SUMMARY: Sami’s mad as hell and not going to take it anymore, Shawn and Belle’s non-sex life continue to be a topic for discussion everywhere, and Cassie always seems to come out on top of everything.
HOSPITAL
Sami takes a message from a doctor’s wife and comments out loud that the wife doesn’t have a clue he’s having an affair. Denise, a nurse, responds some people can’t see what’s right in front of them as she points out Brandon with his Lamaz partner. The gal hugs Brandon in appreciation of his helping help as Sami vows that won’t last much longer.
Sami returns later with George Thompson from the Pharmacy. She introduces him to Brandon and “Gwen”. Brandon’s on to what Sami’s up to as alone he tells Sami he’s going to be Gwen’s partner. Sami insists George has had a major crush on Gwen since she’s been coming for her prenatal vitamins. Lexie walks up behind and agrees (for once) with Sami. He asks to see Sami alone on the terrace. Being a jerk, he insists on being Gwen’s birth coach and Sami had better get use to it. They return to find George, Lexie and Gwen chatting and laughing. Gwen thanks Brandon, but George has volunteered to be her lamaz partner, so she won’t need him any more. (this chick doesn’t seem to care who wants to share the most intimate hours of her life with her, does she?) George and Gwen are thrilled that they both love to collect stamps and drink peppermint tea as they head to the cafeteria for some. Lexie is delighted and tells Brandon she won’t be seeing him in class anymore as she strolls off. Sami’s happy with the development as well. Her shift is over and she asks Brandon where they should go for lunch.
BRADY PUB
Shawn drags himself into the pub for breakfast after being up all night. John joins him, asking how everything is. “Everything sucks”, reports Shawn. John tells him about his call from Belle wanting to be “alone” with Shawn. Shawn can’t believe she told him that, but finally tells him nothing happened. They had a fight and she threw him out. Lisa arrives with his breakfast and Shawn asks for it to go. He asks John to hold off his happy dance until he’s gone. The two kibitz about it being a rough couple years and John speculates Belle’s the more mature in the relationship and men have to be patient and not push. Sami (and Brandon) walk by at that moment and Sami takes a pot shot to John about how he “waited” for her mom. Brandon pushes her ahead to their table as Shawn takes his breakfast and leaves. Shawn stares at Ops who rollerblades in and joins John. Ops gives John a report on Tony’s latest moves. John’s confident that Tony’s smooth, but he’ll get him.
John asks Ops what gadgets he has to bypass Tony’s new security system. John figures the twins are the only vulnerable area Tony has and leaves.
Sami comments on John’s strange friends as she watches Ops leave after John did. Brandon tells her to mind her own business (oh yeah, true love here..NOT!) Sami finally asks what Lexie has that she doesn’t? Claiming she’s overreacting, he just wants a rational discussion. She finally tells him she’s not going to put up with him preferring to be with a married woman over her any more and rushes out. Lexie strolls past the pub and sees Sami running off. She walks in and asks Brandon what happened. He admits the problem is his fault and there’s something Sami doesn’t know. Lexie tells him secrets aren’t good and she wants him to be as happy as she is right now.
HARTLEY HOUSE
Belle picks up her room as Mimi arrives, wanting details of Belle’s night with Shawn. A morose Belle reports it to have been the worst night of her life (gee, wonder why?). Mimi reminds Belle she had a crush on Shawn at one time and finds that hard to believe. Belle tells her about his laughing at her days of the week panties and Mimi can’t believe she wore those for such a special occasion…they had talked about this, remember? (LOL, good old Meems) She feels that Shawn would have stopped laughing if Belle had taken them OFF. Belle tells her about the wild party he had out of town with the team and Mimi figures he had sex with some bimbo there then? Mimi admits not having enough experience to counsel Belle about this and Belle agrees, heading home to talk to Mom.
Later, while working on her homework (frustrated), Rex joins Mimi. He was curious if Cassie was there to pick up her stuff (no, she’s sending the servants Rex, remember?). He comments on Mimi’s level headedness and asks her to be Cassie’s friend. Mimi tells him how she and Belle are good friends and Belle gets along with everyone. He pleads with Mimi to be Cassie’s friend that she can confide with as well. It would mean so much to him. Being he put it that way, she agrees, hoping they can be friends as well. Before kissing her, he tells her they are friends already. Shawn knocks softly and opens the door to find them kissing. Making noise to interrupt them, he asks if Belle’s there (well duh, does it look like she is Shawn?). Stating the obvious, Mimi tells him no and tells him how upset Belle was. Upset that Belle told her, he asks to speak to Mimi alone. Rex goes to leave, but Shawn tells him Mimi will probably tell him anyway being she can’t keep her big mouth shut. Saying what she and Rex were doing when he walked in keeps her quiet. Shawn asks if Belle might have picked a fight with him so they wouldn’t have to have sex. Mimi doesn’t think it sounds like Belle, but maybe subconsciously it was? She asks Rex, who tells her he has to go to Shawn for advice on girls (LOL!). Shawn leaves and Mimi asks where they were? Rex said they’ve got a problem. Mimi disagrees. He doesn’t want to do anything that will hurt her and look what happened to Shawn and Belle who are so close. Kissing, Mimi’s not worried about it.
Shawn walks into Belle in the hallway (she just returned from the penthouse below). He wants to talk, but she walks past him and into her room without saying a word.
BLACK PENTHOUSE
Marlena offers Cassie some breakfast. She refuses, feeling like she’s under a microscope. Tony arrives and demands she come home, now. Marlena excuses herself and Tony to talk alone and they go to the hallway to talk. She tells Tony they need to be calm and rational. Smiling, he agrees, as they return. Smiling, for about one minute, he tries to be cordial. Cassie ignores him and he blows. She goes upstairs and Marlena congratulates him on becoming a parent. Belle walks in and slams the door when she sees Tony there. When asked, Marlena tells Belle that Tony’s there to learn about teenagers. Belle runs upstairs, insisting they’ll talk later. Tony hopes Belle will be a good role model for Cassie being she’s so polite. Belle opens her bedroom door and finds Cassie lying on her bed after having made herself at home. She tells Belle what happened the night before as Belle internally fumes. She finally vents about Tony being downstairs and now Cassie in her room. The Dimera’s are everywhere!! Cassie holds Shawn’s picture and tells Belle that if Shawn were HER boyfriend she’d find better things to do then fight, asking if he’s back on the market now? Belle tries to get his picture back, but Cassie tosses it instead and the two start fighting (physically) on the bed and floor.
Downstairs Tony and Marlena hear the girls fighting and rush up to break them up. Tony gets Cassie out of the room and takes her downstairs. Marlena is surprised by Belle’s behavior, but Belle tells her she has to act like that apparently to get any attention from her. Comforting Cassie by assuring her she has a whole mansion at her disposal and his love and devotion, she agrees to go home with him. Marlena comes downstairs and understands her going home with Tony, but lets Cassie know she’s always welcome to come there as well or call. Smiling like a Cheshire cat at Belle while hugging Marlena, Cassie tells her mom they’ll talk every day. After Tony and Cassie have left, Marlena asks Belle what she needs to talk to her about. Frustrated her mom doesn’t know, Belle leaves as John is opening the door. Happy to see her, he says hi to “Tink”. Belle tells him never to call her that again! Walking her back into the room, she lets them know she’s not happy to have found Cassie in her room, on her bed, going through her cd’s and whatever else. John rationalizes about how Cassie got drunk and in trouble the night before. Surprised that Belle knew about Cassie’s behavior, they’re surprised she didn’t look out for her sister. Fuming, (yeah, remember that call she made to you Marlena asking for your help?) Belle tells them to blame all of Cassie’s problems on her, why not and leaves.
Tony and Cassie ride home in the limo talking (sure looks dark outside). She tells him how John and Belle are so close. That’s what she needs from him too. John rescues Belle and makes her feel safe. Tony won’t promise to turn himself into John Black, but she’ll always be loved and protected. If Belle Black’s nose gets pushed out of whack, that’s too damn bad. Cassie laughs at that one.
SAMI’S
Brandon arrives to find his bags packed and the chain guard on the door. Sami’s crying on the couch as he asks her to open up as the PREVIEWS FOR TOMORROW ROLL…
Brandon gives Sami 3 seconds to open up or he’s coming in.
Victor offers Brady a job at Titan…
Nicole (in her bra and panties under an open robe) tells Brady he’s not taking over her company and goes to slap him. Holding her arm and grabbing a good look at her, he asks if she’s jealous.

Episode #9528
Tape date – various
Director – Albert Alarr (new one!)
The pro & amateur sleuths meet to compare notes; Bo gets a new partner, while Jack & Jen get a surprise, and the day Chloe has been getting ready for finally arrives.
THE BRADY PUB
Hope is teasing Bo about last night’s undercover visit to the “den of iniquity”. They talk of the DA being literally in bed with someone (Maria) who has ties to the drug underworld, and how close Vin’s house is to the campus. Jack & Jen come in, and now B&H hear about Jack being assaulted. Bo explains how the gal he was with at Echelon (Natasha) thought he asked too many questions, so they all agree it is not just Maria with something to hide. Outside, Nicole is looking in the window, with Nico watching her every move. Kate and Roman arrive…..Kate & NiK spar a bit, and they go inside. As they stop to say hi to the foursome, Bo changes the conversation, Roman feels the coolness and they go to their own table. Hope & Jen go for the coffee, as Jack notes to Bo that Roman does not know Bo is working with them. Bo says Roman doesn’t even know HE is working on this. Hope & Jen chatter about working with their man all day, and being together then all night, too, as Hope misses working with Bo. (we miss you working with him, too). Vern calls Jack, telling him to get over to television hill (?), WDIL as gifts are arriving. Jack & Jen are puzzled, but leave.
Roman joins Kate with their takeout order, deciding not to stay since Bo does not seem to want them there. Kate thought their fences had been mended, but leaves with Roman. Nicole stops Bo, wanting to talk about his father. As she begins to tell him of overhearing Vic talking to the underworld, Victor walks in, and in his usual menacing tone, mentions that Bo already knows all about him contacting his former associates, etc., and apologizes to Bo for not turning up anything. Bo realizes something is not right between these two, but stays out of it. Hope comes up, Vic asks about Zack, who is upstairs playing Candyland with Grampa Shawn, and goes off with Hope. Bo tells Nik that he and his father go about their lives in different ways, have an understanding about it, and don’t try to get him into their problems. Victor returns, Bo pulls him aside to ask him to dig up what he can on Carson Palmer. Vic agrees, Bo leaves and Victor now threatens Nicole again. He warns her about trying to thwart him, that she will never best him - she tells him nothing lasts forever, and he retorts that is right….a fresh hell is awaiting her.
COP SHOP
Bo & Hope come in, chatting about work, when Abe angrily opens his door, ordering Dectective Brady in there, NOW!. Abe proceeds to rake Bo over the coals for tampering with the lock on his file cabinet, and working on the case after being specifically taken off. Outside Roman & Kate arrive, hearing Abe yelling, and Roman goes to soothe some ruffled feathers. He goes in, and gives a pep talk in Bo’s defense. They all talk of rebel Bo, who may bend the rules, but not break them, how those arrested are walking, etc. He calms Abe down, finally offering to partner with Bo, and be responsible for him. Abe agrees and Bo says first order of business is to stake out the drug house. Outside, Kate doen’s understand how, if Roman is a captain, he would still be out in the trenches (and if you find out, let us know, Kate) Hope tells Kate she knows how she feels about Roman, so why hasn’t she told him. Kate replies she was hoping he would say it first, but hasn’t..
TV STUDIO
Jack & Jen arrive rather hesitantly, to be greeted by Vern, are astonished to see Oliver Wentworth & Harold, too. Oliver compliments them both on what they have done with the Spectator in just a few months, best decision he ever made. He thanks Jen for having him meet her dad, talking of how much he enjoyed his safari in Africa, that Bill Horton never has time for a safari, and that is too bad. But that Bill had a terrific idea, and Oliver is happy to be able to help with it. He starts babbling about a Jack & Jennifer show, or a Jennifer and Jack show, however they want to call it, a talk show, (Harold is grinning like a monkey, lol). J&J are shocked, and cannot possibly consider it, the Spectator is their baby. Vern encourages Jack, mentioning Tom Brokaw (lol). Oliver brings over his station manager, Ricardo Diaz, who proceeds to really schmooz the couple (love all these scenes), as Harold says they will be Salem’s answer to Regis & Kelly, LOLOL Jen says she already had a failed talk show with Austin Reed, he tells her there was NO chemistry there, that she & Jack are ex’s , soon to be wed. Jen says yes, they have a wedding to plan, Diaz says lots of assistants to help. Jen wonders what kind of gift is coming to her from Bill, since this is a gfit for Jack. Oliver assures them that every consideration will be made to accommodate them, while Diaz reminds them they have a message to telll, and it will be reality TV….the latest happening thing. Vern brings out Director’s chairs with their names on it. Jack & Jen are still in a state of shock, trying to absorb it all, as Jen asks Jack if he thinks they could possibly do this.
SALEM HOSPITAL
Chloe wakes up, Brady at her side. She looks tired, wan, weak. A knock at the window is Craig, calling Brady out to the hall. Brady joins Craig, worried about Chloe, who seems to have lost her “fighting” spirit. Craig explains that all is well, and as it should be. She is disease free, the leukemia is gone, and all is ready. Later, Dr. Herman comes out of Chloe’s room, assuring Craig, Nancy and Brady that everything is fine. They all go in to see her. Chloe is worried, but Craig reassures her, and tells her what to expect. They begin to leave, but she wants to talk to her mom. She first asks about Joy, but then confides how scared she is. Nancy comforts her, and later, out in the hall, she is crying as she tells Craig to go talk to Chloe. Brady hugs Nancy, as Craig goes in to see Chloe. They have a very emotional talk (advising having a tissue or two handy here), as Chloe thanks him for everything, asking if anything goes wrong to never tell Joy, as she would not want her to feel she had any part in anything not going right. She wants to see Joy grow up. Craig leaves, Brady comes in. He says it will be the last time he can touch her for a long time, and they both say how they love each other. Dr. Hermann and a nurse come in. It is time. Out in the hall, Nancy brings Joy, has Brady hold her, as Craig looks on, and Chloe watches thru the window.

