Episode #9786
Tape date – 3/17/04
Director – Herb Stein
Summary: The entire show takes place at the hospital…as Jen fights to save her baby…Shawn proposes to Belle, but doesn’t get the results he had hoped…as Belle finally confesses to him…Family and friends argue over Marlena’s innocence…as Marlena makes a startling statement. Sorry this is brief, but it will probably be that way from now on….I guess it’s better than nothing.
Jennifer…is checked over and Lexie suggests an ultrasound. Hope is with her but leaves to find out details about Marlena. Jen keeps having bouts of cramping as Lexie thinks she is in labor and on the verge of miscarrying. Lexie tells her of some medication, but it is risky. Jen wants to try anything to save her baby. Later, Julie visits with her and reminds her that neither she and Doug nor Mickey and Maggie had biological children, but their lives were fulfilled. She reminds her that she and Jack DO have a child, Abby…and doesn’t want to see Abby lose her mother. Julie brings Abby in as she and Jen hug and cry together. Later, Abby is in the chapel, praying for her mom and lights a candle. She is joined by Mickey and Julie. Later, Abby is with Jen again, who swears she is fine, all thanks to Abby. Julie and Mickey take Abby to the cafeteria and after they leave, Jen begins cramping again and yells for Lexie. Lexie tells her that she has conferred with Dr. Bader…and they are all sorry but fear she is losing the baby…as Jen cries.
Up on the Roof…Shawn proposes to Belle, as she says she doesn’t deserve to be happy. She starts her whining about her mom and starts to tell him the truth, but a nurse rushes up and tells them that her mom is awake.
In the waiting area…Bo learns that Marlena is awake, so he, Hope and John go in to see her. (Sami is already in there). Sami is pleading with her to tell the truth as Marlena says she is innocent. John tells her that he loves her and will get her help. She stares at him as her monitors begin going crazy and Sami begins yelling for help. Shawn and Belle arrive as Belle freaks out. Everyone goes to the lobby as John hugs Belle and asks Shawn to take her home to rest, Marlena is now sedated. Sami is still ranting about her mom’s innocence and how John is the killer. The doctor joins them as Bo still wants to question her, but he says it would kill her. Bo says it would just do everyone a favor. This infuriates John and they get into it, being broken up by Hope. Sami points out that Marlena’s confession was ONLY to John and she thinks he is lying. Bo finally tells Sami to shut up (thank you Bo) and calls her Salem’s biggest liar. But she keeps on as John tells them that she (Sami) tried to shoot him earlier. She says she would do anything to protect her mom from him. John wants to have a psychiatric evaluation for Marlena, but Sami says it is HE that needs one…that and a lie detector test. But then she says he will know how to beat it. Hope and Sami argue, with Hope telling her she can’t have it both ways. (Lots of yelling and arguing going on here…giving me a headache, actually). John tells them that he has called someone to minister to them. Sami screams that her mother is not possessed again, but Hope considers it. Father Jansen arrives as we see Marlena through the window jerking around in her bed. She is dreaming about the tiger attacking her and she jumps straight up in bed.
Shawn and Belle…go back to the roof as he tries to convince Belle to say yes. He says she is his future and that he will love her forever. He takes out the wool ring and tells her the story behind it. But in tears, she tells him no and that she has something to tell him….something awful. In tears, she finally tells him the truth about lying to him about her mother’s alibi. At first he doesn’t want to believe her and then begins yelling at her as she cries harder. Finally, he storms off, telling her it is over. She follows him inside the hospital and wants to talk to him about it. She tries to explain that she only wanted to protect her mother, but he tells her they will never be the same and storms into the chapel, leaving her alone, crying in the hallway.
Back in Marlena’s room…Later, they are all around her bed as Father jansen prays and puts Holy water on her forehead. He says that she has been sedated, there is no way to tell. Bo, Hope and Father Jansen leave as Sami and John see her reach up and wipe her forehead. Later, she comes to and stares at John. He asks her if she remembers anything and she says “I’m sorry…I’m so sorry”. Bo asks her what she means as Sami tells her to keep quiet. (Why does it seem like Sami is controlling this whole situation???) Marlena says she should have done something…all those people died because of her. They ask her what happened on her terrace. She tells them that John was trying to get her to confess to the killings and she remembers something about his gun and then he pushed her….he pushed her off the balcony. John is in shock as everyone stares at each other…and the previews show…
On the next DAYS OF OURL IVES…
Shawn and Belle are arguing as he names off all the people that were murdered because of her mother…
Brady and Nicole are staring at each other…
Marlena says “John is the serial killer” as he looks shocked…
Hope (to Bo) I don’t’ think we have a choice…we have to arrest John Black…
…and the credits roll…

Episode #9787
Tape date – 3/17/04
Director – Roger Inman
Summary: The long night in Salem continues as we find our nocturnal residents bathing or at the hospital. Jan lurks as Shawn and Belle argue in the chapel while Marlena accuses John of being the serial killer and trying to kill her. Nicole learns Marlena's very much alive, Patrick helps Jen, and Bo won't let even Hope rush him into any arrests.
We find Nicole lounging in a bubble bath (well, if nothing else, our remaining Salemites are clean) listening to soft jazz on her cd player sitting on the edge of the tub. A shadow walks in her path and she opens her eyes to see a gloved Brady, holding the player menacingly over the tub. She tells him to put it down and stop scarying her. He asks if she learned anythingafter his grandfather's death (not to mention Jan's almost offing Belle the same way). He just got home and surprised to see she's still there. She tells him she decided to stay and almost chokes on her martini when he advises her that Marlena didn't go splat on the pavement after all (her terminology) and is very much alive. She asks him to leave so she can get out of the tub, but stands up with bubbles clinging as he stares. She intentionally drops her towel that he hands her. He walks out saying he's not interested in her naked body and only came home to shower and change and go back to the hospital to be with his dad (I swear, they're clean freaks). She claimed to be just cheering him up and says it must give him some comfort that they caught the person who killed his grandfather. He advises her they don't think the SK killed Victor, they think it was her. She follows him into his room and he tells her Bo is on his way over there right now (he is?) and wants to question her and whomever her accomplice was. Nicole pictures herself in the infamous Sharon Stone interrogation scene (short skirt, no panties) with her legs crossed as Bo interrogates her like Bogart. He stares at her short skirt riding up as she calls him on it, asking if he sees anything he likes. Back to reality she smirks, but fears Jan (aka the little nitwit) will crack under pressure. Back to her fantasy as Jan confesses before even sitting down. She dashes back to her room and finds a message on her cellphone. Jan left her a message of 911!!!!! at the hospital now. The pda falls on the floor with her towel as she rushes to get dressed.
At the hospital, Belle found Shawn outside the chapel door and tries to justify why she lied to him. He tells her nothing will ever be the same. He reminds her that her lie cost his great grandmother her life. She continues how she can't believe it's true, her mom is the nicest person she knows. He lists off all the family members he's lost to the SK and Belle finally admits it's her fault Mrs. Horton died. A mystery masked nurse walks in the chapel and sits down in the back row as they sit in the front row and softly talk. Belle pleads with Shawn to tell her everything will be okay and they'll work on it together. He can't. She turns and looks at the nurse and says, “Oh my God, I can't believe it.” She checks on the nurse (Jan) who is silently weeping in her arm, waving her off. Shawn tells Belle it's too late now, Gran's gone and dashes out. Belle rushes out the opposite direction. Nicole wanders down the hall and spots Jan in the nurses garb immediately as they go back in the chapel. She asks what mess Jan's got them into now. Jan says they're about to get everything they've ever wanted. She's about to get Shawn and Nicole can have her file back when she does. Nicole tells her about Marlena still being alive. She needs Jan's serious reassurance to keep her cool.
Patrick comes to the hospital to check on Jen. The nurse refuses to tell him anything when he says he's not a relative. Lexie, Salem's multi specialized doctor/coroner, sadly advises Jennifer they have to terminate the pregnancy (get a second opinion Jen!!) Poor Jen weeps. A weeping Lexie leaves Jen's room and tells Patrick she has to arrange the procedure and track down the family. (we don't see Mickey or Julie there, guess they went home to be with Doug?) She asks Patrick to sit with Jen until she finds them. He agrees and sees Jen looking up, asking if there's something that can be done. Patrick asks if she trusts him and she says yes, he saved her baby before. He has her hold his coin and concentrate on her love with Jack, saying it's mind over matter. Later Lexie walks in and sees Jen asleep. She tells him they have to start the procedure as he asks her not to do it. Jen wakes up, saying it was the most peaceful sleep she's had in a long time (no one has slept in Salem for a long time, it's no wonder). Jen asks Lexie to check on the baby again and Lexie does an ultrasound and is amazed. Nothing is wrong and the baby is not in distress and the contractions have stopped. She figures the magnesium sulfate must have kicked in. Jen tells Lexie it was Patrick who helped (magic coin?). She asks to see Patrick and he comes in to find Jennifer sitting up smiling. He hugs her as she thanks him. He tells her it was all her and maybe a little Jack as they both look up. (sweet moment, we all deserved one)
Kate and Philip are still at the hospital, shocked at Alice's murder. He's worried about Belle now that her mom is the alledged killer and Kate suggests he find and comfort Belle.
Marlena says John pushed her off the balcony and she's innocent. That's all it takes to set off Sami again as Lucas, Bo and Hope don't know who to believe. Bo is torn with the conflicting statements of John and Marlena. Lucas holds Sami back as she insists John get out of there. Of course Marlena agrees (didn't the doctor warn them about too much excitement and what it could do?) John says he'll be back and Sami tells him like hell he will. Sami asks if she can have a moment alone with her mom and they all leave (oh yeah, right..) as Sami bends over and promises to take care of her mom as Marlena strokes her head.
