Summary: The aftermath of Roman’s death…Tony is captured as almost everyone has a potshot at him…one has an attack and a few almost go off the deep end.

The Aftermath…
Outside, John and Bo fight with the hooded figure as he tries to run as Hope (with a gun in each hand) holds him at bay, threatening to blow him away. Yes, it is Tony as Bo asks what he is doing out there. Tony says if he told them, they wouldn’t believe him. Bo says he is there trying to kill Roman. They all hear Kate’s screams from inside and rush in. We see Kate standing there drenched in blood as everyone is in shock as Celeste replays her vision, saying “it’s happening…someone is dead”. John, Hope and Bo rush inside, asking what is going. Bonnie tries to explain that it is the cake, but Kate finally utters “Roman” and points towards the kitchen. Bo, John and Hope rush in there, followed by Marlena and Sami. John says “Oh my God” when he sees the puddle of blood and pulls back the table cloth revealing Roman’s bloody body undearneath. Sami and Marlena both begin screaming, holding onto each other (looks like they almost fall down). Next scene, Lexie is in there checking him and tells them that he died just a short while ago, then shows them the miniature bride and groom and tells them it was stuffed in his mouth.

In the other room, everyone is in shock. Sami and Marlena are tyring to comfort each other both crying and hugging as Chloe holds tight to Brady. Nicole says to Victor that she was watching people and some of them didn’t seem too upset. Victor asks if she is proud of herself and she says she did what she had to (flashback of her burning the envelope). She says she saved their collective asses and now wants to go home. Kate is a mess, not even realizing that Roman is dead. She keeps trying to clean the blood off of her. Philip and Lucas are at her side trying to comfort her. Bo comes out and attacks Tony, with Shawn, Brady and Philip trying to pull him off. They finally calm him down, with Hope finally being the voice of reason. Victor tells Nicole that she is lucky and it looks like Tony will take the fall (as Brady overhears). She wriggles her way out of it, saying that maybe now no one will suspect her. A cop comes in with a Samauri (sp) sword an they think that is the weapon used. Now it’s Lexie’s turn as she lights into Tony, shaking him and yelling hysterically with Celeste and Hope having to pull her away and try to calm her down. Lexie goes to the car to get her medical bag (not sure why). John finds Sami and Marlena crying together and tries to console them, but Sami jumps him, saying it is all his fault and she is sure that he is happy that her dad is gone. He tries to calm her down, but she lashes out at him then storms off. Kate is convinced that Roman is still alive and is looking for him to come out of the kitchen as Lucas and Phil worry about her. Nicole wants to leave, but is stopped at the door. She tells Victor that she needs a bloody mary, but feels that this is not the appropriate time or place to order one (she is SO bad). Bo and Shawn go to check on PopShawn, who gets all worked up (crying about Caroline and Roman) and grabs his chest and hits the floor. Hope calls for Lexie who comes rushing over with her bag and they work with him. He was only hyperventilating and says he is okay. Now Rex goes to Tony and lashes out at him, blaming him for killing his father.

Bo has give Tek the wedding video to examine. Lexie offers Kate a sedative, but Lucas had just gotten her a brandy and she refuses. Lexie tries to get Kate to leave and go home and rest, but she refuses to leave without Roman. She is in shock and still in denial that he is dead. Nicole taunts Victor about PopShawn having an attack and says she bets he wishes he would have died sooner, then he could have had his precious Caroline. Victor stares at her and calls her a heartless bitch (no argument here). Brady and Chloe are allowed to leave and Mickey asks if he can take Bonnie home. She doesn’t want to go home alone, so Mickey offers to take her to his house. Before he leaves, Brady and Belle talk, both of them worried about Marlena and Sami. Belle is afraid that Sami may go off the deep end. Sami is alone in the bathroom crying when Marlena finds her. She turns on her mom, saying it’s all Marlena & John’s fault that her dad is dead. She says she tried to warn them, but no one would listen to her. She goes on hysterically, babbling about Will and Brandon (couldn’t understand it all…but Ali does a great job). She talks how she will never hear dad call her “peanut” again. She lashes out and slaps Marlena with the bouquet saying it’s all her fault and then rushes off. After she leaves, Marlena picks up the bloody bouquet and drops it in the trashcan. Nicole badgers Victor to get them the hell out of there, since others are leaving. Victor asks Bo and he lets them go. Before leaving, Victor offers his condolences to Kate and tells her if she needs anything to call. He tells Philip and Lucas to watch after her. Sami comes storming in and verbally attacks Tony, with Marlena following her. Marlena slaps Tony, saying he is worse than his father ever was and she despises him. Marlena storms off, followed by Sami. After they are gone, Tony turns and smiles at John. (Gave me chills.)

Mimi gets water for PopShawn and stays with him while Bo and Hope talk with Tek. They saw nothing on the tape, but Bo wants some HARD evidence on Tony. Rex comes over and talks to PopShawn, who gets up and hugs him hard, saying he loves him. He says that he is his grandson, he loves him and always will, then hugs him again. Rex looks as if he is about to cry. Kate, still in shock, is still trying to clean the blood off of her an waiting for Roman to come out so they can leave for their honeymoon (good job on Lauren’s part too. Her performance is heartbreaking). Lexie and Celeste stare at Tony as Lexie asks her mom IF he is the killer…is it all over now? But Celeste swears she is seeing no more visions. Marlena and Sami are now at a table and she is still trying to calm Sami down. John goes over, telling them they need to go home and rest. But Marlena lashes out at him telling him NOT to tell her what to do. He asks “what did you say?” and she says “You heard me…it is YOUR fault that Roman is dead” as John stares at her in shock.

Rex tell Mimi that for the first time in his life, he has felt the love of a family…Roman was his father and now he will never know him (okay, it’s official, I am beginning to like Rex now) and Mimi hugs him. Celeste asks Tony if it was him, but he just stares at her.

At Mickey’s House…
She is taking a shower as Mickey brings her some pajamas. He picks up Maggie’s picture and has to choke back the tears as Bonnie comes out clad in a towel. She says she feels better now but still doesn’t want to go home alone. (Conner is at a friends house). Mickey tells her she can stay there in his bed, he will take the guest room. He tells her if she needs anything to whistle, as she says she knows how to do that…just put her lips together and blow. After he leaves, she smiles.

Brady and Chloe…
are now home as they talk about Roman and how no one is promised more time. Brady says he should have never let her go and they talk about how much time they lost. He never wants to let her go again. Later, they are in bed kissing as they talk about their evening. Brady talks about how sick Tony must be. Chloe asks if he is sure it was him. He says it must be, no one else is that twisted and consumed with hatred. Nicole is listening at the door and whispers to herself “Evil is in the eye of the beholder, Brady…NO ONE is going to stop me from getting what I want”.

Back at Tuscany...
John tells Marlena that he had nothing to do with Roman’s death but she says that Roman was in danger and she didn’t want him to go through with the wedding, but John convinced her otherwise. So she kept quiet. Sami jumps in calling John an evil bastard. Marlena says that she listened to him and now her “HUSBAND” is dead (hmmmmm) and storms off. They wheel Roman’s body out of the kitchen, Kate rushes over as Marlena and Sami do as well, crying. Lucas tries to stop Kate, but she goes anyway and pulls back the sheet. Kate tells him that she loves him and asks how can she go on without him as she takes his hand. She leans down over him but Bo pulls her away as everyone stares at Tony. Bo yells for them to get him the hell out of there. As they are leading him away, Tony shouts “It’s not over…Roman won’t be the last to die”. Freeze frame on the faces of Bo, Hope and Kate as the previews roll…

On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

Bo (looking in a folder) tells Hope: “My brother was keeping a file on me” Hope: “What kind of file?” Bo: “what the HELL?”…

Sami tells Lucas she is afraid to be alone and asks him to stay with her…

Belle and Shawn are talking at the loft (as Jan is hiding in the pantry). Belle yells “Shawn, LOOK!”…

John and Marlena are at the penthouse as he asks her “Do you not want me to be her…do you want me to move out?…”

…and the credits roll…

Summary: Some are comforted, some are shun as wedding guests return home.

COP SHOP..Hope knows she can't make Bo feel better as he mourns both his mom and his brother, but tries to assure him that at least no one else can be killed as they caught Tony, the serial killer.. He hangs Roman's picture in the shroud of fame and remembers Tony's last (and just about only) words that there will be more deaths to come. Hope assures Bo that Tony will be convicted, but he vows to kill Tony first. Bo tells Hope that Roman was more then his brother, he was his friend and his conscience. Bo gets a call from the commissioner offering his sympathy and asking him to take over as acting police commander. Bo asks if he can talk to his wife about it first and get back to him (especially being the last two commanders were killed within months of each other). Bo tells Hope, saying he can't take his brother's place. Bo asks what advice would Abe and Roman give him if he could ask them. He tells her to get his family together and get the hell out of Salem (LOL, good answer Bo!)...then knows they'd tell him to stop whining and get the job done and make Salem a safe place to live again. Looking at Roman's picture he vows to do just that in his honor and to protect, defend and serve the people he loved. Bo calls the commissioner back and agrees to be acting commander. He turns around to see a file that Roman was keeping on him just lying on the bookcase behind him. It's a history of Bo's days on the force and Roman's positive report on him. He reads how Roman says he's proud to be his brother.

KIRIAKIS MANSION.. Nicole staggers downstairs at the mansion, still wearing her red sparkly gown (hmm..how many of you out there would have changed into your jammies and robe by now, it's the middle of the night!) to get a drink. The study is all lit and fire crackling still. She looks at her hand and sees blood dripping off it, but a second look finds nothing there. As she shakily pours her drink, Victor (also still in Tux, LOL) joins her commenting her shaky hands are sign of a guilty conscience and asks if she killed Roman as she had Colin. She warns him to not get in her way or maybe he'll be the next one whacked.

TUSCANY..Meanwhile, Sami tears into Kate about her father being killed because of her. Lucas tries to stop her as Marlena shuns John from talking to her. She explains she has to call Eric and Carrie and tell them about their dad's death. He offers to do it for her, but she steps off to do it herself. Concerned about her mom's behavior, Belle asks John if everything will be okay with him and her mom, hoping they aren't going to break up. Celeste watches them, predicting more tears and pain in “your” future. Belle rushes up to Marlena who says she only got Carrie's answering machine and didn't want to leave a message on it. She has to call Eric now. Belle asks her to wait and needs assurance that she and dad aren't going to break up first. She tells her that Brady, Dad and her are Marlena's family now as Marlena tries to explain that Roman was her husband before stepping off to call Eric. Sami rushes up and yells at Belle that her father is to blame for all this, can't she see that?

