Summary: As Belle pleads with Shawn to come home, Shawn tries to appeal to Jan…Kate continues to push Philip…Hope arrests Patrick, but he is too slippery for her as she ends up being the captive…Jack searches for Jennifer as she hangs on (figuratively AND literally) for dear life…and is rewarded as she catches her first glimpse of him.

In the Bird Cage…Shawn looks a picture of Belle and Philip, asking how could she do this to him. He turns when Jan comes in and catches a glimpse of Belle on the TV. He begs her to turn up the volume, but she turns it off. He calls her demented and delusional and goes off her and tells her that he will never stop loving Belle or give up on her. Jan breaks down, saying all she ever wanted was for Shawn to love her, but he says it is Belle he loves. She talks about “their baby” and he says all he did at the time was to help her. He recounts it all and she admits to lying about Belle pushing her down the stairs. But she says he ended up abandoning her in the end. She gets upset and goes on about his perfect little life and his perfect little Belle, but she lost everything…including him. He tries to explain that she was a victim and he just wanted to help her. She says after her parents died, she had no one and he was the only other person in the world she had ever loved, that is why she came back to Salem…for him. But Belle was always there, hanging all over him. She says that as soon as Belle found out she was in town, she would have poisoned Shawn against her. He promises if she lets him out, he will help her. He pleads for her to at least let him call his parents and Belle and let them know he is okay as she considers it.

Meanwhile, at Salem Raceway…Belle is on camera pleading for Shawn to come home as Philip watches. Kate walks up and asks Philip what has he done? To himself, Philip thinks that Shawn will never deserve a girl like Belle. Kate asks him for an explanation but Philip doesn’t want to talk about it. She harasses him as he basically tells her to butt out. But she keeps on and says that Shawn is just like his father was and tells him that Victor told her how it used to drive Caroline crazy. She tells him to stop being so noble and be honest with himself and concentrate on the woman he loves. Belle walks up and agrees with Kate. Philip turns and tells her that he is looking at her right now. He then tells Belle that she is friend and it is his place to be there and support her right now. He says he will be with the one he loves someday, when she is ready. They hug as Kate watches, shaking her head. As Belle paces, worrying, Kate tells Philip that Shawn is probably not coming back and urges Philip on, but he refuses to make a move on Belle. She tells him that John is also furious with Shawn and that there is no excuse for what he has done. Belle returns and tells them there is no news. Some guy walks up, telling them that Shawn is on line one and Belle rushes off with him. Philip tells Kate “that’s it…end of story”. But Kate refuses to give up.

At the Cop Shop…Tek is checking over Jen’s laptop as Lexie paces the floor, blaming herself for not seeing through Patrick. News comes in from the search and rescue team. In his office, Bo is questioning a nervous Bonnie about Patrick. But she insists that he had nothing to do with Jen’s disappearance. Tek gives Lexie the news that the search has been called off as he consoles her. She talks about the difficult pregnancy as he reminds her that Jen is like her grandmother…a fighter…and urges Lexie not to give up on her. Lexie says if Jen dies, it is HER fault. In the office, Tek delivers the news to Bo as Bonnie insists that Patrick couldn’t be involved. Bo continues to question Bonnie about Patrick, but she can’t tell him much and admits that they have be estranged and doesn’t really know where he has been the past several years. She talks about being very young when she got pregnant and wasn’t the best mother to him. Lexie paces the floor, blaming herself and tells Tek that she KNEW that Patrick was bad news from the beginning, but Jen insisted that he was good and finally convinced her and Hope to accept him. Then he did help Jen with the baby several times and they grew to trust him as well. Tek tells her to stop beating herself up, for they still don’t know what Patrick’s involvement is, even though the ISA says he could possibly be dangerous. Lexie begins to cry and falls into his arms. Bo continues to grill Bonnie even though she claims she knows nothing. Then she has a flashback of a conversation with Partick where he tells her about how he was told to come to Salem to “get” Jen. Bonnie finally tells Bo that she doesn’t know Patrick and admits that he may not be who he says he is. She reminds him that he has saved Jen’s life several times and risked his own life to return her bonds. But Bo is sure he is involved in her disappearance. Tek gets a call from the owner of the pawn shop, telling him that Commander Brady’s wife is in trouble. Tek tells Bo that Patrick is holding Hope hostage and they take off. Bonnie chases after them, yelling for them not to hurt her baby. She cries that Bo will gun him down just like he did Dr. Evans as Lexie lets her cry on her shoulder. Lexie gets paged and has to go to the hospital but promises Bonnie to call Celeste to come and stay with her. After Lexie leaves, Bonnie says that Celeste can use her powers to prove that Patrick is innocent.

Outside the Pawn Shop…Hope holds Patrick at gunpoint as he tries to explain to her what is going on. But she doesn’t understand what a stupid coin has to do with Jen’s disappearance. She wants to see it and he tosses it to her as he begs for her to let him go. Hope gets beeped and learns that the search for Jen’s plane has been called off and begins to recite the Miranda to Patrick. But he pleads with her for Jen’s sake. He begs her to trust him, but she finds it hard to understand the importance of the coin. She cuffs him and whips out her phone to call Bo as he picks at the lock. She talks to Bo for a brief second, until Patrick kicks the phone out of her hands, then grabs her gun. She grabs the phone and he tells her to put it down. She says he wouldn’t dare shoot, which he does…right through the phone. He takes her PDA and then cuffs her. Hope asks what is he doing and he says trying to find Jen. They hear sirens in the distance as she tells him to give up, it’s over. Bo arrives on the scene as Patrick and Hope are now hiding in a dumpster. He tells Hope, “one word and your cousin is as good as dead.”

On Salem Island…Jen is wandering around the wreckage and finds her purse with the video camera in it and plays the tape of Jack. Bruised and bloody, she wanders off, calling his name and falls over the side of the cliff. Jack hears her screaming off in the distance and takes off looking for her as she dangles over a ravine, clinging to a vine. The vine slips as she continues to struggle and prays for Jack to save her. Meanwhile, Jack finds a luggage tag and sees Jen’s name on it and is now SURE that she is there somewhere. He begins screaming her name and Jen can hear him off in the distance. She has a flashback of her car on the bridge as Jack is trying to save her and he tells her to do it for Abigail. Back in real time, she again hears his voice calling for her, she looks up and there he is reaching down for her, telling her that he will save her. Unbelieving, she stares up at him and says “Jack…” as the previews show…

Brady (to John): “Why would Crystal and Nicole want Marlena dead?”…John: “That’s what I intend to find out”…

Bonnie and Celeste see a coffin and walk up as Bonnie says “oh no, my son is going to die”. They open the coffin as Bonnie screams…

Hope yells “BO”…as Patrick covers her mouth and Bo whirls around…

Nicole’s reflection is telling her: “You know what you have to do…find a way to neutralize Crystal before it’s too late.” Then Nicole says “And I know just how to take care of it”…

And the credits roll…

Summary: Earl and Crystal chat as does Nicole to John and Brady, the Salem Mod Squad continue their adventures to track Patrick as Celeste takes Bonnie into her own time warp..to only learn who might be "next" to leave Salem. Jack reaches Jennifer in time, but will he save her from the ocean's clutches? Tune in tomorrow (or just read below)...to find out...