Kate makes a snide comment about Sami and Lucas goes to get some tea while Philip goes to call and check on poor Belle. Philip sees a nurse and thinks he recognizes her. A nurse Keller is paged to OR stat and she mumbles “gotta run” and splits. Kate and John talk about Marlena's saying she's innocent and he tried to kill her. Father Jansen couldn't assess if she's possessed being she wasn't fully conscious.
Back at the Kirikas mansion, Brady comes out of his shower wearing a towel and drying off with one. He calls out for Nicole when he sees she's gone (heck, she's talking to Jan already at the hospital...LOL).
Belle rushes by Philip after leaving the chapel. He stops her and hugs her after she told him she lied to Shawn and now has lost him for good.
Lucas and Kate talk about if Marlena's really capable of all those murders. Kate thinks Marlena is capable of that and much more.
Hope tells Bo she fells that they have to arrest John Black for attempted murder. She tells him this may be the most important thing they've ever done and asks him if they should arrest John (Salem's finest, huh?) Marlena staggers out of her room and says John is the serial killer and faints in the cops arms. (John's alibi's must be proof enough for people keeping track of stuff like that...but I digress). Sami watches Marlena settled back in her bed and rants at Uncle Bo that she'll call the commissioner herself if he doesn't arrest John now. Bo and Hope walk off as John tells Sami she'll mark the day she realizes how wrong she is and he's done nothing but love her and her mother. Shawn storms in past them as Hope reminds Bo that Marlena identified her attacker. Shawn tells Hope that Belle had lied about being with her mom when Doug was attacked. (Man, Hope has such strength to deal with all this after Gran was just murdered and her father's still lying in Gran's living room after his wake earlier that night..I'd be a blubbering fool myself) Hope again pushes Bo to arrest John. She encourages him as Acting Commander to do something and he tells her bluntly it's HIS call and she can either accept that or not. John watches Marlena through the glass window as she looks back out at him...
as the previews for the next DOOL roll....
Sami holds Will shoulders as they talk to Lucas. Will tells Lucas he doesn't know what he'd do if he lost his mom. Lucas looks into Sami's face saying he feels the same way and doesn't know what he'd do if he lost her either....
Shawn tells his parents you can't have a relationship without trust and that he doesn't know if he'll ever be able to trust Belle ever again...
Philip tells Belle that Shawn loves her, but she tells Philip she's lost Shawn for good...
Celeste visits Marlena and says “she's innocent”..
Lexie grabs John's arm as he starts to leave, asking where he's going. John says he knows who the killer is as we see Marlena's eyes still closed, but mouth smiling a little...
as the credits roll...

Episode #9788
Taped 3/19/04
Director – Phil Sogard
A “don’t worry if you miss it” episode, yawwwn, as another of Salem’s endless nights continues, along with recycled conversations. Philip visits Belle, Shawn goes to stay w/his parents, Lucas stays w/Sami while Celeste goes to visit Marlena.
BO & HOPE are at home, with Hope saying she has checked on Zack – he is playing w/his toys (rather late for that kid to be up, wouldn’t you say?). Bo tells her that Tek checked Alice’s phone records, & they verify John’s story of Alice calling him. Hope wonders why Gran did not call her, but Bo says she did, Tek called and played Alice’s message on their answering machine. He proceeds to play Alice’s call to Hope at the police station. Hope is upset. Shawn arrives wanting to spend the night. Bo & Hope explain that Marlena may not be guilty, there is only lots of circumstantial evidence, and that tho John claims she confessed, Sami claims John pushed Marlena off the balcony. Hope urges him to go home and face Belle, reminding him of when he lied about being father of Jan’s baby. Shawn leaves, Hope bemoans Gran’s death. Bo comforts her, they embrace, kiss, & he picks her up and carries her upstairs.
BELLE PACES HER APT, picking up Shawn’s shirt, missing him. A knock at the door reveals Philip, bringing Chinese food. She’s not in the mood, wants him to leave, but he stays. He insists they eat, & wants tea to go w/the Chinese food. Belle moans about Shawn. He reminds her of when Shawn lied about Jan. They argue. (ho-hum!), then remininesce about old times – the Blind Date show, Last Blast dance, etc. etc. Phil comforts her, they open the food, he turns on some peppy music, and they begin talking and laughing of their very young days growing up together, & pranks they played. And you will never guess who arrives out in the hall just then (she says, voice dripping with sarcasm, lol). Yep, ol Shawn, who hears the music, giggling, laughter, & knocks at the door. No one hears him, so he uses his key to open it, seeing …what else……Belle & Philip in an embrace. (Sorry, but this is getting as old as Nicole constantly dropping her towel in front of Brady!)
SAMI, LUCAS & WILL arrive home. Lucas knows Will saw on the news (WHAT is this child still doing up, watching the news at this hour?) about Gramma Marlena. When Will says he cannot believe his grandmother is the serial killer, Sami denies it, telling him to never say that again. Will mentions Lucas saving Sami’s life tonight……and she thanks Lucas. Will then mentions it wasn’t the lst time, reminding them of how Lucas saved her from the tiger (hey, did they ever FIND Horton, or is he still wandering around in the woods?). Sami thanks Lucas again, and they send Will to bed, as it is late. (Ya think?) Sami says she is going to bed, too, and leaves the room, but when she comes out, Lucas is there with warm milk & honey. He goes to leave, but she stops him, wanting him to stay, so she won’t be alone. In the bedroom, Lucas strips, gets in bed w/her, and holds Sami, as they talk quietly.
JOHN IS AT MARLENA’S BEDSIDE, holding her hand, when Lexie comes in w/Celeste. (Jeez, no regular visiting hours at the hospital, huh?) John is puzzled as to why Marlena lied about confessing, & Celeste suggests a way to get her to tell the truth. She has powers, and if she could just touch Marlena, she could know if Marlena is the killer or not. John says NO, then beats himself up over the whole situation, wishing he had been the one to go over the balcony. Lexie reminds him of all the deaths that have occurred, of the fact that it is her anniversary today and no Abe with whom to celebrate. But John says the woman he married is still in there somewhere, and he still loves her. They all argue, and John finally agrees. Celeste puts her hand over Marlena’s (Marlena is evidently sleeping thru all of this)….and then jumps up gasping….”Marlena is innocent”. (O.K…as someone wrote me….and I quote, “Why doesn’t Miss Psychic Smarty Pants just go around town, and touch everyone in Salem?” LOL, truer words, lolol) John & Lexie stare at her in disbelief, and wonder, then WHO is the killer? John realizes something, claims he has figured it out now, know who the killer is, and is going to bring them in. The camera moves to Marlena’s sleeping face, with a slight smile on her lips. and on the next Days of our Lives, the previews show…….

Episode #9789
Taped various
Director – Phil Sogard
Summary: Bo and Hope spend an evening together…Mimi works to get Shawn and Bell back together…Julie is attacked, but not by the killer…Celeste is a bit uneasy about Patrick…Bonnie has a fantasy about “Good Little Girls” that includes the country group ‘Blue County’.(For those of you who don’t know, Blue County is Scott Reeves band, Melissa (Jen) Reeves’ husband.
At the Loft…Shawn walks in and sees Philip and Belle hugging but leaves. Belle fears that she may have lost Shawn forever as Philip hugs her. Outside, Shawn thinks it is time to move on. He almost goes back in but leaves. Inside, Philip tries to ease Belle’s mind but she is worried about her mom and dad too. He tries to get her to eat, even though she isn’t hungry. Later, after they have eaten (doesn’t look like Belle even touched hers) Philip has a surprise…a fortune cookie. She opens hers to read “You are loved by 2 but only 1 can have you” and she thinks it is talking about her mom and dad. He tells her that maybe she has a secret admirer. She whines that she doesn’t even admire herself right now. Mimi calls and tells her that Shawn is at the bar (see below) and wants her to come down there. She doesn’t want to, but Mimi talks to Philip who promises to get her there. As she gets her coat, he opens his fortune cookie and she wants to know what it says. He tells her that it says “Love is yours for the taking”. She says all they need to do is find the perfect girl for him as he smiles.
At Jennifer’s house…Julie is busy cleaning and finds a invitation to the grand opening of Alice’s Bar, swearing that she won’t get away with it. She hears a noise and thinking it’s Jennifer, opens the door…and screams.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Jennifer (in a wheelchair) is ready to go home. Lexie and Celeste offer to drive her but Patrick has offered as well. There is an odd look from Celeste as she meets Patrick and shakes his hand. Lexie tells Jen that she is going along and going to stay with her for a while. They tell Jennifer that Marlena is not the killer, which relieves her. Color Patrick confused as they explain Celest’s “gift” to him. They also tell them that John claims to know who the killer is and has gone to bring her in.
They all arrive at Jen’s to find the front door open. They go inside to find Julie out cold on the floor as Celeste fears it’s happening again. Lexie checks her and announces that her pulse is strong and that there is no blood. They think that she may have been overcome by cleaning fumes and fainted. She comes to, arms flailing, in a panic and explains to them that she opened the door to be attacked by bats (as we see in a flashback). Celeste feels that it is an omen. They tell her about how Celeste feels that Marlena is innocent and Julie is relieved to think that she wasn’t responsible for Doug’s murder. Julie says that she was attacked by bats because Jen’s house isn’t clean and goes off on Bonnie. They help Julie up as Jen tells her how Patrick helped her at the hospital…but Julie isn’t impressed.
