Summary: Belle mopes around over losing Shawn…Sami fumes over Lucas’s proposal…as Kate continues to meddle in her sons’ lives. Julie and Bonnie square off once again as Mickey tries to make peace…Hope and Patrick try to rescue Jennifer.

At Alice’s Bar…Bonnie is alone, drinking and crying over Patrick as Mickey comes by with a huge bunch of yellow roses. She hugs him and thanks him as Julie walks in…in a BAD mood. She says it is because of Bonnie’s rotten son Patrick that Hope and Jen are both dead. She recalls all that Patrick has done and the trouble he has caused and blames Bonnie. She says he is poison and will be the death of the Horton family. Mickey tries to calm her down and Bonnie hugs him telling him she loves him as she smirks at Julie. Mickey tries to be the optimist (he says like his mother) and reminds them that no bodies have been found and to keep hope. Bonnie rushes to the kitchen to whip up some chili. Julie tells Mickey she thinks that Bonnie is trying to kill him. They hear a loud crash and Bonnie comes out covered in chili, saying she had an accident and ruined the chili (as Julie thanks God). Mickey suggests they go to the Penthouse Grill and goes to make reservations. He tells them he got a table for 3 as Bonnie and Julie both say “make that 2”. They continue to argue with Julie telling her “why don’t you just go back to Dogpatch” (lol). Mickey breaks them up and says they are all 3 going to eat and have a good time. Julie rolls her eyes and says “fasten your seatbelts…it’s going to be a bumpy night”.

At the Loft…Belle and Philip return from Jan’s (is it me, or has the nu-Belle been wearing that SAME dress the entire time she has been on?). She is still whining about losing Shawn. Kate shows up and immediately starts on Philip about making his move on Belle. She comes in but Belle excuses herself and goes upstairs. Philip fills Kate in about Shawn’s prints on the ring box as she continues to push him to go after Belle. Upstairs, Belle fingers the purity ring as we are treated to some fake flashbacks of Shawn and Belle on the rooftop where he proposes to her. (I think that was right before he found out about her lie to cover her mom). She takes off the ring and places it in a drawer. Downstairs Kate urges Philip to get dressed up in his dress uniform and take Belle out for the evening. He finally agrees and she rushes off to see Lucas. She says it is his birthday. After Kate leaves, Belle comes back down and Philip tells her to get dressed, they are going out. He will be back in a little while. After he is gone, she looks at a picture of her and Shawn, grabs her keys and rushes off. Later in the show, we see him in Salem Place in his dress uniform, buying flowers for her.

Sami is asleep on her sofa…having a nightmare of her and Lucas. She is a witch and he is the devil as he chases her around with a pitchfork, calling her names and then proposing to her (LOL). She wakes up furious and rushes to his apartment banging on the door. He opens it to have her ranting and railing at him for the way he treated her and to shove his so-called proposal. He yanks her inside, trying to explain. She tells him that was the worst proposal she has ever heard and says it was like a “romance novel written by Stephen King and that marrying her would be the ultimate ‘Misery’” He tells her that was a good one, but a bit over the top. She asks “you want to see over the top?” and hurls a glass vase at him. He apologizes for his lack of romance in his proposal, but tells her he just wanted her to know how serious it all was. He says he knows that a girl like her deserves to be swept off her feet, but it wasn’t planned and he was just speaking from his heart. He tells her to go home and think about it…if her answer is no, then that door is closed forever. If it is yes, he wants to take her out to the Penthouse Grill this evening to celebrate. She goes back to her place, saying he had better be careful what he wishes for. We later see her with her robe and bunny slippers on stomping through the apartment. Someone is at the door and it is Kate who begins to insult her, but stops herself. Sami tells her to get her “botoxed butt” out of there, but stops herself as well. Kate explains she was looking for Lucas and leaves as they both insult each other one more time. Kate goes to Lucas’s with a cake, gift and card. She tells him about Philip and Belle and asks if he is going out. She begs him to tell him he isn’t going out with Sami. In her apartment, Sami has a fantasy of her and Lucas dressed to the nines, he with roses and on one knee proposing to her. Kate walks in and screams, grabs her heart and falls to the floor as Sami smiles. She says she would love that to happen. At Lucas’s apartment, Kate starts to trash Sami as Lucas asks her to stop, saying he is going to marry her. Kate grabs her chest and faints to the floor. There is a knock at Sami’s door and she opens it to find Belle…crying about losing Shawn as Sami hugs her.

On the Island…there is a replay of Patrick and Hope arguing over who will save Jen and Hope going down. The rope slips, but Patrick gets control of it. The rope then snaps and Hope falls, but Patrick pulls her back up. They look down at Jen as she comes to calling for Jack. Everyone is yelling for her to stay put, but she gets up and teeters on the edge of the ledge. Jen yells for her not to come down, it is too dangerous, but Hope is determined to try again. She and Patrick argue and he punches her out to stop her and heads down himself. Jack is watching and realizes that HE is the Patrick that Jen was talking about. Hope wakes up and watches as Patrick lowers himself down. The rope breaks and Patrick falls. Jack sees all this and goes rushing through the jungle calling for Jen. He hears her calling for him. Hope looks down but now cannot see either Patrick or Jen. Freeze frame on Hope’s face…as the previews show…

Rex (to Philip): You sneaky bastard…you are still trying to steal Belle away from Shawn. Philip: Shawn has treated her like dirt for the last time…

Sami: I wouldn’t marry Lucas if he were the last man on earth…

Lucas: Ready or not, Sami…here I come…

Tek (to John): What are the chances of DiMera being alive? John: It wouldn’t be the first time…

Roman and Marlena are in bed kissing as she moans “Roman”…

Summary: A new face on the island as Cassie appears briefly; the younger set prepare for an evening out; John and Tek work on clues at the cop shop (where's Bo?); back on the island Patrick helps Jen as Hope runs for help.

Remembering Kate's advice, Philip returns to the loft wearing his dress uniform carrying flowers. Belle's not home. She arrives at Sami's gasping for sympathy (literally), telling her what happened at Jan's. Sami can't believe how Shawn's such a coward to not break up in person or even mail the ring back. She, in turn, tells Belle about Lucas' conditional proposal and how he listed all her faults during it and their date for a real proposal later. Belle urges Sami to get out of her robe and dressed for her date with Lucas. She tells Sami that Lucas is right for her and he's always been there for her. Belle tells Sami she lost Austin and Brandon because she lied. She asks Sami if she does love Lucas and if so, not to blow it. Tell him your true feelings and take it from her, love doesn't last forever. She asks if Sami if she wants to live without the man of her dreams or not.

Mimi and Rex return home as she wonders why their lives are falling apart. First it was Shawn's disappearance and now Patrick. They go to Belle's and find Philip there. Rex watches as Mimi goes ga ga over Philip in uniform and then figures out what his plan is after seeing the flowers. Philip denies it and tells Rex to shut up. Rex punches him and Philip says he'll wish he hadn't done that. Mimi stops them from fighting as Philip tells them what happened at Jan's. He was going to take her out to dinner to cheer her up. Philip went to the base for his uniform and Belle was gone before he got home (yeah, it's an hour's drive each way, isn't it?) Rex suggests a double date before Belle walks in. She tells Philip he looks nice in his uniform and hugs her best friend, asking how she's doing. Philip mentions he and Rex thought a double date might help and Belle agrees. She goes to get a tissue out of her purse and Philip offers her his hanky. Rex is on to Philip, but Mimi thinks after what Shawn did, a man like Philip is what Belle needs.

Lucas justifies his love for Sami to his mother after she comes to. He reminds her that she promised both Roman and him to start fresh with Sami. He tells his mother that he's going to give Sami the proposal she deserves. Kate tries to talk him out of it, then leaves.

Belle leaves after telling Sami to get ready for her date with Lucas. Kate runs into her in the hall and hopes she and Philip have a nice dinner together. Belle leaves. Kate opens Sami's door and sees Sami in her robe and jammies with a book. Sami slams the door on Kate, who is happy with her findings. Sami gets a determined look on her face. Lucas walks down the hall in his suit and tie towards Sami's apartment, saying ready or not, here he comes. He counts down the seconds on his watch (too cute) and before he knocks, Sami opens the door. Startled, he says her name.

At the cop shop, John and Tek try to hack into the Dimera files. Tek's magic fingers get right into it and the Phoenix has risen..on the monitor that is. Later we see them keying away, playing tag team until the connection is lost. John figures if the phoenix has risen, it's regrouping and planning it's next attack. John figures Tek would be his next victim because he's getting close to Stefano's most prized possession...Lexie, as well as he's helping John. John wasn't happy seeing Tek kissing Lexie. Tek tells John about Abe's letter on Theo's birthday, asking Lexie to move on should he die and how he thinks he and Lexie could have a real relationship. Tek reminds John how others have lost loved ones, like he and Kate. Kate arrives and asks if they've learned anything about Marlena's body. She comforts John when he tells her no. An officer tells Tek they got a strange signal on the emergency band (that they monitor on the computer, LOL?) Tek says it's too weak to pinpoint and attributes it to a sun spots on the satellite. John shakes his head.

ON SALEM ISLE
Roman watches his makeshift SOS device key off the signal while Marlena's asleep on the couch and dreams about making love with John...who morphs into Roman. The scene changes and she's asleep in her bed when someone wearing the hockey mask comes out of the closet at her. She wakes from the nightmare asking Roman to hold her. She was feeling safe one moment than felt evil before waking up. He promises to protect her as the subject changes to the SOS device. Roman figures he and Abe had ET on their brain. They moved it to the penthouse because of it's elevation. (Man, are those tall trees outside the balcony or WHAT? Remember how tall that penthouse is?) He yawns and Marlena offers to watch the device, but Roman admits not being able to sleep. Marlena wonders how Patrick, Hope, Jack and Jen are doing in the jungle. He sees movement on Marlena's patio and signals her before going to check it out. He sneaks on the patio and finds Cassie lurking there (hello Alexis...welcome to the island) She smiles at her father. She tells “daddy” that she misses Rex so much and wanted to see the device he and Abe made and asks if it'll work. (how did she get on the penthouse balcony is what I want to know!) Marlena offers her fresh lemonade and Cassie goes to get it herself as Marlena tells Roman she knows Cassie's his daughter, but never heard her call him “daddy” before and is worried Cassie's spying for Tony or Stefano. He doesn't agree. She figures if she could be programmed to “kill” their family and friends, couldn't Cassie be programmed to spy. Roman says Cassie reminds him of Kate. Marlena suggests they prepare people the SOS device might not work and they might be marooned there forever. Holding hands, then hugging, they're happy to have each other at least.

On the cliff, we see Patrick climbing down the neverending vine when it breaks. Hope bends over looking for both Patrick and Jennifer (don't bend too far Hope, this is daytime tv)...as Jen yells for help and we see Patrick falling off the vine. Hope yells for either of them and looks for Jack next. Jennifer grabs her abdomen and says the baby is coming and wishes Jack were there to help her. We see a hand reaching up to the ledge and Patrick climbs on it, knowing she'd prefer Jack, but got him instead. Jen asks Patrick to tell her the truth. Are she and her baby going to die? (the fact that she and the baby both survived that steep fall to the ledge is amazing enough!) He holds her close to warm her and promises to do everything he can to save both the baby and her. She asks Patrick to tell Jack how much she loves him if she doesn't make it. Hope briefly looked for Jack in the jungle, but returns and looks down and sees Patrick on the ledge with Jennifer. She tells him they have to get Jennifer out of the ravine and he says they need help before Jennifer goes into labor. Hope asks how shey'll get through the force field for help and he holds up the coin, saying use this. He explains how to key into the control panel (isn't it on the other side of the force field) and use the coin's metallic properties to break the field momentarily. He tosses up the coin and she misses it. Fortunately (amazingly is more the word), he catches it. He tosses it up again and she catches it. He clues her into following the setting sun and she doesn't want to be in the jungle alone at night. Jennifer moans that the baby is coming as Hope starts wandering into the jungle following the setting sun as someone's following her......

The Salemites begin to gather for dinner at the Penthouse Grill, while the Islanders gather for their own party at Marlena’s faux Penthouse apt.

