Old timers will remember Tony was married to Liz Chandler. Their marriage ended in divorce when he hoped to marry Renee..whom he really loved, but was told she was Stefano's daughter. Thinking Tony was her brother, Renee married Julie's son David Banning before he learned the truth about his own parentage and that Enrico, not Stefano, was his real father..
Then his marriage to Anna..thereby becoming Carrie's stepfather as well...
Later on he married Kristen, but lost her to John Black (whom years later he found to be his 1/2 brother)
In 2002 he returned to Salem after Stefano's death...and was told he had two genetically engineering teenaged children names Rex and Cassie...
......only to learn they weren't his and Marlena's children, but Roman and Kate's..
Tony was arrested as the serial killer, but Marlena helped get you off due to what Celeste told her about Roman's visit to her... With apparently nothing else to lose, Tony discovered who the real killer was and decided to disclose who the real serial killer was in a spectacular manner...which proved to be a fatal decision...
as the tiger didn't kill you, but the serial killer couldn't risk your telling anyone who she was...and injected something into your IV...