Later, Jen is explaining about the coin to Julie, who in turn (sarcastically) thinks maybe Celeste should read his cards. Celeste is all for it, but Patrick wants no part of it…he is not a believer in such things. Julie, claiming she feels better, is going by to check on Mickey and thanks them for their help and concern. On her way out, she picks up the invitation to the bar and snarls. Celeste continues to star at Patrick, unnerving him a bit. She says she is getting a vibe about him and asks to see the coin. Celeste is interested in since she traveled the world with Stefano and has seen other such things and is only interested in it. She explains to a surprised Patrick that she was Stefano’s “assistant and companion” and that Lexie is their daughter. He claims that he can’t find it and may have lost it. He excuses himself, but once outside, he pulls the coin from his pocket and stares at it. Lexie sees that something is bothering her asks Celeste what is wrong. She has a feeling about Patrick and says she intends to find out what it is.
At Alice’s Bar…Bonnie is busy watching (and lusting after) the guys work as Mimi and Rex arrive outside to see what she is up to. They talk about Belle and Shawn. Mimi hopes that they can work out their problems but Rex is more worried about impressing Bonnie. They go in to find her being cheered on by the guys as she rides the mechanical bull. One of the guys cranks it up and she is thrown off, to be caught by Rex. Mimi just rolls her eyes, saying that Maggie Horton must be spinning in her grave. Mimi does NOT approve, but Rex thinks it is fun. Rex goes to help out as Mimi and Bonnie talk about Belle and Marlena. Bonnie wants Meems to put in a good word for her to John so maybe she can clean Marlena’s closets since it looks like she will be heading to death row (geez, does she never let up?) Mimi is disgusted with her mom as she sees Shawn arrive and goes to talk to him. He tells her and Rex about Belle’s lie. They all go outside as Mimi defends her friend and wants them to work things out. She asks Shawn if he still loves Belle (which he admits her does). Shawn goes back inside to help out as Mimi wonders how she can help. She tells Rex that she won’t give up on them (this is when she makes the call for Belle to come down).
Back inside, as Bonnie talks to Shawn, she is watching the workers and her mind drifts. She daydeams into a fantasy starring ‘Blue County’. (If you listen to any country music at all, you will recognize their hot new song “Good Little Girls which they perform. Click on the title for a sample…IF I did that right, lol). In the fantasy, we see Bonnie surrounded by a bunch of bare-chested construction workers dancing. They are joined by Shawn, Rex and Philip as she rips their shirts off as well and they all line dance. As Blue County performs on the stage (Melissa’s husband is the one on the left) Mickey comes in decked out in his cowboy garb and lassos Bonnie. We then see her riding the mechanical bull, with the fantasy ending with Rex lighting her cigarette. (silly, but it is fun…at least the music is good, LOL). She snaps out of it as Shawn asks if she is okay. Mickey arrives and she rushes to him and hugs him. Belle arrives as she and Shawn just stare at each other. Bonnie takes Mickey outside to show him something…a neon sign that reads “Alice’s Bar”…as Julie (who is now in different clothes) walks up and frowns. Mimi tries to get Belle and Shawn and Belle to talk, but he disappears. We see Shawn outside taking off his ring. He says he can never forgive Belle…just as she walks up behind him.
At the Brady House…Bo and Hope are in bed cuddling as they talk about all that is going on. She is sad about her dad and “gran” and points out that they were attacked as well, but were spared. She worries about Belle and Shawn, hoping they can work things out. She still doesn’t believe that Marlena could be the killer. Later, after Hope checks on Zack, they sit on the bed as he massages her back. They talk some more about Belle and Shawn and Hope talks about how she believes that they belong together and are soul mates like she and Bo. She has a flashback of when they were kids and they kiss. She talks about how she feels that Shawn and Belle have been in love forever as she and Bo get into a pillow fight and end up kissing. Bo gets a call from John…who tells him that he wants them to meet him at the hospital…he is bringing the killer in…as the previews show…
On the Next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…
Bo (to Hope): I will do whatever I have to to make sure that this monster never kills again…
Jennifer (to Patrick): Are you my guardian angel?…
John (talking to someone who is tied up): You almost got away with it…in fact, Marlena even confessed to your crimes…
Shawn (to Belle): Your mom is innocent…John found out who the real murderer is and he is bringing her in right now…
And the credits roll…

Episode #9790
Taped: 3/24/04
Director – Albert Alarr
Summary: Another long night in Salem continues as Jen finally gets some sleep after being thankful for Patrick coming into their lives, Julie and Mickey have a heart to heart about Tuscany going country, John informs Bo about bringing the real killer to the hospital making Shawn and Belle a couple again, much to Philip's dismay.
Jen's sleeping on the couch, dreaming about how Patrick's coin saved her baby (she sure isn't showing much for as far along as she must be). She sees a shadow in her doorway and asks if that's Jack, if he came back to her. Patrick turns on the light, saying he was on his way to the kitchen for another cupcake. She explains dreaming about Jack and he figures it's only natural after all she'd gone through, to dream her guardian angel had come to her. She asks if he's her guardian angel. He tells her she saved her baby by determination and love, not him. She's glad he woke her up as Abby should be home any minute from Jo and Verns and wound up (in the middle of the night?). He offers to make her a cup of warm milk with a dash of vanilla in it and she's surprised as that's what Jack use to make for her. He said his mother made it for him when he was a kid and like all of us, she's surprised to hear that. He said that and tv dinners was about all his mother made. She apologizes for Julie's earlier comment about his mother and he understands. Abby rushes in saying she beat Vern at video games (guess he just dropped her off and didn't come in) . Jen reports she and the baby are fine. Patrick watches them hug and looking at his coin, to himself says he can't go through with this. He can't hurt Jennifer or her family. He leaves for her to go back to sleep and she looks up, thanking Jack for sending Patrick to them.
In the Brady bedroom, Hope comes out in her pretty yellow robe after taking a shower. Before shirtless Bo follows suit, they talk about John taking it upon himself to catch the killer. He wants to make sure it's done by the book and reminds her that John's not even a cop. Calling him on sounding like Abe and Roman, he promises to make sure the murderer goes to the death chamber and goes to take a shower. Later they're getting dressed and she calls Shawn to tell him what's going on as Bo said he'll call a sitter (in the middle of the night?). First she tells him she loves him and kisses him.
Lucas and Sami both wake up at the same time and silently move in for a kiss. She asks him to make love to her and he thought she'd never ask. He tells her that he loves her and she tells him the same and that he's the only man she's ever loved and it's always been him as they kiss away. The phone rings and we see it was just Sami's dream as she wakes up to see Lucas asleep, lying facing her. It's Hope saying there's an update on John. Of course Sami rattles she wants him arrested, but Hope stops her and tells her about John's report about proving Marlena innocent and finding the real killer. He's bringing her to the hospital now (now why is she calling Sami in the middle of the night to tell her this, knowing what a scene it will cause when John does so...and why doesn't he take the real killer to the police station instead??
. Back at the bar, a replay of Bonnie surprising Mickey with her Alice's sign as he hugs and kisses her in front of Julie. Julie asks how can they? Mickey asks for a moment alone and Bonnie pretends to go inside, but lurks in the bushes. Julie tells him she appreciates the honor to name a restaurant after Grandma, but it's an insult to Maggie's memory after she established such an elegant restaurant. Mickey won't stand for Julie to talk badly about Bonnie. She figures Maggie would be doing back flips in her grave if she knew what was going on. She asks if Mickey thinks Maggie and Gran would approve? He doesn't know, but he knows they'd want him happy and this and Bonnie makes him happy. Bonnie whispers Bonnie 1, Julie zip, and goes inside to order Rex to do something. Meems pulls her mom aside and hears the same old Shawn-is-better speech. Mimi asks her mom to stop going after sweet old Mr. Horton for his money and to stop trying to tell her to be with. Bonnie privately vows she'll get Mickey and will see that Meems gets Shawn too.
Mickey and Julie continue their discussion. He insists he hasn't lost his mind and they talk about how he first met Maggie. He had amnesia and had a large belt buckle with MH on it and dubbed himself Marty Hansen. He remembers the little place he and Maggie went to that had country music and that Maggie was just a farm girl. He said they often closed Tuscany at night and after locking the door, put on a cd of Country Classics and danced together. Julie reminds him how Maggie use to love to dress up, but he remembers the Maggie Simmons he fell in love with. They had talked about one day closing Tuscany and opening up a small country place like the one they use to go to. He's going to let Bonnie run the place like she wants. Julie vows to watch over them and if Bonnie hurts one hair on his head, she'll bbq her in her own sauce..and they hug.
Mimi and Rex await news of Belle and Shawn. Philip clues her in on how stubborn Shawn is and won't be so easy to forgive Belle after his grandmother died because of it. Outside Shawn tells Belle he does still love her. She apologizes again, not understanding why he's treating her this way. He reminds her how she treated HIM after his lie about Jan's baby and it took her months to finally forgive him. (yeah, we all remember too, ugh) After that they promised to never lie to each other. He thinks about how that lie cost him two people he loved in his life. Her and Gran. They continue to argue about her lie and he mentions how all the lieing and accusations being slung around by her mom, dad and Sami. She insists she's not any of her family members, she's the same girl he's always known and supposedly loved. She notices his purity ring is off his finger and figures he's given up on them already. He gives her back his ring, saying he still loves her. She returns it to him to keep being he says he still loves her. He feels bad for not being there for Gran when he needed her the most and wants to be there for her too...but neither of them can stand the thought of her mom being responsible for killing all those people. Hope calls at this point and tells him about John's news.
