argue over Patrick as Jack reiterates how Patrick was working for Tony while he was thought to be dead twice. Jenn reminds him he’s alive now and reminds him how precious life is and brings up Steve and Jack’s donating his kidney to him (hmm, wonder if this is related to his current medical situation). She tells him the girls think of Patrick as an Uncle (yeah, right) and he finally caves and agrees to let them stay. Max recognizes Patrick from somewhere and Patrick says he was a potential sponsor some time ago and use to race himself. (Max looks about 19 years old..not a seasoned driver, LOL). Chelsea and Abby give him a kiss on the cheek for good luck and he wants one from Jenn too, saying he use to dream about that when he lived there. Jenn calls for him to drive safely and the girls laugh at that and google over Patrick’s and Max’s buff bodies. (Chelsea seems to have recovered mentally and physically pretty well). Jack jests with Jenn that he’s going to get a racing suit the next day and she kids it won’t be the same.

We return to the race in progress (sure was a SHORT race for a 500 mile one, haha) as Max’s cheering section watches. Max is veering around cars as Jack says he won’t make it and a shocked look on Jenn’s face. We return in the second part of the show and find Max was able to get around the other driver and won the race. The fans are still sitting in the stands and Max casually walks up to them and says making the race exciting for the fans is part of the fun. (I’ve never been to a race, but I think the fans would be all over him for an autograph, especially if he won the race ;-) Jenn never saw the excitement in racing before, but being there she felt like she was driving the car herself. Jack suggests they move out to the parking lot and fire up the grill, just as thunder starts up. Jenn announces plan B…move to home and bbq in the garage. Jenn asks Max to join them, but figures he’s got plans. He says take out in his motel room..his life isn’t as glamorous as fans think it is…so she insists he come too. They invite Patrick, who refuses until Jenn gives Jack the eye and he asks him to come along (but privately tells him for one burger and a beer, then he’s out of there).

AT THE DEVERAUX’s
The gang arrives and Jenn remembers forgetting to pick up some pies on the way home for dessert. Max remembers Sweet Peas where he use to go with Shawn and Caroline (no Ma and Pop to him?) and offers to go get dessert. He asks favorite flavors and Jenn says Peach while Jack says Strawberry. Patrick looks forlorn and says he won’t be there for dessert. Max offers to take someone and when both Abby and Chelsea say they’ll go, says he only has a 2 seater. Abby tells Chelsea to go and she thanks her friend and accepts. Patrick offers to bring things in from the car and Jack (holding Abby) says they can do it. Jack asks Jenn to go into the kitchen with Abby and he’ll be there in a few minutes and the 3 of them will make the burgers together. Jack calmly tells Patrick, who comments on Jenn’s being uncomfortable, that he leave him and his family alone after he’s had that beer and burger.

Max and Chelsea stop at Lookout Point and mutual attraction is apparent and both verbalize the same. They start kissing.

ON THE TITAN JET…
Nicole is anxious to take off and pours herself a drink (must be smooth flying in that puppy, the tall glass decanter’s just sitting on a tray). The pilot’s got clearance to take off, just doing final check and asks about the 3rd passenger. Nicole wonders what’s holding Nancy up.

AT THE CLINIC…
Brady continues to question Nancy. He knows Chloe’s still alive, tells Nancy he loves Chloe and wants to know where she is. She remembers promising Chloe not to tell Brady anything and asks Brady why he’s persisting on this. He asks why she’s there and notices a bag and finds a bag with Chloe’s picture, clothes and the locket he gave her (hmm..he should join the Salem PD!) He vows he loves Chloe despite whatever medical problem she might have and his life is nothing without her. Nancy cries saying she can’t tell him where Chloe is. She answers her cell and says she can’t talk right now (it’s Chloe)…Brady grabs the phone saying he knows it’s her and demands to know where she is. The call is disconnected.

Nancy tries to say the call was from Craig, but Brady knew it wasn’t a NY area code, but the number seemed familiar. Chloe insists Nancy will keep her word and won’t tell Brady. Nicole calls Brady (after telling the pilot to take off) and he insists she put Chloe on the phone, NOW. Nicole holds firm she’s in her car on her way home from shopping and he stands firm he knows she’s with Chloe. She hangs up on him saying she can’t drive and talk.

Nancy tries to tell Brady that Nicole is the last person Chloe would turn to. Brady won’t be told differently. She tells him she has to get to the airport and he remembers the number from the call Nancy got. It’s the Titan Jet’s number.

GERMANY Philip wants to know WHY Shawn’s there. Shawn says for Belle. Philip remembers how Shawn was angry that he married Belle and wants to know why Shawn’s arms were around his wife when he was wheeled in. Just as Shawn was about to confirm Philip’s suspicions about him and Belle, the nurse arrives and tells him he has an appt. to get measured for a prosthesis. Philip refuses, saying he’s in the middle of an important discussion, but the nurse pulls rank (she’s a captain) and insists. He apologizes and wants Belle and Shawn there when he returns to finish the discussion. Belle rants to Shawn that it’s too soon, but Shawn won’t be held back any longer. Shawn said if it were him..and she reminds him it’s not about HIM, it’s about her and Philip. He is impatient saying he’s waited this long and loves her and knows it’s tearing her up inside too. She turns and cries as he wants to know who she wants to be with..him or Philip. She says him and goes into his arms crying. He doesn’t want anything from her until her and Philip’s divorce is final, just wants this issue resolved. She agrees she loves him too, but right now they have to think of Philip and gives him time to heal. Shawn figures they aren’t doing any favor to Philip to let him live in fantasyland. Shawn said what if the doctors told Philip his leg would magically grow back. Belle said that’s ridiculous, it’s gone. Shawn said so Philip’s marriage. He asked for the truth and deserves it. Belle tells Shawn he can’t do this. (where are John and Kate?)