Shawn tells Belle he knows Sami's speaking out of hurt while Mimi tries to comfort Rex, saying Tony's behind bars and no one else will be killed. Celeste joins them and fears that's not true. Lucas succeeds in keeping Sami from Kate by pulling her aside to talk. He tells her to think of someone else for a change and to take Will home and comfort him. She asks about Lucas and he forbids her from making him choose between his mother and his son and Will knows he's there for him. Kate confides to Philip that she promised to help Roman with Sami being she's family now. She had thought she'd have Roman at her side while doing so, but has to keep her promise.

Kate changed out of her blood gown (CSI probably wanted it too) into in a red and black dress, and fingers her bracelet. Rex goes to see Kate and Mimi talks to Shawn. She tells Shawn about Celeste's predictions. Rex joins her and comments on the lovely bracelet and knows his father had good taste. She tells him about it and how she'll never take it off. Lucas rushes over, worried that Rex is bothering his mother, as does Philip. Kate tells them Rex was being very sweet to her and asks her 3 sons to please try and get along as she needs them all now. She softly tells Rex to call her if he needs anything. Smiling, he repeats that to Mimi, saying she sounded like a mother. Mimi smiles at that and tells him she's not family, but girl friends are good for something too and wants to take him home and be alone with him. Shawn and Belle confirm they're going back to Belle's loft too.

Sami hugs Marlena as they both go to leave and a confused John tries to talk with Marlena. She snaps at him about his not understanding that she just lost her husband and father of her children. He reminds her he is her husband and father of their daughter, but she walks off. Sami also takes a last verbal stab at him as she leaves, blaming him again.

Celeste overhears two officers talking about bagging a samarai sword as evidence and how CSI techs will take all night collecting the blood evidence on slides. They walk away leaving the “evidence” (the sword) on the table unguarded (LOL).

THE LOFT...We see a woman in heels open the loft door and go inside. She picks up the framed picture of Belle and Shawn and holds it so tight the glass breaks (must be Jan). Later we return to see it is Jan as she tells Shawn's picture that Belle can't give him what he needs like she can. She proceeds to take off her clothes in the kitchen. We return to her wearing only the negligee that Belle opened on Christmas Eve, saying she knows she looks better than Belle would and can't wait for him to see her in it, though she appears to be starting without him ;-)

Later we return to find Shawn and Belle home. Jan's hiding in the closet. Shawn's shirtless and she's got her hair in braids and wearing her purple pjs. She sees something as he goes to get the whistling teakettle. She sees the broken glass on their picture. He remembers they left the freehomepages (sure, it's freezing outside and snow, but you leave the freehomepages??) and figures the window blew it over. She feels it's an omen with all that's happening in Salem and maybe tonight is the last night they have together. She wonders if they should be together tonight after all. He tells her they'll be together, but not tonight, not this way. She tells him there's no guarantee to knowing your future..but outside Jan tells herself she knows the future (please, let her be the next victim).

Across the hall Mimi is wearing a white negligee (ooh la la) and comforts Rex. He comments how he use to hate Roman Brady, but he turned out to be a nice guy and all the people he cares about are being taken away from him. Mimi promises to always be there for him as they fall to the bed and he asks her to help him forget.

SALEM INN.. Kate returns to her room at the Inn where they were going to spend their first night together as husband and wife. Rose pedals cover the bed as she tells Philip and Lucas how romantic Roman was. Lucas asks Kate to come back home with him, but she refuses. Philip got permission to spend the night off base and will sleep on the couch. Lucas wants to do that too, but Kate feels he's needed at home for Will. He agrees that Sami's not the best at comforting others.

Later Kate is in bed telling Philip her love is gone forever, but Chloe is alive and beautiful. She encourages him to go after the one he loves.

SAMI'S APARTMENT.. We find Sami on her bed in her jammies and her face is covered with tears. Will walks in asking how she's doing and brings her some hot milk. She tells him she should be tucking him in with hot milk and vows to never leave him. He hugs her telling her she better not as he needs her. Awww. Later Lucas comes to Sami's to find Will sitting on Sami's bed. He's surprised to find Will taking care of Sami and not vice versa. Will asks his father to take care of his mom as he's worried about her. Lucas tells him he willand sends his son off to bed. Sami calls out for daddy and wakes up to find Lucas standing there. He softly tells her how Will was sitting there and watching her. She tells him how Will brought her milk and honey and he tells her that Will asked him to take care of her. Crying she admits to being afraid to be alone and asks him to stay with her tonight. He takes his shirt off and crawls into bed with her. Crying, she lies her head on his chest and tells him how she blamed and accused her dad before he was killed. She wanted him to walk her down the aisle one day and now he's gone. She breaks into sobs knowing she'll never be able to tell him how sorry she was as Lucas comforts her. (great scene!!)

BLACK PENTHOUSE.. Marlena is home and now in her pink robe (see Nicole, told ya!). John tells her he loves her. She tells him Roman was killed because he married Kate. She could have talked him out of it, but listened to John and didn't. She tells him Roman did “move on” now and John realizes why she blames him. He can't believe she doesn't want him there and asks if she wants him to move out. She looks around at him and moments later he's carrying his bag as he heads for the door. She's crying, but he knows the tears aren't for him. She confirms it's what she wants. He hoped she had changed her mind, but she tells him she needs time to think. She tells him she's sure this is what she wants and he quietly, but sadly, leaves. She holds Roman's picture to her heart and asks why he had to die.

BACK AT TUSCANY.. Celeste decides to check the evidence out. She opens the tie wrap on the bag and a bright glaring light shines in her face as she opens the bag. Later we see her (wearing her gloves) holding the hockey mask that was apparently in the bag as well. She holds it up to her eyes and looks through it to see a replay of Roman's reaction to the killer. He calls the killer Tony and then pulls off the mask. We see his shocked expression as he starts backing up and says “My God, this can't be, this can't be happening” before getting slashed and falling to the floor. She puts the mask up again and sees the sword and Roman falling again, something dark and small on the floor (blood?) and his wrist dangling from under the cover. Later she takes the mask from her face (we don't see what she saw this time) and says “oh my God, Anthony was telling the truth, they've arrested the wrong person. More innocent lives will be taken.” as she looks off to the side and sees Bo and Hope in the cop shop as he comforts Hope. Bo tells Hope not to worry about him and everything will be fine...

Hope tells Bo that if Tony's prediction is true, then no one is safe, especially him...

Belle walks in to find Shawn kissing Jan in the shower and says “Oh my God” (hopefully it's one of Jan's twisted daydreams)

Sami and Lucas are sitting on her bed (looks like he's in his red boxers). He asks her if she can't see what they have here. She tells him she knows what's going on, he's using Will to get her into bed...

Belle looks up at John and in tears says “I have to know Daddy. Are you going to kill my mom?”

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7TH. 2004

It is the next morning in Salem, as fantasies, dreams & visions are the soup d’jour. Lucas & Sami have some nice moments, while Marlena continues to reject John and Celeste has a visit from the spirit world.

SHAWN WAKES UP in Belle’s bed, gently removes his arm from around her, and gets up to go to the bathroom. As he stands at the sink, he hears the shower go on, tears back the curtain, and there is Jan, telling him she has been waiting for him. He stares in disbelief, she kisses him as Belle walks in, and is shocked. Yes, another one of Jan’s fantasies as she stares at the couple in bed. She moves downstairs as Shawn awakens. He thinks he heard something, so grabs a baseball bat & goes downstairs. Jan is hiding in the pantry. He hears a noise, heads that way, but Belle comes down & he shrugs it off as that noisy radiator. He & Belle talk of the last night, then go up to get dressed. Jan slips out before they come down, but listens at the door. (Jeez, isn’t any door soundproof in Salem?) Shawn leaves, Jan hides, talks to herself as always. Inside, Belle is puzzled when she finds her negligee on the floor – the one she could not find the night before. (No, these people do not ever have a clue, even with all those murders!)

MARLENA IS IN HER ROBE, looking at Roman’s picture (didn’t know there was one up of him all these years) when the doorbell rings. John says it is your husband. Marlena opens the door & breaks into a great smile as she sees Roman standing there. But then it is John, & her face changes, as then John’s does, too. He forgot something when he packed up yesterday, and wants to talk, but Marlena brushes him off saying she has to go to church to pray for her husband. She runs upstairs to get dressed. Later, John comes down with a small bag, when the door opens, & Belle comes in with breakfast, chattering away about Mom. John says only that Marlena went to church (Belle is wearing a cute blue shirt that says Carolina on it) as Belle unpacks the muffins, coffee, etc. He finally tells Belle that he moved out last night, and Belle is upset. She mentions Celeste’s predictions, and John says yeah, they all seem to have come true, but Belle counters with, except one. She talks of Caroline telling Celeste that John will kill Marlena and asks John if he is going to kill her mom.

KATE WAKES UP to find Roman in bed next to her. She is crying as she cradles his face, asking if he is really there. And where else would he be, he replies. She strokes his face, as he reassures her of his love, and she tell him of her bad dream, that he was dead. He tells her he is right there and will always be with her as he kisses her……….& Kate really wakes up in bed all alone.

IN THE CHURCH, Marlena is praying as Kate’s voice says it looks like we both had the same idea. Kate tells Marlena she has talked to the funeral director who told her of the Brady family plot, that there is one for Roman, with the place next to it for his wife, and that tho that is Kate, he needs Marlena to sign off on it, as her name was there. But Marlena is not too sure she is willing to do that, she will have to think about it. Now Kate & Marlena face off. Marlena says you were his wife for just a very short time, whereas we were married for years and had children together. Kate says she & Roman did, too, but Marlena tells her they only shared DNA. Marlena claims she could have prevented all this. She & Roman were married here in this church, and if she had kept her vows, all this pain & suffering could have been prevented. Kate shoots right back that Roman was a cop, his life was always in danger, and lets Marlena know in no uncertain terms that SHE is Mrs. Roman Brady, and no one will take that away from her. She then talks of Will, wanting to check on him, and invites Marlena to go along. They talk a bit of Sami, and Kate tells her how the last conversation she had with Roman was about getting along with his daughter.

