DIMERA MANSION
Lucas is working in Tony’s study and thinking about Sami ..as we see her walk in looking sexy, telling him she found her voice and asking where his is. (this guy’s got it bad!)..but it’s Cassie entering, asking if he’s okay.

Elsewhere Tony gives Bart the tube Maya gave him, to send for analysis. Bart asks about the “light saber” and Tony corrects him with “laser” (LOL). He dispatches Bart as Rex enters, asking what’s in the vial Bart had. They talk about Rex not needing to know right now and about Cassie and Rex being his children. Rex’s concern they aren’t a burden on him. Tony assures him he’s happy to have them and after Rex warned him about flying with the laser, he (Tony) will personally escort the laser on his yacht to South America for testing there. Rex tells him how powerful the prototype was and how it caused the earthquake. This surprises Tony, but you can see how proud of Rex he is.

Back in the study, Lucas is feeling amorous and tells Cassie she’s beautiful and kisses her as Tony and Rex walk in. Tony asks what’s this. Tony tells Cassie he’s going to be gone for a while and asks to speak with Lucas alone. He asks him to keep a close eye on Cassie while he’s gone being she’s been in trouble (yeah, being arrested for prostitution is a little trouble..don’t stay around to help Tony). Lucas mentions to Tony that Sami is home from the hospital and he’ll be taking Will over there tonight after camp. Tony’s concerned about Sami being home alone. Thinking Tony’s worried about Sami suing him for what happened, Tony tells him it only happened in his home, but was Sami’s own fault. Lucas figures Sami will blame him for what happened (doubt it the way she was cuddling up to you in the hospital, haha), but Tony tells Lucas Sami can’t see what’s in front of her own eyes.

Later Cassie pours Lucas a tonic, asking what’s wrong. Lucas tells her he’s not afraid of Tony, but of hurting her being she’s so young. Little Ms. Innocent assures him that won’t happen as she grabs for his belt. We later see him recinching his belt as she tells him she wants to be with him. He leans in for a kiss and she tells him they can’t do it there, but later will. Seductively she tells him he’ll regret it if he tries to run away from her, but agrees to be together later.

Mimi arrives with a cd with hospital records she downloaded (Salem Hospital has definitely got to hire a computer person to safeguard their records!!!). He starts to do so, but takes a Mimi break as they kiss on his bed while the computer does it’s thing. Afterward they tell each other they love each other after making love (not to be remiss…but why aren’t we seeing Jack and Jennifer, the newlyweds, doing the same…????????) as the computer signals it’s done. Rex looks at the results in surprise as Meems asks if there’s a match.

SAMI’S HOME
Marlena’s got Sami home to her apartment. She offers to make her pancakes, but Sami is too excited to eat (and knows her mom’s cooking probably, haha). Marlena orders her to rest as per discharge instructions. Sami writes something on her white board and Marlena tells her NO. Sami had written TONY, but finishes with WILL PAY. Marlena agrees, but not by Sami. She’s to focus on getting better and around those who love her. She offers her food again (maybe having a kitchen in sight is a good thing for Marlena as she never cooks at the Penthouse, LOL!), but Sami indicates she’s tired (yeah, right). Marlena informs her she’ll be back in a few hours to check on her. She writes Lucas all over her white board as she paces…picking up Will’s ball and glove with a smile. She looks at Will’s picture, missing her son and tears up.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
It’s breakfast time at the Kiriakis mansion as Nicole breaks the news about her new job offer from Brady. Brady’s shakes his head, wanting to have handled it himself. Victor doesn’t agree, saying it’s part of the Titan holdings. As they’re arguing about it, Larry pops his head from the other side of the window and both Nicole and Brady see him. Brady say’s “it’s Larry Welch”.

He was only referring to the newspaper headlines saying CONVICTED MURDERED KILLED IN FREAK ACCIDENT. Nicole acts surprised, but Victor knew, hoping he stays dead (LOL, he’s lived in Salem long enough no one is guaranteed dead there). Nicole heads out for her morning ride and gives Larry the $200 she got from Brady to buy a gun to kill Victor while Brady and Victor talk about his not letting Nicole work. Victor says he wants Nicole home with him in the evening, not at a night club. Victor tells him home and business life should remain separate, citing him and Kate and Brady and Chloe’s experiences as an example. He asks why Brady cares about Nicole (hmmm, because in real life she’s his wife and they both work and live together???). Brady builds Victor up by telling him how he always respected him and even though he knew he didn’t like Chloe, kept his feelings to himself when she was sick. Brady confides about his dream that Isabella told him she was worried about Victor. Victor tells Brady he’s a wise young man. Brady asks then why won’t he let Nicole help him then? Victor changes his mind and tells Brady he can have Nicole’s help at the Blue Note then and to go rush and tell her the good news. Brady rushes outside (as Larry ducks behind a convenient shrub) to see (we hear) her drive off (must be a vroom vroom sportscar judging by the sound).

He reminds her he can’t leave the barn to get a gun. She asks what she should do as he kids about her being a virgin. He says there’s a guy he owes a favor to and now she’ll owe that favor.

BASIC BLACK
At Basic Black, John and Philip talk about Belle’s discovery to their being spies. Philip figures Belle’s involved with Shawn’s working for Maya/Mickey. John feels it all comes back to Tony. TEK arrives in a suit with the lab analysis report. He reports both Maya’s ship and Tony’s yacht are getting ready to go to South America. Philip hopes his father’s not involved and John hopes it’s only his brother that is as well.

MARLENA’S OFFICE
John arrives, asking about Sami. He hates to do this to her right now, but has to leave. He doesn’t want her to be involved, and kisses her goodbye. She says she won’t say goodbye, just that she loves him. He tells her he’ll be home as soon as he can, not knowing when that will be.

BACK TO SAMI’S
Tony arrives and she sees him in the peephole as he says he has a surprise for her. She lets him in reluctantly and gives her a jewelry box. Her mouth drops as she opens it to see a diamond on a gold chain (necklace?) as an apology. He didn’t mean for what happened to go that far. He tells her she’s more valuable then that diamond and is herself a diamond in the rough. He came to tell her he’s leaving town for a while. She writes that she can’t accept it. He won’t take it back, but tells her he can’t apologize for everything his father did to her in her childhood as he wasn’t part of that, but he forgives her for what she did to his sister. He hopes to hear similar words from her some day when she can talk again and bids her good health as he leaves. He smiles to himself in the hallway as she smirks holding the necklace.

Marlena returns to check on Sami. She offers to bring some eggplant Parmesan for her from Tuscany for dinner (yum), but Sami writes she’s having dinner with Lucas and Will. Marlena’s concerned, thinking Lucas won’t let Sami have Will alone. Sami indicates she has no problem being with Lucas. Marlena tells Sami that Lucas is rejoicing in her misery (I haven’t seen that, have you?) and needs help. Sami writes that she is going forward (Brandon who?). Marlena tells Sami it’s okay to forgive Lucas, but don’t trust him. When Tony returned to Salem he asked her (Marlena) to be around him as she could make a difference in his life. That was a lie and look what happened. He ended up hurting Sami. She doesn’t know if she can forgive him for that and doesn’t want him (Tony/Lucas or both) around her again to hurt her. She offers to get dinner for the 3 of them, but Sami writes she doesn’t need a babysitter as Marlena laughs.

THE PIER
Nicole meets up with the punk (think it’s the same guy who Bo and Hope were looking for, but not sure. Brady followed her there (he IS fast to get in his car and catch up!!) and sees her talking to the guy.

DIMERA YACHT
Even though the yacht is still docked, Bart has a queasy stomach and wants to leave, LO (boy, can I relate!). Tony orders him to watch over Rex and Cassie before releasing him. Bart rushes to get Tony’s bags so he can get off the yacht as the captain asks if he needs anything. Tony and the captain both walk rather quickly out of a cabin as Tony locks the door. John comes out of another door, in his wet scuba gear (that won’t drip I’m sure)..and unlocks the same cabin door to investigate. We see TEK and Philip talking at Basic Black about how dangerous this mission is and hope that this mission is the end of Tony DiMera, not John Black as the previews for Wednesday roll…

Sami found her voice in a bell. She’s manically waving and ringing it at Kate (LOL) as Roman walks in asking his usual, what da hell is going on in here..

Nicole asks Brady if he was following her…and he asks Nicole if she’s in the habit of buying presents from strange guys in alley’s (as we see the gun in her purse)..

Lucas peels off Cassie’s clothes and is down to her bra on the bed.

Mimi asks Rex if he knows this woman (his mother) and he says his mother is….

As the credits roll…

MONDAY, JUNE 30TH, 2003

Summary: Lucas and Sami are caught making nice-nice (by HIS mom and HER dad, no less!)…Shawn wants an explanation from Belle…Nicole and Brady have a night out at the Blue Note…as Bo and Hope show what teamwork is all about. (IMO, Sami/Lucas fans as well as Bo/Hope fans want to be sure to see this one!)

At the Blue Note…
Shawn and Belle sit to talk as he tries to explain why he was there with Maya. He says that he saw her following Philip to the docks and then when Maya showed up, he called her to meet him as a distraction. But Shawn wants to know why Belle was even there to begin with. She tries to explain that she overheard Philip on the phone talking about going there and she decided to follow him (uh, Belle…that’s what I call being NOSEY! ;-) But Shawn is upset that she ended up in danger and he wants the truth, strongly suspecting she is hiding something from him. She finally admits that she isn’t telling him everything. About that time Brady pulls up a chair and sits down to chat. But Belle pretty much tells him to get lost and he takes the not-so-subtle hint and leaves them alone. Shawn begins to needle her again and she tells him that she found out something about Philip and that he isn’t your normal marine. Shawn wants more details, but she holds true to her promise to Philip and won’t tell him anymore. Shawn is still upset that she is keep secrets from him, but doesn’t blame her, so they kiss. Belle brings up Maya and her dislike for her. She says she never understood the term “barracuda” until now and talks about how she keeps throwing herself at her boyfriend. Shawn likes the sound of that and they kiss.

Brady and Nicole arrive (Hmmm…I don’t see Nico anywhere, Victor must be softening up on her ;-) He is talking to the bartender as she gets a call on her cell. It’s Larry (saying it’s Mr. Ed calling and making horse sounds…LOL). He asks if she forgot about him and asks why she didn’t invite him along. They banter back and forth (funny stuff). She tells him to just kill her husband as Brady overhears that part. She covers, saying it’s a contractor that is doing some work at the mansion and if they don’t finish, it will kill Victor. She returns to her call as Larry begins making a list of food and wine he wants her to bring him. He then does his best lip-smacking impression of Hanibal Lector (ROFL…I just LOVE him). She tells him he is crazy and hangs up on him.

At the Hospital…
Lucas is sitting with Sami on the bed as he comforts her. Kate and Roman come barging in and both are shocked to see them. Lucas nervously tries to explain, saying it is about Will. But neither of their parents believe it for a minute. Lucas goes out into the hall, with Kate right on his heels, yapping like a guard dog. Roman stays with Sami, asking what he can do for her. He offers to take her home tomorrow, go to the store for her, etc. (I know this is crude, but wouldn’t it be funny if she asked him to go to the store and buy her a box of tampons? Sorry, I couldn’t resist that one…but a man NEVER asks if he can go to the store for a woman!!!) She writes on her whiteboard that she is fine on her own. In the hall, Kate lights into Lucas with all fours, asking if he has totally lost his mind. He tries to assure her that it was only an innocent hug and assures her that he is NOT falling for Sami. But Kate isn’t stupid and continues to harass him, reminding him of all the things that Sami has done to him in the past. Inside, Roman brings up the fact that Tony and Lucas keep visiting and she writes that she hates Tony and does NOT want to see him. Roman asks about Lucas and she writes “he is Will’s father”. In the hall, Lucas has reached the boiling point and begins yelling at Kate, just as Roman comes out. Roman suggests that they go to the Blue Note to relax. After they leave, an agitated Lucas storms into Sami’s room accusing her of being up to something. He angrily tells her that he is NOT falling for it this time and storms out, leaving her confused. After he is gone, she throws her whiteboard at the door. In the hallway, his conscious gets the better of him and he begins to feel bad. He goes back to her room and watches her through the window. He has flashbacks of when she was on death row and he saved her life…then of the events at DiMansion leading up to her accident. (Theses scenes highlight the BEST of Ali and Bryan…I forgot how powerful those execution scenes were!) He continues to watch her as she turns to him, crying. (*) He goes inside and apologizes for what happened earlier and for his behavior. He says it is because he is having confused feelings and that the truth is that he loves her. He sits on the bed with her and they begin kissing, She pulls off his shirt as they get really hot and heavy and he begins to undress her as well. We hear a voice say “Mr. Roberts”. (Now, go back to the * and start over, for yes, all of this was only a daydream!…Hey, I fell for it…hook, line and sinker!!!) Lucas snaps back to reality as the voice is that of a nurse, asking if he is okay. She goes into Sami’s room and retrieves her whiteboard as Lucas watches through the window. Sami sees him out there, but he turns, and with his head down, leaves.