Bonnie sees Philip worrying about Belle and Shawn and can tell he wants Belle for himself. She offers him some of the whiskey from her bottomless flask and he accepts as they toast getting what they both want. We return to see more being poured from the flask as Philip wants to help pay for it. She sees his picture of Belle in his wallet and knows he's in love with her. He agrees. Bonnie tells him women gets urges just like men do and encourages him to pursue Belle. He jumps up to do so, but walks out and finds Belle in Shawn's arms. He had just told Belle her mother's innocent and she's relieved to hear that and that she herself is not responsible for his grandmother dying.
Julie walks into the bar, mouth open, and calls it Graceland without the King. Mickey offers to give her a personal tour as Bonnie watches. He asks if she wants to ride the bull and Julie glares at him. Bonnie chugs another swig for courage and jumps in. Knowing how the bull is out of order, she suggests Julie ride it and Mickey joins in. Julie agrees and gets on, reluctantly. Bonnie suggests Mickey man the controls and relieved, Julie likes that idea. He turns it on slow and Julie's okay with that, but it starts going faster as we see a aerial shot of her riding it as it's bucking away (love those stunt people). Mimi and Rex walk in and she comments on the bull being broken. Under her breath, Bonnie tells Julie to enjoy the ride of her life bitch as Mickey moves the dial all over and finally pulls it off (uh, what about UNPLUGGING it?). (Considering Julie passed out just earlier that evening, she shouldn't have even considered riding the bull...geesh)
John is driving a blindfolded and handcuffed woman in his car, telling her that her killing days are over. He can't even believe Marlena confessed to the crimes as well, but he knows his wife couldn't do all those crimes. He rattles off all the people killed as his passenger wrestles with her tied hands and finally whacks him in the head, causing his head to swerve. She chokes him with the tape used to bind her hands and his head falls on the steering wheel and his horn honks away as she tries to open the locked back door (love those kiddie locks). He comes to and pointing a gun at her, says sorry sweetheart, you aren't going anywhere. He retaped her hands (what, no handcuffs in your ISA kit John?) and tells her that her first stop will be to see all the family of her victims and the last stop will be death row. She continues struggling in the back seat.
We find Sami and Lucas getting dressed as they talk about John. He asks her to give his mom and John the benefit of the doubt like she did him and mentions his dream earlier. She asks if he had the same dream she had and he kisses her, asking if this is what happened in her dream. She returns the kiss and they keep kissing. She rushes off to the hospital, saying this isn't the time.
At the hospital John gets off the elevator, leading a woman in red heels, black pants and a cape taped over her head. Bo, Hope, Sami, Lucas, Belle, Philip and Shawn are all there. He says Marlena didn't murder their loved ones, this monster did...as he unveils his prisoner (we don't see her, but it's supposedly Hattie). Everyone is surprised
as the previews for the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES roll....
Julie tells Mimi she's never approved of violence, but that was before her mother...as she goes to strangle Bonnie...
Lucas holds back an upset Sami as she tells him that John admitted he practically railroaded her mother...
Shawn tells Belle that now that they know her mother isn't a killer, they can spend their life together...
Jan cuts out Belle's face out of a picture of Shawn and Belle..holding the knife, she didn't want it to go that far, but a girls gotta do what a girl's gotta do....
as the credits roll..

Episode #9791
Taped: 3/25/04
Director – Albert Alarr
Summary: Julie and Bonnie go another round with Julie giving Mickey a choice…Nicole and Brady have a few brief segments (filler?)…but the main attraction is Deidre Hall’s pulling double duty, as she gives a hilarious and delightfully comical turn as nutcase “Hattie Adams”. Also great to see those around playing off of her. LOL!!! A must-see for Deidre Hall fans!
At Alice’s Bar (oh how it pains me to type that)…Mimi is chewing out Bonnie as Julie continues to get slung around on the mechanical bull. Bonnie yells for Julie not to break her bull…it has a weight limit. (LOL) Julie asks WHY the Salem Stalker didn’t kill HER. She ends up getting thrown off as Rex catches her to help break her fall. Bonnie makes fun of her as Mickey and Rex help Julie. Julie tells Mimi that she has never approved of violence, but that was before she met her mother and proceeds to attack Bonnie, choking her. Rex breaks them up as Bonnie and Julie continue to argue. Mimi pulls her mom aside and chews her out. Bonnie gets Julie drink and Julie asks if she would like to WEAR it. Mimi tries to talk to Bonnie again, but she says that she isn’t going to let some “muckity muck” get in her way. Mimi has had enough so she Rex go to leave as she tells her mom to behave. Julie asks Mickey to reconsider calling the place “Alice’s” and calls Bonnie “trash”. She tells Mickey there isn’t room in Salem for both of them…either she leaves or Bonnie…which one will it be? Mickey doesn’t want to lose either of them and wants them to get along. Julie tells him not to hold his breath.
Outside, Mimi apologizes to Rex for her nutty mother and says if she ever turns out like that, to just shoot her. He laughs it off and says even a weird mom is better than what he had and they kiss.
At the Kirakis Mansion…there are a couple brief scenes, (I suspect as filler) where Brady catches Nicole sneaking in and demands to know where she has been. He has her phone and sees her “911” text message and demands to know who she went to meet at the hospital….was it her accomplice? She tries to lie and say she went to visit a friend, but he points out she HAS no friends. He also tells her that Tek came by looking for evidence while she was gone.
At the Hospital… The big reveal in the waiting area is none other than “Hattie Adams” (portrayed this time by Deidre Hall, who does a fabulous job of portraying her sister Andrea, portraying Hattie! LOL). Everyone is shocked to see “Marlena” standing before them (or so they think). They all demand to know who this is. Sami even thinks she is her dead aunt (and namesake) Samantha. Everyone demands an explanation and she says “I am Hattie Adams…who the hell are you?” No one understands until John begins to tell the tale of Hattie and Stefano. He explains that he THOUGHT he saw Marlena in the cemetery and that Alice said that “Marlena” was trying to killer her. But he is convinced they saw Hattie instead. But Sami reminds him that her mom said John was trying to kill her. But Belle defends her dad. Hope asks John how he knew about Hattie and he explains that the Dimeras are responsible. He continues to explain about how Marlena told him of an encounter of her in Salem Place and thought she was her long-dead sister. He thinks that Stefano is responsible because that is him MO…look-alikes and reminds them of Kristen/Susan and Hope/Gina. He reminds them that Stefano was always obsessed with Marlena and couldn’t have her, and maybe he decided to “create” a Marlena. (Be sure to keep your eyes on Deidre…she is hilarious during all this). John tells them that he went to the source and has another surprise for them. He brings in Bart who knows all of them, but they don’t know him. (LOL!) He tells them about working for Stefano and how he has spied on all of them over the years. He tells them the story of how Stefano met Hattie at the Hudson Street Diner and he paid for her to have work done on her face and even had charm lessons on how to walk and talk like a lady, as she gives them a demonstration. He tells them that Stefano had a plan, but he and (long since dead) Rolf didn’t know what it was. He tells them that Mr. D’s final words were for them to complete the transformation. John thinks that Hattie became a loose cannon in the meantime. John found Bart and he told him all about the plan and where to find Hattie. Now Bart is afraid that if Stefano finds out he told, he will kill him. This perks up Lexie’s ears who grabs Bart and DEMANDS to know if her father is still alive. Bart says he just operates on the assumption that Mr. D is alive and reminds them about the Phoenix. Sami yells at Hattie for framing her mother. Hattie tells them that Dr. Marlena isn’t perfect and how she broke Roman’s heart…SHE would have never done that to him. She says that she knew too much about the murder. Lexie asks if she is talking about Abe. Hattie says “Oh, poor Mr. Abe…he was such a good tipper!” (LOL) She starts talking about Roman and that awful Kate and what a terrible waitress she was. She says that poor Roman…first Marlena, then that “hooch” Kate Roberts. Now NO ONE will get him cause he had to die. Sami goes ballistic and rushes toward Hattie to attack her. Hattie protects her face, yelling “Not the nose…not my beautiful nose!” as Lucas and Philip have to hold Sami back. Hattie grabs a doughnut and starts scarfing it down as she puts them all down, going on about what life was like on that fat farm Stefano sent her to. She starts running down Marlena and Belle has had enough and runs out. She is followed by Shawn. (Jan has been lurking around the whole time and follows them. Philip sees her following them so he follows her).
Belle and Shawn go to the roof (followed by Jan, who hides). Philip comes out and tells them that someone was following them, but he didn’t get a good look. After he leaves. Shawn apologizes to Belle and she apologizes for lying to him. He says that the nightmare is over and is relieved. A furious Jan sneaks back inside as they kiss and hug. They talk about Alice and Tom and Belle says that if they have a baby girl someday, she wants to name her Alice. He pulls out the wool rings and tells her that he wants to spend his life with her and that his next proposal will be special.
Jan returns to her house (where ever THAT is) and takes out a file folder with pictures, Victor’s will and a HUGE knife. She looks at a picture of Shawn and Belle (with Belle’s face cut out) saying she didn’t want to do this, but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.