MIMI & REX are talking in the hall , about all their friends. Mimi isn’t too thrilled about going out, as she is still mourning her brother’s death. Inside Belle’s apt., Phil talks to Shawn’s picture about how he has treated Belle, who comes out in a different dress, with a blond wig. Rex & Mimi come in, & Mimi mentions “cool extensions”. (??) Jan calls Belle, who tells her of the plans for dinner at the Penthouse Grill. Jan claims she is having dinner there with her fiance’, too.
Brady & Nicole are talking business at Titan, as John & Kate arrive on their way to dinner. Nicole leaves to get a file from her office, John talks with Brady. He wants him to leave Titan & work at Basic Black, but Brady is not about to leave Titan. John feels he has chosen his grandfather’s widow over his father. Meanwhile, Kate is having this fantasy of Lucas knocking on Sami’s door & her opening it in her robe & towel over her hair, telling Lucas to get lost. Nicole runs into her, they have a few words.
Lucas arrives outside Sami’s door (wow, he looks sooooo handsome!), knocks and she DOES open it in her robe, fuzzy slippers, and towel wrapped hair. Lucas figures he has his answer turns to leave, but Sami calls him back. She drops the robe, takes the towel off her hair, removes her glasses….and she stands before him, in an absolutely stunning white halter type dress, with some black stripes running down. She looks smashing! They kiss.
Julie is looking lovely in a white dinner dress, as Mickey comes out, gives her a hug, happy she is joining him & Bonnie for dinner. Ah, Bonnie arrives, very blonde wig, & a sort of sequin, western style dress, complete with fringe, causing Julie to just roll her eyes, and have a fantasy of Bonnie being “escorted” out of the Penthouse Grill as unsuitable. LOL
Jan brings a computer monitor for Shawn to watch, promising him a good movie of his wonderful Belle and her new love. She takes off.

AT THE GRILL Philip, Belle, Rex & Mimi are lst to arrive. Gaston the waiter shows them to their table….but Mimi wants to call her mother first. Jan arrives, talking into her earring or her ring, & aiming her camera necklace at the table where Phil & Belle sit. She taunts Shawn, who can hear her. Mimi comes up behind her, & they argue. Jan says her fiance’ is running late (LOL) & has paid off a waitress to give her that message in front of Mimi. Jan gets seated, and continues to taunt Shawn with the camera aimed at Belle & Philip. Belle gets up, hugs Philip, Shawn sees it, and begins to yell, causing Jan to pull off the earring. Rex happens by, picking up the earring, saying it is certainly an interesting piece of jewelry.

John & Kate arrive, get seated. Next come Micky, Julie & Bonnie. Gaston at first says he cannot seat Bonnie at the usual table, Julie smirks thinking her fantasy is coming true, but he goes on and on about Bonnie being royalty, the creator of the famous Alice’s Bar, with Mickey saying, “that’s my Bon Bon”. (Oh, ugh, and deliver me from this tripe). Of course, Bonnie pays off Gaston with the promised $50, thanking him for making the fuss. John & Kate see Lucas arrive, & Kate feels bad that he is alone, wanting to invite him over……but…….ahhh, there is Sami, right along side. Kate is not happy. LOL Then, in walk Brady & Nicole, which of course, now makes John’s day. Lucas takes Sami out onto a balcony, telling her she deserves a very romantic night out. He then gets down on one knee, and asks Sami to marry him.

ON THE ISLAND Caroline & Victor return to the Pub, after gathering some vegetables from the garden. She loves working in it. (Wonder where she got the seeds or whatever to plant?) They chat a bit, and Victor says there is not one thing he misses about Salem, that he is enjoying his time there with Caroline so much. They hug, as Roman enters and sees them. He flashes back to seeing them kiss earlier, and they all talk of the device Roman & Abe rigged up. Roman informs them they moved it to the Salem Towers Penthouse (all of a sudden now, Marlena’s place is wayyyyy up in the air, lolol). He notices some envelopes on the bar, one addressed to each of them. Maggie comes rushing in, holding the one she got. They all have no idea how the invitations got on the bar, but they are invited to an evening of cocktails, dinner & a slice of real life…..over at Marlena’s apt.

Marlena sits, watching the device, and writing in her journal. We see a black leather gloved hand (jeez, this is like Mr. Knucklecracker of a couple years ago) go for her doorknob. The other hand holds a box. We then see this hand put a snake into the room. Marlena is engrossed in her journal, puts it aside, and looks up, seeing the snake nestled in the device. (Oh, brother!). She screams. Out in the hall, Roman & Maggie have arrived, hear the scream, and rush in. Roman grabs an umbrella, telling Marlena to freeze, but manages to grab the snake and throw it over the balcony. (Wonder how Cassie got up on that balcony yesterday, lolol). We see the gloved hand press the “down” elevator button. Maggie goes to get Marlena some water, returning from the kitchen with not only Marlena’s invitation, but also the news that a huge banquet table is set up, with all kinds of hors’d’oerves, cheeses, delicacies. Marlena cannot understand how that could be, since she was there all the while.

The Islanders begin to gather at the penthouse. Maggie has gone to get Alice. Caroline & Victor arrive. Roman takes Caroline aside, scolding her for her friendship with Victor, and having him stay at the Pub. Caroline gives it to him right back, about him staying with his ex-wife, and it is no different, tells him to “put that into his pipe and smoke it”. LOL….you go, Caroline! As they all pick up their glasses of champagne, remarking their host has spared no expense, Marlena suddenly drops hers, as she stares at the TV monitor, asking “Is that who I think it is”. The camera freezes on their faces looking at the monitor…….and the previews for the next episode show……..

Kate tells John she wants to put a stop to this charade. John says no, you should go to Lucas & Sami and give them your blessings.

Lucas says that maybe his mom was right, and “I made a huge mistake”

Nicole says….not her, as Brady says “that’s my sister”

Belle says to Phil as they dance……I’m not afraid, Philip. They kiss, as Shawn is watching on the monitor saying, Damn you, Philip.

Summary: I HATE shows like this…where everyone is gathered in one place and we keep moving from one area to another. I know I left a lot out, but you will get the general idea. There are just too many little conversations going on to keep up. BUT, that said…Alison Sweeney and Bryan Datillo (Sami and Lucas) take an otherwise tedious show and turn the last few minutes into a treat for LUMI fans. Meanwhile, on the island…the “dead” are treated to bits and pieces of the evening as they spy on their loved ones moving on.

At the Penthouse Grill…Mimi and Bonnie are talking as Mimi asks HOW she could be there dressed like that with Patrick dead. (Well, Meems, YOU are there too on a date?) Meanwhile Julie and Mickey are talking about Bonnie as Mickey just goes on and on about her and says he is having thoughts he shouldn’t be having as Julie winces. There is a replay of Sami and Lucas arriving (as Kate grimaces). Jan is keeping an eye on Philip and Belle with her handy-dandy camera necklace transmitting to Shawn as she gives him a play by play. Shawn’s yelling in her ear gets to be too much so she takes off the earring and drops it. Rex picks it up and says that it looks like a transmitter. She admits it is, saying her father used to design them and he gave them to her before he died. Brady and Nicole are at their table as Nicole notes that all her enemies are in one place. She spots Jan and hides behind a menu. Brady is watching Philip and Belle and he goes over to their table as Philip excuses himself. Brady tries to talk Belle into staying away from Philip, sure he has a secret agenda, but naïve Belle says he is just a friend. They question each other about each others’ love lives as Nicole comes over and interrupts. Belle decides to go talk to her dad as Nicole asks Brady to dance. Jan slithers her way out of her dilemma with Rex, saying the earing is old and doesn’t work…even though he thought he heard a voice coming from it. Mimi comes over and distracts him and asks him to dance…so Jan is off the hook for now.

Meanwhile, Kate is mouthing off about Sami and Lucas being there…as John doesn’t like seeing Brady and Nicole together either. Kate starts to go to talk to Lucas, but John stops her from causing trouble. Sami and Lucas go out to the terrace to a private table as he drops to one knee and asks her to marry him. She starts laughing and says he has to do better than THAT…she wants to be wooed, and notes that he doesn’t even have candy and flowers. She tells him that Cinderella had until midnight…so does he and walks off. Lucas starts thinking maybe he made a mistake. Sami goes back inside as Kate sees her and makes a bee-line out to Lucas. But Philip beats her out there and he asks Lucas about his proposal. Sami sits down with John as she tells him about Lucas’s proposal. He tells her that Marlena would be so proud of her and she runs off crying. He follows her and holds her as she cries. Outside, Kate has found Lucas and Philip and starts in on him. He tells her NOT to make him choose between her and Sami. Sami cries on John’s shoulder about her mom’s body missing. Sami says it is like when she was missing when she was a little girl. John comforts her and they decide not to tell Belle, for the moment, about this. Of course Belle walks up and overhears this and asks what they are hiding. Quick on her feet, Sami tells Belle that John has refused to pay for her wedding. And of course Belle believes them, as Philip walks up and both Philip and Belle urge Sami to accept Lucas’s proposal. After they leave, John congratulates Sami on her fast thinking and asks “are you SURE you aren’t my kid?” They laugh and he, of course, agrees to pay for the wedding…AND the honeymoon, she adds. After she leaves, he says “that’s what fathers are for”. (Nice to see them get along for a change).

Meanwhile, Lucas seeks advice for the lovelorn from none other than Julie, concerning his proposal. He notes that Doug was such a romantic and asks what would he do. She says that Doug did have lots of practice at proposing (true) and agrees to help him out. In fact, she knows EXACTLY what Doug would do. Later, they chat and she tells him that everything is set…IF he has the guts to go through with it.

As Philip and Belle dance, she comes on to him and they kiss…but of course it is just Philip’s fantasy. Jan continues to watch them and point her necklace in their direction as Shawn damns Philip. Kate rejoins John and they head to the dance floor as well. The music changes to a boogie-woogie song as Mickey and Bonnie hit the dance floor. Everyone gathers around them, clapping and cheering them on as they dance. Julie sees them, takes a drink off a waiter’s tray and bangs her head against the wall.

Meanwhile, on the Island…in Marlena’s faux apartment, Roman, Marlena, Caroline and Victor are there as the TV comes on and Marlena drops her champagne glass. They watch on closed-circuit TV as the camera pans around the Penthouse Grill from table to table. There is a “what da hell?” from Roman as they realize that it must be live. The broadcast stops as suddenly as it started as Maggie and Alice arrive to the party and Victor fumes over seeing Brady and Nicole together. The TV comes back on later and Marlena gets emotional at seeing John and Sami hugging. Maggie cries as she sees Mickey and Julie sitting at their table and then the screen goes dark again. They realize they are only getting glimpses of life back home, but Alice thinks there is more going on there than meets the eye. Roman and Marlena try to offer encouragement to the others that they will eventually get off the island. The camera comes back on later as they see Mickey dancing and then they see Bonnie. Maggie is shocked to see her beloved Mickey dancing with her housekeeper as Alice says it looks as if they are on a date. They see them kiss as Maggie goes to pieces, saying that life is going on without them. Victor says it looks as if they aren’t the only ones moving on as he points out Kate and John dancing. Roman and Marlen stare on in shock.

Back at the Penthouse Grill…Lucas finds Sami and drags her out to the middle of the floor for a surprise. He takes a microphone and the lights dim, except for a spotlight on him. Julie smiles as she (along with everyone else) watches as he talks about their past and talks about them falling in love. Sami tears up (as Kate fumes) as Lucas says that they see each other as never before. Then he softly begins to sing “When a Man Loves a Woman”. The music changes (sounds sort of like the Percy Sledge version, but I don’t think it is) as tons of flashbacks begin to roll across the screen, including their first meeting. Man, they look SO young in some of these. Cool montage here. The scene shifts back as Lucas finishes up the song and everyone applauds (well, everyone EXCEPT Kate)…even John looks like he is crying. Two waiters come out with a huge box of candy and huge bouquet of flowers and he drops to his knee. He says “Samantha Jean Brady…the mother of my son…the true love of my life…will you make me the happiest man in the world…will you marry me?” Everyone is smiling as she smiles and stares at him…and the previews show..