Back to the Blue Note… Kate and Roman arrive at the Blue Note and see Shawn and Belle there. But they decide not to bother them as they take a corner table. Nicole is at the bar chatting it up with the bartender. Kate and Roman discuss finding Lucas and Sami together and both decide that neither of them are saints and it would be best if they kept them apart. Brady returns to the bar as Nicole talks about how the Blue Note needs a face lift and what she would do. Brady likes the sound of her ideas and offers her a job changing its image to attract a younger more upscale clientele. She gets really excited, but knows that Victor would never go for it. Brady doesn’t understand what the problem is and offers to intercede on her behalf. They talk about the menu, lighting, etc. and then she asks him for a $200 advance (to buy a gun?). He hands it over, a bit bewildered. Kate and Roman continue their flirting and drinking (Kate seems a bit tipsy) as he says he loves taking her out, but not nearly as much as he enjoys taking her home. She asks ‘my place or yours?’ He says his is closer so they rush out of there.

Brady & Brady…
Bo and Hope are chained up back to back on a chair as Jessie and his gang say that they could shoot them, but it would be too noisy and that they have a better way to take care of them. He cranks up a car and leaves them to the carbon monoxide gas. After they are gone, Hope asks Bo what is his plan? He clearly doesn’t have one as they struggle to get free. Bo comes up with the plan and tells her that they should bounce up and down on the chair which they do. Bo jokes about it possibly being their last dance as she asks him if he wants to tango. Eventually, they get in tandem and their combined weight breaks the chair and they tumble to the floor. They roll back and forth until they get over to the car and are able to get on their feet. (BTW, all of this looks really painful to me…some truly physical scenes for Peter and Kristian…and they do a GREAT job. Kudos to them!) Still chained back to back, Bo leans over and carries her on his back over to the grease guns. He has her jump on a pedal which shoots oil all over their hands and backs. Hope talks about how sore she is and how gross that is and Bo comments that if they weren’t in danger, it would be kinky (LOL!) They are finally able to slip out of their chains and rush outside, only to find that their brand-new super SUV vehicle is gone. Bo is furious and says that they made a HUGE mistake…they just made it personal…as the previews roll.

On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

Mimi hands Rex a CD, telling him that she downloaded the info from the hospital’s mainframe. She says she hopes that the info he needs AND his mother is on there…

John (to Marlena): I come to say goodbye. (Marlena): I won’t say goodbye…I’ll say that I love you. (John): I love you too…

Sami walks into DiMansion (looking mighty fine) and says to Lucas: “Hi, I found my voice…now where’s yours?” (definitely a daydream)…

Brady, Nicole and Victor are sitting around the table as we see a shot of Larry in the window. Brady says “Oh my God…Larry Welch” as we see the shocked reaction from Nicole…

And the credits roll…

Summary: Tony and John survive, Lucas comforts Sami (GREAT SCENES!!), Belle and Marlena rejoice in the good news and Shawn does the ISA's work for them..last time it was the Salem PD's (when he stopped the mayor) (what's wrong with this picture? maybe he should join Bo and Hope's business, at least they get PAID for their efforts)

Kiriakis Mansion
Show starts with Brady holding an ice bag on his head in his room with a headache. Nicole comes to check on him, bearing a glass of brandy to help him sleep. She informs him the cops are still checking the grounds as Brady goes on about the threats he had from the Blue Note, not believing they’d actually try to kill him. She apologizes to him again for what happened. Henderson knocks and tells Nicole she has a call from a “Mr. Ed”. Brady grabs the phone thinking it’s the repairman calling so late at night and says HELLO. Larry hangs up after Brady rants about it’s too late to be calling, yada yada. Brady tells Nicole she shouldn’t get any more calls tonight and she hopes not. He wonders if he overreacted and wants to call the guy back, but is grateful his headache is gone. She offers to help if he needs anything, she’s right down the hall.

In the hall Nicole calls Larry. She wants to call the whole thing off. She’d rather live there in the mansion then hurt anyone else. He doesn’t agree, he wants revenge. She tells him to just leave town being people think he’s dead and even offers to help get him some money. Nope, he wants to see Victor dead and he wants her lying next to him in paradise. She tells him that won’t happen, but he tells her it will. She hangs up in tears.

Sami and Lucas…
Back in his own apartment, Lucas is just about to pour himself a drink, but puts the bottle away when someone knocks. It’s Sami. She hands him a note to call Will (sleep over at camp apparently). He calmly reminds her they can only call once a day and lights went out ½ hr. ago at camp. He rationalizes Will’s not missing them as much as they miss him. He invites her to come over first thing in the morning and they’ll call him together. She is about to leave when Lucas answers the phone and is told about the yacht exploding. Hearing his reaction to the news, she stops to hear what happened and he tells her …and that Tony was on board. He softly tells her about John being on board too. He knows she and John had their differences, but figures he was a good stepfather, wasn’t he? Sami starts to cry and Lucas figures she won’t miss Tony as she looks at him in surprise at that statement. He’d almost figure she blew up Tony’s yacht herself after what happened. Sami stares at him in shock and gets up to leave as he apologizes profusely, explaining he’s in shock too and it’s just that Tony and John seem like bigger then life characters to have this happen to them. She stands there crying and he finally takes her into his arms to comfort her (man these two are GREAT together!!!!). Later we find him still comforting her and offering her a tissue. He gives her a cloth napkin(?) and she blows her nose. He asks if she’s okay and did she take her medicine when she holds her neck. She nods no and takes a pill from the bottle she had on her and he offers to take her home and put her to bed (aww, so cute). Her cell rings and she hands it to Lucas to answer for her. Marlena thinks she has a wrong number hearing his voice, but he explains he’s helping Sami. He gives the phone to Sami and tells Marlena to go ahead. Marlena tells her she hoped she reached her first, but tells her about the yacht and that Tony and John are okay. Sami’s surprised and hands the phone back to Lucas to handle again. Later, the pill’s kicked in and she stumbles and he catches her, saying they don’t need another accident. She hugs Will’s baseball mitt to her face and he reads her prescription bottle about how strong it is and insists on helping her home, holding on to her the whole way. She can’t unlock the door even, LOL, as he kids about no heavy machinery and unlocks the door for her. He helps her onto her bed and takes off her shoes as he covers her (she’s holding onto Will’s mitt).

Meanwhile, in her hotel room, Maya and her goon toast to Tony’s trip to Hell
as she laughs joyfully. Later her goon gets a call that Tony is okay and his astrologers assures him tomorrow will be better as the planets will be lined up. Maya knows better and orders him to alert the pilot that they’re heading out. Later she’s trying to fit all her clothes in one suitcase, not having much luck. Goon loads his gun telling her no one will stand in their way as she calls him an idiot and what to do (I wouldn’t be so nasty to someone holding a gun Maya!!)

At the loft,
Belle’s trying unsuccessfully to reach Marlena on the phone…when Marlena walks up with 2 bags of groceries (wonder what time it IS in Salem about now???). She walks in and since neither Philip, Shawn or TEK help her with her bags, drops them when she sees Belle so upset. She holds Belle and asks her what’s wrong. She notices TEK there too and wants answers. They tell her, but without a body, she doesn’t believe it, saying John’s survived more then this. The guys speculate that Marlena’s in denial and she overhears and corrects them that they’re too young too know what John can do. Shawn remembers Maya’s phone call and a referral to a boat and it clicks she’s responsible. He tells Philip it must be her and asks Philip to stay with Belle (oh right Shawn, at least take TEK, the other ISA guy!!) Belle notices Shawn’s gone and asks where he went. Philip said Shawn went to get more information (sorta true) and Belle believes it. As Philip changes the subject and gets Marlena’s groceries (broken eggs even, yuck) off the floor, Marlena’s cell rings. It’s John calling from the pay phone. Marlena shares the phone with Belle and they’re both relieved, as is Philip (where’s TEK?) He tells them he’s okay and being they don’t ask, tells them Tony is too. Marlena jokes she wasn’t sure if he and Tony wouldn’t kill each other and John says things change and they didn’t have enough air to do so. She offers to come get him, but he tells her he’ll get home and he’ll see her there. After hanging up, Marlena tells Belle they need to spread the good word before anyone else hears incorrectly. Belle tells Marlena she loves her and Marlena heads out. Philip apologizes for what he put Belle through and she’s so happy John’s okay, she hugs him.

Back to Maya’s hotel room…
Shawn walks up and overhears Maya and her goon through the door. He tells her he’s sorry the bomb didn’t kill Dimera and to stop calling him names. Shawn calls Philip, telling him she’s about to run and asks what to do (having a new Philip does make this sorta more believable, haha, hopefully Philip told him John and Tony survived). He knocks on the door and Maya tells him she has to leave, business calls, but Shawn tells her no (goon is holding gun on other side of door). He’s relentless in his determination to keep her there and finally persuades her to get rid of her guard. She orders the goon to take her bag to the plane and wait for her there. He doesn’t agree, but having Shawn want her so badly blinds her other emotions as she tells the goon she’s the boss. She pulls Shawn to the bed, but he tells her he has a surprise waiting for her somewhere else and then he’ll drive her to the airport. She stands back figures he’s up to something, he just agrees and kisses her passionately, saying this. Later, he and Maya are parked in his car and he checks his messages…Belle left one saying John and Tony are ok. He hangs up and cuffs Maya, giving her the choice between Tony or the ISA. She tries to sway him to go away with her, but he demands she choose and she decides the ISA is her best option. (Personally I would have opened the door if my hands were cuffed in front of me like that and run…but…).

Instead of calling Philip to meet them somewhere, Shawn takes Maya to Belle’s loft (now, how stupid is THAT), where Philip and TEK (the two ISA guys) are babysitting Belle. Maya flirts with the two guys, but puts her handcuffed arms around Shawn’s head and gives him a kiss goodbye as he pushes her away in front of Belle.

At the hospital somewhere
we see them closing curtains on bare feet as we see neatly made files for DIMERA and BLACK (how efficient!). The doctor felt for what they went through as the nurse asks if they should inform the next of kin (sounds like they’re dead). He dispatches the nurse to put away their wallets and personal belongings (guess they wrung them out?) and opens the curtains. We see Tony and John on the hospital beds, cranked so they’re sitting up and in blue pajamas, both with eyes closed. Tony’s obviously breathing and when the doctor puts his palm on John’s forehead, his eyes open. The doctor tells John (and now Tony’s awake too) that the coast guard rescued them just in the nick of time and they only are bruised it looks like. Tony asks about his crew and is told they fished many out of the water, not as badly hurt as he and John. John tries to get up, but the doctor tells him to rest until all the test results are in (how about a phone to call home??) and leaves. John tells Tony it’s true what they say…only the good die young. Tony asks what that says about John then, LOL, and he doesn’t know. John remembers some of the things Tony said and asks if he wants to recant being they aren’t dying soon after all. John asks if Tony wants to make peace or did the oxygen deprivation cause a lot of cheap talk?? The two discuss how they can end their feud. John suggests they stop keeping score. Both acknowledge that they saved each other’s lives. John reaches out his hand to Tony and Tony takes it and they shake.

After John talked to Marlena, he and Tony talk again about family. John asks Tony now that they’re starting a new chapter in their life, what about the jewels, the bomb, the laser, etc? Tony asks if this is a way to start a new relationship. He gets Tony to agree to leave him and his family alone after finding out Tony’s business isn’t illegal, just kinda “mirky”, but he probably will have to answer to the ISA. The doctor releases John and tells Tony it’ll just be a few minutes. Tony checks his temperature and smiles. John brings Tony a chocolate bar from the vending machine, but finds a note on Tony’s empty bed, saying SEE YOU AT HOME BROTHER….as the previews for tomorrow roll…

Rex and Mimi are in the shower together as she’s washing his chest…when the soap drops and she says OOPS…

Jack and Jen are together and he makes a comment about whenever he’s in the mood, Jennifer gets a headache as she turns to him with open mouth …and the last few notes of In the House theme song plays (well at least they’re ON the show..but unfortunately it looks like they’re on their stupid tv show doing it again talking to someone again)…as the credits roll…

Summary: As the brothers face the Grim Reaper, John and Tony come to terms with each other…Kate, Roman, Abe and Lexie enjoy an evening at Tuscany…Cassie fears that no one will ever love her…as Belle is the first to get the bad news about John.

Tuscany…
Kate and Roman have an evening out at Tuscany. Nice to see Maggie (if only briefly) as Roman gives her an update on Sami. Abe and Lexie arrive with Lexie suffering a bit of separation anxiety as she explains that Celeste insisted on staying with him for the evening. Roman comments something about how there is nothing like a new child coming into your life (cut to Rex, LOL). Later, Kate and Lexie go to the ladies room (so Lexie could call home and check on Theo and she finds out he is asleep in Celeste’s arms). They talk about how Kate and Roman have gotten closer, despite Sami’s attempts to break them up. Kate commends Lexi on out-smarting Sami, even though she feels a bit guilty over it. Kate hopes that she can fare as well as they talk about even without a voice, Sami seems to come between her and Roman. Back at the table, Roman and Abe are talking about how the Kate-Roman relationship has grown and how it is doing. They talk about how kids bring people together (Roman even throws in a few “what da hell’s” in there for good measure). Abe asks if he has ever considered having more kids, which throws Roman a bit, but finally says who knows? Back in the ladies room, Lexie assures Kate that it will work out, despite Sami. But Kate can’t help but worry as she talks about how Sami treats everyone. She tells her about how now Sami is using Lucas as well. She tells Lexie that she fears that her and Roman’s children will end up coming between them. Later all are back at the table and after dinner, they talk about what a good time they had and promise to do it again. But Lexie is anxious to get home so they leave. After they are gone, Kate talks about how happy they seem to be, now with a new child. Out of the blue, Roman asks Kate if she wants to go home and start working on a child of their own. She looks at him as if he just fell out the sky and tells him to bite his tongue…absolutely NOT.