KIRIAKIS MANSION
John clues Brady in about having Earl inside the mansion upgrading the security system as we see Nicole and Crystal meeting up with him in the foyer. John tells Brady he's having Earl install a chip into the security system that will give them audio and video of what's happening in the house. Brady reminds him that's illegal, but John's determined to prove Marlena's innocence.

Meanwhile, Earl explains to Crystal and Nicole why he's there and John Black hired him. Nicole tells him who she is and Earl figures out what happened and how he was used, ticked he lost a pension and good job because of it. He turns to install a system upgrade and Nicole grabs it from him, knowing it's some kind of bug. Inside Crystal warns Earl if he helps John Black. She tells him they don't call Nicole a black widow spider for nothing. She tells him it's time they tell everyone the truth. John hears from the other side of the garden wall. The only reason they lied before was so his wife didn't find out about them. He knows his wife Moira is bossy, but he loves her and doesn't want to lose her. He tells her that her secret is safe with him. Proud of herself, Crystal figures she's taking care of everything.

Standing on the front porch, John clicks the device to start it as Nicole walks out and waving the device in front of him, says she's no technofile, but is this what he's talking about? Nicole rants at John and is disappointed in Brady, thinking he was the one person she thought she could depend on. She tells John..(the over the hill McGiver wanta be) that he gets his jollies playing spy, but she has nothing to hide. John decides to leave, telling Brady that Crystal's entertaining Earl he's guessing. Nicole holds up the chip asking if John forgot something. He goes to take it and she drops it, then crushes it with with her sandle, saying guess that takes care of that. John comes back with damn, that's what he was planning on saying to her when they carry her off to death row. Brady tells Nicole she was right. What John did was wrong and he apologizes. She asks him if he was going to let John do it anyway. Brady said he would have allowed it to prove that his dad was wrong and that she was innocent. She apologizes and tells him it means a lot that he believes she's innocent. Brady continues that if he finds she's lying and not innocent, he's finished with her. Nicole goes inside and Brady sees Earl leaving and goes after him.

Nicole goes back inside and says she can't lose Brady. Her alter ego appears holding a martini glass and tells her to get rid of Crystal before it's too late.

AT THE COP SHOP
Bonnie smokes non-stop fearing the worst for Patrick. Asking God for a positive sign, Celeste joins her saying that's impossible. A frightened Bonnie asks Celeste if she ever gets any POSITIVE signs, LOL. Celeste warns her it could be dangerous, but she'll try. She asks for an object that belonged to Patrick and Bonnie takes this huge dresser type hair brush out of her purse, saying Patrick told her it once belonged to pirates. Celeste said that will do and taking Bonnie's hand as she quakes with fear (asking for Celeste to promise no hockey masked killers are going to come after them with knives) papers start blowing off Bo's desk. The room turns dark and Bonnie nervously tells Celeste she's afraid of the dark. Celeste asks her to trust her and taking her hand, leads her through a warpy time dimension. Bonnie recognizes it as St. Lukes as they walk in and find a casket. Bonnie worries Patrick's going to die (hmm, if he's wearing a Hawaiian shirt in the casket, we know what THAT means). Bonnie clicks her heels, saying the infamous Wizard of Oz quote..there's no place like home chant. Celeste tells her there's no way to know it's Patrick in the coffin as they see Bo in a suit sitting in the front row. The two women nervously open the lid and shocked to see what they find in there. It's Hope in the coffin. They rush back to real time and Bonnie realizes she made a mistake. It's Hope's hairbrush that she borrowed at Alice's grand opening being she left hers at home. Celeste comments about Hope Brady will die as Bo walks into the office and overhears.

IN THE ALLEY....
Bo arrives alone, gun pulled (rest of the department have the day off?) as Patrick holds Hope in dumpster. Bo starts to leave when he hears a noise and returns. A black alley cat jumps over the dumpster and a frustrated Bo kicks the dumpster as we see Patrick holding his hand over Hope's mouth. He and Tek start to leave when Hope manages to call out a quick BO. Returning and hearing nothing, Bo vows to get Hope back as she's his life. That punk who took her will regret it. They leave and Hope once again manages to get out of Patrick's grasp, pops up and calls Bo's name twice before Patrick whacks her unconscious. (Bo didn't hear it this time) Later we see he's put her in the driver's seat (still unconscious) in her car and handcuffs her to the steering wheel. He yanks the radio wires and leaves after apologizing (to her even though she's unconscious), saying he had to do it to save Jennifer's life. Later he crawls around some alley with boxes with the same palm tree logo as Davies plane and the security perimeter on the island, saying they're right on time. A man with a gun pointed at Patrick says then again, it may be too late. Patrick shortly knocks the guy out, and changes clothes with the guy (who was wearing a black sleeveless tshirt and fatigue pants). He thanks the unconscious guy and putting the rifle over his shoulder and bullets in his pocket, says where he's going he'll need them and takes off.

Hope wakes up and our quick thinking gal is on top of things. She noses down the sun visor for her spare keys (including handcuff key), unlocks her cuffs. She sees her radio disconnected and phone and PDA missing, but realizes she can track Patrick on her GPS system in her car as she fires up the ignition. She remembers asking Jen's permission to check out Patrick when he first moved into Jennifer's and walking into his room and finding him naked and how he told her he has nothing to hide. She next remembers asking Patrick why he hadn't spent more time with his family since returning to Salem, then recalling when Jennifer defended why she's helping Patrick and warning Jennifer to be careful. She opens her glove compartment and takes out another gun (guess Patrick missed THAT too), vowing to find Patrick.

While TEK's driving, Bo puts an APB out on Patrick.

AT SALEM AIRFIELD we see Patrick in a plane ready to take off as Hope climbs in the plane holding her gun at him.

ON SALEM ISLAND, a replay of Jack arriving to rescue Jennifer. He reaches down and grabs her arm and pulls her up as the locket dangles from his neck. He pulls her onto solid ground at the top as she stares at him, saying it's really him and she can't believe it. Looking her in the eyes, he says it's really him and they longingly fall into each other's arms and kiss. We join them as they hug more and Jennifer can't believe it, she's been waiting for him for so long. He tells her that he'll always be with her in her heart and always watching over her, Abby and their baby. Jennifer wonders what that means as his image dissipates. We see her hanging from the cliff, seeing it was only her imagination (wow..she even had drempt of the same clothes and scratches he has, she's giving Celeste a run for her money!!) Jack has just found the baggage tag and calls out to her again as the never ending vine holding Jennifer continues to protrude out the cliff more and more. This time she can't believe it's real as she hears Jack calling her name. We find her turned with her back to the cliff as that vine continues to support her as Jack worries she was on the plane that crashed. Not allowing himself to believe it, he yells out her name as she hears him. She calls out to him, saying he really is alive as he looks down and sees her dangling over the ocean. The vine finally lets go as she falls as he bends down with his arm over the cliff...yelling her name...