Lexie (to Tek): Marlena is missing…who could have taken her?…what if my father really is alive?…

Summary: We return to t he Penthouse Grill party in Salem and the penthouse on Salem Isle where little conversations continue as Sami says YES at one party and Tony joins the other. Bo and Tek are still at the cop shop working as poor Shawn watches the computer monitor in agony..either from watching Belle with Philip or because he has to use the non-existent bathroom.

AT THE COP SHOP, Bo desperately looks for any small sign that Hope is still alive. They listen to the SOS signal on the computer again as Bo sits in front of it, listening intently to the signal. Bo figures it sounds familiar for some reason, but he's listened to it for so long. (hey Bo, I hope you're taping this message??)

Lexie arrives and Tex meets her at the door. She's glad he's there as she says she needs him as she hugs him. He takes her medical proof over Celeste's psychic vibes, but Lexie wonders if her father is really alive and responsible for all that's happened. Lexie cries, recalling about how she loved Stefano and had a hard time believing what a monster he was. She couldn't believe he'd kill her husband and his own son. She tells him that if her father really is alive out there somewhere, God help them all. Tek tells her how all the evidence disappeared, including Marlena and shells from the gun that shot her. Lexie is sure her father is behind this as who else would have that power? She continues to moan and groan about how she trusted her father and let herself love him. Tek reminds her she's a beautiful loving mother and doctor, not to blame herself. She breaks down saying she can't keep strong any longer as she cries in his arms.

ON CAPTIVE ISLE, Abe and Doug join the party too late to see the live video feed from the Penthouse Grill. Doug asks if Julie was there and Marlena smiles, saying she was and looked beautiful. He asked where Alice and Maggie are and she tells him how upset Maggie got, seeing Mickey with Bonnie, and wanted to leave. They talk how they all figured their loved ones would wait for them, but Doug rationalizes they all think they're dead. Abe tells Roman he's more convinced to keep the machine going now. Roman figures he has to make an adjustment to it being no one's responded yet. Caroline and Victor chat about Jan being at the PHG, surprised Nicole's kept her around after having her kill him. Roman asks Abe if there were any signs of Patrick, Hope, Jack or Jennifer when he was looking for batteries. Abe said no. Tony walks in, dressed in all white, as he comments he doesn't think there will be any signs of them. He asks why everyone's gathered and they tell him about the PHG video. Tony says he's sorry Maggie was upset, but that must be the purpose of their captors holding them. He asks about the SOS device. Roman explains he changed it to a random alphanumeric code he and Bo had created as kids (LOL, and NO ONE ELSE in the world is hearing this with all the satellites and listening devices everywhere??) Tony asks if he can have a drink and Marlena tells him to help himself. Roman is confident the code will be picked up as Tony overhears.

Later the feed starts from The Penthouse Grill again as they see Lucas and Sami together. Roman and Marlena are happy about that and they see Kate and John together. Tony starts in on that and Roman turns and defends Kate (and John) saying they both lost someone they love and are there for each other. He tells Tony to shut up and that he's as big a PITA there as he was in Salem. (what gets me is hardly anyone is staring at the tv as their family and friends are on it...I would be up close staring at it myself, taking it all in..wouldn't you?) (Also, we don't see Mickey, Bonnie or Julie today, so Doug doesn't get to see Julie either :-(

Roman and Marlena both watch finally as John dances with Kate, rubbing her back as she lays her head on his shoulder. Abe asks if Lexie's there with anyone? (she's still at the cop shop) He's relieved to here she's not there, probably home with Theo (you would think, huh?) Marlena notices the transmission has stopped and Roman figures something's going on they don't want them to see. Victor and Caroline leave to go home and Victor tells them all to get some rest and stop torturing themselves (as he practically skips out following Caroline, haha).

Roman follows Marlena out on the balcony. He's glad John and Kate are helping each other out in their absences. He wonders what will happen if they go home and find their loved ones have moved on. Marlena breaks down, wondering if the device doesn't work, what will happen if they have to spend the rest of their lives on that God forsaken island? Roman pulls her into a long kiss and apologizes afterwards. He remembers when they were married how he couldn't stand to see her cry and she had told him she couldn't think of anything else when he kissed her..so he did so again. She laughs saying she stopped crying, so it still works. They hear something fall and Tony calls out and rush back in. He stumbled and fell, breaking the SOS machine that he fell onto. (you would think it would have been in a safer location, wouldn't ya?).

AT THE PENTHOUSE GRILL, couples wonder what Sami will say. Jan moseys up to Belle and Philip and makes sure Shawn gets an ear full as Philip coddles Belle. He figures Sami's going to hang Lucas up to dry. Belle watches as Lucas waits on bended knee and pictures her and Shawn in their places. Shawn tells her that he was crazy to ever leave her and will never leave her side again as he proposes. She tells Philip she's very happy for Sami and Lucas, but it will never happen to her and Shawn, ever. Shawn rattles his cage (ho hum..)

Kate prays that Sami refuses her son as he asks Sami if she's going to accept his proposal, or leave him on his knee all night. She smiles.

The proposal audience grows restless, wondering what's taking Sami so long to answer. Nicole tells Brady that Sami probably wants a bigger ring and he mentions how she use to love Sami's twin brother long ago. Rex tells Mimi when he proposes, not to keep him dangling so long. She tells him she'll say yes before he finishes proposing. Jan taunts Shawn that maybe proposing will be contagious to others there and maybe Philip will propose to Belle. (no one wonders why this chick is talking to her ring all night?)

Sami finally says Lucas, of course I'll marry you. He stands and they kiss as Kate grabs another drink. Later Jan gives a big wa-hoo, way to go.. as Mimi questions her about it. Brady goes to congratulate them as Nicole declines to, knowing they'd be looking for knives in their backs. Belle pulls Sami aside and reminds her what she had said earlier that night about not marrying Lucas. Sami, still teary eyed, pulls Belle aside to talk.

John and Brady congratulate Lucas, hoping he made the right decision. Lucas asks if they thought he was wrong to propose as John smirks. He says no, he's even paying for their wedding and honeymoon, just reminds Lucas how Sami's unpredictable. Brady comments Sami's high maintenance. Eyeing Nicole sipping her martini, Lucas gives it back to Brady saying he's with the biggest gold digger in all time. Brady says he's not in love with her though and won't be stuck with her the rest of his life. (ouch)

Philip tells Kate he's tired of her trying to make him feel like he's got to carry the family name on and walks off as Rex and Mimi join her. He reminds her that he's her son as well. Kate is happy for him and Mimi, just doesn't think Sami and Lucas are right for each other. Rex bluntly tells her (thata guy!) that Will will now have his parents together, something he himself never had. Now his father is gone and he wants to know his mother better. She's so involved with Lucas and Philip's lives though, it's hard to. Kate apologizes and does want to know him better too as they hug. Lucas encourages Philip to go after Belle, saying true love doesn't happen that often.

More of Jan getting Belle to say she's moved on w/o Shawn (so sick of this) as Philip joins them and Belle smiles. Shawn realizes this is real. Sami tells Belle that Lucas swept her off her feet, as corny as it sounds. She feels for Belle, knowing this must be so hard for her with Shawn gone. Jan picks up this conversation as Belle tells Sami she wouldn't take Shawn back, even if he begged her.

Nicole tells Sami and Lucas she sincerely wishes Lucas and Sami every happiness in their marriage and walks away. Brady observes and Sami and Lucas both wonder if she meant it and go..nah...LOL.

Kate and John walk up and Sami asks what the hell she wants.

Mimi and Rex say their goodbyes to Belle and Philip, as does Jan (guess they drove over separately). Belle wonders what happened to Jan's fiancee, sorry they didn't get to meet him. Jan compares Philip to her fiancee and leaves the two “lovebirds”. Belle questions the term to Philip, but they dance as Jan captures them doing so on her ringcam for Shawn.

John tells Kate he thinks they should go over and congratulate Sami and Lucas. She's reluctant, but he talked with Sami earlier and thinks it'll be okay. Sami watches them dancing and Lucas reins in her animosity on Kate (she accuses them of spitting on her parents grave), reminding her of her promise to accept Kate. She agrees. Bo calls John's cellphone and tells him about this strange transmission. John tells him he's at the PHG and Bo offers to come there (yeah, the black tank top will be welcomed there I'm sure, LOL!) as he pulls out his little recorder to get the code on it (finally!). He's taping as the code stops and he figures Tek was right, it was just radio waves or sun spots.....

as the previews for the next DOOL...

Abe finds a working PDA on Tony...Marlena suggests they call home....

Philip tells Bo and John there's something they don't know. Bo asks what is it about Shawn that they don't know....

Sami thanks Lucas for a lovely evening and closes her apartment door on him...

Nicole tells Brady that she wants him more than anything else...

Summary: The party at the Penthouse Grill is wrapping up…Brady and Nicole go back to work a while at Titan…Bo and Philip argue over Shawn…Jan returns home to torment Shawn…Sami and Lucas return home, only for him to get the cold shoulder…With Bo’s help, Hope makes her way through the jungle, but someone is keeping an eye on her…as we also learn that Tony is not as innocent as he claims to be.

At the Penthouse Grill…the party seems to be winding down as Kate and Sami square off and Lucas tries to calm them both. John wishes them luck and a reluctant Kate does the same and welcomes her to the family and they hug. John sees Bo come in and joins him on the terrace to talk. Bo tells him about the signal he was receiving and how familiar it sounded to him. He thinks the signal could have been coming from Hope’s plane, but John reminds him that the transmitter was trashed. Philip finds out they are outside and wants to talk to Bo so he heads out there as well. Bo jumps him for hanging after Belle as Philip trashes Shawn for the way he has treated Belle. He tells Bo about the ring box and how Shawn’s prints were on it. But Bo is sure that something is wrong…he knows his son too well and says he would never do that to Belle. John and Philip go back inside as Bo wonders where Shawn is and what is going on with him. He looks up and sees his and Hope’s star and talks to her, sure she is still alive. He urges her to look for their star and hold on, he will never give up on her. He vows to find his “Fancy Face”.

Back inside, Philip and Belle dance as she fantasizes it is Shawn. She blurts out “I love you” which Philip also does. She goes to kiss him but then realizes it is Philip and apologizes, saying she was thinking of Shawn. Philip promises to help her through it. Meanwhile, Sami and Kate hug the hug of death, LOL. They whisper threats and names to each other calling each other a “bitch”. After they both release, Kate says the only bright spot is that one little boy will be happy. Sami and Lucas talk about love as Kate seethes. Lucas suggests they drive to Will’s camp and tell him the news and Sami is thrilled with the idea. Philip and Belle come over as Kate says she hopes that Philip will be happy someday as well and asks Belle to help him with that. (Oh, get a life Kate!) Sami asks Belle if she will help her plan her wedding, and design her wedding dress and they rush off to start plans. Lucas thanks mommy dearest for trying to get along with Sami. Later, Lucas suggests that he and Sami go home and celebrate privately and she agrees. She hugs Belle and thanks her, the hugs “mom” (as she calls Kate…lol at the look on Kate’s face). Kate tells her “sweet dreams” and then under her breath, says she wishes she was sleeping with the fishes. Belle asks Philip to take her home as John comes over and tells Kate that he is impressed with Philip and that Belle is lucky to have him in her life. Kate says that life can be brutal sometimes and is glad that she has John in hers as well as they hold hands and stare at each other.

Sami and Lucas return to the apartment building as he tells her that it will only get better for them. She unlocks her door and heads inside, with him on her heels, but she turns and bids him goodnight and thanks him for a wonderful evening, before closing the door in his face, leaving him stunned and confused.

At Titan…Brady and Nicole go to work to finish up some report for the board meeting. After they finish, he tells her he needs to make one change and puts her name on it. She is thrilled that he did that and asks if he is giving her her job back. He goes on about how good she is and needs a job…to keep her from drinking too much. She gets all weepy (even squeezes out a couple of tears), saying it means a lot to her. He downplays it, saying she deserves it. She talks about how earlier it seemed that everyone was pairing off, but her. She says that she was ready to give up on her happiness and then he did something nice for her. She says only one thing would make her even happier…HIM. She thanks him and he reminds her that she has done a lot for him. She says he is too nice and it would never work between them and goes to leave. But he stops her and kisses her.