Meanwhile at DiMansion…
Rex worries about Cassie as Mimi assures him that she will fine. She tries to get him to relax and begins kissing on his neck, causing him to jump up and rush to the computer. As he totally ignores Mimi (and she rattles a newspaper) he continues to work. He explains that when she was kissing him, she stimulated the nerves at the base of he cerebellum and gave him an idea (LOL at how she takes this news). They end up arguing with Mimi getting PO’d asking if she is just a silly diversion for him. He asks if she doesn’t have something to go and do and she grabs her things and takes off…to open the door and find an upset Cassie there. She barges on in (Rex is happy to see her) as she babbles on about being upset and how she and Lucas almost did it. (Funny, she didn’t seem that upset while at Echelon). She tells him that she told Lucas it is over and she never wanted to see him again. She assures him that she didn’t tell Lucas the truth as Mimi wonders if Rex and Cassie can keep the secret and live a lie. Rex says they can and in doing so, they will control their destinies. He says they will always have a place with the DiMeras…he is working on a plan to secure that. But Cassie worries if Tony finds out the truth, he will throw them out. Rex asks a down-and-out Cassie if she wants to go downtown with them, but she refuses, saying she just wants to be alone. Later, we see Rex and Mimi in the bed (thought they were going out?) as he gets up and heads to the computer. He thinks that his new invention will change all their lives. In the hallway Cassie has a pity party and laments how no one needs or loves her, as she sits alone and cries.

At the Loft…
Philip is helping Belle move in (that sure is fast…WOW, at all the huge boxes sitting everywhere! Could a young girl possibly have THAT many things?) Philip gives her a bouquet of flowers as a house warming and she hugs him…just as Shawn walks up to see. Shawn pulls Philip aside to give him an update on Maya. They plan on hacking into her computer system, but Philip needs a distraction…Shawn. Belle overhears that and is NOT happy about it. Shawn explains where he was earlier and she gets even more upset. She wants to help, but Philip says he must keep her out of it, for fear of what John will do to him. But Belle assures them that she can take care of herself. They promise to not keep any more secrets and will let her know what is going on. Philip gets a call from TEK who wants to talk with them, so he heads over to the loft. He arrives with bad news…and tells them about the explosion aboard the yacht and that Tony was aboard and feared dead. Belle is upset for Cassie and Rex and then Philip drops the bombshell and tells her that Tony wasn’t alone on board…her dad was on there as well. She screams “NOOOOO!”

On the DiMera Yacht (or What’s Left of it)…
John and Tony reflect on their grim situation. Tony wants to try and escape again, but John says it’s useless…this is it and short of a miracle, they will be sleeping with the fishes. They all but give up and talk about how ironic it is that they should end up like this. Tony comments that it seems that God DOES have a sense of humor. (Notice how John keeps calling him “Anthony” here). John asks if he knows who put the bomb on the ship which Tony denies. John asks what their lives would have been like if they had known from the start that they were brothers. Tony asks if he would have still stolen his wife (Kristen). They both soften as both admit the other has admirable qualities. Tony talks about how John kept investigating him and that the bomb was meant for him…not John…and that he should have just let go and he wouldn’t have now been in this situation. (As the water continues to rise and their breaths get shorter, it is difficult to understand every thing they are saying). John says it’s too late now. Tony regrets not watching his kids grow up into adulthood and John pays him a compliment on his new-found fatherhood. Tony regrets not knowing them sooner and now losing his chance. John assures him that Marlena will take care of them. Tony isn’t worried about Rex, but it is Cassie who needs love. John comments that she is a lot like Sami. Tony says that Sami is suffering now because of him, but John doesn’t blame him for it. (I can barely understand them now…the water is up to their mouths). With his last breaths, Tony tells John he will see him on the other side, even though he (Tony) may be headed in the other direction. With that, he surrenders and slips down into the water. John whispers “OK Tony…” and slips under himself. As we see John’s hand go down, you can hear a helicopter approaching in the distance…

Maya tells her goon that her bon voyage present to Tony sent him right where he belongs…to HELL…

Belle is on the phone saying, “No, no, this is NOT true…my father is NOT”…just as Marlena walks into the loft. With a horrified look on her face, she drops her packages and asks “what is it?…what’s wrong?”…

Lucas runs into a couple of surprises at Echelon, the Bounty Hunters close another case, while John & Tony take turns saving each other.

ECHELON is a busy place inside and outside tonight, as a disguised Hope worries to Tommy about the whereabouts of Bo. Lucas walks in (really looks rather spiffy in this sports jacket), sees the back of a new hostess, turns on the charm, but when she turns, is astonished to see Cassie. When she says she works there, he admonishes her cuz her father owns the place. Now she is surprised, and knows Tony would be angry, making Lucas promise not to tell him. Lucas questions Cassie about her turnon to him and then “stay away”, but she only says it would not work out between them. He lectures her about what real love is, talking about struggling to pay bills, staying together thru thick and thin, etc., and tho he has not experienced it yet, he hopes to. He tells her these men all just want some temporary attention, and then go home to their wives and girlfriends (& Lucas should know that lst hand) Cassie ignores him, wanting all the male attention she can get. She passes a table of men, who come on to her (all of this conversation sounds very forced to me) as she flirts right backs, asking what gym they work out at, etc., sitting on top the table as she pulls her skirt up showing a lot of leg.

Jessie comes up to Tommy, as Hope turns away. He thinks she looks familiar, but asks Tommy if he is still interested in the SUV. They leave, Hope begins to follow, only to run into Lucas. He is surprised, wondering what she is doing there, and in the wig, but she brushes him off, runs outside to see their SUV drive off. Inside the SUV, Tommy was admiring it, when Bo pops up from the back seat, with a gun, but Jesse has a gun on Tommy, and makes Bo drop his. They drive off, with Hope following, finally pulling into an alley. As Hope watches from her hiding place, Jesse has a gun to Tommy’s throat, orders Bo to kneel on the ground, promising he is going to meet his maker. Suddenly….”lights, camera, action…..!!!” LOLOL as headlights illuminate the area (surprising no one heard car engines, etc), distracting Jesse, allowing Bo to yell for Tommy to run, as he knocks the gun out of Jesse’s hand, punches him out, Hope retrieves the gun, Bo hands the cuffs to Tommy to do the honors, as he turns to Hope, saying well, they got their new car back. Clinch, kiss, and fadeout. LOLOL

ON THE KIRIAKIS TERRACE, Nicole has evidently jumped in and dragged an unconscious Brady out of pool, and begins CPR. Victor comes rushing out, she tells him Brady has been shot, and to get help. He calls 911. Brady eventually comes to, Victor says don’t move, you’ve been shot, Brady claims no……he heard a shot, turned around, slipped and fell in the pool, hitting his head. Victor pulls his gun, looking into the shrubbery where the shot came from, finding nothings, then asks Nicole what she meant by all the things she was saying to Brady during the CPR about it being a mistake, and it should not have happened. Nik wiggles out by claiming she had given Brady a hard time about moving in, it was a mistake, and she had not yet told him how sorry she was. LOL. The paramedics arrive, along with…..Guess WHO? Our missing Police Commander, Abe Carver. (Bet you thought I was gonna say Jack & Jen……nope, they are still missing!) Abe wonders who might be trying to kill Brady, who claims he cancelled a few bands at the Blue Note, and they were tough characters (Oh, pulleeeze!), may have sought revenge. Abe wonders if Brady might not have been the intended target, perhaps someone else (smart Abe!) and asks about the table setup at the far end. Nicole explains about her “surprise” for Victor. Since Abe got his 5 lines in, he and the paramedics leave…..and Nicole goes inside for more towels. (LOL…..couldn’t Brady & her both just go to their rooms for dry clothes?) Her phone is ringing, tis Larry, who is now at the motel on the south end of town. She chastises him for mistaking Brady for Victor, he is not happy cuz the police will be crawling around, Victor is smart, will figure out that he was the target, and take steps. He tells Nicole he plans on taking out Victor tomorrow!

AT MAYA’S PLACE, Shawn is on the cell phone to Philip, telling him not to worry……while Maya is on her phone in another room, hearing that the basket was delivered, and asks about the boat….then saying o.k. as she disconnects. Shawn comes in, overhearing the last part, and asks “what boat”. Maya gives him a song and dance about someone who collects antique ship replicas, and her finding one in some province in a tiny fishing village in Thailand. Mrs. Robinson begins her little seduction scene to the Graduate……oops sorry. LOL…Shawn asks Maya why she keeps coming on to him, knowing he has a girlfriend. She explains that if there was a pastry cart…..he would be the stud muffin! (Oh, jeez, GMAB), and then asks what is HE doing there, and why so interested in the boat. He was hoping she had a shipment coming in and could take a tour. LOL, as he finally says he actually is there to spy on her………for Mickey, who wants no surprises. She claims to have been born in Malta, her mother skipping out when she was little, the police thinking her father killed her mother, but she had a wonderful life with her father, traveling everywhere with him. Shawn leaves, Maya gets another call, evidently learning the bomb worked perfectly.

ON BOARD TONY’S YACHT, we get a replay of the captain bringing in the basket of fruit, Tony reading the card, slide over to John finding the bomb, slide over to Tony coming in, learning of the bomb, seeing it and yelling seconds as they all rush out. Outside shot of the boom boom as the yacht explodes. Now we see Tony in the dark, water to his shoulders, yelling for John, as he sees him face down. Tony pulls him upright, and then babbles about how he is NOT giving him mouth to mouth (ROTFLMAO), and tho he left him to die in the quicksand, John did save him from the bomb. He shakes him, finally squeezing him, John comes to, spitting water. (these scenes just struck me as funny) They try to figure how to get out, w/John asking layout of the passageway they are in. Tony tells him, John goes to scout. He is gone a while, Tony panics thinking John left him, but he returns, saying the doors are buckled, jammed, etc. They talk of only a limited amount of oxygen, and when it is used up…John is gonna make another run at trying to unjam a door, but Tony says it is his turn. John becomes alarmed when Tony is gone too long, goes under, pulls up a sputtering Tony. Seems Tonys trousers got caught and he could not get free. John now saved his life…..tells Tony guess they are even. They again again of the oxygen becoming scarce, how it would last longer with only one of them breathing it, they both laugh, but know they are in tough straits. Fade to black and white AS THE PREVIEWS SHOW

Bo and Hope stake out Club Echelon, Cassie seeks a job closer to her calling, Lucas' does a 180 in attitude after remembering what happened to Sami, Tony's yacht goes BOOM, Larry's gun goes BOOM as Brady takes an unexpected dip in the pool..

KIRIAKIS STABLES
Nicole’s still fending off Larry (whose testosterone is in overdrive). He’s anxious to kill Victor and conquer Nicole. He reminds her she promised him a long sexy night with him if he offed Victor. He gives her the hotel’s address on the interstate, just outside the city limits. He threatens her if she doesn’t show up he’ll make an anonymous call the Salem Police and tell them she did it.

SAMI vs LUCAS, ROUND TWO, DING
Lucas and Sami continue their argument…she writes CASSIE DUMPED YOU…and CASSIE’S NOT AS DUMB AS SHE LOOKS, LOL. Lucas’ temper flares and he takes her white board away and Sami looks scared, not having her “voice” as Lucas demands to know if she’s not having fun anymore. He’s in her face and tells her he only has made nice with her because of Will and she’s the worst mother. He rants about how she didn’t care if Will’s father started drinking again and how he almost died in the fire too. She’s listening to him almost in tears at this point. He accuses her of living for his destruction and calls her a bitch who didn’t care if he almost died. His biggest regret is that she’s Will’s mother and if he could make ONE wish to a genie, it would be that she not be Will’s mother (just where is the little child wonder while this is going on??). Lucas is upset Sami always gets to him and tells Sami he should have taken Will away and can’t believe he granted joint custody. Sami writes that WILL LOVES HER. Lucas figures it’s because her family covers for her and she’s no good. He threatens to tell Will about all the things Sami has done and he and Will can start their own I hate club. She goes at him with hands and fist. He remembers the last time she acted like that, the night she fell through the door (cue black and white flashback of the scene). He calms down and tells her to stop it, quit it and notices she’s bleeding a little from her bandage. He changes his tune and has her lie down on the couch. He doesn’t think she’ll have to go to the hospital and wants to check to see if she’s okay (awww, that’s more like it Lucas!!) Later, after putting a new bandage on her neck, he apologizes for what he said earlier. He agreed a dinner for the 3 of them would have been nice and says he’ll leave. He writes on the board something and gives it to her before saying good night. After he leaves she turns the board over and sees he wrote I’M SORRY.