EPISODE # 9528
Tape date – Various
Director – Mic Balin ( new director!)
A not to be missed show! Chalk one up for the Three Musketeers, as Jack is amazed at the plan cooked by Bo, Hope & Jen, while Tony rereads Stefano’s diary hoping to find some answers, and Brandon’s flashback clues us into the reasons for his recent behavior.
DIMANSION
Tony paces back & forth in the billiard room, muttering to himself, still upset over Cassie’s behavior last night. Pouring himself a cognac, he sits down, reading what appears to be Stefano’s diary. He shakes his head every once in a while, and as he reads, we see, on the right side of the screen, a jumbled montage of various bequests given out at the reading of Stefano’s will. He nods as we see Grampa Shawn receiving the boat with the doll child on it, John holding the chess set with the missing queen, Marlena with the Gemini pillow on her lap (remember when it pricked her finger…wonder if that accounts for her personality change?) coupled with Kate & the jar of kippers, & Celeste’s paper dolls. Tony closes his eyes and evidently falls asleep, (Hey. John, good time to sneak in again with another bug!) as we see Tony dreaming (the images sort of swirl in black & white) of Grampa Shawn standing with one arm around John, and both have arms outstretched to Tony; then Kate is sitting with a man (his back to camera, but phoenix ring on his finger) and ordering kippers from a veddy British waiter, while Celeste is singing Rock a Bye Baby to the paper dolls, and a blindfolded Hope tries to find her way out of a maze. As the replica of the mansion comes into view, Tony awakens, startled by the sound of a loud crash. He yells for Eliana, and goes to the door of the study, where a horrified Eliana is looking down at the carpet, and Bart, seeing his boss, is babbling something about Stefano always having been rather slippery (rotfl). It seems Eliana was cleaning the top of the mantel, and helpful Bart lifted “THE URN” to help her, dropped it…..and ashes, ashes everywhere. (Sorry, folks, I am laughing so hard at Bart, just the ‘idea’ of the situation!) Well, as the Raven says in that poem…Nevermore.! Sayanora, Stefano! So long, it’s been good to know ya.
THE HOSPITAL
Lexie is chatting with Dr. Bader as they leave her office, and asks when she will be getting the results of her latest lab tests. Dr. Bader assures her that she will call her as soon as they come back from the East Side Lab. Brandon is chatting with Eugenia, but looks startled when he overhears their conversation. As they walk away, he stares at the door to the hospital lab and then flashes back to himself, alone in the hospital lab, looking thru the samples to be tested, taking one marked Abraham Carver, replacing it with another sample he brought in with him, also labeled Abraham Carver, then hurrying out (Well now…. That explains his weird behavior of late Knew he had something he was hiding). Back in the present, Brandon abruptly leaves Eugenia, follows Lexie, asking how her dr. visit went. Lexie is visibly angry, as she says she is fine, and warns Brandon that if he does not stop harassing her she will get a restraining order. He wonders why she is getting further lab tests, but Lexie says all is well, and she is just confirming it via an independent lab, being Salem’s lab hasn’t been exactly 100% reliable in the past. (Good one, Lexie!) but that it really is none of his business. She spots Sami talking to an intern, and tells Brandon he would be wise to keep his eyes on his roommate, or he may find himself living alone again. She walks away, as Brandon glances towards Sami, who takes her cue and joins him. Sami’s hug is rebuffed and Brandon claims to have a patient to see, as he takes off. You can practically see the smoke rising, as Sami smolders. Eugenia (who saw it all) tells her (with a smirk), Gee, Sami, if that upset you, just wait til you see how he treats you after he learns how you changed those lab results.
TUSCANY
Jack arrives, ready to compare notes with Bo, only to be greeted by a smiling Maggie, who is joined by Bo, who is grinning from ear to ear. Bo hands him a note from Jen. Jack opens it and Jennifer tells him she just could not wait another day to be his wife and to meet her at the altar in 30 minutes. Bo grabs a puzzled Jack by the arm, taking him into the men’s room. Tuscany is all decked out, with pink roses everywhere, a white, arched trellis at one end of the room, with white roses entwined throughout. It looks beautiful. Ah, the plot unfolds. (LOL, you are truly gonna love this) On the far side of the room are white linen covered tables, each with centerpieces of pink roses. Rows of chairs line the aisle to the archway and are decorated with more roses and bows. As soft music plays, the camera leads us to inside the doorway, where a picture of Jack & Jennifer sits on a stand, with beautifully scripted text saying “Welcome to the wedding of Jennifer Horton and Jack Deveraux”.
Maggie, Hope, Abby, Alice & Julie are bustling to and fro with last minute touches, as Jennifer thanks them for all their help. (So THIS is what all the missing women have been up to!) Jen is the happiest we have seen her in ages. Once she realized she & Jack belong together, she didn’t want to wait another day to make it happen. She knew if anyone in the world could pull off such a beautiful wedding on such short notice, it would be these special women. (ain’t that the truth?) Maggie assures her that everything at Tuscany, including the flowers and food is ready, and it’s a wedding gift from her & Mickey. Julie pops up that she got a fantastic seamstress she works with to finish the alterations on the gowns, and they are waiting in the other room. Hope smiles as she says that Bo took care of the tuxes, and then Alice, bless her heart, hands Jen a jewelry box. Jen just stares as Alice urges her to open it. She does to find a beautiful pearl necklace, a family heirloom. Both have tears in their eyes as Hope helps her put it on, and Jen hugs her grandmother. Maggie shoos them back to get ready as we hear sounds of guests arriving. The best kept secret in years is about to take place. (Warning - if you are not taping, BIG mistake!)
Later we find the Hortons, Bradys, Blacks, Williams, Vern & Jo, Harold, Kate, Lucas, even Victor & Nicole have all arrived. Bo & Jack come out, looking so handsome in their tuxedos. (love the expression on Jack’s face as he looks around with no clue). Jack immediately begins the what, huh, how….(typical reporter, ha, ha). Bo chuckles as he leads Jack to the archway, the music begins, and Abby (oh, she looks soooooo adorable!) walks up the aisle strewing rose petals from the basket she is carrying. Jack is practically bursting his buttons here. Hope, looking so gorgeous in pink, follows Abby. Next comes the beautiful, radiant bride (love her gown!) on the arm of Uncle Mickey. (O.K. folks, get out the tissues ) As Jennifer takes Jack’s hand in hers, she whispers, “You told me to take care of it all…..I did”. With their family and friends all around them, Jack & Jen are married once more. They kiss, and Mr. & Mrs. Deveraux turn…..to a sea of smiling faces. But the happiest seems to be Abby, who cannot contain herself. The reception follows, and we have quick camera flashes of the cake cutting (yep, both wear cake on their faces), bouquet throwing (Abby catches it, lol) and Bo raising a toast to the newlyweds. Jack is still dumbstruck at his good fortune, but Hope tells him, it is not over yet. The music begins, as Jack & Jennifer dance (I swear it is Michael Buble singing – to the song “The Way You Look Tonight”). Everyone is laughing, and hugging, as Jack and Jen leave amidst a shower of rose petals (that is just toooo cool) to a waiting limo, ready to whisk them off on their honeymoon. Jack & Jen get in, and as they are kissing, the limo driver adjusts his cap, pulling it further down on his face. He looks into the rear view mirror, with a satisfied smile…and we see…he is wearing a patch! (OMG, be still my heart!!!) Bo & Hope, on the sidewalk, congratulate each other on pulling off this surprise, as the limo pulls away, with the usual attached tin cans rattling and, naturally, the big white sign on the back, which says .APRIL FOOL from the Early Edition!

Show # 9527
Tape Date: Various
Director: Phil Sogard
Summary: Tony’s disappointed in Cassie, Bo goes undercover, Belle finds out about Tarzan and Jack’s ejection from the club turned out to be better than he thought.
HARTLEY HOUSE
Belle and Shawn are getting a little hot and heavy as he observes the day of the week panties she’s wearing are the wrong day of the week. She informs him that it’s after midnite and she changed them, so it’s correct. He can’t stop laughing at it (as would I) at her about it, which doesn’t sit well with her. She takes her days of the week panties seriously and thought it sexy. He apologizes, saying it was nervous laughter. Asking why she’s getting hostile, she erupts, but explains she’s nervous too and was hurt. He asks if she irons her panties too. Big mistake as she rattles on about her “neat tendencies”. What would he think of her if she didn’t iron her clothes and wore Monday’s panties on Saturday (heaven forbid!!!). He likes the idea she’s a perfectionist and realizes they’re both nervous and may be why she’s getting upset over nothing. He just wants to make her happy and asks they start over. She agrees and they start kissing again. Taking a breather she apologizes for overreacting earlier and each confesses to how much they loved each other. He admits not being able to think about her in his hotel room while away as people were coming and going. (have you heard the phrase think before speaking Shawn?) He explains his roommate threw the party, not him. She wants a full accounting as to who was there and what was going on. Furious there were girls in his room all night (even though he says he didn’t do anything), she opens her door and throws him out. He can’t believe she’s blowing this out of proportion and tries to justify his innocence. She tosses his clothes out the door and a tall brunette (Amy) walks by and recognizes Shawn from the party in his hotel room. She goes to State, but was visiting his teammate (everyone’s sure wide awake for after midnight!) and thanks him again for the good time she had at his party. She reminds “Tarzan” that he didn’t have such a bad time himself. Amy enjoys telling Belle the story about what happened at 4 a.m. when Shawn dove off the roof wearing only his shorts into the swimming pool. He lost his shorts in the pool and couldn’t find them, so someone handed him one of those small bar towels. Wearing it like a loin cloth, the others called him Tarzan. She asks him to do his Tarzan call and embarrassed, he refuses. Amy does it for him as Belle’s case builds without saying a word. Later we join them and Amy’s gone as Shawn tries to explain that was his way of getting everyone out of their room. Belle doesn’t buy it and figures he’s bored with her and her day of the week panties. She throws him out.
THE STAKEOUT
Maria is really coming on to Bo, asking if he wants to have a good time. He admits he does, but says a chemically induced one. She refuses to help him until he flashes some money. Telling him to stay put, she slips out of the car and knocks on a door nearby. Bo follows her and after a guy (looks like Carson Palmer’s brother to me, haha) answers the door and tells her she’s late, Bo walks up sniffing a lot, anxious to party. The guy doesn’t trust Bo, takes Maria inside and shuts the door in Bo’s face.
CLUB ECHELON
Cassie calls John because she was arrested. Sitting on Abe’s desk swinging her legs, she tells him that Commander Carver (why is HE there after midnite?) did her a favor (because of her mom) and let her call one of her parents. He reminds her that’s not him, but she figures he’s her stepfather and close enough. He agrees to come and bids Tony farewell. He doesn’t see Jack sprawled on the lawn out front as he heads off.
Jack comes to staring into the cleavage of one of the club’s bimbos. He wonders if he died and went to heaven as the bimbo pulls his face into her cleavage. Jen walks up nearby and tells him, no, he isn’t dead YET! Jen LOL. Jen tells “Natasha” to keep her hands off Jack..he’s her ex-husband and fiancée. Natasha isn’t phased, but strolls off telling Jack to ask for her if he wants a real woman. Jack wants to explain, but Jen knows what’s really going on with him and Natasha. He explains about getting thrown out and punched cold and had just come to when she arrived, holding his sore jaw. He has to wait to see how Bo does with Maria before leaving. She decides to wait with him being Abby’s spending the night at Vern and Jo’s. Jen’s concerned and wants Jack to leave, but he refuses. The two of them walk into the club and Bo joins them. He tells J&J what happened and the address. They tell Bo how Maria was calling the shots at The Blue Note. If they can connect the guy with Carson Palmer, they can pull him down. Bo agrees to catch up with them later to talk and heads back into the club. Jack assures Jen he’s so damn lucky to be with her and will never resort to a club like that.
Bo strolls over to Natasha and she’s happy he chose her. He says his name is Norman. A bottle of champagne is delivered and he’s charged $200 (little sticker shock Bo?) Sipping his champagne, he asks what’s it like working there and about a girl named Maria. Bo starts talking with a lisp and after the bottle of champagne’s gone, Natasha admits Maria’s a piece of work, but gets away with the way she talks to customers. Not liking all the questions, she insists he leave her alone or risk getting thrown out or punched in his pretty face. Bo leaves in a huff, upset he didn’t find out more.
COP SHOP
As John strolls into the detective area, a female officer calls and tells someone about his arrival and to get over there. John walks in and asks Abe what Cassie did, leaving the office door open. Abe tells him that she and some other Salem U kids were loitering around Salem Place drunk and disorderly. A beat cop found them and brought them in. Cassie hadn’t really been charged yet. Carson Palmer walks in (after midnight and in his suit that quickly? He must live in his office) just in time to hear Abe admit Cassie hadn’t been charged. Claiming Abe’s still doing favors for the Brady’s, John corrects him he’s not a Brady. Carson knows he’s an honorary Brady and just as bad. The two flex their power muscles at each other as John threatens Palmer to make his life miserable if he fights him over a small matter such as this one. Carson’s cell rings and he steps out to take the call as Cassie thanks John, knowing he does care about her. John reminds her underage drinking is a crime and it’s not worth doing it again. Thankful he’s not going to lecture her more, she hugs him as he offers to take her home. Tony walks into the office wanting to know what’s going on. He explains that being John’s got him under surveillance, he’d return the favor. Abe tells Tony that Cassie asked to call John and offers John a cup of coffee in the outer office. After they leave Tony yells at Cassie for what she did as well as dragging their family name through the mud. He tells her to go back to the dorm to sleep it off. She tells him about being thrown out of there because of getting caught drinking a beer as he yells again. John tells Tony she’s just a kid and these things happen. Tony goes to take Cassie home, but she refuses and asks John to take her home so she can be with her mother. Abe tells John to take Cassie home and when Tony rants about it, Abe tells him it’s his decision and if he wants to complain about it, do it to him, not John. Alone in Abe’s office, Tony fumes internally.
CLUB DEVERAUX
J&J return home. She stops him from calling Bo and he stops her from calling Vern to check on Abby. The two sink on the couch as she offers him all the luxuries of Club Echelon in his very own home. He wants a life partner with a big heart and doesn’t care about those other type of women. She opens his shirt and he accepts her back rub offer. Kissing his neck and shoulders, he tells her to forget the back rub and they move on to more.