BACK TO THE JET…
The plane slows down from it’s departure and Nicole calls Jackson, the pilot. He tells her the tower ordered him back and he will not disobey an FAA order. Chloe rushes to the window and sees Brady at the gate. Brady apparently sees her and starts yelling CHLOE, CHLOE….as the camera freezes on him collaged with Chloe and Nicole in the jet’s window and the previews roll…

Bonnie tells the judge they can’t do that, her daughter’s innocent…as Mimi faints in Mickey’s arms…

Philip tells Shawn to stay…he has some questions about him and his wife…

Marlena drops by the Deveraux garage where Jack’s bbqing..and tells him the longer he keeps this from his family, the harder it’s going to be to tell them…

Max asks Chelsea if she’s sure and she pulls him by the shirt towards her asking if she doesn’t look sure…as they start kissing…

And the credits roll..

Summary: Mimi is sentenced … Philip wants answers from Shawn, despite Kate’s interference…Chelsea and Max are on a fast track for trouble…the Deveraux’s are joined by Alice, Maggie and Marlena for their cookout…Marlena offers Jack advice...Jennifer gets a surprise visitor at her front door.

IN GERMANY…Kate barges into the room demanding that Shawn leave now. He says he is going to tell Philip the truth as she turns to John, asking him to get Shawn out of there…but Shawn says he agrees with Shawn. Kate is dumbfounded, but John says that Philip needs to know the truth sooner or later. He says that Philip is a marine and he is tough…he can handle it. John and Kate go back into the hall as she whines about Shawn hurting her son. John reminds her that they are not children and they can’t protect them forever. He says it will also hurt Philip to learn that his mother and his wife are both lying to him. Kate begs John to support her and help get Shawn away from there. John thinks they need to just stay out of it (atta boy, John!) In the room, Shawn and Belle rehash the same dialogue they have been having for days. Belle wants to hold off telling Philip the truth. Kate begs John to at least get Shawn out of there before Philip returns. They go back in as John caves in to her and offers to take Shawn back to the airport, but he refuses. As they are all arguing, Philip comes rolling in, saying he wants Shawn to stay…he has some questions for him. Kate says this is not the time, but Philip demands to know why he is there…as a friend…or is he after his wife? Shawn talks about getting up the mission to save him and says he did it for Belle because he wanted her back. Kate tells them to leave it alone, but Philip asks Kate and John to leave the room and they do. In the hallway, Kate says if Shawn and Belle break Philip’s heart, she will NEVER forgive them. Shawn talks about while Philip was being held prisoner, Belle was a basket case. THAT is why he wanted to rescue him. He was hoping that he and Belle would have another chance. Philip reminds him that they are married, but Shawn says that they shouldn’t be, because HE loves her and has never stopped. He will NOT apologize for wanting her back.

AT THE COURTHOUSE…Bonnie is complaining about Mimi pleading guilty as Mimi wishes she just weren’t there. She’s just glad that Rex isn’t, as he walks in (right on cue). Bonnie begs him to help change Mimi’s mind and keep her out of prison. Rex says he loves her and he’s not giving up. Judge Fitzpatrick enters with her decision and asks Mimi to rise. She reads off the case and in conclusion says that two lives have been destroyed, the victim’s and hers…and it can’t go unpunished. She is sentenced to 15-20 years in state prison. Bonnie starts screaming as Mimi faints dead away. She wakes up, thinking it was a nightmare, but soon realizes it is all real. Mickey begs the judge to reconsider, but she says it stands and asks Mimi if she has anything to say. She says she never meant to hurt anyone. Mickey and Bonnie tell her that they won’t give up as they take her away. Rex tells her that he will always love her. Later, we see her in her orange jumpsuit, being locked up. The guard tells her she has a visitor…it’s Rex. Bonnie whines to Mickey as he promises to do what he can. Bonnie blames herself for giving Mimi bad advice from the beginning. She thanks Mickey for all his help and asks him to never leave her. The guard yells that Mimi and Rex have 10 minutes as Mimi tells him that this is the last time they will see each other. She turns her back to him and cries.

CHELSEA & MAX…are in the car as she slows him down a bit and he apologizes for moving so fast. Later, she waits in the car as he goes in for the ice cream and she wonders WHAT is wrong with her. He comes back and asks if everything is cool between them and she says yes. As they drive, she asks him how many girlfriends he has had and how serious they were as he laughs it off. She talks about this one guy she likes, but he is older than her (I assume she is talking about Patrick) and thinks of her as a kid. She says she is 18 (I thought they wanted to make her and Abby the same age…guess not). She tells him to keep driving straight and he remembers that road dead-ends at the lake…a spot that used to be called t