CLUB ECHELON
Meanwhile, while this is going on just after she just left Sami’s, Cassie is already stalking her next prey at the men’s club (that girl must be a witch who can pop from place to place, she'd do Harry proud (I'm on page 610 of HP #5, sorry he's on my mind, ha!). She orders a Tequila Sunrise and the female bartender obliges. Cassie comments on the hostesses and asks if she would qualify for the job. (yeah, she’s still upset I can see!!) The manager walks in and the bartender tells Cassie he’s the one she has to “impress”. Cassie asks for clarification on that and is told if she has to ask what she means, it’s not the job for her. She finishes her drink as the bartender takes her hand and walks her to the night manager. He approves saying she’s pretty enough and got the body for it, but wants to see her in action. He asks her to pretend she’s a customer and make him happy. She acts and answers correctly. He asks if she’s got a criminal record (technically she’s only been arrested for solicitation, not convicted, so she’s not lying as she says no). The night manager falls for her, saying she’s a natural (no kidding!!) and gives her the job as she hugs him.

Bo and Hope arrive to see Tommy, the parking attendant, who’s drooling over Hope. Bo decides to stake out the outside of the club for Jesse. Hope figures she’ll go inside to look and assures Bo she can take care of herself. Later she’s paying off one of the hostesses to let her sit in “the box” (must have had the short wig and dress in the car).

Hope sits seductively on the box on stage and tells Bo (using her earpiece) she’s in position. He tells her Tommy just got word that Jesse’s on his way and hope she’s hiding where he won’t see her. She replies he’ll see her, but won’t know it’s her. The manager sees Tommy with Bo and tells him no talking on the job. Tommy’s quick wit makes you wonder why he’s parking cars…he tells him the day manager hired him an assistant so the clients are always attended to, etc.. The manager agrees, but refuses Tommy’s request for a raise as the economy sucks and men are staying home with their wives. Later, Hope turns off her microphone as the night manager asks what she’s doing there. She tells her Roxie asked her to cover for her and the night manager approves and leaves.

Bo alerts Hope that their SUV just pulled into the parking lot and he’s anxious to beat Jesse’s face in. Hope apparently can’t see Cassie and the night manager in front of her as she asks Bo for his status. He’s hiding behind a shrub as Jesse hands the keys to a “hot SUV” to Tommy. Jessie assures him he stripped all the ID from the car, even has the new car smell, but three other guys are available to take the car off his hands if Tommy doesn’t want it. Jesse walks in the club, looking like a punk compared to the other customers in dressy attire. Hope sees him approach and he winks at her. Maybe he did recognize her as later she leaves the box to look for Bo when he doesn’t answer. Tommy comes in and gives her Bo’s earpiece he found on the driveway.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Brady returns to Victor’s and comments on how quiet it is. Victor’s alone, reading the newspaper, saying it’s cook’s night off (poor thing doesn’t have a name, but she’s a noisy thing apparently). Brady clarifies he meant Nicole’s absence (what’s with the suit coat Brady? Most women in Salem are barely wearing blouses). He asks if everything’s okay with Vic and Nicole and is told it’s none of his business. (no one tells Belle that, but it must be hereditary from John to be nosey). Vic apologizes, saying it’s a sore subject. So..Brady continues his inquiry and suggests he end the marriage if he’s not happy. Victor’s strategy is the only person who can make you happy is yourself and Brady calls him Dr. Phil (ROFLMAO!!…yes, bring Dr. Phil as a guest star like on Frazier…many Salemites could use a Dr. Phil appointment!! Maybe have Marlena invite him for a charity counsel-a-thon and see him talk with different Salemites who are trying to help raise money for charity???)

Brady continues his counseling, suggesting solutions to make Vic and Nicole’s relationship better. Nicole arrives and says she was working on the surprise she has for Victor. Brady tries to leave and Nicole stops him, apologizing for making him uncomfortable. Nicole tells Victor her surprise is ready and she’s going up to slip into something more alluring and will meet him out by the pool in a little while. Victor tells her he’ll be there when he’s ready as Henderson arrives saying everything’s ready. Nicole slips upstairs. Brady asks Victor why he asked him to live there. Victor says it’s a big house and he wanted his company. Brady apologizes if he made him regret inviting him there to live there. Henderson reminds Victor about his conference call with Tokyo and Vic heads upstairs to take it. Brady asks Henderson if it’s okay for him to go out through the pool area to check on the recording studio and Henderson assures him it’s okay being Victor will be on his call.

We see Larry pointing the gun towards the pool area as Brady lurks there (being nosey again as he helps himself to a strawberry). Upstairs Nicole hears Victor on the phone (she’s now in red evening dress and hair up). She interrupts his call saying to rush down for his surprise. He put the call on hold and tells her he’s busy. The patio isn’t well lit and now we know why Brady’s in his black suit as he looks like Victor from afar. Nicole looks down and sees Brady by the pool and rushes down (why didn’t she CALL OUT TO HIM THROUGH THE WINDOW which would clue Larry??). She rushes down just after Larry shoots him in the back and Brady falls in the pool. She calls for Brady as we see blood in the water and him floating face down.

DIMERA YACHT
John peers through the crack in Tony’s door to see him eating dinner. He pulls the fire alarm which Tony reacts to and leaves his cabin. The crew tells Tony there’s no sign of a fire onboard. John goes into Tony’s cabin and pulls out the laser and examines it. He then goes through drawers in the cabin and helps himself to a banana. In doing so he notices the bomb in the fruit bowl and you can see his brain in gear as to what to do next. Looking at the countdown on the bomb, he says OH DAMN and runs into Tony and his goon at the door. Oops. Tony doesn’t believe John that there’s a bomb in the basket and orders Tony to check for himself. He does finally with seconds to spare….and yells they have to run….they run and BOOM..the HUGE yacht explodes…as previews for tomorrow run….

Hope’s driving, pulling her gun off the seat and in the air (glad I’m not driving next to her and seeing that!!), wishing she knew where Bo was.

Jesse holds Tommy around the neck and pointing a gun at Bo, who’s kneeling on the ground..…

Victor comes outside and finds a dripping Nicole kneeling over Brady after she pulled him out of the pool…she tells Victor to call someone….while Larry realizes he didn’t shoot Victor… In the water, Tony calls for John as he sees someone floating face down (but is it John? Ironic how both Brady and John are floating face down in the water at the same time)…

…as the credits roll…

HAPPY JULY 4TH TO ALL!!!

Summary: Cassie freaks out over Rex’s news…Brady hands over the loft to Belle…Larry and Nicole makes plans to “off” Victor…Roman and Kate argue over their children (Sami & Lucas, that is;-) HUGE thumbs-up to Ali Sweeney who turns in a knock-out performance…without uttering one word!

At the Pub…
Philip meets up with Belle and Shawn at the pub with Shawn demanding to know what is going on between him and Belle. Philip tries to dodge his questions, but Shawn persists. Belle tries to get him to back off, but he keeps on until Philip finally tells him that he is investigating Tony. He tries to explain that he is NOT dragging Belle along, but it is SHE who keeps following him and involving herself. She gets highly offended at their trying to tell her what to (and not to) do. LOL as Philip tells her that this is NOT Charlie’s Angels and she is definitely NOT Cameron Diaz! She is NOT amused and gets up to leave (I think she got a page from Brady). After she is gone, Philip tells Shawn to keep her away and for him to keep his eye on Maya.

Kate and Roman are outside the pub as discuss about how Lucas stood Sami up. Kate comments that Lucas hanging around with Cassie is even worse than Sami. They get into a discussion about their respective children (Sami and Lucas, that is) but decide to drop it. They go into the pub and Kate has a few moments to talk with Philip before they head to their table. Kate starts worrying about Lucas dating Cassie and says it will end in disaster for sure. Roman says that both of them need to stop worrying about their kids, but she starts in on Sami. Of course he defends Sami as Kate defends Lucas. This goes on for a while until Roman says that they need to put the subject off limits…unless either of them has something positive to say and Kate agrees and they shake on it.

At the No-Tell Motel…
Rex and Mimi burst in on Cassie and Lucas in the throes of passion as Mimi laments that they are too late. Rex goes ballistic and demands to talk to Cassie alone. Rex and Lucas get into an argument as Cassie steps in between to break it up. Mimi convinces Rex to wait outside while they dress. As they dress, Lucas complains about her over-protective brother. Rex and Mimi return as Rex wants to talk to Cassie. Lucas angrily leaves as Cassie fears that something is terribly wrong. Rex asks her to have a seat as Mimi excuses herself once again and waits outside. Cassie goes off on him and won’t let Rex get a word in edgewise…until he finally gets out that she just slept with her half-brother. Cassie is dumbstruck and refuses to believe him at first. He explains about the tests and she finally admits that they did NOT go all the way. He tells her that Mimi is the only other one who knows. (Cassie says that now the WHOLE WORLD will know;-) He brings Mimi inside (LOL at how she was standing outside with her fingers in her ears humming). Cassie is terribly upset and says that even though they didn’t…the got really close…and she can never put that out of her mind. Rex tells her that she can never tell anyone about it. Upset, she rushes off, saying she must deal with it on her own. But rex is worried that she will tell Lucas.

At the Loft…
Brady meets up with Belle at the loft (he was at Victor’s earlier…see below). They have a chat and he asks if she would like to live there now that he is staying at Victors. She is ecstatic over the idea and can’t wait to call Mimi. She says that she will need to discuss it with mom and dad, but he tells her that he already has and has softened them up. She can see that something is bothering him and they talk about Chloe’s leaving and how he misses her (fast forward time here ;-) He tells Belle to never let him fall in love again, but if he did it all over again with Chloe, he wouldn’t change a thing. Anyway, she invites Shawn and Philip and they head over to the loft. She tells them the good news, but Shawn isn’t too thrilled about her living alone there. He tries to explain that he is worried about her and only wants her safe. He finally half-heartedly says he is happy for her. After he gives her the grand tour, Brady leaves telling her if she needs anything to call him. Belle and Shawn kiss as Philip slips out as well.

At Sami’s Apartment…
A heartbroken Sami sits alone at the table and cries (where is Will?). She throws her dinner in the trash can and writes LUCAS on her white board then scribbles all over it as she falls on the sofa and cries. She finds a pen and paper and writes a note to him. Later, she hears him in the hallway (he found her note) and rushes to the door. She pulls him in the apartment and shows him the table, but he doesn’t understand. He reads the note and understands that she had fixed dinner for the 3 of them, but he didn’t show up. He says that he didn’t know, but she writes that Will was supposed to invite him (which Lucas claims he did not). He apologies for not coming and says that if he had known, he would have been there. He goes on to read the note, where she calls him a pig and says he has no morals. He starts in on her about being a liar and a manipulator and says if she had her way, she would be married to Austin and he would never have known that Will was his. She hits him with a pillow (wow Ali is rockin’ here!) She grabs her board and writes LIAR on it. As he protests, she writes CASSIE and that stops him in his tracks. Lucas feverishly tries to deny that anything is going on with Cassie, but right on cue, there is a knock at the door. He opens it to find Cassie there, telling him that she needs to tell him something. She tells him that what happened tonight can NEVER happen again and if it does, she will be sick. He asks her what is wrong but she tells him to just leave her alone and storms out (as he mumbles “psycho-bitch”). He turns to see Sami’s smirking that “gotcha” look on her face. He looks straight at her and tells her to go to hell.

At the Kiraikis Mansion…
In the barn, Larry plays with the gun, wondering where Nicole is with the ammo. She is in the house (where she was caught by Brady). Victor walks in demanding to know what is going on. Larry becomes inpatient and ventures out on his own, saying never to send a woman to do a man’s work. Victor and Brady question Nicole as she snaps at Brady that it is none of his business. Nicole makes up some excuse about the gardener and scurries out, leaving Brady and Victor discussing her strange behavior. Brady has somewhere to go and leaves as Nicole hurries back to the stables. She looks everywhere and finds Larry gone. He returns with a box of ammo, that he says he stole from some guy. He instructs her that she needs to lure Victor somewhere out in public where he can get a clear shot at him, but she says it will be impossible. Larry tells her that Victor has been the target of hitmen before and thinks it may work in his own backyard. Nicole seems to be having second thoughts about it all as Larry grabs her and pulls her in for a kiss. She pushes him away and says that he must wait until the deed is done. He points the gun and tells her that…. “Victor dies tonight”…as the previews roll…

On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

Lucas tells Sami that as a mother she sucks and if he had one wish it would be that she were not Will’s mother…as she attacks him…

Nicole tells Larry that she will entice Victor out into the pool area and he will have a clear shot as Larry says “Yes, Boss” and pulls her in for a kiss…

Larry (pointing the gun through the bushes): “Say goodnight, Victor” as we hear a gunshot…

FRIDAY, JULY 18TH, 2003

Summary: The Bicentennial Celebration continues at the park (with Rex, Mimi, Philip, Cassie, Roman and Kate) as Bo and Hope continue their romantic dinner on the rooftop. John, Marlena, Belle and Shawn picnic on Lookout Point as Belle's mouth runneth over about what happened, much to Marlena's dismay and finally...Larry misses again and Nicole and Brady chase him in Victor's limo.