The bird is in his cage…as Jan returns home to torment him. He whines that she has ruined his life and calls her a psycho bitch and that he has lost Belle because of her. She asks what was his favorite part of the feeds as she calls it all “tough love” and starts up the PC to make him watch again. This storyline was OLD weeks ago. She plays the clips as he yells for her to shut it off. She goes on about the “R-rated” tapes and bets that Belle is an animal in bed with Philip. She says afterall, Shawn would have NO IDEA what “Miss Ding-Dong” is like in bed. (Okay, one thumbs up for that nickname;-) He is furious with her and threatens to rip her face off. She takes a hint and makes herself scarce to let him calm down.

In the Island Jungle…Hope is deliriously making her way back to the force field as someone follows her (we only see khaki pants and black hiking boots). She faints as she has flashbacks of her and Patrick trying to get to Jen. She remembers Patrick’s words to make it back before dark (which it now is) and murmurs about saving Jen. The stranger stands over her and watches, then takes out a huge knife. It looks like he/she kills a spider. (Okay, something tells me this person doesn’t mean any harm to Hope). She has more flashbacks of Patrick’s instructions about getting through. She hears Bo’s words, asking if she can feel his love. Her eyes fly open as she says “Bo” and her strength is renewed. She picks up the coin and makes her way to the force field (the stranger is gone now). She remembers what Patrick told her and does so and tosses the coin into the force field and then there is a bright flash of light.

At the Penthouse…Everyone (Marlena, Abe, Roman and Doug) gang up on Tony, accusing him of intentionally breaking the device (ya think?) He tells them that Hope, Jen, Jack and Patrick are probably all dead anyway and that they are all next. Marlena asks him why he is so pessimistic and he says that if Stefano DID design this island, there is no way that the signal was getting out anyway. They all hear a beeping noise and realize it is coming from Tony. They search him and find a PDA. Abe works with it as Tony chuckles, saying the beeping was only a signal that the battery is low. Abe confirms it as it goes dead and gives it back to Tony. Tony suggests that they all work together and stop accusing him. He bids them goodnight and leaves as he wishes them luck on fixing their gadget. Abe and Roman decide to get started as Marlena goes to make coffee. In the hallway, Tony mutters “HE is NOT going to like this”. Later, Marlena has the coffee ready as Abe and Roman are ready to start. Doug says he is going to go out and check the perimeter to see if there is any sign of Hope, Patrick, Jen or Jack. They hear a noise at the door and everyone turns. Marlena opens the door and Hope stumbles in, saying “They need help…they need help”. Shocked faces all around as the camera freezes on Hope’s weary face…and the previews show…

(Sami): Lucas…Please! (Lucas): Forget I proposed…as far as I am concerned, you can spend the rest of your life alone and miserable…

Some guy offers Belle a beer as Philip yells for him to leave her alone and then punches him (okay, just a brief glimpse, but I think it is NEW nu-Belle)…

Doug (to Marlena): Is it serious? (as she examines Hope). Marlena: It could be…Doug: Oh my GOD!…

Jennifer is screaming as Patrick tells her to relax. She says “No, you are going to HAVE to deliver this baby!”…

Summary: Love is in the air in real Salem for the younger crowd. Martha Anne Madison takes over the role as Belle Black tomorrow and although it's only been one day, I'm liking her better. Back on the island, Hope makes it to Marlena's penthouse, but is too weak to show them where to find Jennifer and Patrick.

IN SALEM PARK, we join Belle and Philip walking through the park as they are joined by Mimi and Rex. Mimi pulls Belle aside to chat as Rex tears into Philip about not taking advantage of Belle when she's vulnerable. (Martha Anne Madison starts playing Belle today). Rex knows that Philip is in love with Belle. Belle hopes Sami doesn't let Lucas get away. Mimi psychoanalyzes Belle and encourages Belle to move on with Philip. Belle is sure Philip's in love with someone else. Two guys drinking beer in the park try to pick up Belle and Mimi. One grabs Belle's arm and Philip rushes up and grabs the guy and starts whomping on him, as does Rex, while the girls yell to them to stop. The two hold the guys by a strangle hold and insist that they apologize, which they do. After they're gone, Belle and Mimi tell Philip and Rex they acted like macho jerks and that they can take care of themselves. They tell them that those two guys hadn't done anything and if anyone deserved an apology, it was them. They argue with Rex and Philip all the way back to the loft and Mimi helps Rex wash off a cut on his hand as Belle notices a cut in Philip's sleeve on his jacket. Mimi tells Rex they should go home to put antibiotic on his cut as we find Philip in his undershirt while Belle searches for needle and thread. She finds Shawn's valentine's card in the drawer. Putting his hand on her shoulder, he promises to help her through this. He orders her upstairs to get ready for bed and he'll be up to surprise her later, once she's in bed. He leaves the loft and Belle ponders if what Mimi said is true..that Philip does have feelings for her and wants to take her to bed?

Mimi and Rex talk in their apartment. He knows how to make her forget everything and suggests a hot steamy shower. We join them later in the shower as they briefly mention Belle and Philip before forgetting everyone but themselves. Later Rex joins Mimi in bed as she tells him how lucky she is. She starts to talk about how miserable Belle and Philip are as Rex wants her to focus on them as they make love.

Belle changes into a nighty and robe and Philip (now shirtless) walks in, holding something behind his back. He figures she shouldn't sleep alone tonight and needs something to hold onto to protect her and gives her a stuffed bulldog that looks like their sargeant at the base. The stuffed dog is their mascot and will protect her. She calls him a caring, loving friend and he should go find the girl he loves and tell her. She admits being relieved and hugs him, saying this is exactly how she wanted this evening to end. Later Philip is on the couch and says Belle's name. She walks in, saying he was right. She wants to be with him tonight and every night as they start kissing. He tells her that she is the woman he's in love with. She tells him she loves him too and wants him to make love to her. He peels her nighty and robe sleeve off, then wakes up, LOL!. Sweating, he says he can't take this any more. Belle gets up and puts her robe on, then goes downstairs to find Philip working out with weights.

AT SAMI'S APARTMENT, a replay of Sami kissing Lucas at the door to her apartment and thanking him for a nice evening before shutting the door on him. Upset, he walks in and wants the truth. She admits she might have accepted his proposal too quickly and under false pretenses. He demands honesty and she admits never having any intentions of accepting his proposal. She had only gone to see Kate's reaction to his proposal, thinking it would kill Kate. He reminds her how she just lost both of her parents and asks how could she still want that? He realizes the old vengeful Sami is back and only wanted a public proposal for that purpose. Upset, he tells her she can spend the rest of her life alone and miserable, and to forget this night hadn't even happened, and goes to leave. She begs him to come back in and tells him he also has faults, one of which is a short fuse. She pleads with him to come back in so she can explain and he does so. Sitting on the couch, she admits she went out with him to make Kate pay, saying he really hurt her with that half-assed proposal in her apartment earlier. He gets mad all over again and she tells him how everything changed in that minute he sang to her at the restaurant. She realized he was singing from his heart and she realized that she loved him more than she even knew. She knew she had to answer his proposal from her heart and she meant it when she accepted. Crying, she asks him to forgive her for what she did earlier and she loves him with her whole heart. She hopes he still wants them to have a future together, but she had to tell him the truth. Turning her back to him, he walks up and can't tell her how he feels about what she just said, but will show her. He takes her into his arms and starts kissing her as she starts crying. She tells him she can't wait to marry him and he says the same to her. She tells him her ring is beautiful (he said it was the best he could do) and he turns off the light to see it in the moonlight. She tells him it's beautiful and he tells her not as beautiful as her, as they kiss. She worries that he'll end of up leaving her. He assures her that their marriage will last forever. She pushes back his jacket and starts unbuttoning his shirt as he unties and unzips her dress as it falls to the floor. She's left in a black slip as they fall to the bed.

BACK ON SALEM ISLE, Roman and Abe chat on the balcony about the missing captives and Tony. Hope knocks on Marlena's door and faints just as she tells them she needs help and someone may die. Marlena assures Doug that Hope only fainted as he tells her daddy is there. Abe and Roman whisper that Patrick must have known how to disarm the panel. We see a replay of Patrick's telling Hope how to get through it. They talk about fixing the SOS device. Hope comes to and they encourage her to talk. She weakly tells them they have to rescue Jennifer before the baby comes. She weakly tells them how Patrick and Jennifer are trapped on a ledge over a ravine in the jungle. She tells them Jack was there too. Hope struggles to get up and faints in Doug's arms. They worry about Hope who Marlena said is just plain exhausted after all she's been through. They worry about Jennifer and her baby in the meantime.

On the ledge, Jennifer panics as Patrick tries to keep her calm, knowing her going into labor could be the worst thing that could happen. A boulder comes loose below them. Patrick figures even if Hope makes it back to replica Salem (his term), they'll wait til daylight to come find them. Jennifer fears for Jack, wondering if he's safe. Patrick moves a bit and more boulders fall. Jennifer goes into labor as she realizes the ledge is crumbling. Sharp pains hit (ouch, you can almost feel them she's so convincing!). He figures if he gets off the ledge it will decrease the pressure on it (and she's going to deliver the baby herself?) He's amazing as he climbs up the rocks of the cliff as Jennifer calls out to him and another big piece of the ledge breaks off. Patrick has Jennifer grab his hand....she does with both of her hands and is hanging on as the previews for the next DOOL roll....

Roman: “Isn't there something we can do?” as he looks at Hope on the couch.
Marlena: “There is a drug, but it doesn't come without a risk..she might not wake up at all.”

Philip to Belle: “I know something that will make you feel better...”
Belle: “What?”
Philip: “This..as he leans in to kiss her....”
Jan holds a camera into the room saying “Oh my God, this is better than I had hoped.”

Jennifer spots a tarantula on Patrick's hand (that is hanging on the cliff). Patrick says “one bite and I'm dead” as Jennifer scream NO as the credits roll...

Mimi continues to mourn her brother, Philip continues to lust after Belle, Jan continues to pursue Shawn, Patrick & Jennifer continue to hang on, while Marlena takes a shot at waking Hope. More flashbacks & fantasies…..

AT THE LOFT Rex awakens in bed to hear Mimi crying. She is missing her brother, & they talk of how much Rex still misses Cassie. He encourages her to talk of Patrick, as that is what he did after Cassie died, and it helped. Mimi says Patrick left home at a young age, but was always rather adventuresome. She mentions a Carribbean vacation they took once. Her mom won the trip with her grocery store green stamps (wow, must have been a lot of groceries to win that!), and the place was a hell hole in some island practically off the charts. Once, Patrick, who loved those Indiana Jones movies, talked her into going into the jungle on “safari”. He ended up stumbling into a nest of banana spiders, extremely lethal. She pulled him off, and used some bottle of cheap perfume in her purse to annihilate the spiders. The doctors there said that if he should ever get bitten again, he would die. (uh, oh, we all know there is a reason for this little story). Later, they make love, Rex falls asleep, but Mimi is hurting or something, gets up and goes to the bathroom. She is wearing a pretty blue, short nightie, and her hand is down as she stands behind a sink. She brings up her hand, blood on it, and says Oh, my God, what is happening to me.

Philip is lifting hand weights, as Belle comes down the stairs behind him. She touches his back, and he immediately goes into Marine defense mode, tossing her on her back in a jujitsu move. He apologizes, but she has pulled a muscle. He prescribes some whiskey as a relaxer (oh, GMAB), & tells her he is going to give her a massage. Philip has a couple of fantasy sequences of kissing and making out with Belle. Meanwhile, Jan is taunting Shawn, as usual, with the video of Phil & Belle dancing at Penthouse Grill, and he will have none of it. He knows it was just dinner as friends, and decides to go do the only other thing he can do in the cage besides sleep….and that is to take a shower. Jan has a little fantasy of undressing and joining him….only to find he has locked her out of the shower, lol, and decides to get more evidence that Belle has moved on. She scales down to their fire escape, via a cable from the roof (wow, pretty talented gal….hmmmmmm) and points her trusty video camera thru the window at the massaging going on. Philip & Belle hear the ecstacy moans of Mimi & Rex thru the window, & are rather uncomfortable with it. But a few more sips of the whiskey, & Belle asks Philip what it is like to make love. Philip tells her they are friends and should not be talking about that. Belle asks Philip to make love to her. & they begin to kiss passionately. Jan gleefully captures the scene on video, sending it straight to Shawn’s cell.