Nicole tells Jan she's the only one who can do the job she needs done. Jan tells her “Whoa, you're asking me to kill John Black and Crystal?”...

John has Crystal on his back in the barn and she asks big John if he wants to get nasty in the barn as she pulls him down into a kiss...

Belle rants at Philip that he was just biding his time for her to ditch Shawn so he could make a move on her..

Bonnie tells Bo that her son is NOT a killer. He tells her if Hope dies, Patrick's the one who killed her...

A ho-hum episode with repeat dialogue, flashbacks, fantasies. Belle takes her call from “Shawn”, Shawn rattles his cage, John follows Crystal, Nik gets an idea, but the good part is Jack finds Jennifer at last!

JAN HOLDS HER KEWPIE doll, contemplating whether to let Shawn make his phone call. She taunts Shawn some more, turns on the video machine again, Shawn smacks it to the ground, shorting it out. She gets a phone call from Nicole & leaves. Shawn rattles his cage several times in frustration, (Can anyone think this is anything but B-O-R-I-N-G?) & flashes back to proposing to Belle on the roof. Meanwhile, Belle answers her call from “Shawn”, that turns out to be a hoax (like we all did not see that coming?) and gets comforted once more by Philip. He decides to give her a wake-up call about Shawn, telling her to face it… Shawn doesn’t want to come back. She gets angry, accuses him of trying to put the moves on her as Rex warned, Philip replies he is moving out of the loft tonight. (Ya think?)

NICOLE is wandering around the mansion, talking to herself about John’s suspicions, as she pours herself drink after drink. Her alter ego in the mirror encourages her to do something about Crystal. She calls Jan. Meanwhile, in the barn, Crystal is talking to herself about John’s suspicions (gee, does this sound repetitive?) as John arrives, looking for her. She hides, he hunts for her. She comes out from behind a bale of hay with a knife, they struggle, land on the floor, where she comes onto him, & kisses him. Meanwhile, Nicole is drinking up a storm, and has a fantasy about John bringing Crystal into the room, who has confessed all. Back in the barn, John & Crystal struggle, she runs off, he picks up a rope and lassos her (Bonnie would soooo proud). She throws off the rope, comes at him, finger claws extended, threatening to scratch his eyes out. He knocks her out!! (Tho I abhor violence against women, and do not advocate it at all, it is too bad Shawn has not overpowered Jan and ended that “MISERY”.) John ties Crystal to a post, throws a bucket of water on her, and tells her she is going to confess all. In the house, Jan arrives. Nicole tells her how she set up Marlena to be killed, with Crystal’s help. She warns Jan that if Crystal spills her guts, both Jan & Nicole will be caught as well.

AT THE COP SHOP Bo asks Celeste what she meant about seeing Hope in a coffin. He yells at both Celeste & Bonnie, saying Patrick would be to blame. Bonnie defends Patrick (having a flashback of telling Patrick she is going to help him out of his mess). Bo tells Tek to work on the messages on Jen’s computer, while Bonnie cries on Celeste’s shoulder about how she always screws things up. Celeste has bad vibes about Hope, Patrick & Jennifer. Tek notes that there is nothing in Jen’s inbox but messages from Jack, saying he is alive, etc. Bo says, Bull….as Tek remarks that maybe there was no plane crash and Jennifer is alive. After all, that pilot was able to send out 4 different radar signals. Bo is sure that Patrick is at fault. An officer comes in, saying the police radio line is open….evidently Hope did this so they could track her. Bo & Tek leave.

ON FAUX SALEM ISLAND Jennifer is still holding onto the grassy vine, and hears Jack’s voice. As he peers over the edge, she slips further down the vine. Suddenly, she slips off completely, but Jack grabs her hand, pleads with her to grab his other hand. She cannot seem to do it, tho he is begging her…..and she falls. Jack cannot believe it, but hears her call him, and she is on a small ledge, just out of reach. (tho glad it is there, never saw it before, lol). She questions his being alive, saying she saw him die, donated his organs, buried him. HOW could he be still alive. He says it is a long story….one minute he was walking in the alley, and the next he was on the island. He goes to get something to help her, as Jen talks to her baby, saying how brave Jack is and how he is going to save them. Jack returns with all the seat belts from the plane. He intends to attach them together, but worries if Jen would be able to climb out. She doesn’t think so. He says he will climb down and bring her up. She tries to dissuade him, & mentions his friend, Patrick, and how this would be right up his alley. Jack asks who is Patrick. She replies that is his friend, Patrick Lockhart. Jack tells her he does NOT know him at all.

HOPE HAS HER GUN pointed at Patrick in the plane. He tries to talk her out of it, claiming to be the only person who can rescue Jennifer. They argue. He begins his pilot check. Hope threatens to shoot, beginning to count, but he continues anyway. She fires. And the previews show….

Summary: Bo and Tek rush to save Hope…Patrick pleads with her to let him go after Jennifer, but she has a condition…Belle and Philip part company (for the moment)…As John corners Crystal in the barn, Nicole enlists the aid of Jan…Jack struggles to save Jennifer from sure death.

At the Loft…Belle and Philip return with her really PO’d at him. Philip is hurt by her attitude, claiming he was only trying to be a friend to her. She finally apologizes for her behavior, saying she was taking out her frustrations on him. He says he understands and that she is just under a lot of stress and asks if she is finally seeing that she would be better off without Shawn. She starts to get angry again, saying she and Shawn love each other and she will NEVER give up on him and if he had ever loved anyone, he would understand. He reminds her of Chloe and also reminds her that Shawn is family and he wants to see him come home as well. He says that Belle keeps saying that something may have happened to Shawn…if that is so… then what is it? He is sure that maybe Shawn ran off and joined the Merchant Marine, like he said he was going to do. He tells her to open her eyes, everyone else says she should move on…him, her dad, her sister. As he goes on, she begins to tear up and finally has heard enough and marches to the door, opens it and tells him to get out. As he leaves, he tells her that he still cares about her but she slams the door in his face. She goes to her answering machine, but no messages. She picks it up and hurls it against the wall.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…Out in the barn, Crystal continues to swear she knows nothing as John threatens her. But she stands by her story, claiming she knows nothing about Marlena’s death. He picks up a horse whip and offers to cut her a deal if she comes clean. She doesn’t believe that John has the clout, but he reminds her that he is a former member of the Salem PD and an active member of the ISA and will have the possibility of a death sentence removed if she cooperates. He brings up Victor’s death, but she says she knows nothing about it, but believes it could be the same person that set up Marlena. He demands to know who is behind it all and she says she thinks she knows. John tells her that if she refuses to help, he knows he can get Earl to turn states evidence and testify in a heartbeat. He tightens the screws on her, asking if who she is protecting is worth dying for. Finally, she tells him he wins…she will tell him everything she knows.