Show # 9526; Tape Date: 3/10/03; Director: Randy Robbins
Summary: Cassie moves out and ends up in trouble (again)…Chloe has visitors at the hospital…and most of Salem’s men (John, Jack, Bo, Lucas and Tony) end up at Club Echelon.
Hartley House…
Belle primps as Cassie is busy angrily slinging her stuff on the bed (she has been kicked out of Hartley House). Shawn arrives to hear Belle lecturing Cassie and her telling Belle to just shut up. Cassie talks about calling Tony to help her out of it, as Belle suggest she call Mom…infuriating Cassie. Cassie starts about how all this is unfair, etc. She asks Shawn to go down and help her with her suitcases and they leave. While they are gone, Belle calls her dad (see below). When they return and Belle happily offers to help her pack. They continue to spar and bicker as Shawn just stands back and watches. Later, she is all packed as Chaz arrives to take her to the party (she is going to have the servants pick up her things later). Belle lights into Chaz about Cassie getting drunk as Cassie starts kissing on him. Chaz invites Belle and Shawn to the party, but they flatly refuse…and don’t want Cassie going either, but she doesn’t listen. After they leave, Belle continues to worry about her, saying they should have stopped her. Shawn suggests she forget about Cassie. She asks Shawn to leave for 10 minutes so she can get things ready for their evening. He waits in the hall until she calls for him (LOL as he practically RUNS into the room when she calls him). She is in the bed in the dark room with candles all around. He joins her and they start kissing. He asks her if she is SURE…she says “I love you…make love to me.”
At the Hospital…
Brady is keeping vigil by Chloe’s bed as she sleeps. She is having a nightmare where she can hear Joy crying and is running around looking for her. She wakes up, telling him that something is wrong with Joy and she has to find her. She urges Brady to check and make sure all is okay so he leaves. He returns later with Nancy and Joy for a visit. The nurse takes Joy to the nursery (as Brady slips off as well) giving Chloe and Nancy some alone time. Later, they have pictures all over the bed as Nancy tells her funny stories about the new father. She especially likes the stories about how he has the nursery set up like an operating room and how he even wears a surgical mask to change her diapers. Later, Brady returns from the penthouse (see below) and joins them. They try to convince Chloe that all will go well with her transplant and she will be well soon and they rally around her.
At the Penthouse…
John settles down with a beer to watch the hockey game (Blackhawks and Detroit, he says) when the doorbell rings. It’s Bo, talking about the gang crime wave in Salem and of his suspicions of Carson Palmer. He wants John’s help investigating him. John tries to play dumb, but Bo tells him he KNOWS he is ISA. He assures him that he and Roman are the only ones who know and the secret is safe. John finally agrees to run a check on Palmer. Belle calls around this time, telling him she is worried about Cassie. She finally tells him not to worry, she can handle it and says something about her being gone as she and Shawn will be alone. John invites them over, but soon picks up on what Belle has planned for the evening. She says she refuses to have this conversation with him and prattles on and on, just digging her hole deeper. She says she refuses to discuss her sex life with him (“NOT like I have one”, she says…LOL) as John gets very quiet. She thinks he hung up, but he finally offers her some advice…be safe and be SURE about it…and NOT to rush into anything. She assures him that she will think it over first and will be sure. John tells his Isabella that he loves her and she thanks him.
After his call, John rejoins Bo and jokingly tells him that he loves Shawn, but if he hurts his little girl, he will kill him. Bo assures him that they are good kids and they shouldn’t interfere. Brady shows up as well as John invites him to stay and watch the game and they will order Chinese and Brady accepts. (Exactly WHERE is Marlena anyway???) As they eat, Bo gets a frantic call from Jack, asking him to come down to Club Echelon.
Club Echelon
Tony arrives at the club, saying it’s his first time. Lucas is there as well, telling Tony that it is the best bar in Salem. Lucas’ tongue is practically hanging out of his mouth as he ogles the ladies. He orders a double vodka (saying that the club soda sucks) but Tony takes it away from him. Jack arrives as well and spots Maria. He calls Jennifer and gives her updates. Lucas begins to question Tony and we get the idea that Tony is the new owner of the club (which he eventually confesses to). Lucas spots a girl (Natasha) and says her “cups runneth over” (LOL) and heads her way. Jack joins Maria and immediately begins questioning her about Carson Palmer. But she recognizes him from the Blue Note and she calls for security and has him thrown out. Some guy interrupts Lucas and Natasha and they get into it (as Tony and the bouncer watch). Lucas finally gets the best of him and the bouncer comes over and tosses that guy out as well. Bo finds Jack hiding in the bushes and offers to go inside and talk to Maria, but Jack warns that she will recognize him as well. John shows up as well and HE volunteers to go inside. Maria goes to leave, so Bo follows her, leaving Jack outside alone. The bouncer comes out and spots him and tries to run him off. Jack is prattling something about mixing him up with his “twin brother” as the bouncer says “say goodnight Gracie” and pops Jack right in the mouth and he collapses to the ground. Inside, John encounters Tony as both inquire why each other is there. Natasha was so impressed with Lucas that they head to a private room (hehe). Tony barks orders at one girl as John asks why they are so obedient to him. John gets a phone call from Cassie asking for his help…she has been arrested and she didn’t want to call Marlena or Tony. (Well, that sure didn’t take long, LOL). Bo is in his car as Maria walks over, telling him her car wouldn’t start and asks if she can wait with him for the tow truck. She gets in the car, saying she is cold. He asks if she wants him to turn up the heat. She starts coming on to him and asks “is this working for you?”…as it fades to black.
ON THE NEXT DAYS OF OUR LIVES…
Jack comes to, seeing a pair of breasts and asks “Have I died and gone to Heaven?”…
Belle and Shawn argue as she tosses him out of her room…
At the cop shop, John tells Tony that Cassie had a couple of drinks. Tony tells him it is none of his damned business and tells Cassie let’s go. She says “No, I don’t want to go with you.”…
And the credits roll…

Episode #9534
Tape date – 3/187/03
Director –Albert Alarr
Love is Blind's first show is taped, Marlena admits knowing about John's ISA involvement, Rex continues work on his mystery device
SALEM U HOSPITAL
Lucas pulls Sami from her receptionist job to make copies of material for his board meeting. She tries to refuse, but Brenda has no problem covering for her as she’s use to covering for Sami’s two hour coffee breaks (LOL). He wants 5 copies collated before the meeting starts, 3 hole punched and in covers. Sami is ticked as Brenda tells her the main copier has been having problems and she’ll have to check everything. Sami vents to Brandon who subtly tells her his department is hoping to get a chunk of money from the board today and to be nice to Lucas today. She agrees, but Lucas was lurking and suggests she listen to Brandon. Knowing it’s her boyfriend who’s running that department he wants some cooperation from Sami. She won’t kiss his butt, but he tells her she might have to. Later Lucas is in the boardroom and explains Mrs. Horton and Mickey Horton won’t be able to attend (uh oh). Sami arrives with the coffee tray and Lucas offers coffee to the rest of the board and orders Sami to deliver it. He warns her what might happen to Brandon’s money if she doesn’t go along. Sami argues, but goes along and pours their coffee (real mugs even, ooh la la) Not acting very chairman like, he taunts her by asking for individual lumps of sugar and then cream. He intentionally bumps her and makes her spill the cream, then yells at her for it. As she bends over (giving everyone a show with her low cut dress) she tries to control her anger. He has her clean the table and asks for a muffin, saying she can call it a day after getting it. She brings the muffins over and leaves afterward.
One boardmember commends Lucas’ email from the day before allocating a lot of the money for the pediatric counseling department. He explains his decision as Sami fumes from the doorway. She stomps over and asks him if he’s been playing her all along, which is agrees to. Later we see her steamrolling across the corridor as Brandon and Brenda watch confused. Lucas admits enjoying watching her squirm as Sami promises retaliation! She tells Brandon what Lucas did and Lucas shows Brandon how much he allocated to his department. Brandon’s excited about it, Lucas walks off and Sami is about to combust from embarrassment (time for a new job Ms. Sami…maybe John will hire you being Brady’s leaving?) Brandon walks off, not getting why delivering coffee and making coffees was such a big deal.
DR EVANS
Marlena greets her new patient, Mr. Smith (OPS). John arrives and agrees to wait until Marlena’s done with her new patient. He spots the backpack on the chair in the waiting room (wouldn’t most people take it with them?) OPS lies on the couch, calling her doc, complaining about not being able to sleep because of his job. He figures being he’s top dog at work and people at work (their his dogs) make mistakes and blame them on him. He wants them to do well so he can sleep. Marlena’s not clear what he does for a living and before he answers, John opens the door and says he doesn’t want to answer that. Marlena apologizes to her patient, who calmly answers he’s in the tech business as he and John exchange looks. Marlena asks if they know each other. Connie interrupts with an urgent phone call from one of Marlena’s patients and after her patient (OPS) confirms he’ll be okay, she excuses herself to take it. Ops explains Shane wanted him to find out if Marlena is aware that John’s ISA. Ops disagrees as John tells him she doesn’t, but Marlena walks back in (short call) and tells him he’s right…she knows everything. Ops doesn’t think this is good news and John explains he didn’t want her involved. She won’t expose his operation, but asks if he’s after Tony, not happy to learn that’s a fact. Alone with Marlena, he figures Tony’s taken over the family business and asks if that’s going to bother her that he’s investigating the father of her children. She tells him she’ll deal with it if/when the time comes. Later John talked to his ISA contact and assured him there won’t be a breach of security. He tells her he’s only doing it to protect her and their family. Asking for a kiss from her favorite spy and makes light of the situation saying the safety of the free world depends on it. She smiles a little and agrees to do it for her country (LOL).
DIMANSION
Shawn arrives to see Rex (Eliana’s going to be kept busy with teens in the house) and heads up the stairs to see him. Rex hides a box under his bed before letting Shawn in. He’s returning a book Rex left in the dorm. Shawn admits he needed to talk with someone about Belle. Sitting on the bed to kick the box further under, Rex tells Shawn to not waste any time in getting back with Belle and how she and Cassie are going to be contestants on that new show, Love is Blind. Shawn rushes out and Rex opens the box to find circuit boards galore in it. Eliana knocks offering breakfast. He refuses but asks she announce any guests from now on. She apologizes and agrees. He pulls out a cabinet and starts working on it. Later we see him check out the digital counter on the box (which only has a key and a toggle switch on it) and carefully puts it in his backpack.
TV STUDIO…AKA DOT COM
The 3 female teens are getting dolled up as Ms. Ortiz gives them the thumbs up to be outrageous. She also reminds them that looks won’t help as everyone will be blindfolded. Mimi continues to referee between Belle and Cassie. (Belle doesn’t seem too torn up about breaking up with Shawn). Cassie reads the headlines about Chaz being arrested and what went down. Miss Ortiz brings in Randy the director. He’s hoping their personalities are as different as their outfits. (Belle is wearing a scooped neck yellow dress, Mimi a blue jean jacket and long red skirt, Cassie in short, short jeans (did I mention they’re SHORT?) and a shaggy 20’s style top. They’re seated at a tall table at dotCom (uh oh, Cassie’s in the middle). As the director clues them in as to what’s going to happen (dotCom is closed for this show), Shawn walks in. Belle forfeits if he’s their mystery date. The director orders him out, but Miss Ortiz figures Shawn would be good for reaction shots, so they let him stay. He talks to Belle privately, saying he doesn’t want to date anyone else and he loves her. He knows she’s still mad at him, but doesn’t want her involved with this stupid show and getting hurt. Figuring he thinks she’ll lose, she takes the challenge and returns to the table as the show is started. Gabby introduces the 3 as Mimi Lockhart who wants someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously, Cassie DiMera who wants a guy not afraid to get down and dirty and Belle Black who wants a guy to be her best friend. They walk in a masked guy wearing a hat and scarf over his nose and mouth. The 3 girls all insist they’re going to win.
Later we join them (not seeing the show) as the guy (with voice disguised) gives all 3 contestants good critiques matching their personality from what he gathered. The show’s over and the 3 gals are exhausted from their efforts. The 3 gals surround the mystery hunk and get publicity shots as Shawn watches from behind. Gabby explains the 1st gal that loses will be in their van outside watching on a monitor and making comments during the next show. The more brutal comments, the better. The photographer takes photos of just the gals as Mimi has to fight for space between Belle and Cassie. Gabby has the cameraman tape Belle and Cassie’s bickering (if we have to endure it, so should Salem, ha!) and they’re unaware of it being done. (I hope Mimi wins!) Shawn pulls Belle out of the argument and she tells him to stay out of her life. Cassie tells him breaking up with that dwarf idiot was the best thing he ever did. He sits and remembers when Belle broke up with him. Another girl (Jordan) shows up saying she was a stand by in case one of the girls didn’t show. She offers to buy him a cup of coffee and he agrees. Belle and Mimi walk back in and Belle watches Shawn get a cup of coffee with Jordan. She tells Mimi she doesn’t want to be famous, she just wants to be with Shawn. She can’t figure out why she keeps pushing him away….as the previews for tomorrow roll…
Kate and Tony are in the back of his limo as she stretches. Tony asks if that wasn’t a great way to relieve tension (???) and suggests they do it again…
Hope runs to Bo at the cop shop, saying she knows where Ben Ramsel is..
Abe says the fireworks haven’t even started yet…
Jennifer opens the door (shorter hair style or just curly?) as the tv show crew walks in saying they’re burning daylight and Jack asks if they’re going live …today???