Back in the waiting area…Bo doesn’t understand how both Marlena and Hattie could be walking the streets of Salem and no one ever knew there were two of them. John thinks that somehow that they have been interchanging, explaining Marlena’s strange behavior. Hope asks Hattie if she has anything to say and she starts choking on a doughnut. John does the Heimlich maneuver (as Sami protests) and Hattie spits doughnut all over Sami., then more on Bo as John drags her off. Sami asks how she could have killed 9 people as Hattie barks she should have killed HER too. Lucas has to calm Sami down and tells her that if Marlena is cleared, she owes John an apology. Sami goes to John (teary eyed) and tells him that they should tell her mom the news. They all traipse into Marlena’s room (as Lexie is examining her…Marlena is still unconscious). John goes to her side and apologizes for not believing her. Sami runs out crying as Lucas goes after her and comforts her. Hattie tries to leave, but John stops her, telling her she is only going to jail. She thinks he is kidding and asks if this is some sort of reality show…what does she win? A million dollars??? John says she will win an all-expenses paid trip to death row. She says “Huh?” clearly confused. Bo comes out and starts to read her the Miranda. LOL as he tells her she has the right to remain silent and she spits her gum on him. He continues as she says yes, (talking to John) she has faults as long as his…his…his…arm (ROFL). But she is NOT a liar. It is JOHN that got the bad seed…Marlena is the liar…AND the killer and she can prove it! Cut to Marlena in her bed. Close up of her face with the hockey mask superimposed over it…as the previews show…
On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…
Belle (to Shawn): Tell me you’re not giving up on us…that there is still hope for us to be together…
John: This can’t be true. Sami: No, it’s not true…you can’t let her get away with this…as Hattie says: Back off blondie, I feel a hairball coming up…
Bo (to Hope): We have enough to arrest her and that’s what I am going to do…she will be tried in a court of law and will pay for what she has done…
And the credits roll…

Episode #9792
Taped: 3/26/04
Director – Phil Sogard
Summary: Hattie has a solid alibi for the time the murders went down, Nicole visits Jan at her parents hidden country home and finds out how crazy Jan really is, Belle and Shawn's relationship is in limbo again. (love Deidre as Hattie..well needed humor in the show)
We return to find luni Jan daydreaming about being together with Shawn in her parents hidden country home..her hideaway where her dad use to bring his girlfriends. Nicole calls saying there's trouble and Jan tells her to come there. Nicole arrives and tells Jan no, Marlena hasn't talked about them yet. She tells her that Tek fingerprinted her room and Jan says “oops”, when asked if she has any record where her fingerprints would be on file. She reminds Nicole about the time she put Chloe's picture on the internet when she was 17 and they hope they're sealed being she was a minor. Nicole spots the picture of Shawn and Jan on the mantle. Jan admits having more than the one picture like that she herself made. Nicole asks if the evidence she got of Nicole's is there and Jan agrees, but vows Nicole will never find it. (wouldn't put burning the place down past Nicole) Nicole tells Jan that she needs to leave Salem, but Jan refuses to leave without Shawn. She'd like to live right there with Shawn. She confesses to Nicole that she has a room for Shawn right there in the house. She asks for Nichole's help and said if it was fair, she'd be having Nicole kill Belle for her. Nicole agrees to help with Shawn's room. Nicole is shocked when she walks in Shawn's room. Jan has collected long pieces of iron and tells Nicole that shop was her best subject in high school. The two dress in welder's outfits and masks as Jan lights the welding torch. Nicole hands her the long rods as they construct a home made jail cell for Shawn (good grief). They're fast workers (especially on no sleep) as we see a cell and ceiling of randomly welded bars with a bed in it. Jan's proud that she and Shawn will be like two love birds in it. Nicole mutters to herself that one may be a dove, the other certifiable coocoo.
Belle and Shawn kiss and make up on the roof of the hospital. while downstairs Hattie cackles and Sami tells the “crazy bitch” to shut up. Bo tells Bart to shut up if he doesn't want to join Hattie in jail. She says she didn't kill anyone and had she taken over Marlena's life, would've divorced John and gone after Mr. Roman. He's the only reason she went through all that surgery to look like Marlena, why else would she want to look like that? Bart denies involvement either, saying he was in hiding and zips his lip when Bo glares at him. Hattie has an alibi during the murders. She was in Europe getting her face done. She saw the paper in Europe about Roman's murder and Bart unzips his lip to tell Bo it's true. He was staying at a lodge nearby and they could set him up with blonde, brunette, redhead..whatever. Bo whacks him with a newspaper, LOL, and tells him to write the name of the lodge down to confirm.
Hattie tells them she got an infection (from the surgery she shouts) it was green, runny and smelt funny (ewww). She was hospitalized from Halloween to Thanksgiving and needed another skin graft. Bart taps on Bo's shoulder he has another piece of evidence that proves Hattie's innocence. Hattie gasps and threatens he better dare not go down that road, LOL. Bo's anxious for info and Bart tells him to try decaf. He tells them that Hattie was in jail from Christmas through the night before for shop lifting, so couldn't have killed the last 5 victims. John vows that can't be true, but Sami is sure she is guilty. Hattie's tells snookum (Lexie) she's sorry about Abe's murder. He was a nice guy and good tipper. Bo called and confirmed Hattie was in jail. Bo figures Marlena must be the killer then after hearing John say he saw Marlena in the graveyard and fleeing from Alices, and Marlena's confession, etc. Sami wails NO NO and he brought that floosy in there just to make the case against her mom stick. Hattie protests, saying she's no floosy and still a virgin. Bart says that's more information then he really needed, LOL. Hattie calls Sami on having a baby out of wedlock and warns her to watch who SHE'S calling a floosy. Bo rips off Hattie's tape handcuff and orders her not to leave town. She puts her gum on the counter and takes another bite of donut from the plate of them on the nurse's counter. She realizes it must be the last of Alice's donuts and puts the plate of them under her arm and walks out, saying she could get a bundle for them on eBay (LOL..wouldn't surprise me if they are there). Bart dashes out after her. Bo tells John that Marlena's the killer and Sami starts up with he doesn't love her, he tried to kill her spiel. Bo orders Sami to leave or he'll arrest her for interfering with an investigation. Lucas walks Sami out. John and Belle talk and he tells her true love always wins and Shawn loves her.
Belle joins Shawn on the roof, sad about the disappointing news that Hattie wasn't the SK and it was her mother. She asks him to tell her he hasn't changed his mind about them as he shakes his head. He asks for some time to collect his thoughts and she walks away, thinking there's no hope for them.
Lexie, Bo and Hope return to Marlena's room. Bo's sure Marlena is the killer and it's all based on a lot of circumstantial evidence. Bo says she'll be tried in a court of law and will pay for all she's done. Marlena's still out of it as John takes her hand. Bo steps up and says he's charging her with murder one as he handcuffs her to the bed rail. Marlena wakes up after Bo and Hope left and surprised to find her arm handcuffed to the rail. She asks John why he's doing this to her.
Hope is worried how all this will affect Shawn and Belle. Bo tells Hope he loves her and they hug.
Sami grabs family albums as soon as she gets home and rips John's picture off a picture of Marlena and him. Lucas asks if she's gone crazy. He tries to tell her that John is trying to save, not hurt Marlena. He holds her, knowing she's full of pain and hurt. She breaks down in tears and Lucas tells her that John loves Marlena. He rubs her arm and tells her she can't see love even when it's staring her in the face (as he's doing).
The show closes with a soft country song playing with the lyrics I AM RIGHT HERE (sorry, don't know the female artist or song) as we see John sitting by Marlena's bed holding her hand until she pulls it out of his clasp, Nicole watching Jan prancing around in her jail cell, anxious to have Shawn there. Belle takes a long look at Shawn before leaving as he takes the wool ring out of his pocket and looks at it. Sami is now alone and throws another picture of John in her fire as she weeps and hugs her bear on the couch as Lucas is standing outside her apartment. He decides to leave her alone and goes to his own apartment instead. Bo and Hope hug outside Marlena's hospital room as Marlena watches them...
as the previews for the next DOOL roll. It looks like a new day as most people are dressed for Doug's funeral apparently..
Hope tells Belle if she wants a future with her son, she's going to have to fight for him.
Bo gives Shawn the keys to his motorcycle.
Marlena tells John she needs his help to prove her innocence...
Alice's ghost visits Celeste. She asks if Alice has news and Alice tells her “yes, I do.”
as the credits roll...

Episode #9793
Tape date – March 31, 2004
Director – Roger Inman
Salem finally buries it’s most recent dead, while Marlena protests her innocence, & Shawn announces his future plans. Have tissues at the ready for the last 15-20 minutes of the show.
JAN CARESSES THE BED IN THE CAGE talking about her “prisoner of love”. Nicole tries to reason with her to no avail. Jan goes to change clothes to go the funeral, & Nicole attempts to search the living room. Jan comes out all in black, huge hat with brim that comes down in front of her face and a veil, to which Nicole appropriately remarks will certainly make her unnoticeable. LOL
BO & HOPE ARRIVE TO PICK UP SHAWN for the funeral (Bo has had a haircut and beard trim and looks fabulous!), and inquire about the empty boxes piled up. Shawn says he is leaving town, to which Hope objects, but Bo is sympathetic. Over in Belle’s apt., she is reading the paper about her mom being the Salem Stalker, and tells Mimi she is not going to the funeral. Mimi protests. Hope comes in, encouraging Belle to not only go to the funeral, but to fight for Shawn. (yep, exactly what I would be worried about on the day of my father and grand-mother’s funerals – NOT!) Over in Shawn’s apt. Bo hands his motorcycle keys to Shawn, telling him he remembers the sense of freedom he felt when he left Salem…..and that not all good things happened to him, but it helped him define who he was. Hope returns, protests this, but Shawn is determined.