Inside the mansion, Nicole and Jan bicker as Nicole tells her that she doesn’t want her to kill Crystal, she wants Jan to tie her up and make it look like Crystal did it. (This HAS to be the nuttiest trio of ditzes I have ever seen). Nicole gives her instructions to tie her and duct tape her to a chair. During the process, Jan offers to give her “a fat lip” to make it look real, LOL. Nicole bitches that Jan is tying her too hard as Jan chatters on about Shawn. Nicole just hopes that John hasn’t gotten to Crystal already. Jan tapes her up as she complains that all that going around and around made her dizzy ;-) Nicole tells her to leave, but Jan wants to add the finishing touch, taping her mouth shut. Jan says this will never work, but Nicole says that if SHE goes down, so does Jan. She reminds Jan that she is the one that killed Victor and wouldn’t think twice about turning Jan in…if Crystal rats on her. Nicole calls them the “Three Murdering Musketeers”, if one goes down, they all do. (More like the 3 Stooges if you ask me). Jan says if that happened, she would never get to be with Shawn. She starts complaining that she has done and done for Nicole, without getting anything in return. Jan has a lightbulb moment and says that if Nicole ends up dead, she would be much better off. Jan slaps the tape across Nicole’s mouth, saying that SHE is the cause of all her problems. If she kills her…problem solved…as she laughs and pulls out a knife.

At the Airfield…Bo and Tek race to the north side of town, following Hope’s signal. Bo flashes back to Celeste’s prediction, saying he doesn’t believe in that psychic crap (and she has been correct HOW many times???) Bo is upset with Hope that she didn’t listen to him and went after Patrick on her own. He just cannot figure out WHY someone would want to kidnap Jennifer…what threat would she be? But he is sure that Patrick knows and when he finds him, he will get to the truth. Tek locks in on the location and the head for the Airfield. They are sure that Patrick may not be acting alone, for they have no info on him being a pilot. Bo calls for backup and as they get closer, other cops have the sirens blaring (which Hope and Patrick hear, see below). Bo orders them silent as he and Tek forge ahead alone, furious that they have lost the element of surprise. Tek is watching through binoculars and in the plane he can see Hope as she is holding a gun on Patrick.

On the plane, Hope threatens to shoot Patrick and fires a warning shot, saying next time, she won’t miss. Patrick tries to convince her that he is the only one who can save Jen. Hope wants proof and details so he tosses her the PDA, telling her to check her messages. He tells her that info will lead them directly to Jen. Hope reads the plane id number as he tells her he ran the info and found out that it is a private plane owned by a dummy corporation. And from the records, they have made several round trips to an uninhabited Caribbean island in the past months and he is SURE that is where Jen is. He says he needs to leave NOW, but needs a favor from her and he asks her to keep the cops from stopping him. She WANTS to believe him, but also says they should turn the info over to the cops and let them handle it. But Patrick says there is no time to lose, Jen could die in the meantime. She wants to trust him (for Jen’s sake) as he tells her it’s her choice. She wants to get help, but he says there is no time. She caves in, with a condition…she goes with him. He doesn’t want to hear of it, but finally sees that is the only way and tells her to buckle up, it will be a bumpy ride. As they taxi down the runway, Bo and Tek arrive, trying to stop them. Bo has Tek shoot out one of the tires as they try to block the runway. Hope yells for Patrick to stop, but he doesn’t listen as they take off…over Bo and Tek.

On the Island…it is now dark as Jennifer tells Jack about Patrick. As jack is working with the seat belts, he says he never heard of him. He then gets vines and begins to tie them together as he continues to talk to Jen to calm her. They talk about how much they have missed each other and about Abby. He explains his plan and then tosses down the vine, telling her to tie it around her. He starts pulling her up, saying he hopes this will work better than the last time they tried it. This launches into a long flashback that I am sure Jack and Jen fans will remember. The flashback is of a younger Jack and Jen with her trapped in a similar situation that ends up with her pulling his pants off. Back in real time, Jen yells that she loves him and pleads for him not to drop her. As he is pulling her up, Davies (the pilot) attacks him from behind and he drops her and she screams for help. They struggle as Jack gets the upper hand and returns to the vine and starts pulling up Jen again. But Davies cuts the vines as Jack and the vine both go over the edge of the cliff. We see Jack hanging on for dear life as Jen is back on the ledge again. He yells for her to grab his ankles, but she says there is no need for both of them to die and pleads for him to save himself, for Abby’s sake. He won’t give up and orders her to grab his feet, but she says she can’t reach him. As she feels the ledge begin to crumble, she jumps up and grabs hold of him…just as the ledge gives way and she screams…as the previews show…

Brady finds Nicole on the floor, taped, gagged and out cold as he calls her name…

Crystal and John are struggling again in the barn as he pins her down and begins to throttle her…

Philip is giving Lucas a hard time about taking that girl home for the second night, right down the hall from Sami. He asks… “do you even care?”…

Sami (to Belle): She is smart, successful and beautiful… Belle: Why don’t you do something?…

Summary: Jan comes to Crystal's rescue, Sami and Belle have a sisterly chat and drown their woes over ice cream, Lucas and Philip have a brotherly chat about women, and Jack and Jen finally make it to safe ground.

AT SAMI'S APARTMENT...
We find Sami bawling her eyes out over a sad chick flick. There's a knock on the door and she finds Lucas, bare chested (aha, lost his memo that they're now wearing undershirts apparently). He apologizes about the nurse. He says he did it to try and get over her and it didn't work. He loves her and asks her to forgive him. She asks him how he's going to make it up to her as they kiss..when she comes out of her daydream to hear a knock at the door. This time it's not Lucas, but Belle there to whine about how her life is ruined. She sees Sami's been crying too and the gals decide on some ice cream therapy while they talk. She tells Sami about the NASCAR broadcast and still not having heard from Shawn. She knows Shawn never wants to see her again. Sami tells her sister she gave Shawn every chance and it's time to move on. Philip's crazy about her. Belle said Philip's just a friend and in love with another girl. She tells Belle to wake up and smell the coffee ice cream. She's the girl that Philip's in love with! She reminds Belle how Philip returned to Salem and chose her on that Love is Blind reality show. Clueless Belle insists Philip is just a friend and helping her trying to get Shawn back. She changes the subject to Lucas, saying how well Sami and Lucas got along. Sami tells her how Lucas brought the super nurse home and doesn't know what to do about it. Belle can't believe her sister is letting him get away with this. Belle tells Sami to take a chance and meet Lucas half way. She sees Sami start to tear up and announces she has to leave. Belle leaves and Sami fantasizes lighting candles wearing a low cut black dress. Lucas arrives in a black tux, asking what she had to say. She apologizes and hopes they can start over. He tells her it's too late, he's already fallen in love with Amanda and Will's in love with his new step mother. Amanda walks in wearing a bridal gown, saying they'll be late for their wedding. Sami realizes she will lose Lucas if she doesn't do something now.