Episode #9533
Tape date – 3/17/03
Director – Roger Inman
More action in the dark alley and the twins return home with their own agendas (Tony's got his hands full!)
HOME SWEET HOME
Tony returns home and is happy to find both twins moving back in. Rex accidentally tips one of his boxes and Tony questions if he’s setting up a laboratory in his bedroom. Rex shows Tony and Cassie a centrifuge, both clueless as to what it’s for and says he’s moving home to be with his family. He asks Tony for more money for his research. Tony agrees, but asks what the research is for. Not wanting to bore Tony, he promises to tell him when he’s made more progress. Cassie moves another box too roughly and Rex jumps, not wanting it broken. Curious, Tony asks what it is. Rex explains it’s some lab glassware he borrowed (?) from the school and didn’t want it broken. Tony offers to supply whatever he needs. Tony asks Cassie what’s new with her and she tells him about her new extra curricular activity. She was chosen to be a contestant on a reality tv show and is sure she’s going to win. Tony tells her he can’t let her be on a show like that. Her bubble’s broken. She insists she’s going to but he demands she won’t lose her dignity on one of those shows! Pulling the “I’m old enough to if I want to” lines on him, he rebuffs saying he can yank her $$ from her. His poor spoiled princess promises to hate him forever if he stops her and heads off to help Rex. Alone she vents at Rex for not supporting her with Tony. He’s got his own problems to think about and asks if she’s still going to do the show. She changes the subject to his special project and he tells her to be quiet. The two bicker as she wants Rex’s help so she can be on the tv show. He tells her once she’s on tv she’ll be famous and recognized everywhere and Tony will find out. Excited about becoming a celebrity, Cassie squeals in excitement figuring the world will love her. They can’t believe how different they are from each other. She heads up to try on outfits as he talks into a microphone testing something. Cassie walks in wearing the outfit Barb described yesterday that Rex describes her as looking like a “hoochie mama” in, LOL. She takes off to try on another outfit as he records his plan to break into the scientific community.
BLUE NOTE
Kate has a drink while chatting with a bartender about telling someone she loves him and not getting a response back. He asks to turn up the radio behind the bar (LOL, heard her story too many times before apparently) and an announcement about the drug bust on Elm Avenue and a police officer being hit is aired. Kate’s worried it’s Roman.
DARK ALLEY
Hope calls out for Jen in a darkened alley. Looking in the back seat of one car, she sees Jen’s coat with blood on it. Jen joins her, explaining she just cut her arm and is okay. She gets her coat and they hear Maria coming outside, so they duck behind some tires. Maria and a man step outside. She opens the trunk to find Jen missing and sees Jen’s coat in the backseat and orders the thug to find her. Hope and Jen make a noise where they’re hiding as the thug looks over. They decide to stand up and the thug holds Hope with a gun to her head while Maria (holding a tire iron) demands blondie lie on the ground. Jen asks what they’re going to do to them and Maria says kill them.
CARSON PALMER’S OFFICE
Jack ducks as he hears Carson returning to his shredder. Jack hides as Palmer shreds a few more papers (literally) until the shredder gets jammed. Apparently that’s a clue to stop as he goes to his office and shuts the door. Jack lunges for the shredder and rips off the papers not shredded and dashes into the hall. Seconds later Palmer exits the office and Jack, remembering something happened to Jennifer, grabs Palmer by the lapels and asks what he did with Jennifer. Palmer denies knowing anything and tells Jack to stay out of his face or he’ll charge him with harassment and make it stick. He stalks off and Jack listens to his voice mail…Jen’s message saying Maria kidnapped her and where she is from yesterday.
COP SHOP
Roman single handedly walks in Chaz in his handcuffs. The other cops all congratulate Roman while letting Chaz know their opinion of him. Abe tells Roman that Bo’s tailing the dealer. Abe and Roman interrogate poor innocent Chaz who claims to just be a college student. He was only over to that house the other night for a party and just returned for his sweater (that he couldn’t remember what color it was). Roman gets irate as Abe watches. Abe plays the nice cop as he asks Chaz to open up, but bad cop Roman loses it demanding Chaz tell them the truth until Abe pulls him off. They take Chaz down for booking.
Roman finds someone taped the word ROMANCE over Roman on his desk nameplate. A couple plain clothed cops (why aren’t they out they backing up Bo?) tease him about Kate’s I LOVE YOU over the police radio. Roman says it was all a joke and his brother probably put her up to it. Kate had just arrived in the hall outside the detective’s room and overheard him saying that. Roman gets called somewhere and he leaves without seeing her.
Bo’s talking on his microphone and chasing the dealer at the same time (tsk tsk) who’s driving like a maniac. Later Bo’s still trying to tail the dealer and gets on the mic asking where his back up is (they’re all at the cop shop booing at Chaz and eating donuts I think). Bo returns to the station (lost the dealer) and takes his turn at Chaz, who denies knowing anything. Abe comes out and pulls Bo off, telling him to be cool and to remember Palmer’s watching them. Abe has Chaz taken to lock up. Bo figures a couple of slaps would make Chaz talk, but Abe doesn’t recommend it. His cell rings and he hears the dealer’s car was found abandoned. He doesn’t tell Bo where they found it.
BACK IN THE ALLEY
Hope and Jen go into action as Hope kicks the guy while Jen wrestles with Maria. The guy gets the gun back on Hope, but Jack rushes up and jumps on the guy making him drop the gun when Hope kicks him. She grabs the gun as Jack’s holding the guy from behind. Jen wrestles with Maria and Jack rushes over and the two push Maria in the trunk and shut it. They rush to push the back seat up so she can’t escape the same way as Jen did just as Roman and the officers he grabbed arrive. Jen and Jack, catching their breath, ask if they should become deputies as Roman smiles and congratulates the trio on a job well done. They tell Roman about Jen’s call to Jack and fortunately he got the message and showed up just in time. Bo arrives (Roman called him) and Hope tells him she’s fine and the cop training helped. Jen never wants to be kidnapped again (I still say they should implant tracking devices in Jen, Hope and Marlena). Bo wants to talk with Maria, but Roman tells Bo he will do that. Jen and Jack leave and Bo and Hope are happy each is okay.
BACK TO THE BLUE NOTE
Kate returns (doesn’t she ever go home?) to find Carson Palmer and the Mayor drinking at a table. She asks the bartender how long they’ve been there and he tells her 10-15 minutes (looks more like they’re drinking then talking, haha) as he pours her another chardonnay. She lurks behind them and overhears Palmer complaining about the cowboy Brady brothers making his job so hard. The mayor gets a cell call and rushes off to another appointment, telling Palmer to be vigilant. Kate asks Palmer what the nice Mayor is doing with him. Palmer is sarcastic as he berates the Brady brothers promising to clean up the mess they leave. He tells Kate she could do better and leaves.
After returning from the alley with Maria and the thug, Roman calls Kate on her cell. She tells him she’s not interesting talking now, maybe never.
ECHELON CLUB
Ramsel arrives and is taken to a back room by the manager. Tony’s man (Barney) spots what’s going on. Abe and a couple plainclothes cops walk in and show their badges to a hostess, asking for the manager. The manager wants a warrant before letting them look around. Abe agrees, saying he’ll go get one and have the two officers take his patrons names and phone numbers so they can follow up with them later. He’s sure their wives would be interested where they spend their time. This changes the manager’s mind and he lets them look around. Barney steps outside and calls Tony with what’s happening. He tells him that Victor K. had some good hiding spaces built when he owned the club, so figures the guy won’t be found. Tony orders Barney to find out who the guy is and to have him tailed when he leaves. Tony beckons Bart to bring the car around as they’re going out. They arrive at the club. Tony goes inside (we don’t see it) and returns back to the car, telling Bart to take him home. After Tony left, Abe tells the manager what they were looking for and leaves, not fooled by their faux innocence.
DRUG HOUSE
Jack and Jen watch the taped off house as packages of drugs are being carried out. Upset this is happening so close to their home and daughter, Jen wants this stopped. Jack, realizing how close he came to losing Jen that night, holds her close and agrees. She wants to hang around until they can find out more. Jack disagrees, saying he just wants to take her home and let the babysitter go home. He wants to light a fire and sit with her, some milk and cookies in front of it and appreciate what he has right now. He promises to talk to Bo and Roman first thing in the morning. Smiling, she agrees and they head home.
BACK TO THAT ALLEY
Bo asks Officer Santos to take his wife home. The officer agrees after he’s finished in a couple minutes. Bo takes his gun out and reloads it in front of Hope as she pleads with him to not do this alone. Saying he has to do it, he walks off leaving her standing alone..as the previews for tomorrow roll…
Mimi finds herself burrowing between Belle and Cassie as they start the tv show
Sami yells at Lucas for playing her all along. He agrees.
Brandon tells Sami she looks incredible…
Marlena asks John if the only reason he’s doing this is to bring down Tony. John’s reply, “You’re damn right it is”…as the credits roll.

Tape date – various
Director – Phil Sogard
Salem PD is on the move, as Bo & Roman’s stakeout escalates into a dangerous situation and an APB is out on Maria’s car as Jack & Hope use their own methods of searching, while Brady reassures Chloe, Vic meets again with Tony. & the gal trio impresses the Love Is Blind producer.
ECHELON
Victor arrives, greets the gal at the bar, and tips her after inquiring about Tony. He joins the Count at a table, and they chat back and forth about Echelon. Vic asks what plans Tony has for the place, but Tony gives his Cheshire cat smile, and is mum. Brady comes in, and Tony leaves to give them some privacy. Brady tells his grandfather he will take the job at Titan, on condition there is nothing illegal about anything there. Vic assures him all is on the up and up. Brady asks Vic to not broadcast the news, until he tells his dad himself. Vic agrees.
Brady leaves, Tony rejoins Victor. They banter back & forth about the club. Victor notes that Tony hired a new bouncer, and complains that Tony had agreed to keep all the employees. Tony retorts he owns all the place, and can change anything he wants, including the pictures. Victor acknowledges this may be true, but Tony should be very careful not to make any enemies at the Club…..or he truly will regret it.
SALEM HOSPITAL
Brady knocks on the window to Chloe’s room to get her attention, and calls her on the phone. (Hmm, a phone right outside her door…interesting) Chloe is weak, tired, but Brady gives her a nice pep talk, and even has her imagining he is right there on the bed next to her. He tells her of the job offer from Victor, talks some more, and she dozes off. She wakes up, seeing he’s gone and calls his cell phone. She is not a happy camper when he answers from the “gentlemen’s club”, and she complains about him gawking at naked women. She tells him to go back to his lap dance (rotfl!!) and hangs up.
He returns later (see above), calls her again, and explains about accepting the job at Titan, assuring her she is more beautiful, sickly as she is, than any of the girls at Echelon. He tells her of a dream he had last nite, of buying a 10 million dollar house for the two of them, then getting cold feet at the idea of the mortgage. (Jeez, and wouldn’t we all…..! Just imagine…22 years old, she is 18-19 and they talk of a $10 million dollar house….amazing. LOL.) He says he may go into the music end of Titan, and even start his own label, (My, my!) and have her record for him, saying she would be the lst erotic opera singer. (egads!). He has her smiling, and feeling better.
HARTLEY HOUSE
The female denizens are all lined up, as the producer passes out flyers about the show. Cassie, Belle & Mimi line up, yakking it up about the show. Does not take long before Cassie & Belle are at it, tooth & nail, slamming each other right and left. Mimi keeps interjecting comments (love that Meems, and like her outfit…looks great) trying to get them to cool it, talk sensibly and include her. LOL. Belle apologizes, but is right back at it with Cassie, about parents, Chas, Shawn, you name it. The producer (Ms. Ortiz) comes up, loving the sparring, and claiming this is exactly what they are looking for, saying something about the Jerry Springer type fighting. The Love is Blind show is a dating game…the hot hunk is blindfolded, during a date with each gal. (They must all be friends) and has to dump two, without seeing them, on the basis of the date. She thinks this trio would be perfect. Mimi moans at once about she knows exactly WHO would be the first dumpee!. (Nah, Meems, you got it all over the other two, all you need is a bit of self confidence.!)
THE KIDNAPPING
Jack & Hope find Jennifer’s parked car, with Jen no where in sight. Jack calls her on her cell, and they are shocked when it rings close by. They find her purse, phone, and realize she is gone. They call Abe, he puts out an APB on Maria’s car, after telling them that Bo & Roman spotted Maria going into the drug house, but leaving after a few minutes. Jack decides to go after Carson Palmer, figuring he knows where Maria has taken Jen, but they wait for police to show up. Jack takes off for the D.A.’s office, while Hope gets in her car…..she calls Abe, who describes Maria’s car to her.
Jack goes to Palmer’s office, and finds him shredding papers in the outer office. His phone rings, and he scampers into a supply room to take the call. Abe asks what does he have, Jack says he is getting close, and will call him later. Jack then calls Palmer, pretending to be Judge Foster’s clerk, needing some files that have not been delivered yet. Carson promises to look, and goes into his office. Jack sneaks into outer office to look thru the papers Palmer was shredding. He likes what he sees, and gathers a few, when he hears Palmer calling Judge Foster, and learning that the clerk had not called him. Uh, oh.
Meanwhile, we see Maria walking around her car, slapping a huge flashlight against her hand, and then Jen in the trunk of the car, grunting and groaning, as she finally manages to loosen her bonds and the gag. She tries different things to extricate herself, finally getting into the back of the car, finding a cell phone, and calling Jack. (he has turned off his cell, while snooping thru the papers) She leaves a message, saying she is in an alley, and is calling the police. (No idea where Maria is). She then calls Hope, telling her she is in the alley, near an old tire factory, & is calling the police, but Hope says she is only a couple blocks away, and will be there in a few minutes.
Vin is packing up a huge duffel bag, as Chas says he doesn’t see anyone out there. Vin reminds him he got a code blue, and if they are not there now, they will be. Chas doesn’t like the idea of shooting at anyone, but Vin says he had better. Outside, Bo is getting antsy, as he sees Vin stash the duffel bag in his car, realizing he is gonna take off. Roman holds him back, Bo calls Abe who warns him to stay put til backup gets there. Bo sees Vin packing up another bag, and ignoring Roman, leaps out of the car to stop Vin. Gun fire erupts…..and there is lots of shooting going on. Chas fires from inside the house, & Vin from outside. Roman has joined Bo…..and eventually we hear sirens. Via a loudspeaker, we hear a voice announcing the house is surrounded and come out with hands up. As Bo begins to leave his cover, Roman takes a hit and goes down. Bo is besides himself, calling Roman’s name. Roman finally answers, barely able to talk, as he says it was the wind knocked out, took a vest hit….but thinks he may have a cracked rib or three. Cops are leading Chas from the house, and he tells them to take care of Roman, as he jumps up to go after Vin. Roman yells, Bo, not by yourself, Damn it! …..fade to black….and the previews show….
Cassie to Tony…I’m going on a television show, and you can’t stop me. Tony replies, Oh, yes I can
Cassie asks Rex how he likes her outfit (the shortest white shorts with wide belt I have ever seen, black halter top and elbow length black gloves.. lol) and he says she looks like a hoochie mama. (ROTFL). She asks if that is bad.
Hope is struggling with Vin, while Jen is doing the same with Maria. They are in back of the car, with the trunk open, it is very dark. I think it is Bo, who comes leaping onto Vin’s back, a shot rings out, and Jen gets an agonized look on her face. And the credits roll