LOOKOUT POINT
Belle and Shawn find a quiet place to exchange their gifts. She got him a Salem 200 t-shirt and he gave her a Salem 200 hat. She brings up Maya and he reassures her again there was nothing there. Belle notices a couple making out nearby and tells Shawn she hopes to be that romantic when older and John (in old geezer voice) kids back about who she’s calling OLD as he and Marlena are the ones making out. They invite Belle and Shawn to join them…Marlena even said she made a big picnic and asks them to share. John chuckles (LOL!!!) asking her if she “MADE” the picnic..and Marlena clarifies laughingly that she ORDERED it. They finally accept when they hear it’s to celebrate John’s safe return. They pour sparkling cider and Marlena’s plastic glass had a hole (accident or creative covering by the actors?) John sees it and tells her they’ll share a glass. John acknowledges Shawn’s catching of the perp. They talk about how he did it and Belle mentions Maya was hot for Shawn’s bod. Then Belle goes on about how scared she was when Maya’s goon had that gun on the ship. Marlena freaks and Belle goes oops, realizing she said too much. Marlena wants answers!! Thinking she’s helping, Belle said she was with a dependable “agent”. Marlena realizes John knew about this too and tells him it’s bad enough she has to worry about him 24/7, now he put their daughter at risk? John and Shawn keep referring to Belle as “inquisitive” (we called it NOSEY, haha). Marlena tells them they should have called Belle’s mother (yeah, right) and gets mad, not wanting to picnic anymore. John assures her it would have made matters worse had the ISA gotten involved on the ship and they handled it. Belle, never thinking first, rattles off about how John didn’t know about it until he had to bring her clothes on the pier being she didn’t have anything to wear (she had more then a bikini on). Belle explains what happened, not helping the situation any. Marlena asks Belle to promise no more spying and Belle agrees, although she did like the “rush”. Marlena asks to speak with John alone and Shawn gives Belle the 3rd degree about what she and Philip wore to swim to shore. Was she just wearing her bra and panties and what was Philip wearing?? Marlena and John realize they have to trust their daughter and let her be herself. John kids Belle will be grounded for the next 25 years if she tries to become the next female James Bond.

UP ON THE ROOF
Bo and Hope enjoy their candlelight dinner on the rooftop. He brings up the mystery stuff of Mayas much to her dismay. He makes a toast of wine to them and their next adventure. Later Hope’s cutting a chocolate cake (think it was partially frozen the way she’s cutting it) and Bo’s mind is wandering on the mystery goop. He asks what they know about Maya and Shane’s evaluation of the goop until Hope tells him she can’t take it anymore. She wanted a romantic picnic and wants the cellphone and paperwork put away. He realizes he’s blowing their romantic dinner and they return to their cake and kissing. Hope takes her cake (she’s loving it) to a bench as they cozy up and Bo tells her Mom outdid herself with it, wondering if she realizes what an aphrodisiac it is. Hope thinks so as Bo tells her how much she loves her.

IN THE PARK…
Philip and Cassie sit and chat about how Rex is both her friend and brother. She tells Philip she can listen to him and not be sensitive to what he says. He asks if she has any other secrets. He tells her it’s a good thing she at least knows who her real parents are and she chuckles about at least she’s not running around Salem in tin foil underwear anymore. Flashback of when Cassie saw Shawn for the first time (wearing a red belted shirt), in the garage with Belle teaching them to talk, when Cassie hit a tree and not the driveway, them in the Salem UFO sweatshirts (loved seeing Mimi in her Jeannie outfit again ;-). Philip tells Cassie she needs to learn to laugh at herself. Kate and Roman (the teen patrol) find Philip tickling Cassie and she asks Cassie if she couldn’t get Lucas, so she’s after her other son. She speaks to Philip alone and lectures him about how bad Cassie is and wants him to watch the fireworks with her and Roman (oh paleez, he’s not 13 years old Kate!). He refuses, saying Cassie’s a nice girl who’s not really like she pretends to be. Roman leads Kate away as Philip hopes Cassie didn’t let what Kate said hurt her. Cassie agrees Kate was right, he should be with someone else. He likes hanging out with her, despite was his mother said, and they hug.

Rex and Mimi smooch, despite his headache. He leans her back to kiss her neck and she notes Kate and Roman are there watching. Rex asks if they mind and Kate takes the hint and leaves as Roman takes her hand. Mimi criticizes Rex explaining that they’re Stefano’s innocent victims as Stefano played with their DNA just as he did with his. Kate chides Roman about eating a corndog. She refuses being she knows what they’re made of. He’s hard on Rex, she lists Cassie’s negative points. He tells her to let it go and offers her a bite of his corndog. Roman comments that something about Rex sets his teeth on edge. Kate can’t stop talking about Cassie all over her son as Roman tries to change the subject was letting go of her balloon and her tension. They finally kiss.

Mimi and Rex argue a bit and bring on another headache. She tries to massage it away and he insists he’s a Dimera, not a Brady and she better accept it. She asks OR WHAT?? He walks away and we see flashbacks of Mimi telling Belle and Shawn about how much she likes Rex, but doesn’t feel worthy of him. Shawn saying Rex needs someone to keep him grounded, Rex’s headache coming on when she told him he wasn’t a Dimera. She wonders what she’s gotten herself into.

Music montage plays during the fireworks of Rex and Mimi hugging, Kate and Roman hugging on a bench as Kate looks over at Philip and Cassie on the blanket watching the fireworks too. Belle and Shawn are lying on a blanket kissing and watching fireworks as John snuggles up to Marlena as they stand (backs to the Belle and Shawn) watching the fireworks.

BLUE NOTE
A replay of Brady yelling for Victor to get down as he races over and pulls him to the ground. The gunshot goes off and both fall to the ground..but was either hit? Nope. Nicole shakes her head at Larry and he takes off. Brady goes to go after “the bastard”, with Nicole trying to stop him. Larry carjacks a car at the Blue Notes Valet Stand and the owners rush around asking for Brady’s help. He realized it was the gunman and hops into granddad’s limo to follow (I would have asked the couple for their car’s description maybe and tell them to call 911 for an APB on their car). Nicole hops in the limo with him. Later Abe’s at the Blue Note (only cop on duty apparently) and puts out an APB on the couple’s car. Larry realizes Brady and Nicole are following him (great night vision) as Brady and Larry both challenge each other out loud. Larry said if he’s going, so is Nicole. Abe tells Victor they followed the bullet’s trajectory and he was aiming at Victor. Back to the chase, Larry is driving recklessly and crashes the car…as previews for tomorrow roll…

Brady comments the car burst into flames and no one could have survived….Nicole hopes that’s true…

Tony gives Sami a pair of diamond teardrop earrings..assuring her they won’t bite her..

In a bar somewhere, Lucas tells Maggie that everyone knows he hates Sami…Maggie doesn’t believe him. We then seeing him throwing a glass at the wall in rage…

Hope tells Bo that they’re a team and he tells her they are a team. She tells him he’s not doing this without her…

As the credits roll…

THURSDAY, JULY 17TH, 2003

Summary: The Bicentennial Celebration continues at the park (with Rex, Mimi, Philip and Cassie) as Bo and Hope join in from a different location…as Nicole and Larry await Victor’s arrival at the Blue Note for a different type of fireworks.

At the Brady House…
Bo and Zack are playing with his Legos as Hope comes in. It seems that she had been at a meeting at the hospital for the Horton Foundation. They joke around a while and she decides to call Shane about the Leona case. After she gets off the phone, she informs Bo that the ISA don’t have anything yet on the “goop”. Bo comments that they need a better name for it, so they toss around ideas. They figure that since Maya is involved in antiquities and diamonds, that the stuff must somehow be related to carbon, a possible common denominator. Later, they talk about how wonderful it is spending time together and working together and then go back to discussing the case. Bo suggests that they “rest up” and recharge their batteries as they snuggle on the sofa. Later, he announces that he has a sitter for Zack and has a surprise for her as he carries her to the door. Later, we see them somewhere (he is leading her with closed eyes) and she figures out that they are on the rooftop of the hospital…to watch the fireworks. He leads her to a small table complete with candles and champagne and they kiss. Later, he wishes Salem a happy birthday as they toast their lives. Hope talks about how they sailed around all over the world and still always came back to Salem. As they watch the sky for the fireworks, they wonder what it will be like in another 200 years.

At the Park…
Cassie is sitting alone on a blanket as Philip wanders up and asks what is in her back-pack. She is extremely rude to him at first as she whines about Tony selling Echelon and her losing her job. Philip tries to cheer her up but she just goes on with her little pitty party, saying that HE is Belle’s friend and that Belle hates HER so just go away. She asks if he wants to know what she was hiding and pulls out a stuffed rabbit (Roger). She talks about when she and Rex were little and all the rabbits that used to be around the lab and how the rabbits would come and go, but she and Rex were always there. She talks about living your life in a cage like she and Rex did.

Meanwhile, Mimi sits alone and cries, having flashbacks of Rex giving her the diamond and one of his recent fits. He comes rushing up, looking for her as she says that she can’t take this anymore, he doesn’t need or respect her. He tries to explain that there is something wrong with him and tries to explain, saying that he cannot lose her and will do whatever she wants. She says that she worries about him and his strange behavior and mood swings. He says that he just wants to believe that his life has a purpose and wants to find out what it is. She tries to console him, saying that everyone is searching for their purpose in life. He goes on to talk about how much he needs her and respects her and would never hurt her. Finally, he asks her to go roller-blading with him. Remembering that last time they had a dead body with them, she accepts.

Rex and Mimi roll up to find Philip and Cassie talking. This really bothers Rex, who asks to speak to Cassie alone. He jumps her for flirting with Philip, which she denies, saying it is all innocent and that they were just talking. Mimi also grills Philip about being with Cassie, which he also claims that there was nothing going on. When Rex and Cassie come over, Mimi invites them to go blading with them, which both decline. After they leave, Cassie tells Philip that he doesn’t need to baby-sit her. She asks if he thinks she is a hopeless case as he comforts and reassures her. She gets insulted when he insinuates that she is bitchy. She pouts and says that she should dye her hair blonde like Belle. She asks if he wishes it were Belle sitting there as he claims that Belle is only a friend. He says that he feels that Cassie wants to really be friends with Belle, but she just doesn’t know how. She goes on to talk about his family and says that since they have no romantic interest in each other, he can think of her as a sister (LOL!) if he wants. Meanwhile, Rex and Mimi are discussing Cassie and Philip. He is really upset and almost falls. With that, he loses his temper and this distresses Mimi. She says that she worries about him being so stressed all the time and suggests that he seek medical help. She tries to give him the diamond back as he beats himself up, saying he is just a freak. But she rationalizes with him and says that whatever is wrong with him, she doesn’t blame him for it. He promises to take her advice and take care of himself. Later, as they settle in for the fireworks, she tells him that last time she saw them was when he and Cassie came to town. He tells her that he has been seeing them ever since (ahhh). He puts the diamond necklace back on her and they kiss.

At the Blue Note…
Victor is in his car on the way there and they seem to be having trouble with traffic. Meanwhile, Nicole and Brady are making final preparations for the big evening. (Funny side note: She has a table reserved for Victor and says that she doesn’t care if Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt come in, THAT table is for Victor. For those of you that don’t know, Jennifer is John Aniston (Victor)’s real-life daughter). Larry is outside with the gun as Nicole sneaks out to talk with him. He asks if she wants it slow or quick. She says make it quick and clean. Brady walks out and catches her as she claims that she just needed some fresh air but he notices that she is extremely nervous. After he goes back inside, Larry accuses her of “doing” Brady, which she denies. She goes back inside and helps herself to a drink and worries. In the car, Victor orders the driver to call and have lilies delivered to Nicole. He wants to make sure that she remembers this night for a long time. Later, Brady comes in with the lilies for Nicole and she freaks out, saying tha the is messing with her head. Brady notices that something seems to be wrong with her and that she is a bundle of nerves. Nicole gets a call from Victor, telling her that they are pulling in the parking lot right now. He asks if she got the flowers and she asks why he sent them. He says “just because” leaving her totally confused. After she hangs up, she rushes outside and sees them pulling in. She spots Larry in the bushes as Victor is getting out of the car (Brady spots Larry as well). Nicole yells “NO” as Brady rushes to Victor and tackles him, just as the gun fires…and the previews roll…

On the Next Days of Our Lives…

Mimi asks Rex if he HAD to be so rude…after all they’re his parents…

Roman tells Kate that there is just something about that boy that sets his teeth on edge…

Bo tells Hope that he has been thinking about that mysterious substance. She tells him to stop right there…she can’t take it anymore…

Brady yells for Victor to get down as he rushes over and jumps him. The gun fires as we see (what looks like) Brady lying on the ground…

And the credits roll…

WEDNESDAY, JULY 16, 2003

Our friends are gathering in the park as Salem celebrates it’s bi-centennial, while Belle’s insecurities come to the forefront, & both Sami &Lucas feel the heat, and it’s not the weather. LOL

ON THE PIER, Shawn is throwing baseballs again, as Uncle Roman comes up, wondering if he is planning on beaning another bad guy (remember how he got the mayor?). They chat a bit about Belle, with Roman getting the impression things aren’t going all that well, as Shawn complains of her spending time with another guy. Roman tries to get Shawn to tell how he got wise to Maya, and ended up catching her, & why he did not call the police…..and Shawn successfully wiggles out of telling about Philip being in the ISA etc. Roman leaves, & Shawn calls Belle to meet him at the bandstand in the park.