Lucas is at the Blue Note dancing with Sami, telling her how much he's missed her. Oops, it's Amanda who tells him they've been together for the past 24 hrs. when he covers by saying he missed her before he met her. He goes to get a Cosmopolitan for her and a club soda for him and runs into Philip who's sipping a beer at the bar. Philip warns him not to spend too much time with the wrong woman. Philip tells Lucas he moved out of the loft as Amanda returns and tells him she has to leave for a little bit, but will be back and will be all his later. Lucas explains how Amanda is a nice gal, evan a registered nurse, but Philip lectures him on how it must make Sami feel seeing him bringing someone home like that. Later the two brothers finish their talk when Amanda returns. She suggests they finish their drinks and head home when Lucas fantasizes Sami in a red dress kissing him. He hugs his date, thinking about what to do. Later they arrive at his apartment and she notices how he always stops like a lost puppy outside that (Sami's) door. She asks if she's keeping him from somewhere he wants to be. Sami watches through the peephole and hears him tell Amanda he's not thinking about Sami, but about his son who's away at camp. She sees them kiss and returns to her ice cream crying.

AT THE MANSION, Jan points her knife at Nicole, realizing if she gets rid of Nicole, her problems are over. At that point she hears Brady walking in and Jan tosses the knife on the floor and scurries off before he sees her. She pushes Nicole's chair onto the floor. Brady finds Nicole unconscious and bleeding where her head hit the floor. He sits her chair up and peels the non stick tape (apparently) off her mouth after she wakes up. She tells him Crystal did it and is out of control.

Down at the stables, John's interrogating Crystal. She's about to crack when John gets hit on the head by Jan and knocked out. Jan introduces herself and unties Crystal. She asks Jan why she's helping her, but Jan shoos her out before John wakes up. Crystal wants to say goodbye to John first (what a ditz) and Jan disappears, giving her 30 seconds. Telling unconscious John they'd be great together, she kisses him and he grabs her as she starts to get up. He starts strangling her neck demanding she talk when Jan whaps him on the head with a shovel this time. (c'mon John, you were hit once by someone that wasn't Crystal , THINK!). Jan tells Crystal she's tired of saving her sorry ass and explains if one of them goes down, all 3 of them do. She starts to swing her shovel at John again as Crystal gasps and they wrestle over the shovel until Crystal tosses it away. She pulls Jan outside saying she can't off that guy. It's not right to turn that Grade A beef steak into ground chuck (LOL). Jan warns her they're both dead meat (using Crystal's lingo) if he wakes up and finds them there and take off. John struggles to his feet and grabs his head as he goes back to the house. The girls are hiding in the bushes right outside the door now (huh?) and see him leave. Crystal tells Jan that if Brady doesn't put out soon, he'll be Nicole's next victim. Jan tells Crystal to get out of town and she herself can't as she has something else to do here. She fantasizes kissing Shawn.

John returns to the mansion and tells Brady that Nicole whacked him in the head. Brady is Nicole's alibi this time, he knows she didn't do it. He explains about the ropes/chair and the two men head out. They return later to announce Crystal's gone and took all of her belongings (hurray!!). John asks Nicole who hit her and she tells him she has no idea. Privately John and Brady talk as he warns Brady to watch his back. Nicole drinks to her victory about dodging the bullet and rushes into Brady's arms.

Jan walks on the pier, happy that things are going her way. Belle also decides to take a walk on the pier. She spots someone and calls out. Jan ducks, but Belle sees Philip. Jan watches and eavesdrops as she hears Philip tell Belle that he'll be out of the loft tonight. Belle tells him it's okay for him to stay, it's hard for her to be alone. She's already lost her mom and Shawn. She needs to accept the fact Shawn's not coming back. She owes him a huge apology and he was only trying to help her see the truth. He agrees to stay and be her roomy. She starts to tells him Sami's crazy idea about the two of them, but changes her mind. She knows Shawn has left her and she has to move on. Jan gets so excited hearing this she jumps up, hitting a crate near her, right in front of Belle and Philip. Belle says “Oh my God, Jan Spears.” and Philip wonders what the hell she's doing there.

ON SALEM ISLAND, we return to Jen and Jack hanging onto the cliff when she begs him to save himself for Abby. She screams as more of the ledge falls, telling him how much she loves him and Abby (if this at risk baby survives all of this, it's a miracle). Jack strains and lifts himself up to the top of the ledge and pulls himself over. She's holding onto something and he has another plan, ordering her not to move (think I'd make sure Davies is out of the loop too!!) Jack finds this cut tree he can use to save Jen and probably gives himself a hernia lifting it when we hear Jen exercising her lungs again. He ties the vine to the tree and lowers himself down to get Jennifer. He grabs her just as the ledge gives away and pulls them both up the vine (them thar are heavy duty vines on that island!!) as she holds onto him. They get to the top and collapse on the ground, safe (where did Davies go?) It starts to pour about this time as the two are exhausted and drenched, but finally together. She can't believe it, but he tells her to believe and nothing is ever going to take him away from her...

Amanda squeals asking Lucas what she's doing there as we see Sami in his room...

Jen tells Jack she got all of his messages and did what he said. Jack is puzzled as he tells her he didn't send her any messages....

Tek types madly at a computer as Bo looks over his shoulder saying Hope's on that plane.

Hope asks Patrick if that's another plane. He tells her no, it's a missile and it's coming straight at them and to hold on....as a shocked Bo stands away from the console...

Summary: Belle and Philip discover Jan on the pier…Sami interrupts Lucas and Manda…Bo and Tek watch as Hope and Patrick find themselves in danger…Jack gets Jennifer to safety, but they are not out of danger yet.

On the Pier…We get a replay of Belle and Philip finding Jan as they demand to know what she is doing there. Belle accuses her of spying on them as they are full of questions for her. Jan runs through a brief history of her past and offers apologies, saying she went off the deep end after being raped. She says she mad a lot of mistakes and then goes on to tell them about losing her parents and being all alone now. Belle softens up as Jan talks about hearing of Marlena’s death as well, saying she can identify with both of them. She offers her condolences to both Philip and Belle being as they each lost a parent as well. Belle falls for it hook, line and sinker, but Philip is leary. He pulls Belle aside, telling Belle he thinks it is all an act, reminding her of all the terrible things Jan has done in the past. Jan tells them that she is back in Salem to tie up the loose ends of her parents estate and then is leaving. She asks about Shawn, telling Belle she wants to apologize to him as well and Belle tells her about Shawn leaving and them not knowing here he is. She says that something must be wrong…he must be “tied up” somewhere. She flashes her ring to them and then informs them that she is engaged..to the most wonderful man in the world…and that he will NEVER leave her.