LUCAS WAKES UP next to Sami, strokes her hair, and Sami awakens. She says what are you doing…..then says Oh my gosh, that thing touching me better not be what I think it is. ROTFL. Lucas gets a silly smirk on his face as he says “You mean this”, and pulls out a hot water bottle. He says he brought it cuz she was having a bad night, shivering in her sleep. Sami cries over dad, talks of him. Lucas soothes her, getting her to laugh over his silly red boxers that Will gave him, (they have a bit of double entendre’ or innuendo conversation here, that is fun to hear) and then goes to get a surprise – breakfast in bed. They talk of Will, and getting along better, as Sami eats her oatmeal, drinks her tea. She again gets upset, Lucas comforting her, but Sami accuses him of using Will to try and get her in bed, mentioning him being shirtless and showing off his muscles. LOLOL. Lucas laughs and tells her she must have been checking him out. He takes the tray to set on the other side of the room, turns & catches her doing it again. She jumps out of bed, they spar back and forth, and before you know it, Lucas is tickling her, Sami is laughing like mad, falls on the bed and they are having a gung ho tickle session, as a shocked Kate & Marlena walk in.

Kate takes Lucas aside, upset as Roman is not even dead 12 hours and here is he, playing footsies with the daughter who has vowed revenge on her, & tries to reason with Lucas, asking him to take it easy, for her sake. Marlena is doing the same with Sami….but Sami turns the talk to John. Marlena tells Sami John moved out, which makes Sami very happy. She hugs her mom, & to herself, vows to get even.

CELESTE HAS NIGHTMARE about the visions she had when she put the hockey mask to her face. She wakes up suddenly, and says that they have arrested the wrong person. Anthony did not do it. Suddenly the windows blow open and she gasps, as Roman’s spirit stands before her, saying “You have to warn Bo. You have to tell my brother the danger isn’t over. Tell him you know the truth, and he arrested the wrong person. At this point Maggie appears besides Roman, and says basically the same thing. She insists Celeste knows who the real killer is, just as Maggie did…..deep in her sub-conscience. Celeste vehemently denies knowing who the killer is. Roman & Maggie both badger Celeste, insisting she has to unlock her sub-conscience, telling her “you, and you alone, must solve the mystery”. Camera freezes on Celeste’s puzzled face……as the coming attractions show……

Celeste telling Lexie that Tony won’t harm her, and the police have arrested the wrong man.

Chloe on the phone, as Brady stands near, saying “What? I don’t believe it”

Bo & Hope asking Mickey what he is doing there, to which he replies that “I’m gonna be Tony’s attorney”

Shawn, who is following someone in the park, catches up, grabs and arm and says…..”You”.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 8TH 2004

Summary: Chloe gets an offer she can’t refuse…Tony gets a lawyer to defend him…Celeste all but drives Lexie crazy with her rantings of visions and premonitions.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…
After his workout, Brady finds Chloe in the den with breakfast waiting. Nicole barges in (being her usual obnoxious self) but Brady chases her out and she grumbles and mumbles in the hallway about them being together over her dead body. Victor walks up, saying that could be arranged. Inside, Chloe and Brady feed each other fruit, enjoying their time together. He shows her the headline in the paper (about Tony), telling her that there is no reason she can’t stay in Salem now. Victor and Nicole continue to argue in the hallway as Brady tries to convince Chloe to stay in Salem. She promise him she will, then she gets a phone call from Cecilia Marin. It seems that some other singer cannot continue in some opera and they want Chloe to take her place. She feels bad, but Brady is happy for her. She begs him to go with her, but he says he has too many responsibilities in Salem. She doesn’t want to go, but he convinces her she should. But she is worried about him being around Nicole. In the hallway, Nicole and Victor continue to bicker, with her vowing to woo Brady. Then, she says she will go after Bo. LOL as Victor tells her that Bo is so married and besides, Hope would mop the floor with her. (True!) Well, then, she says she will go after Philip…he is so young and naïve and easy to seduce. She says she would even go after his grandson Shawn. Victor warns her to stay away from his family. But she vows to bring down the Kiriakis dynasty…one man at a time. Victor tells her he will see her dead first. She leaves, telling him she is going to find the perfect weapon to use against them. In the den, Brady tells Chloe he is going to plan the perfect day for her and they kiss.

At Mickey’s House…
Bonnie is up fixing breakfast as she starts hitting on a nervous Mickey (talking about how that bed was too big for her). She dotes on him and then as he is eating starts talking about the wedding events and all the blood, until Mickey loses his appetite. She starts in on wanting to renovate Tuscany, but Mickey stops her cold, telling her he doesn’t have the time or money. He goes to get ready and the phone rings. She answers it to find Tony wanting to hire Mickey as his lawyer. She tells him that Mickey is not interested until Tony waves a one million dollar retainer fee carrot before her. Tony asks her to help convince Mickey to take his case and she changes her mind. When Mickey comes back in, she tells him and he asks if she is out of her mind. He gets really upset as Bonnie tries to convince him. She tells Mickey that she knows he wants to see Tony fry…and that the best way to be in control of the outcome is to defend him (LOL…we have all been saying THAT for years now!)

At Celeste’s Hotel…
Apparently, Celeste called Lexie, who is now examining her, telling her that her blood pressure is sky high. Celeste finally gives in and tells her why she is so upset. She tells her about Roman and Maggie visiting her and their pleas to solve the murders. She tells her that Tony is not the killer. But Lexie suggests that she was dreaming and finds it all hard to believe. But Celeste is adamant, saying that she must stop this nightmare. Lexie has heard enough of he visions and premonitions, but her mother won’t let it go. Lexie warns her if she doesn’t stop, she will become a target herself. Lexie suggests that they go for a walk or go shopping, but Celeste is upset that no one will listen to her.

Later, they are in the park as Celeste looks at a newspaper and the headline “Tony Dimera Arrested as Salem Serial Killer” changes to “Tony Dimera Found Innocent of all Salem Serial Killings” right before her eyes. Lexie walks up with hot chocolate asking what is wrong. Celeste starts about the killer again, saying that more innocents will die.

At the Jail…
Bart visits Tony who tells him that he is innocent and that the killer is still out there ready to strike again. He tells Bart that he has a plan to exonerate himself and vows to walk out of there a free man. He says that the Bradys are trying to pin it all on him but he has a plan…to strike a deal with the enemy. After his call to Mickey, Bart tries to convince him NOT to hire Mickey as his counsel, but Tony swears that he has a plan.

In the main office, Shawn is there with Bo and Hope as they talk about catching Tony. Shawn tells them that he as a feeling someone is following him. Jan arrives in the outer office and is stopped by a cop. She says she is there to pay respects to the Brady family. Tek comes in, informing Bo that the sword was clean and that they have no evidence tying Tony to the murder and they fear that Tony may walk. The cop tell Hope about the girl and suggests that she sign the condolence book. As Jan is doing so, Shawn watches from the office (Jan’s back is to him) but she looks familiar. After she leaves, he checks the book and says the handwriting looks familiar (she used an alias). He decides to take off after her. Bo is furious that they have no clues. In a huff, the takes off to see Tony, with Hope following.

Back in the Park…
Mickey and Bonnie also arrive in the park with her still badgering him about taking the case. Mickey goes to jog as Bonnie spots Celeste and Lexie and joins them. Lexie wants Bonnie to talk to Celeste for her as she goes to get Bonnie a hot chocolate. They talk about her premonitions and Bonnie asks if Tony is the killer. While getting the hot chocolate, Jan rushes by and bumps into Lexie and then hurries off. She is followed by Shawn who asks Lexie who it was, but she didn’t know her. Shawn takes off. Lexie rejoins Bonnie and her mom as Bonnie spots Mickey and calls him over. Celeste tells him about Roman and Maggie visiting her and their message about Tony. Celeste tries to convince him to take Tony’s case. Later, Celeste and Lexie continue to argue over Tony’s guilt or innocence, as Celeste is sure he is innocent. Lexie worries about her mom and urges her to let it go. But Celeste feels the killer is still out there and waiting to claim the next victim.

Back at the Jail…
Bo rushes into the jail as Tony says “Your honor, I plead guilty”. He chuckles, asking Bo if that is what he wants to hear. He thinks he has already been tried and convicted and that he won’t be able to get decent counsel. Bo says that no lawyer will take his case, just as Mickey walks up, saying that everyone deserves counsel…even a Dimera. Bo and Hope are both shocked as he tells them that he is going to be Tony’s attorney.

Shawn continues to follow Jan through the park and catches up with her (or so we think). He grabs someone by the arm and spin them around and says “YOU!”…as the previews roll…

On the Next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

Marlena tells Tony: “You have torn the soul out of this town”. Tony: “If you don’t help me, you will have the blood of other people on your hands…and then YOU will be dead”…

Victor tells Nicole: “If I have to make an alliance with Tony Dimera…I’ll do it to be rid of you forever”…

Jennifer asks a worried looking Lexie “What’s wrong?”…

Shawn tells Belle “Your parents love each other…I’m sure that everything will be alright.” Belle: “I just don’t know”…

And the credits roll…

In front of the Kiriakis mansion... Shawn's still chasing after Jan. He follows her through the snow and as he rounds the corner sees a black coat and yanks on Nicole's arm, saying it's her (Jan's hiding nearby of course listening). He explains some gal has been following him. Nicole sees Jan lurking nearby and although she doesn't tell him she's right there, reminds him of when Jan use to follow him. It dawns on Shawn that that's who the girl remind him of, Jan Spears (duh). Later he realizes Jan's in Europe and it couldn't be her. She's in Europe with her mother and doesn't have any family or friends in Salem. Nicole said he was her friend, but he tells her he wasn't a very good one. Jan thinks to herself that he was the best friend she ever had. Nicole tells him she should have helped Jan as it was her father who raped her. She tears up and asks for Shawn's hanky to dry her eyes. She kisses his cheek saying she didn't do so bad in the step grandson department and he leaves. Victor comes outside asking what she's doing. They go inside to argue and she sees Jan's shadow as she slips away. Victor threatens to see her in the death chamber and make an alliance with Tony Dimera if necessary to be rid of her.