ON THE ISLAND Roman, Abe, Doug & Marlena try to get Hope to awaken, to no avail. Marlena says there is a drug that could work, but is in her med bag back in real Salem. Roman says if these places are outfitted the same as home, maybe a med bag is here, too. Sure enough, Marlena finds it in the cabinet. (Gotta tell you, I would have been in every nook and cranny of the apt. already to see what was and wasn’t there, lol). And the adrenaline is there, too. But, they are not sure if perhaps someone tampered with it. Doug volunteers to be a guinea pig. Marlena gives him a small dose & he is fine. She then gives Hope an injection, & her eyes flutter open. Just then Doug collapses. But he only has fainted. Hope tells them all how Patrick opened the force field with the coin, which we see in flashbacks, and tells how he told her how to do it to return to them, again with flashbacks. Hope is anxious to get back to rescue Patrick & Jen, but Roman stops her, saying she is not going anywhere. He & Abe feel Patrick is in cahoots with the mastermind, but Hope defends him. Abe insists he & Roman will take it from here. Hope & Roman yell back & forth at each other, as Marlena tries to be the voice of reason, reminding Hope the shot will wear off soon, and she will be of no use then in the jungle. Hope agrees to give them the coin, and directions to the ravine and cliff where Patrick & Jennifer are. She reaches in her pocket…..coming up empty. She doesn’t have the coin.

Patrick & Jennifer struggle on the cliff. He holds on with one arm (that “injured” one), and Jen hangs on to the other one, as the ledge continues to crumble beneath her feet. Jennifer screams, & doesn’t think she can hold on, the baby is coming. Patrick gives Jen a pep talk about waiting for Jack, to think about Abby, encourages her to focus, telling her to talk to her baby, which she does, and the contractions subside. Jen gets a foothold on a piece of rock, easing the pressure on Patrick’s arm. As Mimi is telling Rex about Patrick & the banana spider, we see a huge spider crawling towards Patrick’s hand. Jen sees it, thinks it is tarantula, but Patrick recognizes it as a banana spider (Jeez, hope I never see one of those in any bunch of bananas I buy! Ugh). Jennifer tells him to try and flick it off….as it continues to crawl over his hand, heading towards his arm. The camera is on Jennifer, as she screams Oh, my God, no, no, Patrick, NO! And the camera freezes right there. And the previews show……..

Hope tells the penthouse group that the coin is the key to everything, and without it, they won’t be able to rescue Jennifer & Patrick

Brady & Nicole are rolling around naked in bed

Shawn screams out……none of this would have happened if you handn’t kept me locked up – away from Belle. If you hadn’t made her think I was gone, that I didn’t care about her mother or the promise we made to each other…..

Bonnie tells Mimi….I’m just looking out for your future, hon. To which Mimi harshly replies, I may not even have a future.

Summary: Jan torments Shawn with her little “peep show” of Belle and Philip…suspecting something is terribly wrong with her, Mimi turns to her mom…Patrick saves Jenn and gets her to safety, once again…as the others strike out to search for them.

At the Loft…A shaken Mimi goes out to the hallway and calls her mom. But she hangs up before Bonnie gets to the phone. On the fire escape, Jan continues to video Philip and Belle through the window (as she sends a live feed to Shawn alone with her commentary via cell phone). Belle asks Philip to make love to her as Shawn watches, yelling at Jan to turn it off. Philip asks Belle if she is sure and she assures him of it. He carries her up to the bedroom as Jan tells Shawn he will have to just use his imagination for the rest of it. He does just that as he has visions of Philip and Belle doing the horizontal mambo. Jan continues to torment him as she climbs through the window. Upstairs, Belle and Philip are kissing as she hears a noise downstairs. Philip goes to investigate and turns on the lights to find…Mimi. Belle comes down, and LOL at Mimi’s eyes when she realizes what was going on and what she interrupted. Meanwhile, Shawn is beating on the cage when one of the bars breaks and Jan informs him that the show is over and she is on her way home…as he works on the loose bar. Mimi stumbles all over her words and tries to excuse herself but Philip leaves to go and take a (cold) shower. Meems apologizes to Belle, but she assures her that nothing happened. But Mimi realizes that three is a crowd and leaves anyway. After she leaves, Belle has flashbacks of seeing Philip working out and then them making out. Philip returns wet with a towel around him as they stare at each other. Belle tells him that Mimi left and she now regrets the drink she had earlier. She tells him that she is going to bed and bids him goodnight. Philip has flashbacks of Belle telling him to make love to her. Meanwhile, Shawn gets the bar loose and hides it just as Jan gets back home. He tells her to go away and leave him alone. (LOL, she asks if he missed her and he replies “Like the plague”). After she leaves, he gets the bar out and begins to pry on others.

Mimi goes to her mom’s, with Bonnie thinking she is just worried over Patrick. She talks about when they were younger and Patrick ran away once and how Mimi worried about him. Mimi tells her it’s about HER this time. Bonnie thinks that she and Rex have had a fight and starts in on him, telling Mimi that she has to look out for her future…but Mimi tells her she may not HAVE a future. Mimi asks her mom what her grandmother died of and Bonnie tells her cancer. Mimi asks what kind and Bonnie says of the uterus as Mimi’s face drops. Bonnie asks what is wrong and she tells her about the blood. Mimi thinks she may have cancer as well…as they hug.

In the Island Penthouse…Hope is freaking out because she can’t find the coin and wants to go back to look for it. They stop her, telling her that she is too weak and urge her to remember the last time she saw it. But she is worried about Jennifer and Patrick and wants to find them. Marlena tells her that she is exhausted and needs to rest. She remembers back to using the coin at the force field and she is sure that it must be around there on the ground somewhere. Abe and Doug decide to go and look for it as Roman works on the transmitter. Hope is determined to go along, but they won’t let her, but they promise to return. After they leave, Roman explains about the transmitter and about the secret code he was using to call to Bo. She prays he has heard it and can figure it out. Marlena gives Hope a Vitamin B12 shot as Roman gets it up and running again. Abe and Doug return to the force field and search for the coin. Doug is talking about Jennifer and how they must save her when he finds it on the ground. Doug is worried about Hope and suggests that he and Abe use the coin and go on through and look for Jenn. But they eventually decide to go back and tell the others. Hope is determined to go along but Doug says no. They argue over it as he says she needs to rest. They try to get her to tell them where Jenn is but she can’t…but she says she marked her trail along the way and only she can find her way back. Marlena decides that she needs to go as well, since Jenn may need medical attention. Roman tells Doug to stay behind and watch out for Alice and Maggie and keep an eye on the device. Doug refuses, saying Maggie can take care of herself (LOL, he says she is now like an Amazon with her machete). Roman tells him that he needs to guard the device and keep Tony away from it as they all plead with him. He finally gives in as he and Hope hug and say their goodbyes and the others leave. They reach the force field as Hope pushes the buttons on the keypad and Roman tosses the coin into it. But it doesn’t work. They try it again but again, no luck. Roman thinks that maybe their host has realized what they were up to and has reprogrammed it….as we see someone watching them from the jungle.

Meanwhile…Patrick dangles from the cliff…as Jennifer dangles from him. He tries to get the spider off of him and blows and it’s gone…but not far, as we see it now climbing up Jenn’s leg. She is freaking out as Patrick somehow flicks it off of her, but he begins to lose his grip on the rocks. Her labor pains start up again. He tells her to hang on and use his body as a ladder and climb up him to safety. She climbs up his back and reaches safety and then tries to help him as he is now barely hanging on. But while trying to find a vine, her pains start again and she passes out. He finally pulls himself up, his hands all bloody. He finds her and she comes to and he tells her that he needs to get her to a safer place while they wait for help. She asks what happened and feels bad for not helping him. She is also asking about Jack and Hope. He picks her up and carries her to a nearby cave as she begins to have contractions again. He goes to build a fire to keep away animals and serve as a smoke signal to the others. She calls out for Jack as Patrick brings her water. He corrects her, but she keeps calling him Jack and then begins to see him as well. She talks to “Jack” and then kisses him. She yells… “This is it!…the baby’s coming Jack!”…as the previews show…

A limo driver tells Chloe that “Vienna loves you”. She says “That is flattering, but my heart belongs to Brady Black”…

Nicole (to Brady): Me too…now we can pick up where we left off as she kisses him…

John (to Kate): Only the 2 of us understand the pain that the other is going through as they begin to kiss…cut to Roman and Marlena kissing as well…

Summary: As the rescue party searches for Jennifer, one of them is hurt badly; Brady stays true to Chloe and speaks to her just before a disaster happens; Kate and John decide to comfort each other in every way...; and Mimi finds comfort from her mom as a confused Rex arrives with good news...and the LONGEST previews ever to hold you over until after the Olympics....

IN VIENNA, Chloe's limo driver tells her how wonderful she was and how Vienna loves her. She closes the privacy window and says it's all very flattering, but her heart belongs to Brady Black. She remembers a warm moment between her and Brady when he never wanted to let her out of his arms and told each other they loved each other.

AT THE KIRIAKIS MANSION, Brady's swimming laps in the pool as Nicole steps outside to watch, carrying her token martini and wearing her token bikini and hip towel. She remembers Brady kissing her before as he spots her and is glad she's there. He tells her that kiss shouldn't have happened and she asks why he did it then. She pushes him back in the pool and he apologizes if she thought he was leading her on. She asks to join him and he reminds her it's her pool. She steps in commenting how cold it is and he dunks her, saying once you're all wet it's not so bad. She surfaces and tells him her top came off as she stands up with her back to him. She asks him to help her put it back on and he does so. He tells her she deserves better than this and Chloe is his girlfriend. She replies that Chloe is buffing baritones by the busload and never coming back. He deserves better. He won't be unfaithful to her even if she was to him. He picks up his cellphone to call her. We see Chloe is being driven to her next concert as the airplanes were grounded due to the heavy rain storm. Her cellphone rings and she sees by the id it's Brady and smiles as she answers the phone, saying his name. He tells her hi and we hear a loud truck horn as the driver swerves to miss it. Chloe is thrown across the back seat (don't they have seat belts in limos? Tsk tsk) and Brady only gets static.

AT BONNIE'S, Mimi pours her heart out to Bonnie and is confident she has cancer of the uterus and will die from it like Grandma did. Bonnie listens and is more a mom. She advises Mimi not to panic and see a doctor in the morning. The doorbell rings and it's Rex. Mimi tells her mom not to tell him what's going on and Bonnie takes the opportunity to say Shawn would be there for her (yeah, like he is for Belle, LOL?) Rex got her note that she's over there and asks if anything's wrong. The gals deny anything being wrong and Bonnie wanted Mimi to pick up the invisible younger brother tomorrow. Rex brings a paper out to cheer Meems up and smiles as he gives it to her. Bonnie rushes to see what it is as Mimi asks if he's kidding. Rex got an email that he had won a science contest to design a new thermos insulator. The manufacturer gets the rights, but in return he got enough to pay their rent and expenses for a while, as well as enough to pay for a romantic getaway for him and Mimi. He asks Mimi if she wants to go to Hawaii next winter. She tears up (wondering if she'll even be alive next winter) and says she'd love to. Bonnie comforts her crying daughter as Rex watches confused, not sure what's happening. They both claim it's a girl thing as Rex suggests they go home. Mimi tells her mom she'll call her tomorrow as Bonnie tells her daughter she loves her and hugs her. Bonnie prays to God not to let her baby die and if he has to take someone, take her.