LEXIE IS TALKING TO CELESTE at the hospital, wondering if the vibes she got from Marlena were right. In her room, Marlena tells John it is all a big mistake, she did not do this. She did not murder all those people. John asks why then did she confess, and even try to kill him on the terrace. She claims to have no memory of any of it. John warns her that unless they find something, she will end up on death row. Marlena asks John to take her to the funeral, she has to say good-bye to these people she loved. Lexie walks in, saying, “over my dead body”. Marlena again claims her innocence, & tells John to leave, so she can examine Marlena. John now talks to Celeste, asking about her vibes…wondering if what she sensed was Marlena’s BELIEF that she was innocent. Marlena cries to Celeste that she needs to pay her respects to the dead, but Lexie thinks she just wants to get out to perhaps kill again. Lex refuses to let her go anywhere. She leaves, & Marlena begs John to help her, saying she can sign herself out, and he can arrange with police. (she is still handcuffed to bed) She cries and pleads with him to help her say her goodbyes to those she loved.
KATE IS PUTTING FLOWERS on Roman’s grave, promising him that his murderer will not lay next to him. Celeste arrives, saying don’t judge too quickly. The dead may yet give up their secrets. Later, Alice appears to Celeste, who asks if Marlena is guilty, if Marlena killed her. Alice replies that she can only say that before the suffering is over, one more death will come to Salem.
MICKEY, JULIE & JEN ARRIVE AT THE CHURCH, with Julie breaking down at the sight of the pictures of Alice & Doug that are up. She says when she lost Doug, she thought the only way she would get thru this would be with Gran at her side. Jen tells of a dream she had of Alice, & says she never would have become the person she is now, without Gran & Grampa taking her in when she came from boarding school. Flashback to a very young Jen, listening to a young Alice telling her how Grandmothers are the best listeners in the world. The three hold on to each other.
Belle & Mimi arrive, with Belle protesting still she should not be there. Mimi reassures her. Philip arrives in full dress uniform (he looks really handsome….but then am a sucker for those uniforms, lol) & joins them. Jen brings Abby in, who protests Belle being there. Jen defends her, saying Belle is not her mother, and we do not judge. Belle wants to leave, but Mimi & Philip won’t let her. We see Shawn uncomfortable with Belle there. Father Jansen comes out and the funeral begins. (I dare any of you to have a dry eye during this time…..) Bo speaks first, talking of how he shared with Mrs. H. and Doug a mutual love for Hope. And we now see a flashback to a younger Alice telling Bo that Roman is not guilty, he is the best cop and she is going to help all she can. He gives her a packet, and she adds the drug to her donut batter, lolol, asking if this is enough. Bless her. He say he became a much better person because of Mrs. H.
Hope speaks next, talking of both her dad & Gran. This flashback goes back to proud Doug (with mustache) telling a pregnant Hope how her mother, Addie, did not know the eye of a needle from a camel’s hump, but spent 6 months, every single day, knitting this blanket for her crib. He saved it, & now is giving it to her for her baby’s crib. Next, another flashback to Gran giving Addie’s earrings to Hope on her wedding day. Alice comments that, tho she took them out when Hope married Larry Welch, she did not give them to her then, knowing in her heart that Hope would one day marry Bo Brady.
Now Jen speaks, looking at the picture of Alice, amd saying that Gran will continue to live on in our hearts today, tomorrow, and all the days of our lives. Flashback to Alice and Tom, sitting on a sofa, and then embracing………and then one of them in formals, (am sure this is on their anniversary) dancing together. (Told you there would not be a dry eye!)
WITH THE SERVICE ENDED , Shawn gets up to go talk to the strange woman in the back in the big hat, introducing himself, thanking her for coming, and asking her name. (Oh, paleeze! ) There is a sudden buzz in the room….as John brings Marlena in. She is in a wheelchair, handcuffed to the arm rest. The murmur of shocked voices are saying the same thing…what is she doing here? The camera freezes on Marlena’s face…… as the previews for the next episode show…….
Philip to Belle – Sorry, but if Shawn loves you so much, he should be here by your side
At the cemetery, Bo says to Marlena….we have solid evidence that you came back to Salem before you said you did……more proof you’re the Salem Stalker
Bonnie, stomping her feet, and in tears, saying why can’t things ever, ever go my way
Shawn, laying flowers on a casket in the cemetery…..I love you so much, Gran

Episode #9794
Tape date – March 31, 2004
Director – Roger Inman
Summary: Marlena and John’s arrival causes problems at the funeral…Shawn follows a mysterious woman…Nicole tries once again to prove her innocence to Brady…Bonnie gets bad news about the bar.
At a Gas Station…Nicole is filling up with gas on her way back and notices she has a flat tire. She hears sirens and begins to panic as Brady walks up asking her what’s wrong. She explains about the flat and he tells her that he was out of town at a meeting and had car trouble himself up the road. He says he will fix her flat if she will give him a lift. Since he is all dressed up he strips so he won’t get all dirty (lol, they’ll use anything to get a guy shirtless, huh?) As he works, they argue about her lies. She promises to tell him the truth and finally admits to burning the model of the opera house. She says she did it because she was jealous of Chloe’s career and the people who love her…Brady in particular. She goes into the “poor me” routine about how rough her life has been and turns on the tears. But Brady refuses to feel sorry for her. She goes on and says that she was lashing out at herself by setting fire to the mode. She whines that she is always the one who gets burned. She swears that she didn’t kill Victor and had nothing to do with it. She tells him there was no accomplice either and if he doesn’t believe her to check her bank accounts to see if she paid anyone off. He did, he tells her an that there was no large sums of money withdrawn. But he insinuates that she paid someone off with sex. She continues to claim her innocence, but he isn’t buying it. She says she was wrong about him as he gets dressed. He tells her that if she conspired to kill Victor, it will come out. He is sure that someone saw them together (as she has flashbacks of Marlena seeing her and Jan together). Brady reminds her that Tek found a new set of fingerprints at the mansion and if she is lying…she is as good as dead.
The Lockharts…Patrick is in an alley with some guy who is threatening him to do what he came to Salem to do. Patrick says that he will NOT hurt Jennifer Deveraux. As they argue, Rex walks up. The other guy leaves, looking at picture of Jen as Rex walks up and he and Patrick finally meet. Meanwhile at Alice’s Bar, Bonnie is praying that the place will be a hit. Some man shows up with bad news for her. It seems that because of her shady past, her application for a liquor license has been denied. She tries flirting with him, but he is having none of that and leaves. Patrick and Rex show up as she is crying and they ask what is wrong. She pitches a fit because things never go her way. Patrick goes to see what is wrong with her, telling Rex that she is always like a “roman candle in a match factory…you never know when she will go off” (LOL). Mimi calls Rex to see why he isn’t at the funeral and he tells her he lost his watch and is at the bar looking for it. She doesn’t like the idea of him being with her mother and she rushes over there. As Patrick talks to his mom, she urges him to make the move on Jen, but he refuses. Later after Mimi arrives, she and Patrick talk about how Bonnie is out to ruin her and Rex’s relationship. They talk about their dysfunctional family and they make a pact to never let ones they care about get involved with their mom. Meanwhile, Bonnie is having a pity party chugging on her flask. Rex asks if he can help and she has an idea. She turns on the charm and asks him if he could help out there at the bar.
At the Funeral…Belle wants to go talk to Shawn, but Philip stops her. Shawn is talking to the mysterious veiled lady (Jan) as she leaves and he follows her outside…followed by Belle. There is a replay of John and Marlena’s arrival as pandemonium breaks out. Julie calls her a murderess and rushes over and attacks her for showing her face in the house of God. Philip goes out and tells Belle that her mom and dad are there and she goes back inside. Bo, Hope and Mickey pull Julie off of Marlena as she is hysterical and continues to rant at her. Bo jumps John for bringing her there. Marlena pleads her innocence as Belle rushes over and joins John by her side. Later, Belle is upset because Shawn has disappeared but Philip takes Belle’s side. Belle and John continue to stand by Marlena’s side as Bo continues to rant at her. Hope stops him, saying that some people believe in Marlena’s innocence. But Bo won’t back down, saying that Alice ID’d her and that she confessed to John. John says that he knows Marlena…his wife…and he believes she is innocent and he will do whatever it takes to prove it. John, Belle and Marlena hug as he promises them they will make it through this. Someone flips Julie’s switch again as she starts in on Marlena. She points to the front of the church, saying that her last two victims are right there and unless she wants to join them…keep her distance. Father Jansen reminds everyone why they are there and everyone files out to the graveyard to continue the service.