At the Black Penthouse..Belle is waiting for John's answer if he could kill Marlena. He asks if she's afraid of him too. She tells him no and doesn't believe he'd intentionally hurt mom either. She explains needing his reassurance as he's the only one in the family that's acting normal. He understands Celeste's predictions always come true and she's puzzled as to why mom's acting so strangely. He tells her Marlena feels guilty for leaving Roman. She never admitted that, but her shrink smarts rubbed off on him. He confesses Marlena means everything to him and without her, he doesn't know who he is or what he could become. Belle hugs him. Later he shows her an envelope. They sit down as he shows her the collection of cards Marlena saved from her children over the years. The first one is a drawing she crayoned in first grade of her, John, Marlena and Brady..entitled MY FAMILY. He remembers she was a big eater at that time and points out the pb&j stain on the paper. (LOL) The next one was done by Sami to John, saying he's the best dad in the world and she'll love him forever. They talk about how things have changed and now Sami will be happy they've separated. He hugs Belle telling her that all married people have problems and not to worry about it. He tells Belle the vows he made when he married Marlena and has no intention of breaking them.

At the jail Tony's talkative guard announces to he has another visitor and comments on his popularity considering he's a serial killer. He asks why the two Brady officers left in such a hurry (er, one of them officers is your INTERIM COMMANDER bud). Marlena walks in and tells Tony she was married to Roman once and is going to make sure Tony pays for what he did. Tony simply gives her a toothy smile in return. Later she tells him if she got rid of him it would be a noble thing to do so the people she loves wouldn't have to have him in the world anymore. Marlena promises she'll see Tony gets what he deserves. Mickey walks in, but she continues to tell Tony she'll testify as an expert witness and will see to it that Tony lives the rest of his life out in a tiny cramped dark cell. Mickey warns her to stop talking, but she continues. Tony tells her the killer is afraid of getting caught and will kill again and again. Marlena turns, telling Mickey she knows he wants to confront the murderer of his soul mate, but it's just not worth it, it's just too painful. Tony relishes in Mickey's admission to Marlena that he's Tony's lawyer and Marlena's shocked reaction. (as Laney said yesterday, if Tony wasn't going to die, Mickey being his lawyer would ensure he go to prison at least ;-) She tells him she can't let him do that. Mickey is adament that Tony is innocent until proven guilty and he's not convinced he is. We see Mickey remembering his conversation with Celeste about Maggie and Roman's visit to her saying that Tony's innocent. Marlena tells Mickey they're now adversaries then and he shouldn't hear what she has to tell Tony. Mickey leaves. Tony warns Marlena he's innocent and others will die, saying she'll be next, if he's not set free. He's heard of Celeste's premonition and her remarkable powers. She calls it rubbish. He lets her know he's aware she asked John to move out. He mentions all his father did them, making them think Cassie and Rex's were their children. She tells him he he had a chance to have a family and Kristin's name is brought up..He tells her John destroyed that just as he's destroying their family. She has the power to save everyone by telling the judge to set him free. She knows he's innocent. He was her friend long before he was her enemy and in her heart of hearts she knows he's not a killer. She remembers how he locked John in a sauna to let him die, so yes, he's capable. He repeats he alone knows he's innocent and was at Tuscany that night to try and capture the killer himself. He denies being stupid enough to bring his own weapon, the sword, and leaving it at the crime scene. John calls her cell to tell her he's all packed up and will be gone before she returns. He tells her he told Alice they'd help with the Horton Benefit and hopes that's not a problem. She answers she'll take care of it and when he tells her he loves her, she glances at Tony and simply tells John she has to go. Tony tells Marlena if she swears in court that he's a murderer, she'll be lying. She tells him to go to Hell and leaves. Back at the penthouse, John puts the picture Belle drew of their family next to the picture of him and Marlena on the table and leaves.

Belle and Shawn meet in the park. She tells him about her father moving out and how Shawn's the only person she can count on. He tells her always, but Jan makes a “wanna bet” comment about that as she lurks in the shrubs. (Why didn't they meet at the pub where Jan can't overhear and it's warmer). Nicole joins Jan in the bushes and welcomes her home. Jan thanks her for not giving her away. Nicole tells her she needs her help now.

Lexie visits Jennifer with a grocery bag stuffed of Theo's outgrown clothes saying they're all in great condition, some he never got around to wearing. Jennifer is delighted and pulls out a tshirt with “Daddy's Super Star” on it. That one he wore a lot, Lexie says wistfully (that Theo's a clean kid as it looks brand new, in fact you can see the sizing creases on the folds, LOL). Lexie learns that Gram is upstairs with Abby supposedly working on a scout badge project, but Jen heard the word “nursery” in their discussion. Lexie breaks down, feeling guilty that someone in her family is responsible for Jen's pain. Jennifer reassures her that she too lost a husband and it's not her fault. Lexie reflects on all the misery her father caused and she did too for a while there. She doesn't know if she can take it anymore, but Jennifer offers her support to help Lexie get through this. Lexie refuses saying Jen has to worry about Abby and herself now. Lexie then admits being jealous of Jennifer being pregnant. She and Abe were also trying to have another baby, but she wasn't as lucky as Jen. Jennifer understands and admits to being jealous of Hope because she has Bo and Gram as she and her grandfather had such a long life together. They each share the loss of their husbands and it's been a long time since she's been pregnant. Lexie is not only her friend, but a pediatrician (oh yeah?) and she'll need her help. Lexie thanks her and the two friends comfort each other as they dab their eyes. Lex asks if Jen wants to know the baby's sex. Jen would probably wait, but Abby is so anxious and it's the first thing that's made her smile since Jack's death. Rubbing her tubby, Jen admits loving this baby so much already.

Later Gran and Abby join them and Abby asks to babysit Theo. Jen comes to the rescue by telling Lexie she can bring Theo to her house and she and Abby will both be there for Theo. Gram suggests postponing the Horton Foundation benefit being Jennifer is pregnant now and Hope is busy with the serial killer case. Jennifer tells her she loves working on the benefit and Abby and Lexie offer their help as well. Abby tells Gram about the ultrasound on Christmas Day and Lexie asks if they got a picture. Jen says Dr. Bader squeezed them in, so no, but perhaps on their next visit in a couple of weeks. Lexie has an idea.

We later see Jen getting ready for another ultrasound at the hospital. Lexie tells her they'll bring Gram and Alice in after they're all set up. She puts the monitor on and looks worried, but realizes she was just out of practice and didn't do it right. She puts the wand on again and hears a strange noise and is concerned again. This time she knows something is wrong... as the previews for the next Days of Our Lives roll..

At Tony's hearing, Bo tells Hope that he wonders what the hell is wrong with Mickey and how can he betray them like this, defending that bastard!. Hope tells him it's no use fighting with him now as we see Tony smirk from his seat..

Chloe and Brady are in bed and she tells him she's serious about letting Cecelia Marin replace her...

Jen asks Lexie to confirm that if she doesn't terminate this pregnancy, she could die.

In the courtroom, Celeste turns around to see Roman and Abe's ghosts, dressed in police uniforms. Roman tells her if she didn't believe Maggie and him about Tony's innocense, maybe he (nodding at Abe) can convince her.

Summary: Chloe bids farewell to Brady (and Salem) as Nicole continues to scheme and plot…Lexie gives Jennifer bad news…and Tony’s pre’trial hearing gets underway, as Celeste is visited once again by two spirits.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…Victor demands to know where Nicole has been and lets her know that if she bothers anyone in his family, he is ready and prepared to turn her in for the Colin Murphy murder and is even convinced that she is the Salem serial killer. She says that he has no evidence. Victor insinuates that he will frame her if necessary and will form an alliance with Tony if he has to. He tells her that he is going to the hearing and while he is gone, to stay away from Brady and Choe.

Upstairs, Brady and Chloe are in bed and she offers to stay if he wants her to. But Brady says she can’t turn down this chance and talks her into going. Later, they are outside strolling around as Nicole watches them, mumbling from the window. They go inside and start kissing and then Brady informs Nicole that Chloe is leaving today. Nicole, turning on the charm, apologizes to them for her behavior and really pours it on thick. She talks about giving up booze and getting her life in order and Chloe is impressed. (Just HOW naïve is that girl?) She rushes off to get them something to take with them. Later as they are leaving for the airport, Nicole offers Chloe a basket of food. (Hope you didn’t go to any trouble Nicole…she says she had Cook prepare it, LOL). Chloe thanks her and tells her that she really hopes she succeeds in getting off the booze and straightening out her life, who knows, maybe even she and Victor can work out their problems. After they leave, Nicole pours herself a drink, smiling like the Cheshire cat. Later, at the airport, Brady and Chloe are saying their goodbyes and he decides he is going with her. (Nicole is lurking around the corner, listening, thinks that will ruin everything). They realize that he can’t go and both realize he must stay in Salem. They kiss, and as they final boarding call is made, neither of them will say the word “goodbye” Brady says he will see her soon. And Chloe says “not soon enough” as she turns and leaves. After she is gone, Nicole thinks “Don’t worry Brady…you won’t be lonely for long.”

At the Hospital…Lexie does the ultrasound on Jennifer and notices something wrong. I don’t think we ever learn exactly what is wrong, but Lexie makes it clear that if she doesn’t miscarry first, she may have to consider terminating the pregnancy…HER life could be in danger. Jen agonizes over this, saying that she was so excited about this and it was a way to keep Jack with her. She feels bad for telling everyone early and worries about how Abby will react to the news. Lexie has ordered a specialized ultrasound and says they will know more later. In the waiting area, an excited Abby goes on and on to a nurse about the baby. Lexie apologizes to Jen if she came across as insensitive, but Jen understands, being that Lexie is a doctor (I guess Lexie is now a qualified obstetrician…along with a pediatrician and expert surgeon? LOL…Jen, I’d wait for a second opinion myself. LOL). Later, Lexie goes out and brings in Alice (Jen was asking for her) as Lexie talks to Abby, who is asking to go in and listen to the heartbeat. Inside, Alice sits by Jen, holding her hand and offers her advice as well as to wait for further test results (you go, Gram). Alice assures her that whatever she dos, they will all be there for her. Lexie steps back inside as Jennifer is talking to Alice. Abby slips in behind her and overhears. She rushes into the room yelling “No, no…you can’t…you killed my daddy…you can’t kill his baby too!”