Shawn and Rex are in their room doing homework when Mimi drops by, letting Shawn know that she is looking for some alone time with Rex. After Shawn leaves, Mimi tries to see what Rex is working on, but he hides it from her. She asks if all is okay with Cassie and apparently he doesn’t know about her getting drunk and arrest. So she begins to fill him about it. Over in Belle’s room, Cassie arrives as she and Belle immediately get into it about Cassie going through Belle’s things. Belle eventually apologizes somewhat for over reacting. Chas shows up and Belle gives him the cold shoulder and is rude to him. He tells Cassie that he is headed to the party house and will call her later. After he leaves, the girls argue again about Belle being so rude. Cassie leaves and goes to Rex’s room just in time to overhear Mimi telling Rex what happened with Cassie. Cassie finishes the story for Rex, telling him about calling John and how he helped her. Cassie then begins to try to talk him into moving back to the mansion with her. Mimi is against the idea and makes it known. Rex pulls her aside and reminds her that she promised to be Cassie’s friend. As Cassie and Rex talk, Mimi shuffles through Rex’s papers at his desk, which really upsets him. Cassie says that Mimi is just nosey and he agrees that he needs his privacy. He decides that he IS moving back with Cassie and begins to pack his things. In Belle’s room, Shawn has arrived, telling Belle that they need to work this out. Belle gets upset with him all over again. She thinks that maybe they just aren’t to be. Shawn asks what can he do to prove himself, but Belle feels that he can’t, she feels that they have no honesty and that they just don’t belong together. She brings up Jan as Shawn throws up his arms and goes to leave. She gives him her box of keepsakes and he says that if she doesn’t trust him, he will just find someone who does. After arguing with Cassie, Mimi storms off to Belle’s room as both of them complain and moan about Cassie running their lives. Belle tells Mimi about the breakup with Shawn. Shawn returns to his room as Cassie is leaving and he tells Rex about the breakup as well. Cassie retuns to Belle’s room and begins needling Belle about Shawn. Penny (remember her?) comes by with flyers, telling the girls about a new reality dating show that is casting at Salem U. They read the flyers and all decide that they are going to try out.
Salem PD…
Hope is at home still listening to the police band radio. The other cops are on the line, giving Roman a hard time (about Kate’s profession of love). They are calling him “Captain Romeo” but neither he nor Bo answer calls. This begins to worry Hope, who calls Julie to come over and sit with Zack. At the copshop, Able finds out that they have had no contact with them as Carson Palmer shows up riding Abe about what the “Brady Boys” are up to now. Abe threatens him and he backs down. Jack and Jennifer are listening from the hallway and hide as Carson leaves. But before he leaves, he pulls a female cop aside and instructs her to keep him up to date. They follow him back to his office. Hope arrives in a frantic state, sure that something has gone wrong. She wants Abe to order backup, but he says that he can’t spare anyone right now (hey, what about all those folks standing around there?) She fears that Bo will try to go it alone. Hill calls Palmer and gives him an update and that the brothers are ready to move.
Jack and Jenn follow him to his office and hear him talking to someone but can’t see who. Jack informs Jen that he placed the bugged pin he gave her in Carson’s office so they listen. It’s Maria with him and they talk about “taking care” of Jack and Jenn. When she leaves, Jen follows her (much to Jack’s protests) as he keeps an eye on Carson. Outside, Maria realizes she is being followed and sneaks up on Jen and whacks her on the head with her purse. We later see Jenn tied up and gagged in the trunk of Maria’s car.
Meanwhile, Bo and Roman snoop around the house (Bo wants to break down the door and go in, but Roman persuades him not to). The look in a window and find a table full of drugs as Bo says “Jackpot”. A car pulls up and they hide in the bushes. It’s Vin, the drug guy who goes on in and gets a warning call from Palmer “code blue”. Jack overhears all this and high tails it to the police station. A little while later, Maria shows up at Vin’s and tells him she spotted the guys casing the place out front. (She remembered Bo from the other night). She also tells him about Jennifer. He isn’t too happy and tells her to dump her somewhere…he doesn’t care what she does with her. Bo and Roman head back to the car and wait for the backup that never comes. Jack rushes into the police station and talks privately to Hope and Abe, telling them what is going on. He tries several times to call Jenn, but she doesn’t answer and he fears that something has happened to her. We see her again in the trunk as she comes to with a panicked look on her face. Bo becomes very impatient and mutters and moans about having to wait. He wants to rush the place but Roman tries to talk him out of it. They see Maria drive off as Bo wants to follow her, but another car pulls up. This time it’s Cassie’s little friend, Chas. He goes in as Vin tells him that he got a “code blue” from Palmer and it’s time to go to war (as he opens a drawer full of guns). Outside, Bo can’t wait any longer and tells Roman “I’m going in” and jumps out of the car….freeze frame on Bo’s face…fade to black.
On the Next Days of Our Lives…
On the phone, Chloe asks Brady how is life on the outside…he says “lonely”…
Mimi tells Cassie and Belle that this is an amazing opportunity…Belle asks where do I sign up?…
Jack says he is going to Palmer’s office and force him to tell him where Jennifer is, as we see her tied up…
Bo and Roman are under heavy fire…

Episode #9539
Taped 3/25/03
Director – Phil Sogard
Summary: John and Marlena argue over her feelings about Tony/Roman…Rex has an unexpected visitor…Kate bears her soul to Roman…Shawn and Belle continue to make up.
At Hartley House…
Shawn and Belle relax on the sofa in the common room and promise to never fight anymore. They talk about how lucky they are to have each other. Another couple comes over and Belle notices her ring. They explain that it is a purity ring and how they promised to not have sex until marriage. After they leave, Shawn and Belle discuss the idea of abstinence. Shawn tells her about his little talk with her dad about sex…because SHE led John to think she and Shawn were having sex. Belle tries to explain that she can’t help it, she talks with her parents and is honest with them. Shawn tells her that Bo also asked him about the same issue, but seemed to be more concerned that they were careful. But, his mom, on the other hand, doesn’t even want to consider the idea. They discuss the double standards for young men vs. young women. Shawn talks about the baseball road trip and the girls that were there, but how Belle is the only girl he wants to be with and they kiss. Later, as they snuggle, Belle says that she likes NOT being jealous as they discuss their future. She promises to stay this way. But Shawn isn’t so sure that she can. She tells him that she isn’t so controlled and can go crazy at times and let loose. To prove it, she picks up a can of soda, shakes it and spews it all over him. Others in the room notice and join in, throwing food at them. A food fight ensues as Shawn and Belle are pelted with food as they kiss.
At Roman’s Place…
Kate and Roman go to his place and argue. She flips her hair and walks off as he calls her a damned diva. He demands to know why she was out with Tony (hmmm…is this the green-eyed monster coming out?) They continue to argue as Roman calls Tony a snake and accuses her of trying to make him jealous. She wants to hear his true feelings but he rakes her over the coals for declaring her love for him over the police radio. She points out that they are in the privacy of his home now…and tells him again that she loves him. But he won’t return the sentiment, so she goes to leave. He stops her and tells her that he has strong feelings for her but would rather SHOW her how he feels. He talks about how jealous he felt seeing her with Tony and kisses her. She pulls away and asks him to say the words she longs to hear. But he kisses her again saying he has his own way of showing how he feels…and they head towards the bedroom, where they go at it like 2 dogs in heat. Later, in the afterglow, she talks about about being so satisfied with him and she begins to reflect on her past. The camera moves in tight on her as she says she has something important to tell him. She finally has the courage to share with him about her past. She tells him that when she was younger and desperate, she sold herself to men for money. She spills her guts and bears her soul to him and as she turns toward him with tears cascading down her cheeks, finds him sound asleep. Later, she has dressed and as she leaves, she looks back at a sleeping Roman and says “goodbye”.
At the Penthouse…
John confronts Marlena about the bug sweeping device and demands to know where she got it. She tells him from Roman. John makes a nasty comment about running to her ex for help. Both are on edge as they argue about their mistrust of each other. John back-pedals, trying to smooth things over, but Marlena accuses him of being jealous of Tony. They talk about how the twins and Tony have changed their lives and she asks him to stop being insecure. Is he afraid that history will repeat itself (referring to her cheating on Roman, with him). She talks about the guilt she had over the affair. John assures her that she is only human and not to blame herself over that, the situation was different. John only wishes she hadn’t involved Roman in this. They start to argue again with John saying he feels that Roman is still in love with her. She gets defensive and John says that Roman can’t commit to Kate because Marlena ruined him for all other women. She is highly offended and retreats to the terrace. John follows her and tries to explain. But Marlena swears that she Roman are close only because of their children they share. John asks…like you and Tony? John thinks that Tony is like Stefano and will try to ruin their lives, but Marlena defends Tony’s actions. John doesn’t buy her arguments, believing that Tony is NOT innocent and is just as conniving as his father. Marlena points out that Tony has just as much reason to hate John as John believes that Tony is only manipulating her and the situation. John says that earlier, at Tuscany, he noticed that Marlena couldn’t keep her eyes off Tony and Kate and asks if she is jealous. She is again offended by his remarks and declares that she has NO interest in Tony. John is her partner, in dancing and ALL things. She walks over and turns on some music and asks him to dance with her. He reluctantly gives in as they slowly dance and kiss. But something tells me that this is FAR from over. UGH!
Over at DiMansion…
Rex gets a call from Professor Putnam (Rolf) who wants to meet with him. Rex informs him that Tony isn’t home and to come on over. Rex is monitoring his “experiment” via remote camera on his computer when Rolf arrives, so he covers the computer. Rolf says he is there to check up on Rex and see how he is doing. He tells him about almost being finished with college and about he is working on an independent study project. He also talks about Cassie’s recent troubles. Rolf is impressed with Rex’s IQ and asks what he is working on. Rex becomes curious about Rolf’s interest in him and Cassie, realizing that it is deeper than it seems. He asks about his connection to Tony and wants an explanation. Rolf explains that he delivered them and is very proud of them. Rex asks if they were just an experiment and wants details. Rolf explains further and assures him that he came to care for them in the process and had their best interests at heart. They sit and talk about Stefano and Rolf’s role in his plan. Rex doesn’t blame Rolf, who is glad that Rex understands. Rolf again questions Rex about his project and offers to assist him in any way. Rex isn’t ready for that and says maybe later. Before he leaves, Rex asks Rolf to remove the rug and let him see what he really looks like…AND to speak with his real voice. Rolf chuckles that he is one smart cookie as Rex pulls off the rug. Rolf gives him the address where he is and that he is registered under his mother’s maiden name, Blitz. Again he tells him that he is proud of him and leaves. After he is gone, Rex thinks he is weird and if he is proud now…just wait.
At the end of the show, Rex is back in the cavern to check on his project. He says “get ready Salem…my presence is about to be felt…in a BIG way!”…as the previews roll…
On the NEXT Days of Our Lives…
Lexie (to Hope)… “It only happened once…I cannot let Brandon threaten my marriage”
Someone is holding a gun on Rex…
Abe (to Bo)… “Vin Ramsel is out on bail” Bo: “I’m gonna take down the bastard myself”
Jennifer (to a distraught Jack): “We’re gonna strip you down to the basics and start all over with you (as we see Jack dressed in different outfits…leather, a retro hippie look, then in a suit with his hair slicked back) as the “In the House” theme plays…
…and the credits roll