IN HER APARTMENT, Sami is primping for her date w/Tony, as Lucas tries to dissuade her. They argue……well, Lucas yells, and Sami reacts with expressions and some mouthing of words (Alison Sweeney is just outstanding once more – applause!). Lucas says something about when she gets her voice back, she will revert to the shrew she has always been, and tells her most guys would call this a pity date…..and then says ..and frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn……as he slams out the door. Sami is in tears, when there is a knock at the door, and Lucas softly apologizes. She opens the door, and he again apologizes, saying he cannot help himself, he loves her, always has, he knows she loves him, as he can see it in her eyes. Sami is melting here (so are we), as she stands mute, and he bends to kiss her. She touches his face, and they really embrace. This is the half/way point in the show, where the hourglass shows up. We return to them still kissing, & Sami reaches up to touch his face, the camera backs away……and she is standing alone. ……WHAT A GYP! LOLOL….But great scene.
The phone rings, it is Tony, who knows she cannot talk, but says he will pick her up in an hour, and to dress casual. She quickly changes clothes, and is ready when Tony arrives, offering his arm to her as they go out the door.

AT DIMANSION
Victor is leaning on the doorbell, very angry. He wants to know what is going on between Maya & Tony besides stolen diamonds, complains of Tony doublecrossing him. Tony says Maya doublecrossed him, too, tells how he is a changed man, and wants no business dealings he could not share with his children. Asks how Vic manages his relationship with Bo. Vic says with respect, even tho they do not always see eye to eye.
Later, Vic is gone, but Lucas is there, learning of Tony selling Echelon and why. (he sure is telling anyone and everyone in sight about his “changed man” status – makes you wonder) He asks if Lucas knew Cassie had the job at Echelon, and Lucas wiggles out of that one. Tony tells him since he will no longer have duties at Echelon, he will have time to oversee some other of Tony’s interests (hmmm, thought he was just hired as Echelon manager, not Tony’s personal asst…..confusing) Lucas says he will try & see if he can learn anything more about Maya. Tony calls Monsieur Henri to make sure all is in order for his special dinner for two.

IN THE PARK
Red, white & blue balloons are everywhere, along with banners proclaiming Salem’s 200th birthday. People are milling around as Kate runs into Philip,who claims to be there with friends from the base. (this guy NEVER is in uniform…..amazing!) Kate chats for a bit with her son, mostly wondering about a gal in his life, which he denies. She thinks he is sweet on Belle, which he denies, but Kate persists. He reminds her of how she thought Billie was perfect for Bo & the trouble she caused for Bo, but Kate is quick to remind him they have never held that against her. Roman arrives, Philip leaves, and Kate worries about her son as she watches the3 Musketeers chatting. She agrees w/Roman to forget about them and just have a good time.

Nicole is wandering around, gets a “pssst” from the bushes, and finds Larry munching on a hot dog. He yaks it up about blowing away Vic tonite, wanting to make sure she gets him to where he belongs. He pulls Nik in for a kiss, & she is clearly not happy about it. He makes a few threats, kisses her again, & finally takes off. Nicole wipes her mouth, saying she’d rather be dead than have to kiss Larry again. (yes, Nik, when you lie down in garbage, you cannot help but get up with maggots! LOL)

Belle catches sight of Philip, claiming to be unable to find Shawn (hey Belle…..he said to meet him at the bandstand…..why aren’t you THERE?) She moans a bit to Philip about Maya being so beautiful, & Shawn getting sucked into her charms (Oh, GMAB!) & wonders about her ability to hold onto Shawn, wondering whether perhaps her thoughts on waiting may be too much, since there will be other older and more experienced women who find Shawn attractive. Philip gives her a pep talk about them loving each other, and she herself is beautiful. Belle smiles and thanks him, giving him a hug, and right on cue Shawn walks up, wondering why he cannot leave those two alone for a second.

Lucas meets up with Mickey, and starts asking questions about Maya. Mickey says the civil suit was dropped when she got arrested, and when asked if he is representing her in her criminal case, gently chastises Lucas for using his family to get info for his boss. Lucas gets defensive about working for Tony, but Mickey reminds him that Aunt Maggie is his AA sponsor, has called him several times, and Lucas has not responded. Lucas promises to call, & Mickey invites him & Will for dinner sometime. They hug, and Mickey reminds him he loves him.

Lucas spots Tony & Sami arriving, to find a lovely picnic dinner, complete w/champagne, spread on the ground. As Sami & Tony sit down, with Tony toasting to Sami's continued happiness, Lucas’s imagination runs away with him, & he envisions himself passionately kissing Sami & both rolling around a bit on the blanket. LOL. Lucas shakes himself out of his fantasy, saying “I need a drink”.

AT THE BLUE NOTE
Earlier, Belle is talking to Brady about competing with other women for Shawn’s attention. The gal is on a pity party route today. Brady reassures her, they have some nice bro/sis conversation, and talk of the big night coming up.Belle asks him why he doesn’t sing, but Brady says he doesn’t want to turn his customers away. LOL. Shawn calls her (see above) and she leaves as a very distracted Nicole arrives. Nik orders a double vodka…….Brady tells the bartender to make that two, add orange juice…and leave out the vodka. He tells a protesting Nicole that he needs a sober Nicole tonight. They argue a bit about her, her marriage to Victor, etc. and she worries that Victor won’t come, and Brady says so what. Her phone rings, and she answers to a neighing Larry. (he cracks me up, truly). He wants to make sure all is set, she nervously tells him that Victor is not there yet, Brady wonders who it is. She makes some excuse about a friend of Victors, when the Blue Note phone rings. Larry is making horse noises on the phone, (does this guy want to get caught or what?) making Nicole all the more upset. Brady says that was Victor on the phone, he is on his way. Larry hears, Nik hangs up. Brady tells her the rundown of performers tonight will just blow Victor away….and Nicole smiles as she replies, Yeah, you bet it will. AND THE PREVIEWS SHOW……..

Mimi to Rex….I can’t be around you, as much as I love you, I can’t

Cassie to Phil…..A question…..the whole time you’re sitting here with me, you are wishing it was Belle, right?

Bo looks at the sky, lit up with fireworks, saying “happy birthday, Salem” and then to Hope, I love you as she also says “I love you”

Victor’s voice is saying ……this night will stay in my wife’s memory for a very long time, as we see an infra red scope targeting Victor’s head, with a gun zeroing in on him. Then a shot of Nicole standing, crying out “Nooooooo” as we hear the sound of a gunshot…..And the credits roll

Nicole nervously spills her juice as Victor announces he’s hiring a top detective to investigate Brady’s shooting the night before. Henderson helps clean up as she notices Larry (in chauffeur garb) beaconing her from the shrubs. He tells her out front that the deal’s still on. She tells him about her part time gig at the Blue Note and he insists she have Victor go there and he’ll kill him there. Victor steps outside to ask what she’s up to now just after Larry dashes into the shrubs. Nicole tells him she was talking to the gardener’s assistant about trimming the hedges. After verbally dancing about the guys name, Brady walks out saying it’s about 96 in the shade already, why are they outside? He’s heading to the Blue Note to set up for the nights show and she takes the opportunity to go inside to change, saying she’ll be down to the club shortly.

BRADY PUB
Marlena squeals with joy and jumps in John’s arms when she finally sees meets him at the pub. He apologizes for taking so long, but the ISA made him question people before he could see her or the kids (does Brady even KNOW about it?). He tells her the feud with the Dimeras is finally over. She finds it hard to believe. She asks what Tony was doing and being it wasn’t illegal, he’s not going to push it and will let it go.

Philip and Cassie meet at the pub. He had left a message for her to meet him there and hands her the compact she dropped at the cop shop the night before. She didn’t get the message (just knows there will always be someone there she can torment I guess) as she rattles on about her new job at Echelon and how it makes her feel more sure of herself then ever as the guys fall all over her there. He tells her if that’s what it takes to do it, she’s more screwed up then he thought. He tries to rationalize with her (good luck) about how he himself tried to find himself, knowing his rich father would always be there to bail him out. Going into the marines was the only thing that worked. Calling her a rich spoiled brat, she tells him to go ahead as she’s not giving up her job or being a Dimera.

Cassie goes inside the pub and even apologizes as she interrupts Marlena and John talking. She tells John she’s glad both he and her dad are okay. He’s touched and Cassie asks (almost breaking down) to speak with Marlena. John takes the cue and stops outside. Marlena asks what’s up. Cassie asks why Marlena never sees her any more and never asks her over for dinner (don’t worry, she never cooks for Belle, Brady or John either, haha). Marlena said she’d love to have her and Rex over for supper (uh oh). Marlena explains she’s left messages many times and all Cassie had to do is answer the call. Starting to cry, she tells her mother, the psychiatrist, she needs reassurance that she’s wanted. Marlena apologizes, thinking it was Cassie’s choice to back off due to the turmoil with John and Tony. She tells Cassie that she failed her and asks what she can do to help. Cassie asks her to talk to Tony for her and tell him she’s an adult and can make her own decisions. Marlena asks if there’s a reason for Tony’s questioning that. Cassie (knowing Marlena’s not really her mother) has the audacity to tell Marlena she just pretends to care about her (the little alien girl), but she’s too busy with her other family and job to really do so. Hurt and insulted, Marlena explains that’s not so and wants Cassie to talk to her about how she feels. Cassie’s pity party hits the road (oh please, just get mad and leave Salem so WE don’t have to listen to you any more!). John and Marlena watch her leave as Philip asks Cassie if she told her mother, Marlena, about Echelon. Cassie tells him she’s not her mother. She quickly covers about how Marlena wasn’t there when she was growing up. Philip had and says Marlena’s a good mother.

Inside Marlena rationalizes to John about not going after Cassie. They’re both too emotional. She tells John what happened. She really wants to help her as John plays devils advocate about the situation. He suggests they do something special that night and reassures her that she and Cassie will be ok.

While Cassie was talking to Marlena, John and Philip talked loudly inside the pub (sure, right) about John’s dropping the investigation as he blasts Philip about how it was handled. He insists Philip leave his daughter out of the spy business IF Philip is still in it himself after what happened.

SAMI’S APARTMENT
We see Sami in bed under the covers and Lucas asleep (fully clothed) on top of it as well. Sami wakes from a dream where she and Lucas are together and he tells her he loves her. She tells him he’s the only one who’s ever understood her and asks him to make love to her. She awakens, finding him with his arm wrapped around her now and jolts him awake, silently questioning what happened. He explains about her meds knocking her out and putting her to bed, reminding her it’s good Will’s not there or he’d be confused…which causes her to push him out of bed on the floor, LOL. Ding dong. It’s Tony, asking if he interrupted something as she and Lucas greet him at the door (rumpled, but dressed). Lucas explains he was making sure Sami got up okay after the meds she’s taking. Sami writes on her board asking Tony if he’s ok. Tony explains his new perspective on life after almost drowning. Flowers are delivered and Sami looks at Lucas to see if they’re from him. Tony says they’re from him. He arranged to have fresh flowers delivered to her every day during her recuperation. He had made the arrangements before he left and how his last thoughts were of her. He goes on about Sami’s virtues as Lucas lurks listening. Tony wants to talk about Sami’s future. In the hall Lucas and Tony have words. He tells Tony he’s concerned about Sami now as she’s vulnerable. Tony accuses him of being jealous and leaves. He returns and tells Sami she’s making a huge mistake. He tells her she can’t have dinner with Tony, saying she’s not healthy enough yet. He calmly tells her he’s worried as he doesn’t want Tony to hurt her again. Later she comes out of her room in a black scarfy style dress. Lucas can’t believe she’s going (has he been hanging around there all day? haha)…

BLUE NOTE
Nicole walks in overhearing Brady on the phone selling how wonderful the club is to someone. She tells him he’ll impress Chloe by the changes he’s making. She comments on getting Victor interested now. Talking about the big event planned for that night (including fireworks), Brady leaves to check on something as Nicole remembers Larry’s conversation about killing Victor. She calls Victor and eventually talks him into coming to the event saying Brady’s having his mother’s favorite song played in her honor and how much it would mean to have Victor there. She calls Larry to tell him about it. Brady returns asking who she as talking to. She tells him she was just making sure the night was unforgettable.

BACK TO DIMANSION
Bart has Tony sign some papers. Cassie returns and learns Tony sold Echelon with one of the conditions she’s not to work there anymore. (that was a fast sale) Cassie tells him she hates him and tells him he can’t play God with her life. She storms out saying she doesn’t need a father like him (that’s it, keep going girl).

Cassie’s back at the pub again (must be like a magnet to her) and runs into Brad out front. She tells him it’s not a good time and leaves as Philip tells Brad to leave Cassie alone.

Tony makes sure Bart has arranged a gourmet dinner with champagne, etc. He wants to make sure it’s an unforgettable evening for Samantha, as he thinks of her and lightning bolts on the screen between their faces…as the previews roll…

Larry asks if everything’s ready for him to whack her hubby…

Kate and Philip are sitting in the park as she figures there is a woman in Philip’s life, Belle Black???

Lucas tells Sami she’s hot ..he wants her and he loves her…which surprises her…

Sitting on the ground sipping champagne, Tony tells Sami she’s lovely and hopes she’ll always be as happy as she is now..

As the credits roll..

Summary: Jack and Jenn are on and ‘In the House’ (yawn)…Cassie and Tony argue over her new job…John and Philip grill Maya, but come up empty…Bo and Hope decide to do some investigative work.