At the Courthouse…People are arriving to Tony’s pre-trial hearing. Marlena arrives as John wants to talk to her, but she says “not now”. Inside, Bo and Hope are talking about Mickey’s defending Tony as Bo marches over there and jumps him about it, asking how could he defend the monster who killed his wife. Bo tries to talk Mickey out of it, but he defends his actions, saying justice will prevail. After Hope calms him down and gets him back to his seat, Celeste asks Mickey why didn’t he tell them about her visit from Roman and Maggie (LOL…don’t think I would either Mickey!) Bo looks at Tony and snaps that he is going down. A muttering Bo finally sits down. Victor walks up to John and Marlena in the hallway and they talk about how upset Kate is. Marlena excuses herself and goes in to the courtroom and sits directly behind Tony. He asks her if she is there to help him and she says “not on the longest day of my life”. John and Victor go in and sit together. Judge Karen Fitzpatrick is announced and the hearing begins. Mickey moves that the case be dismissed because of lack of evidence as Bo erupts. The judge has to calm him down and chew him out before he takes his seat. The prosecutor calls Bo to the stand and he is questioned as he talks about apprehending Tony outside Tuscany, the sword found there and the PDA evidence. Celeste hears someone calling her name and turns to find Roman and Abe (both in full dress uniforms) sitting behind her both urging her to do the right thing, for if she doesn’t, others will die. She doesn’t know what to do. Mickey questions Bo, who is confident that the their forensic team is working on it diligently and will find the evidence they need to convict Tony. Mickey points out that Roman’s blood was not on the sword found. Bo is excused, even though he isn’t finished and keeps on talking. Roman chuckles to Abe that his brother is a bit of a hot head, then they tell Celeste that only she has the key to name the real killer. Mickey calls Tony to the stand to testify and he claims that the PDA he had wasn’t his and that he believes it was planted on him to frame him (even though he had one exactly like it). He claims to know nothing about the messages on it. He also claims that he was at Tuscany that night trying to catch the real killer and clear his name, but Bo and his “keystone cops” ruined everything. Bo jumps up again and has to be warned again. Abe and Roman continue to urge Celeste to say something, but she gets up and leaves…only to see them again in the corridor. (Hmmm…stalker spirits, huh?) They vow they are there to help her. Inside, the prosecutor has one more witness, but he has been delayed so they recess for 15 minutes. Marlena steps out and sees Celeste alone, but looking as if she is talking to someone. Inside, Victor and John talk about Marlena and whether or not they believe that Tony is guilty. Victor plants a seed, saying that through out all the murders, he has felt that a hand of a woman has been involved and explains why. John asks who then?…Sami?…Kate?…your wif,e Nicole? (bingo! Nice work Victor) Victor says he will leave it up to the police. John also thanks Victor for his help bringing Chloe home, for he too had noticed Brady and Nicole getting a bit too close. Victor tells him not to worry about Nicole, he will be getting rid of her soon. In the hallway, Marlena listens to Celeste, then asks her who she is talking to. She tells her that Roman and Abe are there, surely she can feel their presence. But Marlena sees no one. Celeste tells her that they are there urging her to tell everyone that Tony is not the killer. Tek rushes up, going THROUGH Roman and Abe (cool effect), pauses, then heads into the courtroom. Celeste tells Marlena that if Tony is convicted, the real killer will strike again and that it is up to her to stop him or her, but she doesn’t know how. Inside, Tek (real name: Thomas Kramer) is called to the stand. He is cross examined and testifies that new tests reveal that the sword was NOT the murder weapon. The knife that killed Roman was the one used to cut the cake. Bo jumps up as Mickey moves for a dismissal. The judge asks if there is anyone there who can speak on behalf of Tony, either for or against him. The door opens and Marlena steps in and says if it pleases the court, she would like to be heard, as all heads turn. The camera moves in on Tony who looks into the camera and smiles…as we see previews for the next show…

On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

THE SHOW STARTS AS we see Bo and Hope at Roman's graveside during the graveside service. His headstone only reads his name and that he was killed in the line of duty. Hope looks down and sees the name on the headstone now reading Bo's, not Roman's. She interperrupts the service saying the correct name, but finds Bo's missing..then wakes up from her nap on the couch. Apparently she had the midnight shift at the station and Bo understands she's exhausted (guess being married to the commander doesn't count shift wise).

AT ST LUKES...we find Roman's flag draped coffin at the altar and Kate stroking Roman's picture saying those few hours as his wife were the happiest in her life. Lucas tries to console her as Father Jansen asks her who the flag should go to...her or one of his children. Sami pipes in that it should go to her as Kate was never Roman's wife in the eyes of God. Her parents were married there and had children. Kate and Sami are both in tears as Kate tells Sami that her and Roman's last discussion were about how she'd try to get along with Sami better. Sami listens as Kate tells her this and Kate finally runs from the room. Lucas softly says Sami's name as she stands there crying, but she walks past him.

Rex and Mimi walk through the cemetary as he asks what's left after you're gone. Mimi tells him that he's Roman's son and still here. He berates himself after claiming to have been from the Dimera royal family of scum and murderers.

Belle and Shawn arrive and she rushes up to John. He tells her he hasn't seen Marlena yet and Shawn leaves to see his family. Belle tells John about Tony's visit to Rex the day before and his theory about the killer being a woman. He analyzes that to mean she knows he's innocent and won't hurt her mother and can she really believe he's a serial killer? He suggests they just give Marlena time and be patient. They hug telling each other how much they love each other as Sami rushes by. They both call out to her and Belle offers to be there if Sami needs her, but Sami just looks at them in tears and rushes out of the church. Sami looks up at the sky telling Roman he never hurt anyone and why is he gone as she needs him so much. Note there are uniformed officers in dress uniforms at the inside the church.

Belle and John are both surprised that Marlena's not there yet and he suggests she try calling. Belle explains she already tried Marlena's cell and home phone with no luck. John decides to go over there and Belle joins him.

Jennifer and Abby kneel and light a candle. Jen joins Alice and tells her she said a prayer for Roman, but one for Jack and the baby as well. Alice tells her to trust in the Lord and Jennifer does, but she's already lost her husband. How can he take her baby as well, or worse yet, how can she?

Pop and Kim arrive and Bo, Hope and Shawn hug and greet them. Bo asks about Kayla and they explain that she was on her way, but Stephanie got sick and Kayla had to go home. They understand saying Roman would too as the kids come first. Kim notices Hope's pale face and is concerned, but Hope explains it as just being tired. Kim, Shawn and Pop go to light a candle as Bo asks Hope if she's okay and it was just a dream she had, nothing more.

Sami walks in to find Kate comforting Will as he remembers Grandpa Roman was going to take him trout fishing during spring break. Kate comments she's glad Roman married her as Sami walks in and stops herself from saying too much in front of Will. She hugs him, saying she needs him right now.

Father Jansen is ready to begin, but Pop Shawn notices Marlena's absence. Mimi and Rex walk in and Mimi offers her condolences to Sami. She thanks her but sees Rex and tears into him, wanting him to leave. Mimi stands up for Rex (who's getting a headache again) and Pop Shawn finally speaks up telling Samanatha Brady to sit down and not make this day a circus. She's not the only one allowed to mourn Roman. Sami does as he asks.

Doug and Julie arrive. They came straight from the airport to the church (they look great and Julie's hair is so long now..wow). Hugs go around to the Brady's and Alice is happily surprised from her pew as well. They offer their sympathies to Jennifer about Jack, but understand she's gotten some good news too. Cue silence and Jen and Hope's solemn faces until Jen tells them she is pregnant, but there was a problem noted on the ultrasound, but this is not the time and place to talk about it.

AT THE PENTHOUSE.. Marlena wakes up and sees something, saying it's the killer and now it's come for her ..as a tigers yellow eyes watch her, then turn into a tiger and leaps at her as she screams. Later we see her still in her nightgown as revolving shades of light surround her. Roman walks up to her and takes her hand, saying he's there to take her home, but is that where she wants to be? Belle and John arrive at the penthouse and even more curious as Marlena's car was parked downstairs. He suggests she go into their bedroom to see if Marlena's there and she does so, then screams. John rushes in, but they find Marlena was only sleeping. They wake her up and she tells them she was dreaming about Roman (poor John's hurt face) and asks why they brought her back. Before answering when John asks what that meant, Belle notices Marlena's torn nightgown. They tell her they're there as she wasn't at Roman's service and she realized she overslept (I'll say). John goes to leave as she gets up, but Belle tells her mom to ignore Celeste and how much dad loves her.

Sami, Lucas and Will are in the front pew and she wonders where her mom is. She sees John has left too. The service begins. The church is full between family, friends and Salem PD paying their respects (nice to see this after their absence at Abe's funeral). Bo gives his eulogy. He reflects how the teachers at school always expected him to follow in Roman's footsteps. Roman was also a really nice guy. Bo rebelled and was just the opposite. Ma always knew things would change and she was right. He realized how much he wanted Roman's respect and with Roman's guidance, patience and refusal to cut him any slack, he finally got there. He thanks Roman, but knows he'll never be half the man Roman was. He reflects on how sad it was that Roman died on his wedding night, but a small piece of comfort was knowing how happy he was when he died, the happiest he'd seen him in a long time (camera pans on Sami in the front row and Kate in the row behind her, both crying at that.). We return as Bo finishes his eulogy and tells Roman he loved him and will miss him. Father Jansen asks if Roman's wife wanted to say a few words and as Kate stands, Marlena walks in, hoping she's not too late. Kate nods at Father Jansen and sits down. Marlena walks to the podium, puts on her glasses and reads a letter from Eric (what's his excuse THIS time to not be there?) Eric remembers the first time he and Sami lost their dad and were lucky to have the wonderful father they had and remembered back. He was thankful for all the new memories they had of him. For herself she tells Roman she wished things had turned out differently, but he will always remain alive in her heart. Mourners comfort each other as Father Jansen wraps up the service with a prayer (gee, couldn't let Kate speak after Marlena?). Lucas comforts a crying Sami and Marlena walks to the back of the church where John awaits. He says sorry and she goes into his arms and cries. Sami notes this, but Lucas walks her out before she can say anything (smart man). Abby hugs Alice asking if she'll ever not be sad. Alice tells her things will get better.

Moments later the coffin is in the graveyard and surprised looks see the headstone has Roman's name on one side and Marlena's on the other (it has 10/7/56 as her birthdate and her name as Marlena Evans Brady). Marlena is shocked too. Kate apologizes, remembering how she asks Marlena to give up the adjoining plot, but had no idea her name would be on the headstone. Marlena said she's sorry she left this is Kate's hands.