In Sami’s Apartment…she is asleep on the sofa, having a dream (or maybe nightmare). Looking haggard, she is moping around her apartment as she sits down to eat a tv dinner, then tosses it in the trash, We hear a cat meowing and she kicks it across the room, asking “why are YOU so happy?” (LOL). She goes to take out the trash and runs into Lucas and Manda in the hallway, on their way to the country club to play tennis. She begs Lucas to let Will stay with her for the summer, before starting college (ah, it’s the future, explains the touches of grey in Lucas’s hair). Lucas informs her that Will wants to live with them in their new condo as they make fun of Sami. She raises the garbage bag to toss it on them, but it ends up on her head instead, as they both laugh at her. She wakes up with a start, to find melted ice cream all over her and goes to change. She remembers her conversation with Belle and says she was right…she MUST do something. She grabs her keys and goes storming over to Lucas’s apartment. Inside, Lucas and Manda are in bed but every time he looks at her, he sees Sami’s face. While they are getting it on, he calls out Sami’s name and Manda jumps up, furious…then looks over to see Sami standing there. She asks what is SHE doing there. She grabs her things and storms out of the bedroom, accusing Lucas of still being in love with Sami, which he denies. She calls him a liar as Lucas and Sami are arguing. She tells them to have at it and storms out. Lucas rails at Sami, asking if she is satisfied. Sami asks him if it’s true, that he called her name and he denies it. Showing signs of jealousy, Sami storms out as well, slamming the door in her wake. He then goes stomping over there to get the key back. But from the hallway, he can hear her crying inside, as she holds the picture of him, her and Will.

On Salem Island…Jack carries Jennifer to a cave for shelter as she notices that he is feverish. He swears he is okay as they kiss. He says the angels must be watching over them. Jen doubles over in pain, saying if she is in labor, he had better be ready to deliver this baby right here and now. He tries to encourage her and tells her that they will make it through all this, just like before. Then we have flashbacks of her delivery of Abby. Back to the present, he tells her that after all they have been through, birthing this baby will be a breeze. Jack gets excited when she refers to the baby as a “he” but he promises her he will be happy either way. Jen worries about Abby and what she may think and what she is going through. The pains start again as Jack gets her to do her “hee-hee-hee’s”. In doing so, he gets lightheaded and almost passes out. He goes to get firewood and has trouble getting up and stumbles. He crawls over to her as she says he is burning up. He lies down with his head near the baby and sings to it, as both of them talk about how much they missed each other and love each other. Later, they have a fire as she talks about the locket and starts with questions about HOW he could be alive. He has no answers for her, but says he will try as he takes the locket and puts it around her neck. They hold on to each other and promise they will neither never let go. Jen tells him that she got his messages and emails but a confused Jack says he never sent any and thinks she was set up. She tells him about them, saying that he said intimate things no one else could have known. She also tells him about the photo of him and Davies and the video, leaving him even more confused. He has no explanation, but is only glad that they are now together, even if they are stranded. She tells him that may not be for long as she explains about sending Hope the plane info. He says she is the brains of their operation as she is sure that Hope will be searching for her. He begins acting really strange as he begins to try and tell her about the others. He tells her that there was never a serial killer and that all the others are alive as well, stunning her. He says “the others…” then passes out cold as she cradles him in her arms, calling his name.

At the Cop Shop…Bo and Tek return from the airstrip as Bo has flashbacks of what happened out there, cursing Patrick. Tek logs onto the International Guard tracking system as Bo worries about Hope and wonders why she acted on her own. Tek gets in as they track the plane and watch it on radar. In horror, Tek realizes that they are headed for restricted air space.

On the plane, Hope keeps one eye on Patrick, still leery of him as we get flashbacks of what happened. She says they could have all been killed taking off. She wants him to radio Bo and tell him what they know and let them help, but Patrick says that if Jen’s kidnappers get wind of a rescue attempt, Jen could die. Hope questions him about his intentions and asks why he is willing to risk his life….does he have feelings for Jen? He swears that she is a friend and he owes her. He tells her that if she doubted him, she should have gotten off the plane when she had the chance and offers to land at the nearest airstrip and let her off. Against her better judgment, she tells him to keep on course, hoping that they can rescue Jen. She remembers him risking his life trying to keep Jen’s plane from taking off, saying he could have gotten killed in the process. She starts asking him about his past, when they hear a garbled message on the radio, but can’t make it out. It is a warning about them entering restricted airspace.

Bo calls the International Guard and talks to a Lt. Col. Harvey and tries to explain about the plane. He tells them NOT to shoot it down. But he tells Bo that the plane doesn’t have the proper ID and is not responding to their signals. They are headed toward restricted airspace and they have no choice but to shoot it down. Bo pleads with him not to, his wife is on that plane. Harvey says it is too late.

Hope sees something in the distance and asks Patrick if that is another plane and he says no, it is a missile and it is headed for them. Bo and Tek watch on the radar as Bo begs Tek to do something. He taps into the missile and learns that it has some kind of mini-cam on it. From that view, Bo can see the plane and as it approaches, he can see Hope and Patrick in the cockpit. Patrick dodges the missile but tells her that it is a heat-seeking missile and still on their tail. Bo is begging Tek to do something as their plane disappears from the radar screen. Bo says NO as he stares in shock and disbelief…as the previews show…

Belle and Philip ask Jan who the lucky guy is and she tells them that they both know him already…

Lucas is on the floor with a gash on his forehead as Sami is over him and says “Oh Lucas…you are coming back to me…thank GOD!”…

Tek (to Bo): You aren’t thinking straight as Bo storms past him. Tek grabs him and Bo yells “Let go of me…get the hell out of my way!”…

REX AND MIMI frolic in the bathtub in the candlelight. After they get out of the tub Mimi thinks she looks like a drowned rat and mentions how she was his first girl friend and isn't he disappointed he didn't sow his wild oats before bonding with her? She knows being a bartender he'll have girls dripping all over him and asks if he's sure she's the one? He reminds her they just had the best sex ever and how could she doubt it? He asks if the Belle and Shawn break up has gotten to her and later she agrees that it has. If a perfect couple such as Belle and Shawn don't make it, how can anyone else? She's worried he might have ended up with Belle had he not believed she was his sister. He admits almost getting caught up in the Princess Belle deal, and how Cassie use to tease him about it. BUT, he still wants to be with HER, despite all her issues with her parents. She hugs him, saying she'd trust him with her life (he feels the same). Rex believes Shawn will be back to Belle and they'll almost be as happy as they themselves are. Mimi tells Rex how much she loves him and they fall down kissing. Later we find the lovebirds back in bed after making love. She agrees he's right, she knows he loves only her. He rushes off to the shower, inviting her along. She tells him shower sex is good, but she's still wrinkled from making love in the tub all night. She gets dressed behind some convenient cd jewel cases and opens the window..saying they'll be just fine.