AT BASIC BLACK, John finds Kate still working. She admits keeping “busy” and he confesses to doing the same to try and keep his mind off of Marlena. He doubts being able to get a good night's sleep until they recover Marlena's body (doesn't Kate wonder if Roman's is missing too?) She moans about how her future looks bleak without Roman as we hear thunder. She kisses him lightly and says good night as she should get home before the storm hits. Later the security guard tells John he's on his way up to check the roof as the security panel showed someone's up there. John knows who it is and said he'll check on it himself. Of course he finds Kate who's up on the chair strewn roof. She assures him she wasn't going to jump as she starts crying as the thunder rumbles. He tells her all he remembers about his past was being Stefano's assassin. They each tell each other how happy their spouses. She cries that they both lost their great loves and the center of their being. He softly tells her that only the two of them understand each other's pain. She puts her hands on his face as she knows that Roman and Marlena would want them to be happy and to work through this. Startled, he bends down and they kiss gently. ..then get really into it as he pulls off his shirt as the rain starts pouring down as he starts to undress Kate as he leans her into the building as they get lost in their emotions. (sure hope there isn't a security camera up there ;-)

ON THE ISLAND, Patrick has got a blazing fire going as he helps Jennifer (man, he should be on the next SURVIVOR series in September I think!!) She continues to be delirious and think he's Jack. Patrick realizes he needs to play along if that helps her, but she grows suspicious if Jack loves her anymore when he doesn't get too close. She complains about how bad it hurts (c'mon SCREAM to help the rescue party find them) as she continues her talk with “Jack”. She asks him to hold her and show her how much he loves her. Patrick leans in for a good kiss to do so (whatta guy!) Later she continues her banter worrying about Abby, etc., as Patrick/Jack assures her all will be ok. She remembers other frantic moments as she and Jack rescued each other and tells him they shared some amazing adventures. Starting to cry, she feels this will be her last as Patrick reminds her they're the daring Deveraux'. She asks him to kiss her again and he obliges as she pulls him to her. Contractions start again and she knows it won't be much longer. He takes her hands (where the heck IS Jack?) Patrick silently hopes that Hope is hurrying back to them. We see Hope and Abe going through the jungle as she finds her signals she left...as well as the person following them as they hide the signals Hope left with palm fronds.

At the force field, the frustrated rescue party swear as they can't break the force field. The observer uses their remote control for the force field and turns it off. Abe stops Roman from risking going through should they decide to turn it on again...which appears to be what would happen. Abe risks it first and the other 3 jump through as well, but the force field is turned back on right afterward. They wonder if they'll get back in again, but head off to find Jennifer. They search the jungle with their flashlights (love those supplied faux homes!), but Roman steps into a trap and falls in a pit anyway. Abe crawls down in to help him. They pull him out (does Marlena do chiropractic too?) and pulls off his shoe to look at his injury. They all concur Roman isn't going any further and Marlena offers to stay with him and Hope and Abe should go on ahead without them. Roman argues, but Marlena insists..only keeping necessary supplies for Roman's needs and giving them her medical bag to help the others. He asks what it looks like as we see her bloody hand. She pours some disinfectant over his foot as he insists on looking at it. She stops him by leaning in for a kiss, which does the trick. He pulls her into another steamy kiss...

as the OLYMPIC LENGTH previews for MONDAY, AUGUST 30TH (check back to this site on Friday, August 27th for the spoiler) roll....

Sami to Lucas...”This is the happiest day of my life, this day is perfect. I know that nothing could ever ruin it.” Lucas, what if I jinxed it and something awful happens?”

Lucas to Sami...”nothing bad's going to happen....as we see him answer the phone and saying “Brandon”. Sami walks out and says “Honey, who's on the phone?” Later he watches her talking on the phone as she says “Brandon, I'm glad you called and I love you too.” Lucas' mouth falls open.

We see Brady packing his suitcase. He tells Nicole he's flying to Vienna to be with Chloe. Nicole tells him he can't. Later he's on the phone saying “Chloe can not die!” Next we see a crying Nancy (welcome back Patrika...we've missed you and you look marvelous girl!!) telling Brady “Brady, she's gone, my baby's gone”.

Nicole eavesdrops and tells herself it doesn't matter how, as long as she's dead...

as we see Chloe all bandaged up and calling softly for Brady....

Belle: “Bleeding?”
Mimi” “I think I have cancer Belle.”

Philip to Belle “I have to be completely honest with you Belle. You are my mystery woman. I love you and I always will.” as we see Jan outside on the balcony with her camera catching it all for Shawn to see and smiling...as Shawn says he's got to stop it and apparently breaks out of the cage, his foot bleeding as he pries off the foot cuff and is going out the door as Jan says..”what do you think you're doing? He punches her in the face (ouch)...

Jennifer crying out in pain and the next scene holding a baby in Patrick's red shirt, thanking Patrick, saying it's a miracle...

Roman tells Marlena she knows he's going to die, doesn't she..as she looks morosely at him.

Kate tells John that Marlena and Roman are both dead and never coming back...

Bo looks at his computer vowing to find his Fancy Face as he knows she's alive..

Abe holds the person following them as Hope says they'll find out who their captor is now (it's gotta be Billie as small as the person is)...

Bo holds his head asking himself what this reminds him of....and it comes to him and he says “Oh my God” as he drops some papers on his desk

Kate tells John she needs him help and he promises to help her in any way he can...

Roman tells Marlena if he's going to die, she's the one he wants to be with...as she looks sadly into his eyes...

Kate tells John she needs him more than as a friend...and that Roman and Marlena would want them to go on without them...they'd want us to be there for each other and they'd want us to love each other....

Bo has a revelation...”Roman...and Marlena...they're alive...”

Roman to Marlena...”I want to make love to you”...

as we see John putting Kate on her desk (note they're both wearing different outfits from today) as Roman's picture gets swept onto the floor...as Bo walks in and says your husband and my brother, along with your wife..are still alive...as Kate faints in John's arms.

As we see Marlena and Roman passionately kissing in the jungle, Tony holds the framed picture of them asking if their loved ones will find them in time as he chuckles..and pulls off his black hood saying for them not to hold their breathes...

as a voice reminds everyone to tune back in on Monday, August 30th.

MONDAY, AUGUST 30TH, 2004

It is a new morning both in Salem & on the island, as Days gives us snippets of many of the characters’ lives to sort of catch us up. Brady learns of Chloe’s accident, Shawn is partially successful in his endeavors, Philip confesses, Jennifer’s fever leaves, Abe & Hope continue their journey, the parade of shirtless men continues,….you get the picture.

IN THE LOFT Philip comes downstairs, where Belle stands in her kimono. She regrets her actions of the night before, saying she went entirely too far. She claims the drink went to her head, along with the sounds of Mimi & Rex making love, & apologizes. She goes upstairs, comes down later dressed. Philip is in a tank top now, & tells her how pretty she looks. He admits having lied to her previously, that there is no mystery woman, that it is Belle he has loved all along, & moves in for a kiss. Belle responds. Jan is on the fire escape, gleefully filming it all to send back to Shawn.

Meanwhile, Shawn is still trying to extricate himself from his cage. Jan returns, taunts him about Belle & Philip. Shawn eggs her on, telling her to get more proof, & she leaves. Shawn uses the steel bar to pry the chain off his ankle tho he injures it in the process, causing it to bleed. (he has no shirt all this while, but DOES have socks on……too funny!) He then manages to pry the chain from the cage door, and frees himself, only to find the bedroom door locked.

BRADY IS FLYING TO Vienna to see Chloe, much to Nicole’s chagrin. She tries to talk him out of it, to no avail. She talks of having feelings for him and he admits beginning to have feelings for her. John enters at this point, hearing this. Nicole leaves the room, John & Brady talk for a bit. Brady explains having to go to Austria to see if Chloe has moved on or not. John leaves, telling him to have a good trip. Nicole comes back in, & Brady tells her he has to go.

Meanwhile in Austria, doctors & nurses are hovering over a bandaged up Chloe, worried about stopping the internal bleeding. Chloe keeps murmuring the name Brady, the doctor finds the name on her cell phone….and calls Brady, informing him of the accident, & that Chloe may not make it. Brady is horrified, exclaiming “Chloe can’t die!

AT BASIC BLACK Kate is remembering her encounter with John on the roof, and in he walks. They both apologize to each other, and talk of having to move on with their lives at some point. They both leave.

Sami is in her bathroom, admiring her ring, and spots Lucas standing at the table, having made breakfast for her. They are both very happy, they kiss, and in comes Kate. Sami leaves the room, Kate gives Lucas a hard time about Sami, but he is adamant about being happy with her. Sami comes out, takes her food and leaves again. Lucas tells Kate she needs a man in her life, and Kate mentions John. Lucas thinks it is a good idea, gives her some encouragement, and Kate leaves. Lucas begins to clear the table (lol, he has not even sat down to eat yet) & the phone rings. He answers, and is surprised to learn it is Brandon. Just then Sami comes out asking who is on the phone.

John & Kate both return to Basic Black. Kate tells him that she has decided to let Roman go, and needs his help. She talks of moving on with her life, and that John needs to do the same. She moves in for a kiss (she’s good at this seducing bit….guess she is remembering her past), talking of moving on. They kiss.

ON THE ISLAND Roman wakes up to find Marlena at his side. He seems to feel pretty good, but she tells him he has a bad infection, and he realizes he could possibly die. He tells her she was always the only one, talking of their twins and marriage. She tells him that if not for Stefano, they would probably still be together. He wants to make love to her before he dies. They embrace, kiss and begin to make love.
Abe & Hope are trying to make their way thru the jungle, when Abe realizes they probably have been going in circles, showing Hope a branch he had broken last nite. We see a person, wearing a straw hat with a big colored hankerchief or bandana covering their face (Oh, that is sooooooo ridiculous!) following them. Abe realizes someone is around, goes off with Hope, circling around behind the person, grabs the person, (looks small enough to be a female to me, as Hope prepares to pull off the kerchief.
Patrick is tending to Jen, who won’t wake up. He gets concerned, but she finally opens her eyes, asking immediately where Jack is. Patrick says he is not there, she claims he was, she saw him, & Patrick reassures her. She realizes she must have kissed Patrick, and he apologizes, saying she was so agitated, he did not know what to do, & was worried about her baby. Later, she is gasping in labor, and asks Patrick to promise her he will let her die

AT THE COP SHOP Bo sits at his computer, trying to get the signal back. Suddenly it comes on, and he ponders the familiarity of it. A lightbulb goes on, and he flashes back to a childhood scene Roman making up the secret code, showing little Bo how to spell Roman on it…and saying they could always talk to each other and no one would know what they were saying. Back to the present, as Bo begins to write down the letters. R-O-M-A-N. He continues on, then he gets up saying …Roman – Marlena…….they’re ALIVE! The camera freezes on his face…… and the previews show

Philip telling Belle that he wants to be with her, have a future with her

Well, if you liked today's show, you'll LOVE tomorrow's as it's pretty much a repeat. Guess the writers really wanted to make sure everyone was caught up after the two week break, haha. A few new scenes with Mimi and Rex at Java Cafe were thrown in too.

Previously on Days of Our Lives...(ooh, a new show opener...)

We see a flashback of Chloe's accident as the doctors work on her..then when she got in her limo after her performance and talking to Brady. Subtitles of the Austrian doctors worried about her low blood pressure and hoping she won't die. Unconscious, Chloe remembers when she and Brady were in the cabin and admitted loving each other before making love in front of the fire. The doctors pull off their gloves, saying there's no hope.

Back in Salem...Nicole's still trying to stop Brady from going to Austria and hugging him. He apologizes, breaking the embrace and leaves as Nicole cries. Guess he didn't get far as he answers the phones moments later to learn about Chloe's accident. The doctor tells Brady he doesn't think Chloe will live, but Brady tells him he doesn't understand, Chloe cannot die.

More flashbacks of Sami in her robe dreaming about Lucas' proposal as a shirtless Lucas pours her some coffee. She tells him she doesn't deserve to be with him, so how can she marry him. He tells her they will be together. She has another of her 50's flashbacks in black and white of her dressed like June Cleaver, pouring coffee to Ward, er, Lucas while the Beaver, oops, Will walks in proudly announcing to mother and father that he's almost finished his volcano science project for school. Back to reality, she's worried about if she jinxed their relationship as she had with Brandon and Austin. She goes to get dressed and kids him about him doing the dishes. Even though he cooked, he says this once he'll do the dishes too because he loves her as she thanks him and closes the door to change (why?). The phone rings and Lucas is surprised to find it's Brandon calling. Sami comes out, dressed and talks to Brandon.