Later after Father Jansen finishes, there's a 21 gun salute. Bo offers the folded flag from Roman's coffin to Kate, but she tells him to give it to Sami. Sami takes it and hugs it as she breaks into sobs. Bo gets a message and leaves to pick up some files at the house, telling Hope he'll meet her and Shawn at the pub. She looks at the headstone and like her dream, it changes to Bo's name. While standing around the graveside they hear a wild animal. Doug and Julie say they brought it home from their trip (oh yeah, right, and they bring it to the church?) They go through the bushes to find a royal bengal tiger in a cage.

Bo returns home to be surprised by someone waiting for him inside. Agent Spector. He's been made director of the ISA recently and someone he holds dear is in danger. Bo's the only one who can help her. Bo asks if it's Hope.

Sami returns to the church to kneel and talk to Roman. She didn't want a family with Kate, but didn't mean this. She tells him she loves and misses him. Lucas puts his arm around her and walks her out. Kate walks in and plays with her wedding ring.

TONY MEDITATES, HOLDING THE TIGER'S TOOTH. Celeste walks in and fortunately he doesn't stab her with his sword. She takes it and puts it on the rack and tells him they have to work together. She tells him about her vision of holding the killer's mask and seeing fierce yellow eyes, like the eyes of a beast. He opens his hand and the tigers tooth cut his hand so it's bleeding. She tells him the tiger and the serial killer have a lot in common and they have no time to waste. Someone else will die soon if they don't do something.

ON THE NEXT DOOL
Bonnie walks up to see the tiger in the cage saying he's so cute and asks the tiger..”who's the good kitty”...

Shawn tells Tony he still thinks he's the one and Tony tells him to get out of his face..

Marlena holds her hands up to her face and says to leave her alone as we see the tiger leap in the air...

Bo and Hope hear a recording that Agent Spector plays for them of a woman saying she'll tell only Bo something (sounds like Billie).

It has been announced that John Clarke (Mickey Horton) is retiring this month. The Early Edition wishes John a long and happy retirement and thanks him for all the enjoyment he has given fans during his 38 year tenure as Mickey Horton. Instead of letting Mickey also retire and move to be near his daughters, TPTB have decided to recast the role. John, they can recast your part but they can never REPLACE you.

SUMMARY: Marlena's behavior goes from strange to weird, Doug and Julie meet Bonnie and Julie's on to her like white on rice (love it). Everyone on the show today is in the park and around the tiger.

At Dimansion, Tony and Celeste talk about the significance of the tiger and decide to research it at the library.

At the park, the tiger upsets Marlena greatly and John, Belle, Shawn, Doug and Julie try to help her. She tells them of her nightmare where the tiger killed her. Julie and Doug apologize about the tiger, only thinking it would be a good distraction. Mickey and Bonnie walk in the park with Max (her dog). Mickey is happy to see Doug and Julie and they give him their condolences about Maggie. They're sorry they couldn't get home for the other funerals, but were in countries with firm visa timelines. Bonnie introduces herself and Julie is for once speechless, LOL. Bonnie talks about Mimi and then how she was Maggie and Mickey's housekeeper since Moses was around. She and Maggie could gossip like crazy (note Julie's expression as she listens...she knows that Bonnie's found a lonely, vulnerable man and going for it!). Shawn interrupts about the tiger and Doug and Julie explain the tiger belongs to them, not the circus. They found him in South America in a traveling carnival. He was mistreated and they reported it to the authorities who wouldn't do anything about it....so they bought him. They had planned to send him to India to be set free, but experts said he couldn't protect himself in the wild. They heard about the Horton circus and offered to bring the tiger and they accepted the offer. After it's over the tiger will go to live in a wild animal habitat in Florida.

Tony and Celeste walk through the park (gee, my library has a parking lot and if it were snowing, I'd drive instead of walking there) and see the tiger. She remembers her dream of finding the hockey mask and seeing the tiger in it. The tiger gets agitated when they approach. Celeste tells them she and Tony are sure the tiger is connected to the killer. The handler says Max's barking is what is upsetting the killer. Doug and Julie tell Mickey they'll be around Salem for a while (hurray!) to help all those suffering from their losses. Shawn tells Tony he (and Bo) both believe Tony's guilty. Tony tells them any animal that's docile will change if they're hungry or threatened. Belle urges Marlena to let John move back in the penthouse to at least protect her. Marlena announces she doesn't want him moving back in with her. Tony overhears and admits being enthralled with the tiger. Marlena rushes off and John tries to assure Belle everything will be okay. Celeste tells Tony the tiger arriving today is no coincidence and they hope to prevent the killer from attacking again. Belle overhears them referring to the killer as a woman. Tony mentions to Belle that poison is a woman's choice of weapon and suggests Samanatha may be the killer. Shawn offers to help keep an eye on Marlena and John agrees, but not to discuss it with Belle as she's frightened enough. Tony asks Celeste if her vision means the killer will use the tiger for a weapon. He tells himself that freeing the tiger would be the humane thing to do.

Bonnie takes Mickey to a country western store. He tells her that he likes his dress shirts and wing tips, but Bonnie tells him it's time to change. Later we see him with an armload of pants and shirts as she puts a western hat on his head. Trying to be gracious and get out of not getting a hat or boots, he offers to buy her some outfits being she got the case for him. She jumps at the chance and goes for it as Max watches.

Alone by Romans graveside, Marlena talks to Roman (she doesn't see his ghost) about how he was always there for her and asks him if John could be the killer. She asks for a sign and the wind picks up. She sees the tiger comes around the corner and rushes at her (it doesn't in reality). John finds her on the ground and tries to help her up, but she tells him to stay away from her. She is terrified of him, now knowing that prediction is true and rushes off telling him not to follow her.

Back at the tiger cage, Tony fiddles with the chain on the cage , but doesn't open it as the handlers see him and warn him about letting the cat out. They make a note to put a padlock on the cage (smart thinking bozos!!) Julie and Doug join them and so does Bonnie and Mickey (who's barely able to walk in the new boots) in their new westerm clothes. Mickey's in soft blue jeans, gold western shirt, hat and new belt looking pretty darn good IMO. Bonnie got a new red outfit and hat. Julie suggests a family dinner and she and Doug lightly tease Uncle Mickey about his new duds. Bonnie tells them to let them know about that dinner as Julie takes more mental notes.

Hope finds Agent Spector with Bo at their home and he tells them the one in danger is Billie Reed, Bo's ex-wife. She disappeared a couple days ago in Europe. She was only security for a mid level diplomat and not on a dangerous assignment. Bo feels responsible if anything happened being he wanted her out of Salem. Hope reminds him how strong willed Billie is and she chose to return to Europe and the ISA. Spector shows them the paper clippings about the murders in Salem that they found in her room and intercepted a message Billie was sending to Bo in her room. He plays the tape that's broken up (you'll hear it in the previews today) saying she needs Bo. He refuses to go, explaining to the dense Agent why. Hope tells Bo that he has to go, today, and help Billie. He knows she wants him away from Salem where it's safe. He tells her he's commander and owes it to Abe and Roman to stay/ Spector figures he'll have to go along with Bo's decision. Spector gets a call. The ISA lab cleared up Billie's message and are sending it to them. Does Bo want to hear it? He agrees and Billie tells him she knows who the Salem Stalker is and he has to save Hope and his son (doesn't mention which one)..but she'll only tell him, no one else, who the killer is....as the previews roll....

ON THE NEXT DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Tony and Shawn talk in front of the tiger's cage. Tony says kill or be killed, it's the lore of the wild. It's an ideal method of murder. Shawn asks if he's making threats...

Brady and John talk. John knows Tony is planning the perfect crime. Brady asks if Tony could be innocent and if the real killer is setting Tony up...flashing on the killers mask

Victor tells Nicole they're going to throw a parade on the day she's executed because they'll be that happy to see she's dead...

IN THE PARK....Brady's out for a run (5 miles so far) and runs into John (don't these people know it's WINTER and to stay inside where it's warm? Or how about school and work??). John talks about Marlena's strange behavior and Brady asks him how can you tell if someone's lying to you? When learning it's Nicole, John figures she's trying to seduce him. Brady mentions Nicole and Victor's problems and John tells him to stay away from it (hello, like MOVE OUT!). John tells Brady that Victor's tough and can take care of himself..so take the croissants and run (LOL). Brady is worried, remembering the gun shot he heard the night before, indicating he's worried for both Nicole and Victor. John suggests Brady consider moving into the penthouse being he's not there. Marlena's not afraid of Brady and he could help protect her if he lived there. John figures Tony might kill Marlena and set him up as the murderer because everyone knows of Celeste's prediction. John again warns Brady to move out and stay away from Nicole if he wants to hold on to Chloe. Brady tells himself after John left that he can't stand by while Victor and Nicole try to kill each other. We see Nicole lurking nearby.

Shawn and Tony also run into each other in front of the tiger's cage. Tony is fascinated with the perfect killing machine. Shawn asks if that's how the next victim will be killed. Tony softly says that someone's listening to them and they'll give them ideas. We see a black cloaked figure in the nearby shrubs holding a huge spike in their hands. Later Tony tells Shawn to stay put when he checks it out (oh yeah, like that works with Shawn, haha). He follows Tony, but the person in the shrubs is gone as Shawn rants at Tony about how the Dimera's are after the Brady's. Tony admires Shawn's passion to defend his family. He finds the long metal spike the killer dropped and Shawn for once is quiet. Later Victor is looking for Nicole in the park and runs into Tony. Victor tells Tony he believes this all started the night he and Nicole got married and Colin's killer was his soon to be wife. Hiding nearby, Nicole threatens to kill Victor for telling Tony. Victor tells Tony that Abe got the goods on Nicole so she killed him, then Jack as he and Abe were working on it together. The media's to blame for Maggie's murder as they said how Maggie was on to whomever it was and Marlena was going to hypnotize her. He explains Caroline's death as Nicole was jealous of her or came across evidence of the killer. Cassie came across the killer's identity, but only got as far as Salem Place. Roman had told Nicole he was going to arrest her for Colin's murder as soon as he was married. That was his downfall as Nicole took him out first. Tony questions Victor's proof and he tells him about the evidence Nicole took off Roman's bloody body and burned it. Tony is furious as he was almost sent off to prison for the murders and why is Victor protecting her and that he's (Tony) the next target. He threatens to take Nicole out of the picture and Victor tells him to be his guest! They both know their life isn't worth much if Nicole knew what they were talking about. She overhears and isn't happy.