BACK ON THE PIER we return to Jan telling Belle and Philip about her wonderful fiancee. Jan tells them they both know her perfect fiancee and acknowledges it is Shawn, well, like Shawn, but more stable. She enjoys ribbing Belle about how flakey Shawn's been. Philip suggests tea and Jan accepts, but Philip clarifies he meant for Belle. Belle offers her hand in friendship to Jan as she almost blows it, saying how Shawn was right about Belle. She tells them she meant what Shawn told her in the past about Belle. Jan brings up the night Paul raped her and almost killed the two of them. Belle and Philip tell her it's in the past, but Jan tells them she can't let it go, it hurt her too much. Belle suggests tea and Jan asks the three of them? Belle says sure and as the two gals make their way for the stairs as Philip tells himself out loud that something's not right with Jan and he's going to find out what (aha, Philip's got custody of the Salem Brain tonight!). The three of them arrive at the loft as Jan finds out Philip has moved in with Belle (they tell her it's a platonic relationship) and how Mimi has moved in with Rex. Philip comments how the pilot light isn't working right and asks Belle to open the window. Jan offers and does so and almost automatically. Looking out her own window, Mimi sees Jan at Belle's window and goes to investigate (I thought the guys loft was across the hall??) Philip asks Jan how she knew to work the special locks that John put on Belle's window. Jan tells herself because she's been stalking Belle, duh..but tells them she had locks like that in London and they're quite common there. She stalks around as Philip and Belle go to turn on the AC. Mimi walks in and overhears Jan saying she'll have to kill the two twerps as she didn't expect to run into them. She grabs Jan from behind around the neck.

LUCAS OVERHEARS SAMI crying and vowing out loud how she's swearing off men as every time she gives her heart to someone, it gets trampled. He hurriedly unlocks the door to rush in and gets thumped in the head with a bookend and knocked out. (thought it was the picture of the three of them, but that's still on her lap) Frantically she gets ice for the wound on his head and rolls him over on a couch pillow. Holding the ice on his head, she apologizes to him while he's unconscious, for everything she's said and done recently to him. (how about calling 911 instead? LOL) She thanks God when he stirs. L:ater she gives him some water (that'll help!) as he figures she was jealous before. She whaps a pillow at his head as he yelps in pain. Instantly sorry she apologizes and asks to check it out. He lets her and pulls her into a kiss (about time!!). We return to them kissing and Lucas tells Sami he's seeing blurry. It was because of her that he was with Manda. She wants to take him to the hospital, but he tells her it's because of her, not the hit in the head. She apologizes for hitting him and for everything else wrong she's done. She doesn't want to be a secretary at Basic Black the rest of her life and is frustrated. He tells her he knows she hated it when she knew he was making love with another woman and he hated it too, as she's the one he wanted to be with. Next time he wants her to be the one in his arms. Sami says she wants it too, but she wants to take care of herself and not do this for the wrong reasons. It's acknowledged the first time they made love they wanted each other's siblings, but this is different. They're grown up now and have a real chance to be together for the right reason. She asks what that is and he tells her he heard her tell him she loves him. She asks if he loves her too and he says what do you think and proceeds to kiss her good. She smiles afterward, taking that as a yes. He asks her to make him a promise...not to be her own worst enemy. Don't do anything Sami like and screw it up. Let things go naturally. Even Will knows they're right together. Let them discover what they never had. She rushes into his arms and he picks her up and carries her to her room. (eww..being he just got up from making love with Manda, I think I'd ask him to shower first) We join them in bed as he's lying on her and says “Oh Manda”. Sami launches up and protests and he laughs, seeing if she was paying attention. She vows to get even and starts tickling him. They start kissing as she pushes him down and the bed collapses. They break up into laughter as he tells her the earth moved. She tells him nothing's as good as what she's going to feel, again, as they start kissing.

AT THE CRASH SITE... we see the plane wreckage in the water as an unconscious Hope holding onto a piece of the plane, wearing her bracelet. TEK AND BO anxiously watch the computer monitor of the missile heading towards Patrick and Hope's plane. Shaking the monitor, Bo sees the missile impact the plane and screams HOPE, NO! Bo rushes over to Hope's picture as Tek offers his sympathies. Bo refuses to believe Hope's dead and orders a search and rescue mission. Tek tries to convince Bo that Hope's plane is dust, they both saw it. Bo growls that people have tried to tell him that in the past and it's never true, so either shut up and help him find her or get the Hell out of his way! Tek asks Bo to step down from his job as he's in no condition to be in charge after what happened. Bo refuses, grabbing Tek's shirt collar saying she's alive and to stay the hell out of his way. Until he sees his wife's body, he refuses to give up. Tek challenges him what will he do if he refuses to get out of his way? Bo demonstrates as he punches Tek and knocks him out. He finds out the rescue helicopter is just getting supplies onboard now (some helicopter, it should have been loaded and ready to go). Bo wants to go with the helicopter, but the woman judge walks up saying she just doesn't see that happening Commander. She was on the phone with the Commissioner when she heard about the cargo plane going down and tells him he can't go on that search and rescue mission. He's had too much death in the recent past and the department would be responsible for his actions if there's a problem due to his inability to command. She takes his badge to make sure he understands what she's saying, telling him to take some personal time to adjust...(hmmm, who will be the next commander...) Tek calls her into the office for a private talk and backs Bo up, saying he feels Bo is in control (LOL, what about that bruise on your cheek?) and is ready for field work. The judge has made her decision and returns to the outer office (Bo of course has left). She tells Tek to be on that chopper with him and to make sure he doesn't do anything that will look bad for the department. Tek rushes out, agreeing. We find Tek jumping in the back of the chopper with Bo and confirms he's not there to stop him, but to help him. He tells Bo about a storm about to hit over the crash site and they have to hurry. Over the crash site, Bo spots it and tells the copter pilot to take them lower. We see Hope's the board Hope was lying on, covered with blood and how the water is pink around it. Smoke from the wreckage goes in the chopper cabin as Bo calls out to her. We only see the blood covered board that Hope was on with her bracelet that got hung up on a nail....

John tells Kate he eavesdropped and came away with the impression that they were setting up Marlena to die...

Marlena tells Roman she's never stopped loving him and has come to love him more...

Belle tells Mimi that Shawn's not going to call her and she's come to accept that...

Bo finds a picture of Hope, Zack and Shawn with him at Christmas floating in the water. He calls out her name as we see a shark fin rushing towards him....