Episode #9538
Taped 3/24/03
Director – Roger Inman
Belle and Shawn make up, Chloe and Brady talk about the future, the television’s gone and Kate and Tony provide the evening’s entertainment at Tuscany and Marlena’s sleuthing skills need improvement.
CHLOE’S HOSPITAL ROOM
We join Chloe telling Brady she’s worried his new job working for Victor will break them up. He admits his grandfather has reservations against her, but he won’t let him control him. She knows Victor set the stage, even though she broke up with Philip. The nurse interrupts saying she has to draw blood now. Brady asks for a few more minutes, but the nurse insists it can’t, leaving Chloe and Brady concerned as to what’s wrong. The nurse states she’s only up against a deadline to get the samples to the lab. They exchange I love yous and leave. He rejoins Chloe, who feels drained of blood. He agrees with Victor in respect that she was not “daughter in law” material. She asks where this is all coming from. Brady explains Victor knew she and Philip weren’t a match, but he and her might want to talk about getting married in the near future as he kisses her forehead. Later he congratulates her on eating all her dinner. Promising her whipped cream and chocolate sauce after she gets out of the hospital, she falls asleep on his shoulder as he tells her he loves her.
SALEM UNDERGROUND
Rex and his flashlight are wandering the underground tunnels of Salem on Stefano’s map looking for coal. Eureka. He found it.
LOVE IS BLIND, SHOW #2
Belle, Mimi and Gabby arrive at the Dimera Mansion to pick up Cassie. Apparently Gabby didn’t know where Cassie lived (she and Ralph from IN THE HOUSE are a fine pair). Belle and Cassie exchange nasties (yawn) as Meems asks for them to play nice. Cassie turns on her next insulting her wardrobe as Belle defends her. Tony thankfully interrupts. Shawn arrives and asks to speak with Belle alone for a couple minutes. She agrees and they step out front to talk. Gabby apologizes to Tony and tries to explain the show. He isn’t interested, nor does he want to watch any footage of it. He feels it only encourages negative behavior. Realizing the show isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (ha, expression of the day), she welcomes his criticism. Cassie joins them and proudly said he and Gabby have a lot in common. She not only produces the show, but came up with the idea. Just saying her name, Cassie clues in to leave him alone and she and Gabby leave.
Outside Shawn tells Belle he misses her, them. They belong together and she is too upset to understand that now. He promises to be more sympathetic to her and her feelings if she’ll agree to not look so depressed and disappointed when with him. He’s ready to change, is she? Cue Gabby, Mimi and Cassie to come out to head for the car. They call Belle from the car and w/o saying a word to Shawn, just nervous glances between him and the car, she dashes off.
The gals return to DiMansion after taping the show as Meems loves the show biz world Shawn and Rex step out of the study (guess Shawn just hung around waiting?) and Gabby and Belle (who had been talking privately out front for a minute) walk in. Gabby drools over Rex as Belle and Shawn step quietly into the study. Gabby suggests Rex might be a good candidate for the next show where one gal chooses between three guys. Shawn asks Belle to stop the show now and not do the final taping. Rex splits and Mimi, upset, does too. Belle doesn’t want to bail this late in the show and says the “hunk” looks nice. Shawn tells her he knows she loves him body, mind and soul and she has him repeat it again. He loves every thing about her, even that she’s a perfectionist and knowing he’s not perfect. All he can do is promise never to make that mistake again. She agrees to tell him something about LOVE IS BLIND then. She had signed a contract not to divulge what happens on the show, but will admit to doing some things on purpose to turn off the hunk because she realized how much he (Shawn) meant to her. Assured this time will be different, she agrees to get back together with him.
Mimi shows up at Rex’s door and he doesn’t want her in the room. Mimi goes on about how great their kiss was, citing Hollywood celeb couples as an example. He isn’t interested as his mission comes first, so he shuts the door on her. She walks off and seconds later, dashes out with his bag of equipment. He returns to the tunnel where the coal is and sets up his equipment which looks like a long blaster from Star Wars.
Cassie does a pitch to Gabby about her and Rex co-hosting a show and offers to help Gabby find two other hunks on campus for their next show. Two of a kind, they’re happy with the idea. A frustrated Mimi joins them, upset with Rex.
SALEM GYM
Marlena finds Roman pumping weights. She needs a bug sweeping device (to protect herself from his ISA counterpart??) She explains how John bugged her and upset no one’s giving Tony a chance to prove himself. She thinks fatherhood has changed him and it’s unfair John won’t give him a chance. She just wants peace now in both their home and in the house of DiMera. She asks if he’ll help her.
JOHN’S OFFICE
Ops and John talk about how to get the goods on TonyD. Ops decides they should research his businesses for more info and hands John a huge file on his research. John chuckles as he sees that Tony recently acquired Club Echelon. He knows that’s not Tony’s cup of tea and he must be up to something. John thanks Ops and as they talk about their next step, we find Kate impatiently waiting for John at the secretary’s desk. She answers the phone and Tony asks her out to Tuscany for dinner. Marlena arrived meanwhile and overhears Kate’s part of the conversation. (Key to know that Kate never says out loud where she and Tony are going to dinner) Marlena asks about Roman and Kate tells her they’re over. Ops and John walk out and John apologizes to the “courier” for taking so long. Ops goes with the flow and leaves and Kate gives John some paperwork on another company to review. She heads off to dinner and Marlena asks John if it gets easier to lie to people. He tells her if it’s for the greater good, he’ll do it and invites her out to dinner to talk about it. She agrees, suggesting Tuscany, and wants to stop by the house to change first.
TUSCANY
John and Marlena (who’s now clad in a white suit..which to an Italian restaurant wouldn’t be MY first choice, ha!) are seated. Tony and Kate arrive (she’s wearing a black and white low cut leopard print bodice with slim black skirt) and are seated at a nearby table in the middle of the room (those tables are sure spread far apart there) and the four exchange glances. Tony asks if Marlena knew they were dining there as well. Later, Maggie herself clears John and Marlena’s plates, noting they hardly ate anything. John reminds her she hasn’t answered his question. She tells him she didn’t know where they were eating, she just liked the food there. Coatless, Tony returns to his table and tells Kate everything’s been taken care of. Unsure if she’s ready for this next move, he convinces her to live dangerously and takes her hand to dance (ah, that’s why the tables are so far apart!). The two dance (a tango) in the middle of Tuscany (more like a floor show, c’mon!) as everyone watches. Tony seductively strokes Kate’s arm as they continue their performance. Roman walks in and isn’t enjoying the show, LOL, as Kate looks into Tony’s eyes. Marlena spots Roman and excuses herself. She joins Roman in the bar and he discreetly gives her a bug sweeper device (about wallet size) and explains she just has to flip a switch and the light turns yellow if there’s a bug around. She slips it into her purse and encourages him to talk to Kate, saying Kate loves him. Wisely, Roman leaves. Marlena returns as Kate and Tony finish their dance. Tony goes to kiss her, but Kate pulls away. Marlena apologizes to John, saying she hates it when they fight. Kate thanks Tony for the dinner and the dance, saying they were lovely. She tells him it can’t happen again as she’s in love with someone, and leaves. Tony offers to walk her to her car, but she tells him no and goes out the front. Bart tells Tony he has the address Tony wanted and they head out back to the limo. He arrives to find a negligee clad blonde handing him a drink as he steps inside. (guess Kate was the warm up act?)
As Kate goes to give her parking ticket to the valet, Roman interrupts flashing his badge saying she’s with him. Privately he threatens the handcuffs again, LOL, insisting they’re going to talk about this now.
John and Marlena return to the penthouse. He comments on her being so quiet. She loves him but not sure about his secret life. If they can keep talking they’ll be okay. They agree it’s a good time for the making up part and she drops her purse on the floor as they go to kiss. He finds the bug sweeper that falls out and asks about it as the previews roll…
Belle tells Shawn she can go crazy too ..the next scene they’re throwing things around the room laughing…
John tells Marlena that Kate and Roman were going hot and heavy, but Roman can’t commit as Marlena’s ruined him for anyone else….
Kate and Roman appear to have made up as she tells him there are three other words she’d rather hear. He leans forward saying he has a better way of saying what he wants to ….as the credits roll….

Episode #9537
Taped 3/21/03
Director – Herb Stein
We are taken all over town today, as Jack & Jen wrap their first show, the bad guys get booked, the good gals visit the gym, Cassie has not learned any lessons, while Rex puts the finishing touches on his project. And NO ONE mentions having to file their tax return. LOLOL
AT THE HOSPITAL, Chloe is dreaming that Brady is telling her they must say goodbye. A nurse wakes her, and a bit later Brady arrives. Evidently her transplant is working, but she is still tired. Craig shows up outside the door with flowers….but only brings in the card. From Cecelia Marin, who writes something about the next time Chloe gets flowers will be at Julliard. Chloe asks Craig to give the flowers to another patient who might be cheered up by them and he leaves. She & Brady yak it up a bit, as she tells him of her dream. He reassures her, but she is convinced Grampa Victor had a partial reason to offer Brady that job…..to keep them apart. She knows Vic doesn’t like her.
AT TUSCANY, Bo, Hope, Shawn & Maggie are still watching IN THE HOUSE. Bo leaves to go to the station for the booking, Maggie takes Zack to the kitchen (amazing the places people take that poor kid, lol) leaving Hope & Shawn to chat a bit, especially about Belle. Hope tells Shawn she & his dad broke up and made up a lot….just give it time. Alice arrives and Hope leaves to get Zack. Shawn is wise to it all, as Alice imparts some age old wisdom. They chat about lending girls cell phones, the trouble it causes, & Shawn remarks that Gran & Grampa Tom never had that kind of trouble. Alice retorts that technology may change, but not biology. LOLOL Love that Alice. She encourages him to wait, and not to try and hurry things. Shawn gets the point.
IN THE HOUSE is still going strong, as Jack & Jennifer talk about the papers Carson was trying to shred, all the evidence against him connecting him to Vin Ramsell, payoffs, etc. Jack hands the papers to Abe, who is reading Palmer his rights. They leave, J&J do some chatting, then say goodbye, come see them again. Jack tugs at his ear, ala Carol Burnett…..then turns and does his best Jackie Gleason impression, as he says to Jen….Baby, you’re the greatest. Cue the big kiss. leave it to Jack to add the perfect finishing touch. (Wonder if any of that was ad lib...Matt is so good at that kind of thing) The show is a wrap, producer is pleased and everyone clears out. Jen is happy, noting Abby will not even know anyone was there….but worries about summer. LOL. They talk of their wedding.
AT DIMANSION,Cassie is entertaining a few friends, and it looks like they have helped themselves to the liquor cabinet. She is still wearing her hootchie mama (Rex’s description) outfit from the show, and everyone is bemoaning the loss of the party house, with the arrest of Ramsell. One guy asks Cassie if they can have their next beer bash there, the gal will take care of all the inviting. Someone takes Stefano’s urn, and the guys begin tossing it around like a football (oh, poor, Stef!) in spite of Cassie’s pleas to stop. She hears Tony’s arrival out in the hall, and shoos everyone out the French doors.
Out in the hall, Rex receives a package containing maps of the tunnels under Salem. Bart comes out, noting them. Rex says he heard Bart is the one to talk to as he heard Bart knows everything about them. Bart agrees, saying Stefano had more ways to get outta town than you could imagine. Tony arrives, wanting to know what it is all about. Rex claims he is working on a hypothetical subway system for Salem. Bart looks puzzled, but agrees, Rex goes up to his room.
Two of Club Echelon’s employees arrive, and Tony explains to them why Carl’s services were terminated. (Cassie is trying to rid the study of the evidence her friends were there, and is carrying two glasses of booze. She offers them to the guests. (OMG…but at least wipes the glasses with a napkin) Tony says that Carl actually tried to hide a criminal from the law, forgetting he was no longer working for Mr. Kiriakis, and Tony will have none of that. They are to make sure Tony never sees Carl again, but of course, not kill him. (no idea even WHY this conversation is taking place, especially at Tony’s home).
Tony then deals with Cassie, telling her she promised not to drink alcohol, broke that promise. He forbade her to go on the dating show, she went anyway. Cassie gives him a song and dance about wanting friends, being lonely, people thinking of her as alien freak. Tony melts, says she has been “in this world” less than a year (Then how did she get to be over 18?) gives her his blessing. Cassie goes up to Rex’s room, where he is working on his mysterious silver box. He covers it, & she wants to know if Rex thinks Tony would let her have a party. Rex throws out words like drunk and debauchery (hysterical) and thinks Cassie should cool it. She leaves…..he locks the door, uncovers his box, and talks into a microphone, recording “all the events”, and saying it is not for nothing his name means “king”. (Rex is getting a bit scary here). He open the box, does something inside, closes it, pulls a switch and a counter lights up. All systems are go.
AT BASIC BLACK, Brady is packing up his desk, as Belle comes bouncing in, wanting to know who gets his desk. He says his body is not even cold yet. LOL. They banter back and forth with Kate joining.in. Roman arrives, Kate tells him to leave. He scolds her about broadcasting on the police radio (that really was NOT a smart thing to do) and Kate retorts that Roman has pushed her to open up to her feelings, she finally did, and he is afraid of his. They argue a bit and he leaves. Later, Kate & Belle go to the gym, meeting Hope. Belle goes off to a machine that is opening up, running into Shawn. They don’t say much, but later he helps her raise a bar bell, and suddenly they kiss. She gets up and runs out. Meanwhile, Kate wonders where Hope gets all her energy. They talk about Belle & Shawn, Roman, just a bit of girl talk.
AT THE COP SHOP, Bo is waiting as the cops bring Vin back in. Bo lights into Vin, who brags they will never put him away. Bo tells him his friends in high places won’t be able to help him now, as Palmer has been arrested. Roman asks Bo if he really threatened Vin, and Bo smiles, saying no, that is not what he said. Roman reminds him he is NOT Charles Bronson. Bo replies “I’m NOT???” LOL.
Abe comes in with Palmer in handcuffs. Abe takes Vin to make his “phone call”, and being it’s privileged, leaves the room. Vin calls someone, complaining about the Brady brothers, calling them dumb and dumber. LOL. He is gonna make the Brady’s pay. (Wonder if he called the mayor??) Abe is listening outside and hears this. (hey, Abe, if you hit redial on your phone….you can find out WHO Vin called – even Jen knows how to do that!)
As Vin is brought out, he tells the Brady boys that he will be out in 24 hrs. Carson has been spouting off about being unjustly accused, reminding Lexie that she, too, was in the same boat not long ago. She gives him a speech about having voted for him, blah, blah, and how he has failed the people of Salem. He is led away, and both Brady men are smiling. But Abe tells them of Vin’s threat against them on the phone, and tell Bo & Roman that it is not over yet…..not by a long shot. And the previews show….
Mimi rhapsodizing to Cassie about how wonderful it is to be in show biz
Marlena, surprised, asking Kate about having dinner with Tony…& Kate saying she & Roman are over
Kate & Tony dancing a tango….being watched by an obviously jealous Roman.