Back to Jan taunting Shawn (didn't miss this crap for two weeks, that's for sure). She jaunts off to video Phil and Belle in bed as he breaks open his cage lock (excuse me..need another gulp of coffee to stay awake with these rerun flashbacks....guess if you missed the last couple of episodes or didn't surf summaries on the net you might not know this stuff happened, ha!). Shawn struggles to get out and seeing Philip kiss Belle and tell her he loves her, finds the energy to break the chain and find the door to the bedroom locked.

Phil confessing his feelings to Belle....as Jan lurks through the shears sending a live feed to Shawn. Shawn goes manic and using one of the bars from his cage, pulls open his door and rushes out. We see Philip and Belle kissing on the screen.

John popping in to see Kate and she has an important decision....to let Roman go and needs his help to do it. As her “friend” he'll help her in any way he can. She needs more then “friendly” help and needs to feel whole again...(phew..if anyone ever needed a COLD shower..it's Kate...John doesn't stand a chance, LOL)

Another flashback of Roman's getting hurt and asking for Marlena to tell him the truth about his infection. He tells an emotional Marlena that she has been and always will be his one true love. She asks about Kate and he admits loving Kate with all of his heart and always will, but regrets the day he let Marlena go and how they have two beautiful children together. Those were the happiest days of his life and crying, she says she feels the same way and if Stefano hadn't come into their lives, they'd still be together (personally, I like Josh Taylor, but if Wayne Northrup's Roman was telling Marlena that, I'd be more choked up) She's crying as he tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him too and doesn't want him to die. They fall to the ground.

Jennifer in labor talking to Patrick about letting her die to save the baby. She remembers something Lexie said and hands Patrick the knife to cut out the baby if she dies as she writhes in pain. Screaming, she asks him to tell Jack and her children how much she loves them. (Did Jennifer's belly expand over the two week break or is it my imagination?) He has her squeeze his hand as she screams (amazingly enough, Hope and Abe don't hear her, LOL!)

Hope and Abe lurking in the jungle as Abe grabs their stalker (captor?). She goes to unmask him and he/she struggles and gets away as Abe gets caught in a net. Hope stays with Abe and doesn't pursue. Later she gets him out of the net and they find the force field preventing them from getting any further to find Jennifer. She tells him about her and Bo's ability to stay in tune with each other, even while apart.

Mimi and Rex are at Java Cafe as she remembers her female problems. He asks why she's not eating and she asks what the point if she's dying? She covers, not telling him her suspicions, citing he look at what happened to Patrick, Belle and Shawn. He goes on about their Hawaii vacation as Mimi's mind wanders figuring she'll be dead by then. She tells him she can't go and he cites reasons she should as she cries. She asks for Green Tea which surprises Rex as she usually likes her mochas and lattes. She figures she needs to boost her immune system and stay healthy as he goes to get it and she calls for a rush doctor appointment.

Bo in his office promising to find his Fancy Face (time for another sip of coffee) as he listens to the recorded code he received after remembering why it sounded familiar. He deciphers the code and writes it out ..Roman and Marlena are alive. He calls John and Kate, but horny Kate urges John to ignore the phone and make love with her. She vows they'll both be dead inside if they keep up like this (the phone must've gone to voice mail). She continues kissing him as he finally caves and although the phone rings again, they both ignore it. John unties Kate's top and she's left in her black slip and pearls as the two of them fall on her desk (couldn't she have told him this in her apartment..with a lock on the door..or is it she knows John's fascination with making love in office buildings?) John's still fully dressed as Bo breaks in and surprised at what he finds, announces that Kate's husband, John's wife and his are all still alive.

ON THE NEXT DOOL....

Lucas asks Sami what that was all about and what the hell did Brandon want....?

Jan walks towards her cage room, wondering how Shawn liked the Belle and Philip video when she sees he's broken out. She screams NO, OH NO....

Bo asks Kate if she doesn't want his brother to be alive so she could make a play for him (pointing at John)...

Marlena tells Roman they won't let him die and he weakly responds..it's too late....

More repeating of various scenes, w/things barely moving along. This is like watching summer reruns. LOL Sami’s phone chat w/Brandon doesn’t set well w/Lucas, Bo tries to convince John & Marlena of his findings, Shawn continues his escape attempts, while Mimi calls on Belle for moral support.

Lucas once more answers the phone to Brandon, but this time asking what the call is all about. Sami comes out, takes the phone, and Lucas overhears her lenghthy chit chat w/Brandon. His cell phone is cutting in and out, she hangs up. Lucas questions her, and they argue, w/Sami saying she is just happy he still wants to talk to her. Brandon calls back, and she resumes chatting away about Will, & rather mundane things, as Lucas paces. Sami goes on and on (looks like Lucas is no longer there), and she does not notice….lol, & finally she asks Brandon exactly why he called. Later we see her saying “I’ll think about it”, and she hangs up. (Maybe she will now notice Lucas has left!)

Another replay of Philip telling Belle she is his mystery woman, how he loves her, Jan video-taping thru the window, Shawn breaking out of his ankle chain, the cage and finally the bedroom door. Ho, Hum(Boy, they sure are getting a lot of mileage out of these scenes, lol). . Belle gets an emergency call from Mimi, & leaves, disappointing Jan, who leaves too. Shawn finally gets outside, leather jacket, shoes & all, (wonder where he found them, lol), manages to find his bike in the garage (now HOW did he know Jan had moved it there, and wonder when she did that? Lolol). He tries to start it, to no avail. Finally it turns over, but dies out once again. He looks down to see his foot bleeding thru his socks. Meanwhile, Jan has returned, sees the empty cage, yells, no, no, and goes looking for Shawn. She hears the bike ignition turn over, and goes to the garage, calling Shawn’s name. He is lamely hiding behind a small wall about 6 inches away from her. (Can someone PLEASE put us all out our misery and end this travesty of a storyline?)

At the Java Café, Mimi is calling Lexie for an appointment. She lies to Rex about who was on the phone, saying it was Belle. She takes her tea & leaves. She calls Belle, asking her to meet her at the hospital, and then later, after meeting her there, tells Belle she thinks she has cancer. (Kudos to Farah Fath, she does good job here). She explains why she doesn’t want to tell Rex yet. Belle tells her how Philip has told her that she is his mystery woman, & they talk about Shawn. Belle still loves him, but Mimi tells her she should move on, Shawn is not returning, and life is too short not to enjoy it.

Replay of Roman & Marlena kissing, & starting to make out. Abe & Hope arrive, with Abe asking what is going on? They learn Roman’s foot has infected, all of Marlena’s antibiotics have not worked, and Roman may die. Abe says maybe that was the plan all along, to kill us off one by one, Ten Little Indians (Hmmm, that is the 2nd or 3rd time Agatha Christie’s mystery has been mentioned). Roman is very weak, murmurs for them all to go & help the others & passes out. (gee….if he & Marlena had continued making love………???? Lolol) Marlena cries, & says Roman still has a pulse, but is burning up with fever. Hope goes for some water, while Abe lectures Marlena, reminding her that tho John & Kate think they are dead, she & Roman know they are still alive, and are still married to their spouses. Marlena claims to just offering Roman some comfort, with him being so ill, and says that things were not right between her and John back in Salem, and he may not even want to be married to her any longer. (Oh, yeah, right!) Abe & Hope leave to resume their search for Jennifer.

Yep, we have a rerun of the John/Kate makeout session on the desk, with Bo bursting in asking what the heck is going on, & declaring that Roman & Marlena are alive, and he has the evidence to prove it. Kate nearly passes out, but recovers. Bo explains the secret code he & Roman devised as kids (gee, always thought Roman was a lot older than Bo….hmmm.) and how he realized that was the signal. He tells them the message….Marlena is alive, Roman is alive. Bo & John argue, as both John & Kate are skeptical, and just cannot believe it. Bo & John continue to argue, but John says then let’s go down to the “ cop shop” (love their use of the EE nickname) to check the signal out. They leave, and Kate picks up Roman’s picture off the floor, & says she wishes he could really be alive. Lucas comes in, asking his mom if she wants to go to dinner or something. Kate realizes Sami has done something, & Lucas tells her that Brandon called, he heard Sami’s end of the conversation, and she told Brandon she loved him. Kate goes on a rant, of course, imploring Lucas to not let Sami hurt him again.

Rex returns home, sees Philip in the hall taking garbage out. They argue big time about Belle & Shawn, with Philip saying he finally told Belle how he feels, and Rex berating him for betraying his best friend. Philip says if Shawn was there, he’d punch his teeth in for the way he has treated Belle, & Rex says he will be glad to stand in for Shawn and defend the Brady honor. (!!!) They agree to take it outside and duke it out…..and get in the elevator. (Must be a setup for another shirtless scene for them both, lol)

At the cop shop, Bo shows John the signal, and his deciphering. He convinces John that if there is the slightest chance any of their loved ones are alive, they have to do all they can to find them. John agrees, and they sit down to try and figure out the location of the signal. Freeze frame……. and the previews of the next episode roll…….

Abe asks Hope how she’d feel if Bo thought she was gone and ……Hope replies, “You mean if Bo moved on w/another woman. Is that what you’re asking me?”

John tells Bo, as Tek comes in, that soon they will know the location of your signal

Philip asks Belle to let him take her away and show her what a beautiful relationship they can have…what a beautiful future. Then asks, “What do you say?”

Summary: Things are finally beginning to move…in real Salem as well as fake Salem. Mimi is examined by Lexie…Rex and Philip get physical…Nancy pays a visit to Brady bearing sad news…Bo works to find the source of the signal, as Celeste seems to be the only one to believe in him…Abe and Hope continue to search for Jen and Patrick…A mysterious figure ruins the transmitter (and yes, we see who it is).

At the Hospital…Mimi and Belle continue to talk as Lexie comes in to examine her and Mimi asks if Belle can stay with her. Meanwhile, Celeste shows up at the hospital and gasps as she has a vision of Abe wielding a machete. He speaks to her, telling her he is not dead and not to let Lexie break her marriage vows. In the examining room Belle urges Mimi to come clean with Rex and tell him what’s going on, but she says she can’t and makes Belle promise not to tell either. We don’t hear/see any more of the exam, but only them leaving as a delivery guy brings Lexie a huge bouquet of red roses. The card asks if she is free tonight and signed by “guess who”. Lexie calls Tek and accepts his date as they plan to go to the movies. Celeste walks in and tells her that Abe would not approve. Lexie rolls her eyes, telling her she doesn’t want to hear it, but Celeste keeps on, telling her to stop before it’s too late. Lexie reminds her that Abe is dead, but Celeste says she is wrong, he is alive “dahling”…and he isn’t the only one.

Rex and Philp take it outside… giving them the opportunity to strip their shirts off (like the need a reason?) and play one on one basketball. They continue to bicker and insult each other as their game gets more and more physical. Rex throws the ball and hits Philip in the gut and they get into a brawl…only to be broken up by Mimi and Belle. Mimi sees that Rex is bleeding and breaks down. He wants to know what is wrong, but she won’t tell him. At first he thinks she is seeing someone else, but she denies it. Then he thinks she is upset because of Patrick, which she agrees. He tells her that he loves her and wants to grow old with her as they hug. Meanwhile, Philip explains to Belle why they were fighting and how Rex took Shawn’s side. Belle tells Philip she doesn’t want to rush into anything (as she hears Mimi’s advice to go for it). Philip tells Belle he has a leaving coming up and asks her to go away with him, no pressure, and as a friends so they can work things out. Belle is conflicted, but finally agrees to go as they hug as well.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…Nicole asks Brady about Chloe as he explains what happened. He says he must go to her as he has a flashback of when she had leukemia. Nicole says it may be too late but he is determined. He calls the Titan jet to make arrangements, but finds out that because of heightened international terror alert, flight plans have to be filed 48 hours in advance and he is furious. The doorbell rings as he answers it to find Nancy Wesley in tears. (Wow, Patrika looks great) They hold each other as she tells him that her baby is gone…Chloe is dead. They hold each other as she explains that she had to tell him in person and that the doctors did all they could to save her. Nicole offers her condolences and leaves them alone (but listens from the door). Nancy assures Brady that Chloe loved him with every breath she took and that the tabloid rumors were false. Nicole listens, thinking it doesn’t matter as long as she is dead. (what a cold remark). Nancy tells Brady that she and he have a lot in common, neither of them had much time with Chloe (as Nancy has a flashback of when she first found Chloe at the orphanage and asked her to come home with her). She thanks Brady for loving Chloe and encouraging her to follow her dreams. Brady also has flashbacks of when she left. Both are now crying as Nancy goes to leave. Brady wants to go with her, but she says no, the flight is completely booked. She won’t listen to him and rushes out as he pleads with her. She hugs him and tells him there is nothing he can to but to go to the church instead and light a candle for Chloe…their new guardian angel. With that she leaves, with Brady upset and confused as Nicole watches him. She comes outside and offers him a hug.