Meanwhile…Shawn has followed Jan asking her questions, trying to find out who she is. Disguising her voice, she tells him she was a friend of Alice. She tells him that Alice told her a story about him once and the girl he loved. He says Belle, but she says no, that wasn’t it. It was about another girl and how he sacrificed for her. He asks if it was Jan Spears. She says yes and asks if he had feelings for her. He says he felt sorry for Jan but didn’t love her. About that time Hope walks up looking for him. He goes to introduce her, but when he turns back around, Jan is gone. The funeral concludes in the graveyard as Marlena sits and cries and Jan watches from the bushes. Hope places a red rose on Doug’s casket as Abby puts a bouquet of daisies on Alice’s and Jen hugs her. Julie also puts flowers on Doug’s as she tells him that he takes her heart with him and that she will love him always and then breaks down. Shawn puts flowers on Alice’s and talks about how she always took care of them. Marlena watches all this and cries (with John by her side) as the mourners comfort each other as they leave. Hope worries about Shawn leaving town at a time like this, she wants her family together. Bo fires off once again at Marlena and fires the cop with them. John takes responsibility but Bo is pissed. Marlena claims that she just can’t be the killer…she wasn’t even in Salem when Abe was killed. But Bo says they have investigated it and even talked with Eric and she came home on an earlier flight…and that Sami knows it too. He says as far as he is concerned, they have plenty of proof she is the killer. Marlena is clearly confused during all this. Philip gets called back to the base and tells Belle to call if she needs him. As they hug, Shawn spots Jan in the bushes and follows her again. As John and Marlena talk, she is confused about when she returned to Salem. She continues to sob as she says “maybe it’s true…maybe I did it…maybe I AM the stalker.” Freeze frame on her face with the hockey mask behind…as the previews show…
On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…
Bo, Hope, Julie and Mickey rush into the church as someone (Julie?) screams “The killer has struck again” We see Celeste lying flat out on the floor…
That same mysterious guy is telling Patrick that he has a job to do…what’s the problem?…is he getting daffy over that Deveraux woman?…as Jennifer watches from the bushes…
Shawn (to Belle): You lied to me about your mother’s alibi…how am I supposed to forgive you for that?…
Marlena (to John) as she is sobbing… “I am the Salem Stalker”…
And the credits roll…

Episode #9795
Tape date – April 1, 2004
Director – Herb Stein
SUMMARY: If you're planning a three day weekend, don't worry about missing tomorrow's show. Bonnie doesn't get the liquor license and figures Rex's smarts will help her cause; the family lingers around the graveyard and church as Jan, Nicole and Marlena continue to torment them in their own special ways; and Patrick assures Jennifer he'll be there for her and the baby.
ALICE'S BAR...We find Bonnie pouring booze into her own flask and calling it her own (that figures) as she proceeds to get Rex drunk along with herself. Mimi and Patrick walk in, feeling sad that Rex's gonna have Bonnie as a parent figure. She asks him about Jennifer, but he says they're just friends as he silently vows to never hurt her. Bonnie tells Rex about not getting the liquor license and thought maybe enough Dimera ran off on him to help her get that license after all. Mimi sends Rex to look for his watch and insists her mother stay out of her love life. Rex finds the watch in the kitchen. Bonnie offers Rex a job as bartender (uh, no liquor license, remember Bonnie?) Bonnie leaves Mimi and Rex to talk about it as Mimi warns him it would be a disaster working for her mom. Bonnie suggests the 3 of them have dinner have dinner together later and Mimi refuses. Bonnie's having a buffet after the funeral, but not much for funeral food herself. Rex accepts both the dinner and job offer as Bonnie can't take her hands off him. Mimi asks Rex to take her home and he asks for a rain check for dinner. He steps away and Mimi collects Rex's watch from Bonnie, who lifted it off him. Saying old habits are hard to break, she pulls it out of her cleavage and gives it to Mimi. They say goodbye as Bonnie tells herself with the help of Sexy Rexy, she'll get what she wants.
JENNIFER prays at Jack's grave to see him again while the guy Patrick talked with earlier lurks in the bushes watching. She senses someone behind her and turns. It's Patrick. He helps her to a nearby bench, worried about her and the baby. She senses he's tense too and asks why. Later he disappeared and looks for him in the bushes. The guy accuses Patrick of getting too soft for the Deveraux woman. The guy leaves and Jen takes his arm, saying he has some explaining to do. Apparently she heard voices, but didn't see anyone. He said it was someone from the hospital he knew that came to Alice's funeral. He had told the guy he would make sure she and the baby were safe and as long as he was around, she and the baby would be safe.
WHINEY BELLE mopes around the church, saying that Shawn probably won't want to talk with her. At the altar she prays that Mrs. Horton knows she never could think her mom would kill anyone and prays that God helps her.
JAN remembers her conversation with Shawn earlier. He joins her again and she tries to talk him out of leaving Salem, but decides to take advantage of the situation and offers him the use of her private country house (as the old lady of course). She writes down the address for him and asks he not tell anyone the address as she likes her privacy. He wants to ask more about his grandmother and she uses the excuse she's tired and needs to go sit down. Belle walks up as Jan lurks from behind a tree. She asks who that woman was, but he tells her it was personal and nothing she needed to worry about and walks off. Jan smiles, saying Belle has reason to worry now.
MARLENA talks to John about her own family could send her to death row. John says he'll protect her.
AT THE CHURCH, JULIE rushes to get Bo and Hope saying the killer struck again. They run into the next room to find Mickey kneeling over Celeste. She's on the floor and unconscious. Bo holds Celeste as she comes to and she says it was Alice. Belle rushes in and after getting water for Celeste, wonders where Shawn is (one track mind). Celeste tells them that Alice told her the deaths will continue.
BRADY AND NICOLE arrive late to the funeral, he's disappointed, she's not. She offers him a ride back to the service station. He sees Marlena, wondering what she's doing there and learns she came to pay her respects. Before Nicole can get out of there, Bo and Hope walk out of the church. Bo has some questions about the night Victor was killed (has HE been buried yet?) and John reminds them Marlena had an airtight alibi with him that night. Bo tells about the unidentified fingerprints they found around the house and knows Victor even warned them about her wanting him dead. He asked who had the most to gain from Victor's death (duh). Marlena looks at Nicole after that comment. John and Brady are concerned that Victor's killer might strike again.
Celeste apologizes to Hope and Julie about Alice's warning. She tells them Alice said that one more death will come to Salem before this is all over. Julie said it's true as she'll kill Marlena herself. Mickey tells her to have faith in the legal system (I'm with Julie, the system in Salem sucks (my words, not hers). Celeste tells them that Alice couldn't say who would be killed, but she could tell it was someone Alice loved. Julie rushes out and orders Bo to lock Marlena up before she kills anyone else. Bo calls Lexie and finds John didn't have permission to take Marlena out of the hospital. He tells Lexie that Marlena is returning to the hospital and will have 3 guards watching her and as soon as she's released, will go to jail and be arraigned. He promises Hope, Julie and Mickey that Marlena will not take the life of one more person. John stays quiet, but his expressions speak for him.
Marlena talks to Nicole, sort of remembering seeing her with Jan the night before. Nicole shines it off, saying she hardly knows Jan and had just run into her. John returns, apologizing for taking Marlena out of the hospital. Nicole pretends concern that Marlena's not all right.
Belle and Shawn talk in the graveyard. She cries of how she can't live with it if they find out her mother was the SK and she lied to him. Shawn tells her how Great Gran was so important to both him and his mother and was always there for them. How can HE live with it, knowing she had lied to him and he wasn't there for Gran when she needed him. Belle cries and moans and when he clues her in it was HIS family that he lost, she says she knew Mrs. H. all her life and loved her too and if her mom is the killer, how hard it'll be. She asks when they can talk and he tells her they won't, he's leaving Salem.
Jan quietly encourages him to tell her from the bushes. Nicole pulls Jan's hat off. Jan tells her about Shawn's coming out to her country home, but Nicole warns her they'll put her behind bars, not Shawn. She tells Jan about what Marlena said.
MARLENA'S back handcuffed to her hospital bed. She tells John she shouldn't have gone and can tell John's not convinced of her innocence either. He can't help remembering what he saw at the graveyard and what Alice told him. If they can't straighten it out, he fears she will be convicted.
Bo is still talking to Julie, Hope and Mickey. He's convinced Marlena killed everyone but maybe Victor. He'll deal with that person next.
Brady asks Celeste the truth as he doesn't put much stock in fortune tellers. She tells him she's not a fortune teller. He asks what her sixth sense says about Nicole, is she a killer? She senses lies and great danger around Nicole.
Mickey announces he's catered a nice dinner at Alice's Bar for the family. Julie tells him he can eat it as she can't rest until Marlena's off the streets. Bo said they'll be right there, but Hope still thinks Marlena's innocent. Bo vows to prove she's guilty.
John tells Marlena there's a way to prove if she's innocent or guilty, but warns her she could sign her own death warrant. She's willing to risk her life as she has to know the truth. She has to know if she's the Salem Stalker.
PREVIEWS FOR TOMORROW'S DOOL
Lucas and Kate find Sami unconscious on the floor of her apartment. Kate says “thank God, she's dead” as Lucas rushes to Sami's side, calling out to her.
Belle tells Shawn if she loses him now, it's all her fault. Shawn tells her it's not her fault, it's his.
Hope tells Bo they trusted in Marlena, confided in her. Bo tells Hope that Marlena's a killer. They just have to accept that and find out why.
John tells Marlena she has no conscious memories of being the killer. It could mean that she is possessed...

Episode #9796
Tape date – April 1, 2004
Director – Herb Stein
Summary: Sami spirals out of control as Kate urges Lucas to take Will and run…The Hortons gather at Alice’s Bar for a “hot” lunch…John fears that Marlena has been possessed again. Has she?…or is this just a red herring? From the looks of this show, yes she has. For those of you that missed this storyline…there are some great flashbacks.
At Alice’s Bar…A reluctant Julie arrives with Mickey. She isn’t in the mood for Bonnie’s shenanigans and asks what she is serving…chips, dips and chili peppers? They go on inside as Julie comments that it smells like burning boots in there. Celeste arrives as Bonnie asks her what is wrong. Celeste says the spirits are restless and there is evil around. Julie snidely comments that it is in the kitchen. Bo and Hope arrive outside with him complaining and not wanting to stay long. He says he needs to get back to the station. Hope is still defending Marlena and they talk about what all this is doing to Belle and Shawn. Inside, Celeste tells them about Alice appearing to her and her prediction that another one would die. Bonnie reveals lunch (a cook she is auditioning prepared it). Julie samples what looks like barbequed chicken and immediately begins fanning her mouth and begging for water (as Bonnie chuckles). Outside, Bo and Hope are still talking about Shawn and Belle and she thinks he is leaving for the wrong reasons. But Bo says he is grown up now and able to make his own decisions.