After Shawn says bye to Bo at home (see below), he returns to the circus and chats with John. He tells him Belle's not handling things well. He mentions his earlier discussion with Tony and how the tiger would be the perfect weapon. He tells John how Tony and the tiger were almost doing a mind meld thing. Shawn's convinced Tony's the killer and the killer isn't a woman. Shawn tells John about Billie and what's going on. John worries that Billie might already be dead if she knows anything. They both admit not knowing who's going to be left standing when this is all over.

TONY RETURNS HOME and pulls out a box in his meditating room. He takes out photographs from the box and holds the one of Nicole close to his chest. After lengthy meditation holding the picture, he says of course you did it and he has no doubt as to who the true killer is.

NICOLE IS HOME AS WELL and paces like a tiger herself as she sees Brady run up to the house. She dashes out of the room and runs back in, now pretending to be terrified when he comes in, saying Victor's trying to kill her. Victor walks in and tells Brady he'll tell him the truth as to what a cold blooded kiling monster Nicole is. She wasn't counting on that. She asks Victor for a few minutes alone with him and they step into the study. When he tells her that her days are numbered, she opens the door knowing Brady heard it and runs terrified from the house. Brady comments on it, but Victor explains it as she's an actress and throws in her x-rated past role. Brady asks for the truth. Is Victor planning on killing his own wife? Later, Brady has checked the grounds for Nicole, but doesn't find her. Victor is still standing there in the foyer for some reason (LOL) and tells him not to waste his time on Nicole. Brady refuses to give up on this as he'd never forgive himself if one of them ended up dead.

AT THE BRADY HOME, a replay of the garbled message from Billie is played. The ISA confirmed it's Billie's voice and want Bo to come to Europe to help them find her. Bo's reluctant with the serial killer in town, but Hope encourages him. Spector tells him there's no telling how long he'll be gone. Remembering her vision of Bo's headstone during Roman's funeral, Hope tries to convince him to go. He wonders if it's a setup to get him out of town and Billie's just trying to get him back again. He finally agrees, willing to do whatever it takes to solve this case. Spector leaves to give them time to say goodbye. Bo goes to go pack, but Hope knows he'd forget socks or something and goes to do it herself. Later we see her struggling to carry two heavy bags as Shawn bids his dad good luck and leaves. Bo sees the two bags and says he won't lug two bags around. She tells him he won't, she's going along. He tells her no way. She admits she thought she was okay with this too, but her hands started shaking when packing. She tells him he's bullheaded and she loves him. He asks if that means she'll stay home and take care of things there. She agrees to let him go alone. He carries her upstairs to make sure she doesn't forget him ;-) Later Hope's holding Zack saying Doug and Julie just brought him home. Bo gives his son a hug and tells him he'll miss him (Zack tells him the same, awww). He whispers something in Zack's ear to tell Mommy when she looks sad. Zack looks up at Hope and says “Daddy loves Mommy” (too cute). Later he's finally ready to leave. He can't believe he's leaving her and after many kisses and I love yous, dons his leather jacket and walks out the door. The serial killer is watching from the shrubs....as the previews for the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES roll....

Philip and Lucas rush in and find Kate out cold on her bed and a bottle of pills on the floor..

Tony tells Celeste he knows who the serial killer is and will announce it before the day is over. Celeste tells him if he's not dead before then...(yeah, how many others got killed by waiting too long to announce the killer's name)

Victor tells Nicole that when Tony announces she's the killer that the good people of Salem will want her head. She tells him if heads will roll it will be his and Tony Dimeras....

A new day in Salem as preparations are underway for the circus fundraiser, and the town is agog over a huge ad placed in the paper. Looks like our Salemites will be heavily involved in circus acts. (This show jumps around a lot, with scenes lasting barely a minute or two, so bear with me……)

NICOLE IS READING AN AD in the Spectator, that says the name of the serial killer is to be revealed at the Horton Circus fundraiser. Both Brady & Victor come in, with Victor saying her days are numbered, and Brady asking if these two are planning to kill each other. Nicole runs upstairs and Brady is perplexed. Later, Nicole comes down, and listens in on phone as Victor talks with Tony. She leaves the house with a gun in her purse. Inside, Victor picks up a picture of Nicole, saying he knows what she is up to, and he will stop her.

LUCAS & PHILIP ARE ALSO COMMENTING on the ad, but are worried about their mom, who won’t answer her phone. Lucas tried to get food sent up, but the hotel said she was not eating. They go into her bedroom, unable to waken her, finding an empty pill bottle on the floor. As Phil dials 911, she wakes up, yelling at them to leave her alone. She threw the pills away….& the boys see the empty liquor bottle. She wants to stay in bed, her life is over, Roman is dead. (Now finally someone in Salem is showing their grief over losing a loved one). She throws the guys out, curling up in her bed. Lucas has to leave, as he is in charge of the circus preparations, so Philip decides he will go back, & use some tough Marine tactics on his mom. He tries to reason w/her, saying how Roman never gave up when he lost Caroline or Cassie, but Kate won’t have any of it.

SHAWN WAKES UP BELLE who was having a nice dream about the killer having been caught, her parents back together & Bo back home. (Belle has a nice new haircut, looks lovely….too bad Shawn didn’t get one, too!) Shawn shows Belle the ad in the paper, and both are worried. Meanwhile, John arrives at Hope’s to check on her, and brings her newspaper in, showing her the ad. John is sure Tony put the ad in the paper. Hope tries to get info to no avail. Belle & Shawn arrive, and talk of being in the circus themselves.

AT DIMANSION, TONY is dressed in a tiger kimono (oh, please!), caressing some sword, as Celeste arrives. This is in that meditation room of his. She asks if he put that ad in the paper, and he admits it, saying he had a revelation last night, and knows who the killer is. Celeste is worried & argues with him. He shows her the tiger tooth & claw again, and she momentarily sees blood on them. Hope & John arrive, & again Tony admits to putting the ad in the paper. John demands a name NOW, but that is a no-go. They all have words, as Hope warns Tony he will not get into the circus, as guards have instructions not to let him in. John & Hope leave & return to her house, where she runs in to answer a ringing phone. It’s Bo…..the Billy trail is cold. She mentions the circus fundraiser that day, they say their I love you’s and hang up. She tells John she did not tell Bo of the ad, so not to worry him.

JAN IS OUTSIDE MARLENA’S OFFICE, drooling, as usual over Shawn’s picture. Inside, Sami is showing Marlena the ad, telling her she is happy John will be caught, CAGED!!!, and her mom will be safe. (the choice of words for everyone is something else) Marlena has a flashback to her vision of being attacked by the tiger, being on the ground with John bringing her around, & then looks at a picture of John, which morphs into a tiger face, and then back into John again. Sami leaves, Jan comes in (wonder why they do not see each other? LOL). Jan mentions having a new friend (Nicole), & Marlena wants her to tell Belle & Shawn she is back in town. But she says no, not yet. They hear Belle & Shawn out in the hall, & Marlena goes out to greet them, saying she is with a patient, etc. She returns to Jan, who brings up Marlena & John splitting up, and shows her an article in the Intruder. Marlena sidesteps that issue, saying this is about Jan, not her..then realizes they are out of time. Jan leaves, running into Nicole outside in the hall. (wonder what Nicole is doing there??) Nicole wants a favor, Jan is late for a manicure, but Nicole says since she knows about Jan stalking Belle & Shawn, when she says jump, Jan had better say how high? Jan agrees to do the favor.

REX & MIMI ARRIVE AT THE CIRCUS GROUNDS early, & run into Bonnie, all dolled up in a glittery cowgirl outfit. (don’t you love the circus being right next door to the church & cemetery?) Bonnie asks Rex if he wants to join her in the kissing booth, they could make lots of money. LOLOL. Then shows them her prospective act, with a hoop, that a decorated, but uncooperative, Max is supposed to jump thru. Max runs off, with Bonnie chasing him, and we see Max’s nose in a cardboard box with a hockey mask in it. Brady & Philip meet up, yakking about which one will be Bozo. Sami picks up a big drill, and thinks of doing Kate in. She has a fantasy of being announced by the ringmaster as the Princess of Prestidigitation (sleight of hand). She prepares to saw a lady in two……who else but Kate? We hear Kate screaming, as a closeup then of Sami innocently saying, but I did not know the saw was a real one. Back to the present, as Lucas spots her, and warns her against hurting one hair of his mother’s head.

Two men deliver a very heavy crate inside a tent, leave, & Celeste comes in. She is startled as the lid begins to rise. (Only one guess as to why this happens!, lol) Bonnie is chasing after Max, who shows up with a black leather glove in his mouth. Then runs off again. A shirtless Brady (awww, c’mon Days. It is mid-winter!!) spots Nicole and follows her. Kate thanks Phil for snapping her out of her doldrums, saying she does belong there at the circus. Belle, Shawn, Rex & Mimi arrive with Phil’s costume….and he laughingly says, no way. But they all say, yeah, they are not too happy about what they have to wear either.The 5 young people leave as Sami mutters – “grieving widow? By the time I am finished with her, she’ll have something to cry about”.

Brady loses sight of Nicole, but runs into Bonnie, who is looking for Max. We see Max come into the tent with the cardboard box. A black gloved right hand reaches into the box, picking up the hockey mask, then pats Max on the head, takes the glove from his mouth, and pats him on the head again. Over to the other tent, where Celeste sees Tony emerge from the crate, saying he is ready to take on the killer. Back to the killer, now wearing the hockey mask. And the previews show…..

Tony saying, prepare yourself, Celeste. The shock waves will reverberate for years to come.

Bo on the phone to Hope saying he has to find Billie and get her to tell him the name of the killer, before anyone else is hurt.

The circus begins as opportunities arise for murder, fun, mayhem and more. Our Salemites risk lives and limbs walking tightropes and dodging knives while the serial killer wanders around unnoticed. Jennifer makes a decision about the baby.

HOPE visits JENNIFER and learns she left helping out at the circus after getting a call from Lexie. She has to decide today if she's going to continue with her pregnancy. Hope agrees to go to the hospital with Jennifer to learn more. Hope reminds her cousin that Abby needs her and Jennifer says the she and Abby need the baby. Abby overhears Jennifer telling Hope she can't lose it and rants about how she better not kill the baby like she killed daddy.