In the House…
Jack and Jennifer are ready to start their show as Jack is furious over the guest star that Shmenkman has booked, a sex therapist, Emily Coop, who is on the show to plug her new book. The show starts and as she is introduced, Jack is nasty to her from the get-go. He says that it looks like HE needs a sex therapist from his attitude and goes on to analyze him, which infuriates him. Sarcastically, he says that whenever HE is in the mood, Jennifer has a headache, WHAT is he doing wrong (as he gets an ‘I can’t believe you said that’ look from Jenn.) Emily pulls out 2 dolls (that look amazingly like Jack and Jenn) to do some role playing. Jenn is offended but Jack pretends like he wants to play along. He says that ‘little Jack’ has something to say and calls her a phoney. He says that he researched her background and learned that she didn’t even finish college and practically toss her out on her butt. After the show, Jack is upset and doubting himself, asking what has happened to his career, as Jenn tries to console him. Later, they are on the sofa, basking in the after glow (what happened to the show crew?) professing their love for one another.

At DiMansion…
Mimi wakes up in bed with Rex and they start kissing. He is hit with a strong headache (is this some kind of forewarning?). He says that it feels like it is exploding as Mimi gets a wet cloth for his head. Her prattling on makes it worse, so she leaves and he asks himself WHAT is wrong with him. Downstairs, Cassie welcomes Tony home, upset that he almost died. He asks what is going on with her and she tells him of her new job as the hostess at Echelon. Well, he blows a gasket, telling her she MUST quit. She doesn’t understand why he is so upset, since he owns the club. (Is she really that naïve?) She calls it the ‘family business’ and wants to work there. Upset, she tells him that she has to go to the police station (in regards to her solicitation charges) and Tony quips that he is just SO proud of her (LOL). Mimi comes down, looking for aspirin as Cassie storms out the door. Rex comes down as Mimi is leaving and begs her to stay. He says that he needs her. She offers to take him to the doctor, but he declines. She decides to stay and go upstairs and take a shower. After she leaves, Tony and Rex talk alone and Tony tells him about his laser being destroyed. Tony tells him that his plans have changed and that now he is focused on getting the ‘bitch’ that tried to kill him. Rex contemplates just how dangerous life is as Tony tells him that the good news is that he and John have decided to bury the hatchet.

Mimi is taking a shower and is joined by Rex. She asks about his headache and he asks ‘what headache?’ and they kiss in a steamy scene. Mimi drops the soap and says “oops” and they kiss. Later, Rex is looking for his laser blue prints as he has flash backs of first telling Tony of his invention and how Tony was so proud of him and then telling Cassie that they will always be DiMeras. He has a raging fit and begins to tear up the blueprints as Mimi walks in and sees him, asking what is wrong.

At the Cop Shop (or ISA Headquarters)…
Philip is busy questioning Maya but she has other plans as she begins to come on to him. He offers her a deal, but she says she will do something for him if he will do something for her…like in let her go. She needles him about Belle (hitting a sore spot) as he changes the subject back to Tony. She grabs him and kisses him…just as John walks in. Philip gets her paws off him as John volunteers to take over. John tells her that Tony survived but she wants a lawyer…and NOT Mickey Horton (snicker, snicker). John tells her that HE was also on the boat and is taking this personally. He brings up the diamonds but she clams up. They also bring up the mysterious substance that Philip found and that they are having it analyzed. She gulps hard, asking for her lawyer as John asks her if it is getting hot in here. John and Philip talk outside and John decides that he doesn’t want Philip alone with Maya and instructs him to go and file the paperwork…and do it with a smile. He tells him to meet him later at the pub. After John leaves, Philip runs into Cassie (literally) and she drops her purse. He helps her and then rags her about being the only guy she doesn’t flirt with (what Philip doesn’t know is that, through Kate, he is her half brother! Poor Cassie…she seems to be related to every young eligible guy in town…what’s a girl to do? ;-) (Couldn’t you just hear that conversation?…sorry, Philip, I can’t have sex with you…you are my brother…been there…ALMOST done that!…LOL) She cries and says that he just thinks that she is a slut, like everyone else in Salem. He apologizes, but she doesn’t want to talk about it and rushes off. After she is gone, he finds (what looks like) her compact on the floor.

Later, Back at DiMansion…
Cassie returns home to find Tony waiting on her. He asks her how it went and says that he should have gone with her. They start up arguing again about her job and she refuses to quit. He blames himself for her behavior, saying that she and Rex are the most importing things in life to him. She says she will NOT quit and he blows up over her belligerent behavior, so she storms off.

At the Brady Pub…
Bo, Hope and Zak are enjoying breakfast and joking around (cute) as Bo reads the article in the paper about Shawn’s involvement in bringing in Maya. Shawn and Belle arrive outside and he tells her about how he got Maya to go with him by kissing her. Belle isn’t too thrilled, but he explains it meant nothing and kisses her. (ROFL at Belle’s outfit…she has on a pink t-shirt that says “Saved by the Bell”…no joking! And is carrying a lunchbox as a purse.) They head into the pub as Hope rushes over to hug Shawn and call him her hero. Bo and Hope want to hear the whole story as Belle jumps in and gives the abridged version. Bo and Hope also talk about their ordeal as Hope comments on being in the chop shop and the carbon monoxide gas reminding her of when Larry gassed them. Later, Belle and Shawn have explained it all and Bo thinks that there is more to the story besides diamond smuggling. Belle tells them about the “weird goopy stuff” that the found in the vial. John shows up as Belle rushes to hug him. John congratulates Shawn on his help on apprehending Maya. Philip shows up as well. Bo brings up the fact that maybe Shawn should join them in bounty hunting (as Hope kicks him under the table). John pulls Philip aside and they argue over Philip involving Belle and Shawn in an ISA matter. He informs him that he doesn’t think that he is cut out for the ISA. Philip vows not to give up, but John says that he will have to prove himself. Belle sees them talking and after John leaves, she asks Philip if he is okay. She and Shawn are leaving and invite Philip along, but he declines so they leave. Philip reaches in his pocket and pulls out Cassie’s compact and gives her a call, telling her that he has something of hers and to meet him at the pub. Bo and Hope continue to talk about the “goopy substance” as Bo wants to investigate it further. She says that if the ISA doesn’t know what it is, what makes him think that THEY can find out. He says “because we are GOOD”. With a kiss, they decide to forge ahead and investigate it…as the previews roll.

On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

Cassie and Tony are at it once again, arguing. She tells him that he can’t play God with her life and goes on to say that she hates him…

Philip asks John why he is dropping the investigation against Tony…

Lucas tells Sami that she is making a huge mistake…

Larry shows up at the mansion as Nicole asks what he is doing there. He says that he is not letting her out of their deal…Victor is a dead man.

And the credits roll…

Summary: Sami gets her voice back but Maya's goon gets to Tony, Nicole an Brady have a talk, Lucas thinks he's lost Sami to Tony and Cassie gets a bunny.

BRADY PUB
Cassie walks fast through the pub and accidentally kicks and trips over Kate’s briefcase that she had just put on the floor. She proceeds to yell about why Kate doesn’t keep her junk off the floor so people can walk safely. Kate tells her it is a Leonardo hand tooled leather briefcase and Cassie calls her a pretentious bitch under her breath and walks out. She joins Philip outside the pub as Kate watches from inside. Roman joins Kate and she tells him what happened, wishing the twins went back to where they belong. Mimi comes in and bends down to adjust her shoe. She overhears Kate and Roman trashing Rex and Cassie and pops up..telling them they wouldn’t talk that way if they knew the truth. Of course they ask her what she means. She apologizes for eavesdropping as Roman wants to know what she meant. Mimi covers by saying that Rex is secretly Roman’s biggest fan, following all of his cases. Roman stops her, knowing that’s a lie. She agrees Rex has his bad days and splits. Roman gets a call about a stabbing at the hospital and Kate decides to join him.

Outside Philip surprises Cassie with a live bunny. He figured if she had something alive to take care of might be good for her. He’s worried about what her dad might think and she takes out the floppy eared cutie and loves it, not caring if “Tony” likes it or not. She names him Whiskers and tells it they’re going to be best friends. Philip questions why she and Rex aren’t closer. She tells him Rex is more of the genius persona than she. He inquires about it and gets her to tell him about Rex’s creating something, but he pushes too hard and she takes Whiskers and splits. Mimi joins him with her lunch take out and he suggests they go back inside and eat (no left over junk food for Mimi for breakfast!). We find them at a table with her burger and fries (that only he nibbles on) which sit nicely on a plate now. He lets her rattle on about Rex’s genius creative side (guess she forgot about accusing him of spying of the Dimera’s the day before?). She tells him Rex has blueprints and computer print outs all over the place, but doesn’t know what it’s for. She tells him Rex is a good guy when Philip is concerned for her safety. He disagrees, thinking Rex is bad news. Mimi changes the subject, accusing him of still having the hots for Belle. He realizes that’s futile, but she says sometimes we can’t choose who we fall in love with.

DIMANSION
Rex returns from a shower after exercising. He tells his recorder it didn’t help relax him as hoped. He remembers his argument with Mimi and doesn’t understand what his mood swings are all about. Anxiety/Paranoia because Tony’s not his father? He’s afraid to research what his condition mgh be, not knowing what he’ll find. Worried it might be genetic, he realizes he has to talk to Kate and Roman. Cassie joins him and finds him digging into medical books as he tries to figure out what the headaches are from. He asks her to get closer to Philip to find out about their heritage. He asks her to get a strand of Philip’s hair for his dna pool and she agrees.

HOSPITAL
Bossy nurse gives Maya’s goon some films to take to radiology just as he was approaching Tony. Not wanting to be too obvious, he agrees. Lucas questions Tony’s feelings about his feelings for Sami. Sami sees them, and the goons quick return and him holding the scalpel he stole from the nurses tray. She tries to call Lucas’ name, then Tony’s as she watches the goon approach them. Tony apparently hears her and turns in time for the goon to slash him with the knife. He looks up at him in surprise, grabs his bleeding chest and collapses. Lucas tackles the goon as Sami watches (all the rest of the hospital staff just watch) and as soon as he knocks the guy out, Sami rushes to Tony’s side. Later the nurses are sopping up Tony’s blood (check out the pile of towels behind his head, LOL…why don’t they guerney him to ER??) as Sami and Lucas watch. Lexie rushes in and takes over, ordering them to cross match his rare blood for transfusion. Sami is silently crying as Lucas takes her in his arms to comfort her. Later they finally wheel Tony away as Kate and Roman rush in. He had heard that Lucas was the one to capture the goon. Lucas denies it as Sami confirms to Roman that Lucas did do it. Lucas tells them Sami saw what was going on and called out to Tony. Roman looks at her and she softly says YES. She softly croaks out what she saw and Roman orders her to wait for the specialist that Lucas had just paged to reexamine her throat. She assures Lucas she’s okay and slips out. Kate excuses herself to return to work after a moment with Lucas as Roman gets to work himself. Lucas asks Lexie (now in scrubs…she back on staff?) about Tony. She tells him Dr. James is operating on him and he’s the best (being Mike and Craig aren’t there) there is. Sami overhears Lexie tell a nurse that Sami might have done more harm then good by calling out to Tony. The knife wouldn’t have injured Tony as severly in the back. Sami’s specialist joins her and overhears her talking to herself. He’s happy for her. He tells her not to overdo it and she should be fine.

Kate lectures Lucas about working for Tony, saying it’s too dangerous. He thinks Tony needs him more then ever now.

Sami and the specialist leave the curtained examine area and Lucas overheard the good news. He comments on her warning Tony with her first words (she called Lucas’ name first if you’ll note on today’s show). She remembers the doctor saying it might be something important to make her speak and how she called Lucas’ name first. Lucas tells her how he respects Tony, yada yada and hopes he pulls through and leaves.

BACK TO DIMANSION
Mimi comes to see Rex and he apologizes for what happened. She tells him he has to find out what’s causing these mood swings. He shows her books he’s been reading on it, but she’s worried analyzing it won’t stop them. He tells her she means more to him then anything else. She warns him that Philip thinks he’s up to something bad. Rex tells her he loves her and shushs her concern by kissing her.

BACK TO THE PUB
Cassie returns, finding Philip still lurking at the pub.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Kiriakis targeted in Blue Note Shooting..is the headline as Nicole glances at the newspaper. Victor joins her and she reminds him they had a “truce” she thought. He said after someone tried to shoot him he doesn’t trust anyone again. Brady slowly approaches and overhears her asking if Victor would trust anyone who made a deal with the deal. He taunts her about losing the role of widow being Larry failed. Brady enters, intentionally interrupting, saying Roman hadn’t found out any more about what happened (yeah, he’s too busy eating at the pub, ha!). He asks Nicole why Victor would want to stay married to her as it’s obvious they’re both miserable. She tells him most couples aren’t happy all the time, but he doesn’t buy this. They argue about it’s none of his business. He asks if she ever loved his grandfather and she breaks down, saying she never got the hang of love and not capable of that. He questions that as she pours a drink (starts early, huh?) She tells him her life has been ugly and he wants to know why. She tells him about her father and he treated her better then her mother and brother. She starts to tell him about what her father forced her to do, but stops. He offers to be there for her if she ever wants to finish the story. Declaring she’s strong she tells him not to feel sorry for her.

Victor joins Brady later, hoping he’ll join him for lunch. He tells Victor about Nicole’s childhood and asks what happened. Victor tells him how Nicole’s father put her in porn movies. Nicole overhears and rushes in, flailing at Victor for telling Brady. The camera pans on Brady’s surprised face as the credits roll to tomorrow's previews....