Episode #9536
Tape date – 3/20/03
Director – Randy Robbins
Summary: In the House debuts with an arresting show!, Belle gets a job as Brady quits his.
Jennifer and Jack are IN THE HOUSE
Jack is shocked to return home just before their first LIVE show starts. The living room is loaded with the crew as Jack rationalizes the show was to take place at the studio. Jen tells him that Hannah’s Household Hints contract wasn’t picked up so they needed to start today, LIVE. A fast talking Jack freaks as a calm Jennifer explains Ralph’s got everything under control (wasn’t he the one in the fetal position moaning yesterday? Uh, yup). They strip Jack of his shirt and jacket and pancake his face as an anxious Jack frets about everything making funny comments as only Jack can do, LOL. Jen and Jack rush to the front door as the countdown begins. Jen introduces herself as Jennifer Horton and Jack Deveraux as her husband, well, er, ex-husband..as Jack just listens while Jen makes an attempt to run the show while he stands there. Jen tells the audience how they use to be reporters for the Salem Spectator and thought a talk show format would be fun. She buttons Jack’s shirt for him as Jack utters single syllables and asks her if the opening song will be used all the time. She explains it’s their theme song, so yes, it will. (reminds me of Where in the World is Carmen San Diego theme, but punchier with “who’s in the house”) Jack doesn’t like it. Jen tells him if they get cancelled and picked up again, he’ll get to choose the next theme song. He asks for 24 hrs to prepare, mumbling this is a deal breaker. She agrees with the 24 hrs. and shakes his hand to seal the deal as they smile going to commercial. Ralph is hiding his face in his hands.
During the commercial Jack promises to be better as Jen dashes off to greet their first guest. Jack panics and welcomes everyone back to his house as Ralph keeps correcting him they’re IN THE HOUSE. Jack announces it’s time for his pet peeve for the day. He does his own TA-DA being there’s no other sound effect available. Jack tells his pet peeve is getting French fries (hmmm….or is that freedom fries?) at a fast food restaurant and they only give you a couple little plastic bags of catsup that are hard to open and don’t hold much. He demonstrates with his teeth warning granny to watch her dentures as to what you have to do to open the bags as Ralph cringes. Jen talks to Palmer and Lexie at the front door as Palmer threatens to stop what she’s doing. Jen explains they have all the proper permits. He tells her what he’s heard about her story on the Vin Ramsel case as she looks at Jack in the distance doing the show. She tells them he’s presenting some hard hitting news right now (yeah, how to open catsup bags, LOL), but welcomes Palmer to come in and talk to the masses on their show. As journalists they feel it’s their duty to present what they’ve found out. Palmer declines not wanting her to grill him on tv. Jen feels it’s their right to say their thoughts then and tells Palmer he’s right not to want to face Jack as he knows what a wild card he is. They turn and see a vehement Jack talking and waving hands at the camera (must be a large house where they can’t HEAR him!) Palmer changes his mind, saying it’s the perfect time to set the record straight. Lexie whispers to Jen that she wouldn’t miss this for the world and comes in too. Jack wraps up telling the viewers to put about 30 packets of catsup in some boiling water for a lovely tomato bisque. Jack sees Jen walking Palmer in and now fully collected, says they’re going to commercial and will return for a very special guest. Jen introduces DA Carson Palmer and Jack offers him coffee, tea or catsup (LOL). Jen and Jack waste no time mentioning Maria and Vin Ramsel and hope they’ll be prosecuted. Palmer promises to do that. Jack asks if Palmer knew about Maria’s record when he was seen dining with her recently. Jack and Jen tell him they know the full story. Jack tells him on the air that they know he and Vin Ramsel are in cahoots and voila,.in walks Abe and arrests Palmer on the air. J&J high five each other as the Brady’s watch while eating an early dinner (see below…but it says 4:20 on J&J’s grandfather clock). Abe has the officers handcuff Palmer as he tells him his Miranda rights on the air.
BASIC BLACK
John’s Office
Brady arrives to tell John about his new job at Titan. Kate leaves when Brady arrives. Brady thanks his dad for giving him the time off to be with Chloe after he begged him for a job. He really feels bad about doing this, but quits. He tells John how he helped Chloe make her list of things she wanted to do and it got him thinking about his own life. Beyond the superficial perks of his job at Basic Black, he hates his job. John knew it was just a learning experience, not a career there anyway and hopes he has a plan. He asks if Brady’s going back to school. Brady tells him no, he’s going to work for Victor at Titan. John tells him no, he’s not. He tells his father he’s given this a lot of thought and told his grandfather what he would and wouldn’t do. He realizes Titan’s not totally legit, but reminds John about his dealings with Stefano and Tony. He asks John to trust him and he won’t get his hands dirty. He asks John for his blessing. John slaps his arm and wishes him luck. Brady tells him about starting a music division. John knows this is Brady’s dream job as Brady goes on about maybe getting Chloe under contract and nurturing other new talent. The Blue Note’s up for sale too. He asks how things are for John and the wonder twins. He hopes Marlena has an easier time with them then she did with him. John tells Brady he’s proud of him and knows his mother would be too.
Kate’s Office
After leaving John’s office to let him and Brady talk, she runs into a distraught Belle in the outer office. Kate tells her John’s busy talking to Brady, but invites her into her own office. Belle pouts, feeling like she’s always in line behind her sibs to talk to her parents. Sniff sniff. Kate pours her some miracle Salem water and remembers how tough a little girl Belle was. Feeling her problems are trivial to Chloe’s, Belle still vents to Kate about her feelings of insecurity. We see another day of the week panties conversation flashback (groan) as she moans about what she had done. She actually tells Kate it’s about her panties as Kate looks confused. She suggests Belle talk to Marlena, but Belle figures she’s busy enough and needs at least one normal child. Kate tells her she use to be an advice editor and suggests Belle tell her what’s wrong and she’ll give it a go. Belle moans about her life being so chaotic right now as she’s preparing for her future. She goes on about how Shawn responsible and trustworthy with everyone but himself..how he runs around half naked with girls at away baseball games. Kate asks if Belle’s maybe outgrown Shawn.
Belle tells Kate how she’s bouncing back and forth whether to get back together with Shawn. She needs something else besides school to balance her life and Kate gets an idea. Commenting how days of the week underwear are hard to find, Belle agrees how hard it was to find them. Calling it a retro fad, Kate asks Belle to help her research underwear trends for Basic Black. Kate has the perfect opportunity for her.
They go to John’s office and Kate introduces their newest employee. Belle tells John that Kate offered her an internship job for the summer. John’s delighted and hugs both his kids as Brady feels better that one of his kids will be working there now. John nods to Kate and smiles.
LEXIE AND THE DA Lexie arrives to Carson Palmer’s office to see him. He invites her in but gets a call from his female officer contact in the detective’s office about Vin Ramsel’s arrest. He rushes off, apologizing to Lexie.
COP SHOP
A surprised Shawn arrives to see Bo and surprised to find his mom there. She tells him for once there’s some good news. Bo made a big drug bust. Bo hauls a mouthy Vin Ramsel into the detective’s area and puts him in a chair with everyone watching. Ramsel’s confident people will take care of him. Abe figures it’s a good idea to let Ramsel sweat a little, so Bo helps Ramsel up out of his chair (by the scruff of his tshirt) and tells him he’s going to sit in a jail cell for a few hours to contemplate his miserable existence before he goes on record. He turns his face and Ramsel head butts Bo’s head. Bo whips around and punches Ramsel’s face and slams him down on the desk in front of everyone, incl. Bo, Shawn and Carson Palmer as he tells him he’s playing by his rules now as he turns him over to the officers who take him to the cells. Carson Palmer claps as they all stare at him. Bo asks if Ramsel will ever see jail time. Palmer said it depends if Bo followed the law. Abe tells Palmer he owes Bo a thank you for catching Salem’s most dangerous criminal, not a reproach. Palmer slithers out and Lexie catches him in the hallway. She tells him she knows he’s in a lot of trouble and she may be the only person who can help him. Color Palmer confused. Lexie tells him she heard J&J were starting a tv show today and going to talk about Vin Ramsel. She’s worried they’ll expose confidential information which will cause the case to be thrown out. Palmer appreciates the tip, but asks why Lexie’s telling him. Saying she’s about to have a baby and wants the world a safer place, why wouldn’t she? She’s known him since they went to high school together, why wouldn’t she tell him? She knows a short cut and will drive him over there.
TUSCANY
We find Bo, Hope, Zack and Shawn at Tuscany eating together at the same table she left earlier. (way cool and about time!!!) Bo tells them about Jack and Jen’s tv show going Live today and with a special guest. Hope comments on Shawn’s being quiet, but he just says he’s tired. She suggests he call Belle and invite her to join them, but he nixes that idea. Maggie turns on the tv (wonder if other customers who dine there to get away from the tv are as happy about it, especially since they hear but don’t see the tv.) Maggie turns the loud commercial down (atta girl!!) as Shawn wonders if they’re just going to talk catsup every day. Hope rationalizes J&J know how things are in the world and just trying to make people laugh. We return to them after Abe’s arrested Palmer and Bo said he wouldn’t have missed this for anything as the previews for Wednesday roll….
Chloe’s out of isolation now. Brady tells her it won’t be long before they have to say goodbye.
Kate tells Roman he’s a coward when it comes to his feelings. Why doesn’t he go back to the station, his real life.
Gran asks Shawn if he thinks his generation invented sex. Shawn’s embarrassed.
Rex tells a microphone that it’s no coincidence his name means King.