AT the HOSPITAL... Jennifer and Hope are now in an exam room as Lexie suggests Jen tell Abby the risk Jennifer would face (her life) if she carried the baby. Hope tells her that Doug, Julie and Gram are on their way over. Later Lexie's face shows she doesn't have good news for Jen. Lexie warns her there's a good possibility she would die as well as the baby and Abby could be an orphan. Hope calls Bo from the hospital payphone, telling him that he better come home safe to her. He hangs up saying to tell Jen he's keeping her in his prayers.

After Jen's dressed, Hope hugs her and Lexie asks to speak with her alone. Jen cries saying Jack is the only one she needs to talk to about this right now and he's not here. Jen overhears Abby telling Julie that Daddy sent this baby so that she and Mommy wouldn't be alone. Jen asks Hope to stay with her when she tells them. She tells them all that she's thought and prayed and has come to a decision. She's decided to keep the baby. This baby was Jack's gift to her and she's going to believe everything will be okay.

AT the CIRCUS...Belle and Mimi both are wearing the same short skirt outfit for their tightrope part. They tell Shawn, Philip and Rex to come out and reluctantly they do in their black sparkling tights and no shirts (it's a wonder that more Salem men don't get pneumonia from rarely wearing a shirt in the mid of winter, ha!)

Doug and Julie vow never to retire themselves, but remind their “baby” he will after the circus. Doug decides “baby” needs a better name and shows Julie his suggestion. Later they run into Mickey and tell him they're going to the hospital to be there for Jennifer and will pick up Alice on the way. They'll tell Jennifer he's praying for her.

Sami sees Lucas and Kate looking around and the two exchange barbs about being there and not home mourning Roman. Kate says Roman knew she loved him and Sami says she's there for her (Lucas corrects her) “their” son. Kate said this charity meant a lot to Roman and Lucas decides to keep her busy and talks to her about helping to raise $$ for Roman's memory. We hear Kate answer his request by saying he might as well order her coffin right now. He's a knife thrower and wants Kate to be the damsel on the spinning wheel he throws knives at. He assures her the knives come through the back, but Sami lurks nearby saying her dream (replay of her saw cutting Kate) will come true after all. Lucas sweet talks her into a great way to earn money for a charity Roman loved and she finally agrees. Sami plots to make sure Kate gets killed but has to get Lucas out of the way so he can't rescue her. Philip sees Kate in her outfit (that was a quick change and nice fit too!) and hopes everything goes okay. Sami brings something she tells Lucas that Will baked and he takes a bite and puts it back, saying it didn't taste right. She remembers some castor oil on the counter in the kitchen (yeah, right) and he better hit the portapotty, which he does. She puts a nail through the door so he can't get out, but Will sees her and complains she didn't say anything about his costume (she was starting to explain she was playing a game with his dad thinking he saw what she did). Grandpa Shawn comes in dressed as another clown and the two walk off. She finds a real knife to use for the knife throwing routine.

The tightrope act begins and we find Belle and Mimi on one side (Philip is climbing up to their platform) and Shawn, Rex on the other. The girls are nervous about the height they're at, but Belle goes out on the rope with her bar for balance to meet Shawn as Mickey announces them (oh pahleez, I'm sure, probably for the first time? Is this a new way to kill Salemites?) Shawn and Belle complete their part of the act without falling and return to the platform where Mimi and Philip await them. Bonnie is down below hugging Mickey as she nervously watches. She hopes her Meems doesn't get dizzy and asks Mickey if he doesn't mind if she holds on to him while watching. She tries to sweet talk him into sitting on the dunk tank, but he refuses (atta boy Mick!). It's Rex and Mimi's turn. They meet in the middle and she gets dizzy and one foot falls as she rests her head on his shoulder as everyone oohs and ahhs below. Mimi faints and Rex drops the bar to the ground and picks up Mimi and walks her off the rope to the platform. Philip raises his hands and points it at them like it was part of the act. Mimi wakes up startled and Belle tells her she's a star. Mimi curtsies (better thank Rex too, haha) Mickey disappears and Mimi rushes up to Bonnie as she hugs her. She tries to get Mimi to sit in the dunking booth.

Tony tells Celeste shock waves will reverberate for years to come after tonight. She remembers looking through the mask and warns him. He admits feeling the danger ahead. She says his having the tigers tooth and claw is not a good sign. The killer lurks overhearing Tony's safe as long as the tiger stays in his cage.

Bonnie chases after Max and arrives saying to just kill her now. She clarifies she'll have a stroke chasing after Max. The killer is hiding behind clothes and Bonnie gets Max and leaves. Later she sprays a ton of hairspray on her hair and then goes to light up a match. Mimi rushes in and stops her, asking where Max is. Bonnie sent him home (what, in a cab? LOL) saying Max let her down. Mimi hopes she took the horns off Max's head so he wouldn't confuse his doggy friends. Bonnie has a new way to get money and shows Mimi her dunking booth. Mimi figures she wouldn't get anyone to sit in it, but Mickey comes out wearing his emcee (?) outfit straightening his tie as Bonnie smiles. Bonnie figures people would love to dunk their local “Salemites”.

The killer lurks in the supply tent and sees two animal handlers open an unlocked metal cabinet labeled “Veterinary supplies”. They need to tranq the elephant to ensure he's calm for the show and there are two bottles on the shelf. The other one (with the skull and crossbones) would make any animal wild (then why have it there and in a tent any kid can walk in and take?) They take the tranq and leave the door to the cabinet open as they stroll out (anyone who works for a circus is probably ranting themselves about now..).

Celeste gets a headache hearing the tiger roar and people screaming in her head. She sees the tiger lying in the cage and asks the handler to put an extra lock on the tigers cage. He assures her the cat is a pussy cat, but agrees and does so. The killer puts the other drug on a dart and heads for the tiger, walking past Lucas banging on the portapotty knowing Sami locked him in it.

We find Kate being strapped to the wheel as Mickey announces a last minute replacement (being Lucas is unavailable) as the knife thrower. Sami walks out in a gold outfit (amazing it was just backstage apparently) and shows the audience how sharp her sword was as Kate yells NO. Mickey blindfolds the protesting Kate as Sami throws her first knife. The audience ooohss. Kate gets the blindfold off and the knife is next to her face. She knows the knife is real as Sami mutters this time she won't miss. Philip and Brady chat about Sami doing the act with Kate and Philip said Lucas was suppose to do it. They exchange glances.

Belle and Shawn go to their next job, the Kissing Booth. They find another couple manning the booth that they're going to relieve and it's the couple from “Average Joe”. They liked the job and the female half got a $100 tip from the last kisser. (sorry, don't watch the show and know who they are). Belle and Shawn tell them his parents started the kissing booth and are now happily married (Belle tweaks Shawn's cheeks saying they have two cute kids too). Later we see a blindfolded Shawn kissing (all the girls are cute, amazing). Belle rushes around and kisses him, but he knows it's her. She decides to close the booth and the two of them kiss away.

At the dunking booth, Bonnie decides to sit on the dunk chair herself. Rex announces her and Mimi decides to cough up the first $5 to take a shot herself. She must be a good ball thrower as Bonnie gets worried, saying she just sprayed her hair. She begs Mimi to miss so the people behind her can pay up and try..but Meems refuses and hits it dead on and Bonnie goes SPLASH. (high 5 to Meems!)

The killer loads the drug laden dart in a dart gun and walks into the tiger tent (no one sees the Salem Killer at all lurking in the circus, come on!!) Pop Shawn and Will come to see the tiger. They walk out and we see the tiger is now named HORTON. The killer removes their mask and blows the dart into the tiger. Tony and Celeste are nearby and hear him growl angrily as he puts Celeste behind him....

On the Next DAYS OF OUR LIVES...

Doug tells Jennifer and others that they have a big surprise for them...

Celeste asks Tony to tell her now who the killer is...he tells her he thought she'd never ask...as we see his face through the killer's mask.

Sami cries to Marlena that she thought Kate would rot in hell, but she will probably too and she'll never see anyone she loves ever again...

Shawn finds something and says “oh my God”...

as the credits roll..

REPLAY of the killer using a blow dart to inject the tiger w/the poison. (and don’t you wonder why no one ever sees that dart??) Belle & Shawn stop kissing to comment on the tiger’s loud growls, but then resume. Replay of Bonnie splashing around in the dunk tank. Rex helps her out as she yaps about 36 hrs of labor & a C-section to boot, and this is the gratitude she gets. (referring to Mimi causing her to fall in, lolol). She is freezing, has lost her contacts. Mickey comes along, taking her to get some other clothes to dry off, as Bonnie says she heard body heat is very warming. LOL

Doug, Julie, Hope, Jennifer & Abby are all at the tiger cage, wondering why he is so restless. Celeste is with Tony, having her visions and tells Tony he will die, and his secret will go with him. She wants Tony to tell her. Marlena arrives, sees the tiger, has her own vision repeat of the tiger leaping at her. John arrives, but she rushes away, refusing to talk to him at all. Now it is Kate, as Sami throws a knife that lands right next to Kate’s neck. A drop of blood appears, and Kate says she is bleeding. Brady & Philip watch, with Brady commenting this is better than Fear Factor (remember Ali Sweeney was on that show! Lol). Jen, Hope, John & Marlena watch, too, wondering what happened to Lucas, since it was supposed to be his act. In another area, Nicole & Victor have their usual words. Bonnie has dried off, and has donned a clown suit of sorts.

Lucas manages to escape from his porta potty prison, & rushes out to see what Sami is up to. Everyone is watching, and John wonders if knives are real. Marlena asks why he is always so suspicious of Sami, & he retorts, you mean like you are of me? Sami taunts Kate, taking a couple of steps closer, so she won’t miss this time. Lucas realizes what is going on, grabs a whip, and as Sami throws the knife, cracks the whip, knocking the knife aside. They pretend it was part of the act, as Sami takes a bow. Lucas & Phil go to untie Kate, while John picks up the knife, showing Marlena it was real, not rubber. Now Marlena has a terrible fantasy of John trying to kill her with the knife. Everyone realizes the knives are real, and Sami picks up another one, threatening John. She is crying as she talks of her father. Marlena steps in front of John, gently telling her no, (sort of reminds me of when she put her head in the guilliotine at Aremid to save John) that Sami really loves John, he cared & nurtured her all those years.