On Salem Island… Abe and Hope are making their way through the jungle searching for Jen and Patrick. They stop for a minute as Hope prays that Bo got the signal. Abe gets upset thinking about Lexie moving on and suggests that maybe that is all part of their captor’s plan. He asks how she would react if she found out that Bo moved on. Hope is sure it would never happen, Bo wouldn’t give up on her. Abe asks her after he was gone, how was Lexie doing? Later, they reach the ravine where she left Jen and Patrick, but they see the ledge is gone as they both are yelling for them. Abe hears something (was it Jen screaming?…sounds like a bird squawking) and tells Hope to come on and they rush off.

At the Faux Penthouse…Doug is still there guarding the device as we see a figure hooded in black watching. A remote control is used which makes the doorbell ring. Doug goes to the door, but no one is there. He sees the elevator door closing and then it stops. He takes the stairs, thinking someone is trapped in the elevator. While he is gone, the figure picks up a picture of Roman and Marlena and asks “will your loved ones find you in time?…don’t hold your breath” and turns around…yes, it’s Tony. He walks over to the device, calling it “a little science project” and smashes it, taking a piece of it. He calls someone on the phone, telling them it is done and now the plan can proceed. Doug returns and the front door is locked. He is sure he didn’t even close the door. Tony uses the remote and the door opens as he hides. Doug comes in to find the transmitter smashed to pieces, asking “who would do this?”

At the Cop Shop…Bo, John and Tek are working to find the source of the signal. Bo had deciphered the part about Roman and Marlena, but couldn’t figure out the rest. John and Tek are pessimistic and can’t understand how either of them could be alive, but Bo is sure of it as he continues to work. Tek logs into the ISA computer as Bo looks at Hope’s picture, saying he can FEEL she is alive as well. They get a satellite photo of a general region, but can’t pinpoint the source. John’s guess is that the signal is coming from the Caribbean. Later, the signal suddenly stops (this is when Tony smashes the transmitter). Bo tries to get it back, but John tells him it is over. Bo refuses to give up, saying that Roman and Marlena are alive. A voice says “they aren’t the only ones” as they all turn to see Celeste and Lexie entering. Lexie says “go on Mom…tell them”. Celeste explains that she has been having strong feelings and vibrations about Marlena being alive and being with the other “dead of Salem”. She is sure that every single one of them is alive. Freeze frame on 2 faces…John with a disbelieving look…and Bo with a hopeful one…as the previews show…

Patrick (holding the knife): Jennifer, this the only chance your baby has…as she screams…

Jan (to Shawn): What do you think you are doing?…as he punches her in the face…

Lucas (to Sami): You were on the phone with Brandon when I left…what the hell was THAT all about?…

Tek: Lexie is right…all the victims were dead, this has to be some kind of vicious, sick hoax. Bo: Roman, Marlena and all the rest of them are ALIVE! (as John stares at him)…

And the credits roll…

Summary: Lots going on in tomorrow's show as the OLD Salemites learn about Chloe's death and go to her memorial service and Shawn's brain apparently is leaking through his foot as he can only think about finding Belle...In NEW Salem Jennifer finally has her baby (and yes, we find out what sex it is) as the senior residents worry about if they're the only ones left.

LUCAS returns back to Sami's apartment and confronts her, saying it looks like she's doing some heavy thinking. He doesn't buy Brandon just calling to see how she is and wants to know what was with her “I love you too” comment. She justifies that Brandon was a big part of her life at one time and yeah, she does miss him. He asks whatsupwiththat and she explains she's trying to do what he wanted, putting her past behind her and being the kind of person he wanted her to be when they got married. Belle calls and tells her about Chloe (see below).

JAN finds Shawn's bike is still in the shed and opens the back door to find Shawn standing there. Cue the Jack Nicholson voice as he says “hello Jan”. Nervously she asks him what he's doing and he asks if she remembers the first time he tried to escape, she told him to beat the hell out of her the first time he had a chance? Well....and he right punches her in the face, knocking her out cold. He limps to his bike, it fires right up this time..and leaves. Later Jan wakes up with a sore jaw, determined not to lose him. She tells “sweetie pie” she'll find him.

MIMI AND REX walk back to the loft as they argue about Belle and Philip going to Green Mountain Lodge. They overhear Rex urging Belle to get away and relax. The phone rings and Philip tells Belle she can't think it's Shawn every time the phone rings. It's Brady (now wearing a black suit and Nicole in a black dress) with bad news. Of course she asks if it's Shawn, but Brady tells her no, it's Chloe and that she's dead. Before telling Rex, Mimi or Philip apparently (Chloe's friends), Belle calls Sami and they overhear as she tells Sami that Chloe was killed in a car crash in Vienna and Brady's having a memorial service for her at the church. Sami doesn't feel Brady would want her there, but Belle justifies she's family and besides, she needs to speak with her about something. Crying, she hangs up and sees how upset Philip is. He tells her that Chloe was his first love and he was a jerk, obsessive and jealous of her. Brady deserved Chloe as he was strong and patient with her. Belle tells Philip “ just like you are with me.” Crying she tells him it's horrible as Brady and Chloe had their whole life together. Mimi watches as Philip and Belle fall into a comfort hug and flashes back to her own problem, then going into Rex's arms.

AT THE COP SHOP, CELESTE insists all murder victims are still alive as Bo believes her after deciphering his and Roman's secret code. John doesn't look like he's buying it as Lexie wants more information. Lexie realizes she mispronounced all of them dead and can't believe it. Tek thinks it's a hoax. John rationalizes that Stefano extracted their secret code and is using it now. Tek believes that could be possible. Tek reminds Lexie he was with her when she pronounced some of them dead. John knows that Marlena was. Bo suggests they exhume the rest of the bodies to confirm their suspicions (about time). The others don't agree, but Bo pursues his logic and John refuses to help convince people to sign the exhumation requests. Lexie offers to sign the papers for Abe's and Bo said he'll approve Roman's. John reminds him that Kate was Roman's wife and looking John in the eye, Bo acknowledges that yes, she was. Bo asks if he'll ask her and John agrees to. Bo calls Judge Fitzpatrick (knows the number by heart, haha).

MAGGIE and ALICE are at the pub, worrying about Jen. Maggie knew how weak Jennifer was (was Jennifer's pregnancy high risk at the time Maggie was murdered, or is she going on what she's heard?) Alice knows there's nothing they can do but pray. They wonder if Jack found Jennifer and remember how Jack's love helped Jennifer through Abby's birth. Later we see Caroline and Victor with them. Victor was going to join Doug, but Doug walks in and tells them about someone walking into the penthouse and destroying the transmitter. They don't know if the signals ever got through. We return to them all sitting at a table after Doug tells what happened and they speculate what's happening out in the jungle, hoping they aren't being punished for trying to escape. We return later as they wonder about Cassie. They haven't seen her in days. Doug mentions she and Tony have been together (hmm...makes sense). They wonder if they are the only survivors on the island left.

BRADY is at the church and flashes back to the goodbye scene with Chloe at the airport again. Frustrated he shouldn't have let her go or should have been with her and this wouldn't have happened. Nicole comforts him. The loft foursome arrive, as do Sami and Lucas. (Everybody looks gorgeous). Sami tells Brady how sorry she is and knows how much he loved Chloe...then comments to Nicole how she knows Nicole's anxious to jump his bones now (LOL..Sami, Sami). Softly she apologizes and Brady goes into management mode and suggests they all go into the church.

MIMI gets a cell call, remembering Lexie's promise to call as soon as the results come back. She urges the other to go ahead. It's Jan asking if Belle has heard from Shawn. Mimi tells her no and that they're all at St. Lukes for Chloe's memorial service. Jan is surprised to find “ghoul girl” is dead, but Mimi tells her to stay away, she's not welcome. Jan figures if Belle's at the church, that's where Shawn would go and will go there to head him off at the pass.

SHAWN staggers out of the loft elevator and looks for his key. He opens the door and says NO as no one is home. (Everyone has cleaned up, changed and gone to the memorial service already.) Calling Belle's name out, he limps around her loft looking for her (get a grip Shawn, call the cop shop and tell your dad what happened!!) He picks up the picture of Belle and Philip, hangs up the phone (must have called her cell) and leaves. Next we see him going into Bo and Hope's house and finding the house empty. He picks up their phone and first calls Hope's cell and gets no answer or voice mail. He then calls Bo's cell (which is busy as he's talking to the Judge) and says “Dad, hey, it's me. Do you know where Belle is. Just call me as soon as you get this message and where's mom cuz her phone isn't working either” (don't you think he would mention being kidnapped all summer and oh, WHERE to call him as he obviously doesn't have a cell phone, LOL!!, but I digress) He decides to go back to Belle's apartment (hey, take a shower and change first!) and leaves.

BO gets off the phone and gets Shawn's message. Guess he must have caller ID as he knew Shawn was calling from home and calls there. The babysitter had just returned with Zack from the park, saying Shawn's not there.

BRADY calls John and tells him about Chloe. John tells him he'll be at the memorial service (better hurry). After telling everyone at the cop shop what happened, John said he'll pick up Kate on the way to the church, but doesn't want to worry others about this yet.

Back outside the church again ???, BRADY AND NICOLE talk. She knows how difficult this is for him. She acknowledges how he has been the rock in her own life and wants to return the favor by supporting him now. She offers “special loving comfort” if he needs it, they're under the same roof after all. We all know what she means, but he doesn't as he thanks her and they go inside (again).

Flowers and a huge portrait of Chloe are on the altar as Rex worries about Mimi. She knew how Chloe was so young and had found the love of her life. Philip tells Lucas that Shawn will have a fight on his hands if/when he returns and by the time he and Belle return from GML, they'll be together. Sami and Belle talk privately and Belle insists she and Philip are not going to share a room. Sami encourages her differently as Jan walks in dressed as a nun and hides out in the confessional. She has a shot all ready to give Shawn when he arrives and he'll be all hers again. (even she knows Shawn isn't smart enough to go to the cop shop, report what happened and have his father arrest her) Later Sami tells Belle about Brandon's call and Sami said something about starting over now. Belle asks what about Lucas, and close by, Lucas asks the same question.

SHAWN staggers into Belle's loft and after taking his one bloody tennis shoe off, falls asleep on the couch. (seems like riding that motorcycle would be hard with an injured right foot?)

JENNIFER is still in labor on the island and finally out of those jeans, which are now draped to her knees as Patrick coaches her to PUSH. He watches and doesn't touch her as she screams she needs help as he tells her the shoulders are through. He picks up the knife, knowing it's the only chance her baby has as she screams again (OUCH). We return as Jen gives a couple more yowzas....and Patrick delivers her baby BOY . Upset she can't hear him crying, Patrick figures he's not breathing and pays more attention. Jennifer watches and prays to God for Patrick to save her son. We hear a baby crying and wrapped in his shirt, he hands her son to her. Jennifer snuggles her son, crying in relief. Later Patrick is concerned about all the blood. Jen is weak, but happy she and the baby are both alive. (where the heck is Jack????) Jennifer is still in pain and he tells her she's still bleeding and he can't stop it. They have to pray Hope returns with medical supplies soon. Jennifer worries she might die as the baby starts crying...

and the previews for the next DOOL...

Bo has a map of the island he thinks all their loved ones are at. (Want to guess the island's name? You remember AREMID (DiMera backwards). This island is MELASWEN (yup, New Salem backwards, LOL!)

Jan has Nicole in her confessional, tells her about Shawn escaping and she needs to get him back in his cage.

Roman weakly tells Marlena he has so much to say to her, about asking her to make love with him.

Lucas asks Sami if she was given the choice...would she choose Brandon or him?