Episode #9535
Tape date – 3/19/03
Director – Phil Sogard
Summary: Jennifer prepares for their new TV show with an unaware Jack…Bo forces Maria to crack as Palmer’s house of cards tumbles…the Salem PD flushes out Vin Ramsel (with the help of Hope and Tony)…Tony and Kate have a mysterious “date”.
The Jack and Jennifer Show…
Jack arrives home as Jennifer is busy scribbling on papers. (She has a short curly do that looks really nice on her). She hides them from him as he informs her that he has been to the Police Department and then to the Spectator to resign. She stuns him by telling him that she did the same earlier and convinced them that she couldn’t work on the paper and the show at the same time. (Jack says that Vern will run the paper in the interim). They talk about her kidnapping and Jack wants to get away for a while to relax before they begin work on the show. Not so…there is a knock at the door and it is their producer, Ralph, ready to begin work on the show. But Jack gets a call from Bo, who has a plan and needs his assistance. He asks him to put his article on hold for a while and he will call him back later for the exclusive. Jack rushes off, much to the dismay of Ralph, who lets us know that their new show is to go live today. Later, Ralph is having a panic attack because no one knows where Jack is. Jen tries to offer suggestions to cover for Jack’s absence, but Ralph will have none of it…until she suggests they send out a remote crew to cover Jack. Jen rushes to the phone and calls Lexie for a favor. She is more than happy to help out and shows up there a bit later. We hear Jen giving her instructions (we don’t hear) it and she rushes off, excited as Jen gets ready with the hair and makeup girl. Jen yells at everyone to shut up because she is freaking out about going live…just as Jack walks in and hears this and is stunned.
At DiMansion…
Tony summons Bart to the den and shows him a picture of Vin Ramsel (taken with a security camera at the club), but Bart has never seen him. He tells Bart about the guy hiding out (in a hidden room) at Echelon and realizes that one of his employees has betrayed him. He isn’t too happy about it and storms off to handle things.
At Tuscany…
Hope arrives to meet Lexie for lunch. After she arrives late (they joke about her moving slow and not being able to see her feet anymore) they talk about Jen’s kidnapping. Kate is also at Tuscany interviewing a prospective designer for Basic Black. After he leaves, Maggie (looking stunning, as always, in pale yellow) tells her about a news conference about to air and thought she would like to see it. She informs Maggie that she and Roman are over. As Kate goes to leave, Hope and Lexie invite her to join them and Hope tells Lexie about what happened on the police radio. Kate is bitter about all of it and says everytime she shows her vulnerability a man runs. She is cynical about it all and informs them that she is washing her hands of Roman. Maggie tells Hope and Lexie about the press conference and of course, they want to watch. So she wheels out a TV for them to see it as they convince Kate to stay. Lexie spots Tony come in with some lady and he stops by to chat with them. They all watch as the press conference begins with a plea for the citizens to help them apprehend Vin (with Abe showing his picture). Tony realizes it is the same guy he has a picture of. He pulls one of his guys aside and pointing out Hope, instructs him to give her the information to pass on to Bo. He does just that and Hope tells Lexie and Kate she has to go to the police station. She rushes off, with Lexie following. After they leave, Kate has a long series of flashbacks of conversations between her and Roman (yawn) about commitment, etc. Tony comes by and asks what’s wrong. He has an idea to help relive her tension and she is a bit ugly to him. He asks her to let him explain (of course we don’t hear). We later see them in the back of his limo straightening their clothes as Kate agrees that was great. Tony suggests they do it again sometime. (hmmmm)
At the Cop Shop
They get ready for the press conference as Bo rags Roman about Kate’s declaration. Roman is NOT amused and barks at him to back off. Bo thinks that Roman was a bit harsh on Kate, but Roman gets defensive. The TV crew is there pressing them to get started. The camera man tells Bo about an old video tape of Vin Ramsel (where he testified at a trial) and Bo asks for the tape…he has an idea. Later, Bo goes to see Maria and begins to grill her. She is hostile towards him and he convinces her she is in deep trouble and is looking at 15-25 years minimum for kidnapping and attempted murder unless she cooperates and tells them what she knows about Ramsel and Palmer. He plays a cassette tape for her (that he fashioned from sound bites from the video tape) and she thinks that Vin has ratted her out. He assures her that Carson can’t protect her this time. He tells her if she will testify, he will try and cut her a deal. She crumbles and she begins to spill her guts (as Bo calls Jack). Hope and Lexie rush in to the station looking for Bo. Later we see Bo, Roman and Abe all interrogating Maria as she informs them about the connection between Ramsel and Palmer. Bo wants to know what Palmer gets in return for protection and she lets them know he’s in it for the money. Lexie gets her urgent call for help from Jen while at the station and rushes off without telling Hope where she is going, only assuring her that all is okay. She gives Hope a note for Abe and rushes off. Bo assures Maria that she did the right thing and that he will talk to the judge. A cop comes in for Bo (at Hope’s insistence). In the hall, she tells him about the information she has about Echelon. With a kiss, he rushes off with her telling him to be careful. At Echelon, Bo goes into the secret room as Vin is relaxed (with his back to the door) looking at a “PLAYPEN” (LOL) Magazine. Bo walks up and caresses his neck with the gun before snatching him, telling him it’s over for him…AND Palmer. Back at the station, Roman gets a call with the good news that Bo took Ramsel without one shot fired. Abe passes out cigars to celebrate, with even Hope taking one. She says she can’t believe that it’s all over, but Abe says WRONG…the fireworks haven’t even started yet…as the previews for Tuesday roll…
John and Brady argue about his going to work for Titan…
Belle informs her dad that Kate has offered her an internship at Basic Black…
Bo slams some guy down to his desk (Vin Ramsel?), telling him that he is playing by HIS rules now…PUNK!…
A nervous Jack is getting ready for the show as an announcer says “Live…it’s Jack and Jennifer…In the House…”
…and the credits roll.

Episode #9544
Taped: Various
Director – Mary Madieras
Summary: Abe and an injured Celeste worry about Lexie’s disappearance (as she is trapped in a pit)…Brandon ALMOST pops the question to Sami…Cassie rescues Rex….Tony and John square off against the kidnapper AND each other at the gym…as all of Salem continues to shake, rattle & roll!
Brandon and Sami…
are at their resort getaway as he pours the champagne and examines the ring. Sami enters wearing a peach negligee (WOW) as he comments that at least the French did ONE thing right (LOL…you go Brandon). They kiss and toast each other move towards the bed. As they begin to get hot and heavy, his cell phone rings. A distraught Abe is on the other end (see below) looking for Lexie and wants to know if Brandon has spoken with her. Abe fills him about the tremors as the two are quite civil to each other. Brandon tells him that he and Lexie haven’t spoken in quite a while, but promises to have her call Abe if he does hear from her. When he gets off the phone a PO’d Sami asks if he is going to rush off to look for Lexie. He assures a tearful Sami he is going no where. He sits her down and tells her to be quiet, he has something important to ask her. He goes into a monologue about how much he loves her and even though they have had their ups and downs, he wants her in his life forever. Just as he gets ready to pop the question, his cell rings again. She snatches it away from him and answers it. It’s Eugenia at the hospital, telling him about the quake and that there are lots of frightened children there. Dr. Wesley is bringing in all available staff and they need him there. While they are talking another one hits. He assures her he is on his way. He tells Sami his question will have to wait as he rushes off. After he is gone, she flops on the bed and has a tantrum.
At the Hospital…
Abe helps an injured Celeste into the ER as she insists she is okay. (He had gone by looking for Lexie and found her in the floor). Eugenia helps her into a wheelchair as they worry over Lexie. Abe continues to call her cell phone, but there is no answer. We see Lexie lying at the bottom of a pit as the earth shakes and debris falls on her. Later, Eugenia returns Celeste telling Abe that it’s not serious. They continue to worry about Lexie as Abe vows to locate her. Abe gets called to the station, but Celeste wants him to find her daughter, she is having a premonition that something is terribly wrong. As he wheels her out of the ER, he promises to send out a team to find her. Once again we see an unconscious Lexie in the pit with a cut on her face.
Cassie Unties Rex…
as the quake continues. He tries to get her to hurry up, saying he has to stop the tremors. She doesn’t understand and wants an explanation, but he tells her that there isn’t time and rushes off, with her following. Later, we see them in the dark cavern with Cassie chattering away to a very serious Rex. They get to where the laser is as another tremor starts and they huddle in the corner. She wants answers as he tries to explain. But she rants at him telling him that his little experiment almost destroyed everything and everyone. He tells her about the ransom and decides to call Tony and let him know that he is free (see below). He also talks to John who tells him to call Marlena (who is worried sick).
At the Penthouse…
Marlena is a nervous wreck as Belle, Shawn and Mimi arrive to check on her. They try to get her to leave, telling her that they aren’t safe there, but she refuses, telling them that the building is earthquake safe and that these are only tremors. She tells them about the kidnapping. They (especially Mimi) want details, but she has none for them, telling them that John took the ransom call and rushed off. Belle tries to assure her mom that everything will be okay. Shawn thinks they should call the police, but Marlena won’t allow it, sure that John can handle it. (I think she ALMOST spills the beans and blurts out that he is ISA, but doesn’t).
Later, Rex calls and informs Marlena that he is okay and she begins to cry. She tells him that Belle, Shawn and Mimi are all there worried about him and he asks if they are all okay. She invites him over as he tells her that he and Cassie will be right there. Marlena hugs Belle, telling them that it is all over. Marlena suggests having lunch for everyone as Mimi offers to help by making her famous deviled eggs and asks a bewildered Marlena if she has any curry powder (long time fans know that Marlena is NOT known for her culinary skills…LOL) as Marlena asks what does it look like, then asks Mimi to come out to the supposed kitchen (which we NEVER see) and help her. Belle and Shawn sit to talk and tells them to yell if they need her. Belle and Shawn kiss and chat a bit about Belle’s summer job with Basic Black. Rex and Cassie arrive as Marlena rushes out and hugs him. Later, Rex and Cassie explain how she found him and their “connection”. They never knew that they could do that, since they had never been apart. Cassie gets a call from Chaz (with Vin Ramsel urging him on) who wants her to throw a party at the mansion for the premiere of ‘Love is Blind’ and invite all her friends. She tells him that if Shawn and Belle know he will be there they won’t come. So, he tells her not to tell them. After she gets off the phone, she invites them to her party and they accept. Chaz informs Vin that Shawn Brady will be there and he is thrilled. Later, as they are talking about the tremors, Cassie tells everyone that Rex knows what caused them. Rex dodges the issue as Marlena brings in Mimi’s deviled eggs and tells them that the pizza will be ready shortly (frozen, I assume…LOL). Rex begins to scarf down the eggs, smiling at Mimi. Marlena goes to call John as Rex tells her about Tony and John both being at the gym. As she goes for the phone, another tremor hits as the lights flicker and everyone holds on for dear life.
At the Titan Gym…
John calls Ops and leaves a message to call him back as Tony meets up with two of his goons in the hallway, giving them instructions to catch the kidnapper. Ops calls John back from outside and tells him that Marlena had called him. John gets a bit miffed that she did that but Ops defends her actions. John fills him in and tells him that Tony is there as well. Tony ducks into the steam room and when he sees John, asks what the hell he is doing there. John tells him about the kidnapper calling him and asking for the double ransom. Tony finds it hard to believe that John Black would pay money to save a DiMera. John chastises him for not coming alone (as instructed) as bringing alone “Abbott and Costello” (LOL!) Tony is highly offended that John is giving him instructions as how to handle the situation. Around this time, is when Rex calls to let them know he is okay. John snatches the phone out of Tony’s hands, asks Rex for a description of the kidnapper and then tells him to call Marlena. Another tremor hits as the trashcan is knocked over and the bags of money fall out. The kidnapper makes his move as Tony rushes out of the steam room, yelling for his goons to grab him. The kidnapper runs off without the money and is met in the hallway by Ops. Ops and the goons all chase after him as another tremor hits and he gets away. Back in the gym, the patrons want to call the police, but John talks them out of it. Tony retrieves his money and instructs his goons to take it back to the mansion. John tells Tony everything is under control and they begin to argue over each other’s involvement. Outside in the alley, the kidnapper is making his getaway as Ops comes flying up on his bike and the kidnapper pulls a gun on him. John and Tony argue as Tony wants to know why John always has to be the “super hero”. The little bell goes off in John’s head and he says he has it all figured out…that Tony actually hired the kidnapper so HE could end up being the hero and gain favor in Marlena’s eyes. In the alley, Ops does a little fancy stuff on his bike and takes him down and then handcuffs him to the wall. He calls John and fills him in. John tells Tony that they will now find out the truth. They begin to fight and John clocks Tony right in the jaw. As they fight another tremor hits with John falling backward into the sauna and Tony falling and hitting his head on the floor. Barbells roll over in front of the door and a piece of equipment falls over, all blocking the door. We see John struggling to get out…as the previews for the next show roll…
On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…
Kate is yelling out a window to Roman that there is no way out of there. He tells her to trust him, he has a plan…
Abe is saying that he has got to find his wife as we see Lexie (now awake) in the pit moaning and groaning and says “Please God…I can’t be in labor”…
John (in the steam room) yelling at Tony: “Don’t just sit there…get me out of here!” Tony replies with “Give me one good reason why I should”…
As the credits roll.

Episode #9543
Taped: Various
Director – Randy Robbins
The tremors in Salem continue as Kate and Roman have different ideas about their relationship, Victor and Nicole talk about their feelings for each other, Rex’s daddy’s each throw a mil each in a sack and head for the gym as Marlena (and Rex) call for back up of their own.
A realtor shows an empty apartment to Kate, supposedly for Basic Black’s usage. Roman arrives saying it’s a bad idea. He explains how the building is in bad shape and will need a lot of work. He has been looking for her all around town. Defensively she chides him about her ability to assess the building’s condition and explains location and affordability are the key factors for BB. He hopes she doesn’t commit on the spot and she challenges his knowledge on commitment making. He asks for a moment alone and the realtor mentions another appt. and leaves, suggesting Kate take her time and call her later. Roman asks Kate why she left his bed. Frustrated at his interrogation, she tells him to go away. He gets a call on his cell about the earthquake (that he didn’t feel). She tells him she felt it in the elevator coming up, but it doesn’t surprise her that he didn’t feel IT either.
Victor and Nicole ride in the limo to the concert as she wished the earthquake had just swallowed her up. He tells her how he loved her once, which surprises her. He believed she had love and respect for him at one time too. She admits she did and had bought into his lies about a happy marriage. Now he’s bought into a bird in a cage who can dream of being happy or free. Victor has the limo stopped and asks the driver to check the tires just in case. He rationalizes his feelings and being she acted like a whore, he’s treating her like one.
At the cop shop, Abe’s on the phone not believing it was an earthquake. Lexie arrives and Abe’s not happy to see her there. He wants her to go home, concerned about an aftershock. She shines it off, wanting him to have lunch with her. She asks if Carson Palmer will get out on bail like Vin Ramsel did. Abe figures no judge will risk being accused of special treatment by letting Palmer out, but IF he does get out, he wants a guard on Lexie. She’s not worried as she’s known Carson since she was 13 and doubts he’d go after her. She leaves to take a walk and enjoy the spring weather and the cherry blossoms. She’ll see him at home. An officer walks in about how the switchboard is loaded about the earthquake. Later Abe has a meeting in his office about where most of the calls are coming from and how they should handle the panic. Roman arrives, not happy to be there on his day off to hand hold the public. Abe tells him about the quake, questioning why Roman didn’t feel it. Roman explains he must have been driving and didn’t feel the quake. Abe gets a call and Roman’s mind wanders as he looks out the window to the outer office