Meanwhile, Belle and Shawn are still at the cemetery as she whines about him leaving Salem. He says that he just needs some time away. She doesn’t like the idea of him joining the Merchant Marine and tries to convince him not to go and give up on them. He tells her it isn’t her fault…it’s his. He was supposed to watch over Alice and protect her and he let her down and failed her.
Shawn and Belle arrive at the bar and go in as everyone is getting their food. The cook comes out to see how everyone likes his food as Bonnie fires him. Hope pulls Belle aside to talk as Shawn tells his dad that he still plans on leaving. Belle apologizes to Hope for all the trouble she caused as Hope tells her that she doesn’t believe that Shawn running away is the answer. Bo gets a call from the hospital that John has moved Marlena from her room and he rushes off, followed by Hope, Shawn and Belle. After they are gone, Julie, Bonnie, Mickey and Celeste wonder what is going on. Celeste tells them that if Marlena is possessed again, it could explain her conflicting feelings about her. And if that is true and if it is happening again…no one is safe.
At Sami’s Place…Kate finds Lucas in the hall with his arms full of stuff as she questions him as to why he wasn’t at the funeral. He tells her that Sami is sick. They walk in to find her on the floor passed out. Kate says “Thank God…she is dead”. Lucas rushes to her and helps her up and to the sofa. He explains to Kate that she has been feeling faint and her stomach hurts. Kate goes off, thinking that Lucas has gotten her pregnant. They both deny it as Kate reminds them that it has happened before. (Insert flashbacks of them in the cave). Lucas explains how he came to pick up Sami for the funeral and she was a mess, upset and crying. He says he couldn’t leave her like that. Kate says it is only cheap theatrics but Sami goes off saying that John is guilty and that she (Kate) is helping him frame her mother. She reminds them about how Kate framed her for Franco’s murder and let her go to death row. If not for Lucas, she would have been put to death. Lucas explains how a reporter and photographer showed up (we see in flashbacks) at Sami’s door comparing her to her mother and Sami ran them off. Kate knows all about it as she whips out a copy of the Intruder with Sami/Marlena’s pictures on the front cover. Sami freaks out, fearing that her mom will be convicted and rushes to her room. Kate starts on Lucas, saying now would be the perfect time to go for full custody of Will. He says he can’t do that to her now, but Kate says he needs to get away from her. Sami hears this and rushes out yelling “You wouldn’t dare!” Kate says she shouldn’t be raising Will and that he would be better off without a mother. Lucas reminds Kate of how many children were taken from her as well. But Kate keeps on until Sami has had enough and throws both Lucas and Kate out the door, slams it and locks it. She heads for the kitchen and gets out a liquor bottle and pours her self a drink as she cries. In the hallway, Kate warns Lucas that Sami is on a downward spiral and she will drag him and Lucas with her if he doesn’t get away. Inside, Sami cries as she drinks, saying she is losing everyone she loves.
At the Hospital…John explains to Marlena that he fears she may be possessed again. He reminds her of what happened last time as she has several flashbacks of the possession. She says NO, it can’t be happening again. She has more flashbacks (including floating above the bed and turning into a panther). John reminds her that their love saved her before he will do whatever it takes to save her again. There are more flashbacks of him burning her hand with a cross…then of them fighting in the morgue with him begging for her life and soul…then of them when she was finally freed. Back to the present, she fears it may be true and freaks out crying. Both of them are now crying as he vows to take care of her. He tells her to get some rest and that he will return shortly. After he leaves, she wipes her eyes and says “Oh dear God…don’t let it happen again”. Later, he returns with soup for her as her eyes turn yellow she breaks the cuffs constraining her to the bed and she yells (in the devil’s voice) “Go to hell wimp! I’ve got soup for you” and projectile vomits all over him (ala Linda Blair in the Exorcist…gross). She flies (literally) across the room and begins choking him, lifting him off the floor, laughing maniacally the whole time. She morphs into an old nasty devil/woman saying “bye bye”. She wakes up (yes, it was a nightmare) as he walks in for real with soup this time. She asks him “it isn’t split-pea is it?” (LOL). But tells him that she has lost her appetite. She asks “What if I AM possessed?” He says that they will get through it together like before as she cries and he rubs her shoulders. She says that being possessed again is like a living nightmare but John says it would explain her behavior. But she finds no comfort in that. He tries to assure that they can beat evil again and knows where to go for help. He says that they need to find out for sure but she may have to risk her life in the process. She says she will do whatever she must to get the truth. John takes her out of her room (this is where a cop calls Bo) and to the chapel. Bo and company arrive, asking what they are doing. John says they are about to find out if she is guilty. Belle cries in the hallway as Shawn comforts her. Bo thinks it may all be a trick and is very skeptical. Father Jansen arrives and asks how she feels. He tells them that since she was possessed before, it is a possibility it could happen again. Belle and Shawn come in (even though John doesn’t want her there). Bo continues to complain to Hope. They are ready to start as Father Jansen chants and then places a cross on Marlena’s forehead. She gasps, jumps back with eyes and mouth wide open as everyone reacts…Freeze frame on her shocked face…as the previews show…
On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…
Mimi (to Philip): If anyone can talk Belle into anything, it is you…will you do it?…will you help save Shawn and Belle’s relationship?…
Lucas is shaking a hysterical Sami telling her to control herself as Will rushes in yelling for them to stop fighting…
John is yelling at Marlena (as the lights are flickering) “Can you hear me?” as Father Jansen tells him to stay back. Marlena’s eyes turn yellow as she calls him “Priest”…
And the credits roll…

Episode #9797
Tape date – April 2, 2004
Director – Phil Sogard
SUMMARY: Mickey comes to Bonnie's rescue, Marlena is possessed, depossessed, never possessed (read for yourself, haha), and Sami's binge gets Lucas arrested...
ALICE'S BAR Bonnie has a pity party with herself, staring into her empty flask. She comments sexy Rexy was no help either and voilia, he appears behind her, promising to get that liquor license for her by opening night. He suggests she just get someone other than herself as the CEO, someone who doesn't have a record. She worries about telling Mickey as he'd find out about her checkered past. A registered letter is delivered for Mickey and she signs for it. The courier stands there, waiting for a tip (I'd shake his hand to be so blatant). Bonnie opens her purse, seeing $$$ in there, but claims not to have anything smaller than a $20. She asks Rex to help and he gives the guy a dollar bill. The courier comments about a whole dollar and leaves. It was a letter from the liquor bureau telling him the liquor license was refused (man, that was fast). She wants to hide it from Mickey and throw it away, but he warns her tampering with the mail is a federal offense. She figures if Mickey had the license in his name for Maggie (due to her being an alcoholic), he could do it for her as she dreams of maybe a marriage license as well. Mickey walks in, asking what she needs (I'm sorry, Mickey's way too jovial lately after just losing his mother). She cues Rex to leave the room and tells Mickey there's a problem. She gives him the registered letter and he asks what she did to be refused a liquor license. She tells him her story of trying to make a living and had a no good husband. She tells him she got caught taking a loaf of bread and some milk for her babies and left an IOU. She suggests he get the license in his name and he agrees to do so. She gives him a long kiss and apologizes afterwards. He understands she was just excited, and so was he. She tells him she just wants to make him and his mother proud. She cries thinking of all her money making attempts over the years and now he's making her dream come true. She turns on a slow song, asking for a dance, which they do.
IN HER APARTMENT, SAMI continues downing her sorrows in a glass about all those she's lost either in death or in love. Looking at Will's picture, she wonders if he would be better off without her in his life, gulp, gulp.
IN THE HALLWAY, KATE CONTINUES her tirade to Lucas about Sami and Marlena both being unstable and how Lucas should move in and get full custody of Will (enough already). Lucas says it's up to them to help Sami, reminding her how she promised Roman to help Sami on their wedding day, the day he died. (that shut Kate up quick as she remembered doing so) He feels the only one Sami wants to hurt is herself and reminds her of her vow to Roman to help. They knock on the door and Lucas won't leave. Sami puts the booze bottle back in the cupboard and pours what's left in her glass into a coke can out of the trash (but leaves the glass on the counter still, haha) Lucas smells the booze on her and she splashes it on his suit as she shakes the can around. He asks if she hasn't learned anything from him that she can't escape in a bottle. She gets angry and goes after him fighting when Will walks in and tells them to stop fighting. Sami starts crying and runs to the bathroom, telling everyone to just leave her alone. Will smells the alcohol and asks if Lucas was drinking. Kate assures him Sami was the one and accidentally spilled it on his dad. Lucas calmly tells Will that he'll take care of Sami and Grandma Kate will take him to the pub for the night (gee Grandma, why not take care of him yourself in Lucas's apartment or back to Roman's house for a change?) Will returns within seconds with a packed backpack (that kid knows to be prepared in that apartment, LOL). Kate tried to call child protection services, but Lucas stopped her. Lucas knocks on the bathroom door and tells her they're alone now and it's time they had a talk. She comes out and reminds her how drinking hurt him, almost killing him. She tells him how Will is the only good thing she has in her life and maybe it would be better for Will if he did have him. She starts struggling with him and getting hysterical until he apologizes for having to do this, but slaps her hard. The police walk in at that moment..a neighbor called to report a domestic disturbance, and they arrest Lucas as Sami's calm now, but a little shocked.
WE JOIN MARLENA AS FATHER TIM tests her to see if she's possesse