Kate tells Belle (Alice and Shawn are also there) that Basic Black is going to have a benefit fashion show and she wants to use Belle's sleepwear line to headline it...Belle happily replies..NO WAY!

Nicole tells Brady (in front of Victor) that Victor only married her so he'd be married to a porn star.

Sami watches as Cassie cries in Lucas' arms asking if Tony's dead.

Summary: Lucas and Sami visit the hospital where she gets good news…Maya puts a hit out on Tony…Hope is a guest on ‘In the House’.

Hope is ‘In the House’…
Jack and Jennifer return from their morning run as she suggests a shower. They are kissing their way up the stairs as the doorbell rings. They reluctantly open it to find Hope and Shawn who have come by to tell them about Larry Welch trying to kill Victor the night before. Shawn has to get going, he is in summer school and wanted to stop the gym first. He also tells them that he is declaring his major as pre-law. Jen gets a call about their guest star canceling on them (once again) and complains about not getting stories. She turns to Hope for help and tries to convince her to go on their show and talk about the Welch story. They harass her until she finally caves in.

Later, the crew is there and setting up for the show and everyone is getting ready. Hope is terrified as Jen tries to calm her down. (Whatsup with that HUGE red flower on the side of Hope’s head? Does someone actually think that is attractive? ;-) Later, the show is wrapping up as Jack and Jen tell her that she did an great job and thank her. She gets a call from Bo on her cell. While she is talking, Jack and Jen talk and he once again complains about how they are journalists and is tired of being the daily piece of fluff. He wants hard-hitting stories. (Is ‘In the House’ on it’s way OUT?…Let’s hope so!) Hope tells them that Bo has a lead and she is going to join him. As she heads out the door, Jack tells her to bring them a good story.

At the Titan Gym…
Philip and Belle are there working out as they talk about their recent adventure. As he spots her on the bench press, she questions him about his next case. He tells her that he may not have one. He explains that the ISA isn’t happy with him and she thinks it’s all her fault for interfering (Uh, yes Belle, that is correct). She offers to talk to her dad on his behalf, but he makes her promise not to. Meanwhile, John and Tek are in the steam room and talk about Tony and why Maya would want to have him killed. They wonder about what kind of involvement Tony will have with her in the future and wonder if she will try and have him killed again. Tek asks if John would rush to his rescue again. Shawn arrives to overhear Belle and Philip talking and Belle explains how Philip doesn’t want her involved in his work as Shawn agrees. After Philip walks off, John comes out and asks Shawn how his family is doing (Belle had told him about Larry). He says that he knows Bo is out of town and if they need anything, let him know. Belle almost brings up Philip’s problem, but resists. Philip asks Tek if he is fired and is told that the jury is still out, but he needs to learn to follow orders. Shawn has decided that he must get to class and doesn’t have time to work out so he and Belle say their goodbyes and he leaves. Meanwhile, John and Philip talk and John offers a second chance and promise to do all he can to help him. But it looks like this case is over and he may be gone. They discuss the Maya/Tony case as John talks about what all they found in the wreckage, wondering what they were up to. He mentions the laser as Philip has an idea and rushes off.

At the Prison…
Maya gets a visit from Tony (and is not too thrilled about it). He reminds her that they are partners til the bitter end. He tells her that she may be out of business, but he isn’t and still needs her help. In turn, she refuses and tells him to go to hell. He makes a thinly veiled threat against her life, which rattles her, saying she wants to return to her cell. Later, after he leaves, she gets another visitor. This time it is Sal (her crony) and she tells him about Tony threatening her. She tells him that she wants Tony killed before he has her killed.

At Lucas’ Apartment…
No, it was NOT a dream…Lucas wakes up to find Sami in his bed. He goes to kiss her and she wakes up and pushes him out of bed (is this their new form of foreplay? ;-) as she rushes back to her apartment. Later (dressed now) he goes over and offers to fulfill his promise to take her to the hospital. She wants to go alone, but Lucas thinks he needs to go along to describe what happened the night before (her crying). He jokes around with her and she softens up a bit and they leave. At the hospital, they are treated very rudely by a nurse (NOT Brenda) until Lucas throws his weight around and she learns that Sami is Dr. Evan’s daughter. (LOL, she knows of Sami’s work reputation). The nurse finally agrees to go and find Dr. Galloway (don’t you just LOVE this new parade of doctors in the hospital?) as Sami thanks Lucas with a smile. The doctor comes and wants to run some tests on her as Lucas offers his support and offers to stay. She wants to go it alone and he promises to come back and pick her up later.

Lucas leaves and goes over to DiMansion (where Tony is home now and having flashbacks of an earlier conversation with Sami where she offers to be his friend. I think this was back when he first came to Salem). Lucas arrives to hear Tony ordering a special bouquet of flowers for Sami. Lucas tells him about Sami being at the hospital and Tony wants to go over there. Lucas begins questioning him as to his intentions with Sami and what he wants out of her. He asks if he is in love with her. Tony says he isn’t sure, but goes on about how he admires her spirit and how he is fascinated by her and is interested in pursuing a relationship with her. (You can see that Lucas is unsettled by all this). Tony heads to the hospital, with Lucas on his heels).

After he tests, the doctor gives Sami good news, telling her that her vocal chords are healing and that she is improving steadily. He says that she should be speaking clearly soon with no lasting effects. But, in the meantime, she still needs to take it easy and rest her chords. He assures her that her voice will come back when she least expects it. He tells her that he will go and get her husband. She corrects him and he then calls Lucas her boyfriend. She tries to correct him again, but he tells her that soon, she will be able to say those 3 important little words again. LOL at the look on her face. In the meantime, Lucas and Tony have arrived as Lucas looks for the doctor. Sami is dressed now and spots Lucas at the nurses station, she whispers “LUCA” a couple of times but he never hears her. We can see Sal lurking around as he takes a scalpel off a tray and heads towards Tony. The camera freezes on Tony’s face as we see Sal in the background…as the previews show…

On the Next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

We hear Maya’s voice saying to kill Tony as we see Sal raise the scalpel behind Tony. Sami sees all this and weakly says “TONY”…

Cassie asks Rex if there is anything she can do to help…He tells her that he needs her to get close to Philip…

Victor is telling Brady all about how Nicole was forced into pornography by her father. She overhears this and rushes into the room, attacking Victor, yelling “How could you do this to me?”…

And the credits roll…

Sami & Lucas have a restless night, while Rex continues to go off the deep end, and Larry finally breathes his last.

DIMANSION
Philip has brought Cassie home, and while she goes to get a CD for him, Rex & Mimi come home (thought they left b/4 P&C??) Rex explodes at Phil, wanting to know why he is there, Cassie returns, as both try to get Rex to calm down. But Rex rants at Phil, telling him to forever stay away from his sister, etc. Phil leaves. Cassie is angry at her brother, claiming she & Phil are friends, she needs one, and would never blab that they are related. Outside Phil calls someone to meet him at the DiMera’s as he has more investigating to do. Inside, as Rex & Mimi enter his room, she tries reasoning with him about his obsession with being a DiMera, but Rex will have none of it. He explodes at her, and agrees it was a mistake for her to be there, as she storms out.
Outside Tek arrives, not too sure about Phil spying on Rex, w/o the go ahead from headquarters, but gets talked into it. Phil feels Rex is up to something, he knows not what. Tek gives him nighttime moon goggles (to see in the dark) and a voice activated high tech recorder. He leaves, as Mimi comes out, slamming the door, bumping into Philip. She spots the square shaped recorder, wanting to know what it is, he lamely says a palm pilot, but our smart Meems realizes he is spying, and that he is much more than a simple Marine (face it, Phil, you are just not cut out for the spy game, lol). He denies it, but Mimi wants to know why he is spying on the DiMeras.
Inside, Cassie comes into Rex’s room to see if he wants some ice cream, but surly Rex says not now, he is busy. As he types away at that darn computer, she picks up a vial, wondering what it is. Rex shouts at her to put it down, that he & Tony have a big plan to work on together.

SAMI’S APT
In the darkened apt., Sami is sleeping on the sofa, dreaming of screaming at Tony and then going thru the window. Across the hall in his darkened apt., Lucas (clad only in his shorts, and looking mighty fine! LOL), cannot sleep, checks the TV listings, but infomercials are not appealing (boy, you got that right, Lucas). He paces around, takes out a bottle of booze, gets a glass, but as he is about to pour, changes his mind, murmoring that he has to get rid of all this stuff, as he tosses the bottle in the garbage. He takes the trash out, stops at Sami’s door to listen. Later, we see him quietly opening her door with a key, and wakens her on the sofa. She is astonished to see him, but he explains that as he was taking out the trash, he HEARD her crying……she must’ve been having a bad dream. (Just watch all Ali’s facial expressions during these scenes….she is totally awesome.) Lucas tells her that if he heard her, it means she is getting her voice back, and encourages her to try, to no avail. He brings up Will, telling her to use the phone to pretend she is talking to him. Sami tries, but cannot, and gets upset. Lucas is so gentle with her, asking her to maybe make any kind of sound, hum or something, but Sami cannot. She cries on his shoulder, as he quietly holds her. He asks if she wants him to stay a while, but her look reminds him he is clad only in his shorts…..so he leaves, telling her she has his key, if she wants anything. Both are now alone in their apartments, both restless, pacing. Lucas goes to bed, tossing and turning endlessly. Sami finally pulls open a drawer and takes out a key, looks at it. Lucas turns in bed, to see Sami standing there. She comes to the bed, they hug, as Lucas pulls back the covers & she lies down. He puts his arm around her, she lies on his chest, just wanting to be held.

THE HOSPITAL
Tony talks to Victor about Larry, and that Victor got him to take the fall for killing Colin. Inside the cubicle, Abe questions Larry about who helped him escape and pull off his previous “death”. As he slowly raises his hand, finger seemingly pointing at Nicole, he murmurs “Hope”, and all turn to see her standing there. Abe fills her in on events to that point, and all realize he had an accomplice. Larry wants to talk to her alone. Everyone leaves (Oh, yes, like the cops would leave at this point!),& Hope pulls the Salem soundproof curtain around the bed. ROTFL. Larry talks about their past life, saying they had some good times, “when you loved me” as we see 3 black & white flashbacks of a very young Hope & Larry. In one, she is asking him to put the engagement ring on her finger, another must be of them already married, and things not going well, and the last she angrily slaps him across the face. Hope tells him off, saying he could have made a good life for himself, he was a lawyer, a prosecuting attorney, and instead he went the wrong way. Now he can roast in hell, as the devil takes him there, while she is happy with her family, and because he will be in hell, he will never, ever see her again. As she spits out these words, the monitor begins beeping more, and finally flatlines, as Larry leaves Salem forever.
Nicole is one happy camper at the news Larry is no more, while Brady chats with Hope, wanting to make sure she is alright. She says Bo is out of town, but will hear about Larry soon enough.

Later, Hope goes to visit Alice, having seen her light on. Alice is sitting in her kitchen, in her bathrobe, with a big plate of donuts on the table. Hope makes tea, commenting on how Alice seems to have been busy, & Alice tells her to take those donuts home to the boys. Hope comments on how Zack won’t eat any but hers…..that she was to pick him up at the Pub, but it was so late that Caroline insisted she let him sleep, and get him in the morning. She tells Gran all about Larry, how he did not die during the prison transfer explosion, and was probably just biding his time until he came after them again. But they are now safe, and she looks forward to new adventures.

But at the hospital, Victor questions Nicole about her coming out of the Blue Note to warn him, but Nik claims that when he called, saying he had just pulled up, she could not wait to thank him for the beautiful flowers. She saw Vic getting out of the car, saw the gun, and screamed. Brady is finding this interesting, and Victor looks his usual grim self. Hope says Dr. Reiker (guess we will have to get used to seeing all these new docs, now that there are no familiar faces at the hospital…..not even Brenda, the head nurse!) is trying to revive Larry…..which panics Nicole. (Man, if ever someone constantly looked guilty as you know what, it is Nik!) But Dr. Reiker comes out saying they could not revive him, Larry is dead. Victor & Tony have to go in, just to make sure. (Egads). As they chat over the corpse,with Vic telling Larry to rot in Hell, Nicole is a wreck outside the cubicle. Larry is wheeled out, and Victor chides Nicole about being so nervous seeing a dead body. After all, she already has bagged one of her own – Colin. Victor says he nearly lost his life covering for her, and now it will be payback time, & insists they leave. As he ushers her out the door, Nicole turns, a stricken look on her face, as Brady has a puzzled look on his. AND THE PREVIEWS SHOW

Philip telling a protesting Belle that “we made a mistake before and cannot go there again” as Shawn walks up asking “can’t go where?”

Jennifer (Yayyyy!!!) to Hope who has just said “What”…..Something you can do for us right now

Tony to Lucas about Sami’s background being totally different from his, but he can identify with her survival instincts….& Lucas saying “So, are you in love with her or what?” AND THE CREDITS ROLL

The Loft Warming Party
Belle and Shawn hope to find a place to be alone at the park. They run into Mimi and Rex who invite them to join them for ice cream. Cassie and Philip walk up together, much to Mimi and Rex’s dismay. Rex orders Philip to stay away from his sister. Cassie assures him they just ran into each other and not on a date. Belle invites them all up to the loft and Mimi agrees, saying they’ve wanted to throw a housewarming party. Philip offers to go get junk food and asks Cassie to join him. She agrees, telling Philip he’ll like it