In real Salem, some of the residents continue to spin their wheels, while out on Faux Salem Island, Hope & Patrick are menaced by sharks, as Bo is later, while Roman & Marlena talk over old times.

AS USUAL, NICOLE CARRIES HER PERENNIEL MARTINI out to the pool area, where Brady is having his nighttime swim. (Doesn’t he ever swim during the day? Lol) Nicole talks to her fantasy self, who is encouraging her to make the moves on Brady, since she wants him so badly. Brady gets out of the pool, his cell phone rings and it is Chloe. She is asking about the opera house, since her agent wants to book her all over Europe and has to make the dates far in advance. Brady promises to find out, and talk to Nicole. She flashes back to a conversation with Victor, wherein she promised to be a stumbling block to the construction, then gets an idea, goes off, returning with her jewelry box. Brady is surprised, says he cannot take it, but Nicole puts on a big act, convincing him this will get him started until Vic’s will is decided, and they figure a way to get round Bo, Philip & Shawn.

OVER AT THE LOFT Mimi gets Jan into a headlock after hearing her talk to herself about killing Belle & Philip. Those two hurry in, breaking it up, & Jan sweetly says she meant “killing them with kindness”. (‘Scuse me, pass the barf bag). Shirtless Rex comes in, & Jan is impressed with Mimi’s boyfriend. Belle & Philip explain about inviting Jan there, Belle tells of breaking her answering machine, & Mimi takes her over to her place, digs out her old answering machine, saying she won’t be using it. Belle tells her she knows it is definitely over for her and Shawn, they return to the apt, where Belle asks Phil to make it official. (Oh, man, this is all so lame) She makes him record the message on the answering machine. He says something like “Belle & Philip are not in right now. Please leave a message”. Mimi comments to Rex that if Shawn hears that, he will go ballistic, as Jan thinks to herself that it could not be more perfect.

JOHN ARRIVES AT KATE’S wanting to rant about Nicole. He asks her to help him figure out what happened, explains his suspicions about Earl & Crystal. He tells what happened in the barn, & they agree that Nicole must have another accomplice. (Wow, a light bulb moment!). John worries about Brady, who is being alienated away from his family, and drawn into Nicole’s web. Kate tells him that Brady is falling for Nicole and doesn’t realize it.

ON THE ISLAND Roman & Marlena are outside, talking of needing to find cover as a storm is brewing. Both are in their mandatory flowered shirts, lol, & Marlena appeared to be writing in her journal, having lost track of time. Suddenly they hear and see an explosion far off, followed by a thunder clap. They realize the lst was an explosion, and wonder if another plane has gone down. The scene shifts to Hope floating on a piece of debris in turbulent waters. Patrick swims over, takes her and swims away. Up in the copter, Hope spots Hope on the wreckage…….then sees her gone. Over on the island, Roman gets a pair of binoculars from a storage box of some kind. And isn’t it wonderful….they are the powerful night vision kind. Boy, the Mastermind just thinks of everything, doesn’t he or she? He sees the burning debris, shows Marlena, they worry it might have been a loved one, and he comforts her.

Meanwhile, Bo & Tek see blood all over the water, and Bo decides to go down via cable to check the area out. The storm is getting worse. Now we see both Hope & Patrick swimming in the water, holding onto some other debris, and Patrick tells how he noticed the sharks coming round, and thought of a trick an old sea captain told him. He pulled out his pocket knife, swam into the sharks, knifed one, (we see this) blood spills, he swims away, the other sharks go on a feeding frenzy after the injured shark. (Oh, brother!)
Roman talks to Marlena of getting off the island and back to their loved ones. Marlena brings up the Stockholm syndrome…..a foiled bank robbery in Sweden, wherein the hostages came to really like their captors, refused to be rescued, or testify against them, and one even became engaged to one of their captors. They talk of how their captor wants them to become happy & satisfied with their life, and of their family & friends back home. Marlena brings up the fact that she fell in love with John, thinking he was Roman Brady, her husband and father of her children. She talks of their lives before, and how things got changed by Stefano. They talk of how Roman left town, and who knows if he had stayed, what would have happened.

Bo leaves the copter via a cable, and hovers above the churning water. Suddenly he falls in. He constantly calls Hope’s name. He finds her bracelet on the one piece of debris, then a partial picture of their family that Hope carried in her wallet. A distance away, Patrick & Hope struggle in the water, & think they hear what may a copter. They are surrounded by sharks, and their debris begins to break up & they fall into the churning water. Suddenly the sharks leave…..Patrick thinks they smell fresh meat…..lol (I think he doesn’t realize it is Bo) Patrick mentions feeling the tide change, he can feel the pull, and thinks they may be near land, and tells Hope they must swim for it. Bo calls for Tek to lower the cable, & is pulled up just as the sharks arrive for their din-din.

Roman & Marlena continue to talk more of caring about each other, and their loved ones back at home. They hear a noise, Marlena looks down and gasps……as Patrick & Hope’s hands grab the edge of the pier. Marlena & Roman look down at them in shock…… as the previews for the next episode show

Jennifer cradling and unconscious Jack’s head, saying…….I just got you back, you’re not gonna die. I am not gonna lose you.

Kate telling John she can’t imagine starting over with someone else. John says he thinks “the two of us may be perfect for each other”.

A distraught Hope asks what is going on – something is very wrong here, as Roman says “Welcome to our nightmare”.

Summary: Jan tries to explain herself to the gang…Kate and John get closer, with the help of a third party…a delirious Jack loses Jennifer, yet again…Bo refuses to give up on Hope…and what is happening on “captive island” proves to be too much for Hope to handle.

At the Loft…nothing much going on here as everyone questions Jan (especially Mimi). She thinks that Jan came back to Salem to get her hooks into Shawn, but Jan flashes her ring and announces to Meems that she is engaged to a wonderful man. Mimi’s mouth drops and says “Oh my GOD…someone wants to marry YOU?” (LOL). They all start pressuring Jan to meet him or at least see a pic. She thumbs through her wallet and sees the picture she fabricated of her and Shawn, and then tells them she has the wrong wallet. Mimi snatches it from her and pulls out a picture of Jan’s parents. Jan quickly turns the conversation about both Belle and Philip losing parents. Philip says he knows who is responsible for his father’s death…Nicole. Jan takes this as her cue to leave and excuses herself. But after she is gone, Mimi lectures Belle for trusting Jan and suggests that they follow her.

At Kate’s Hotel…Kate is continuing with John’s massage as a “midnight snack” arrives from room service. Neither of them ordered it, but soon discover that it is the favorite deserts of Kate & Roman and John & Marlena (respectively), cookies and chocolate fondue as well as strawberries and whipped cream. Kate calls room service to find out who sent it, but the guy tells them that it was delivered to the wrong room, but to enjoy it compliments of the hotel. We see a pair of black-gloved hands paying the guy off. Kate and John decide to not let it go to waste and eat, as they talk about Roman and Marlena. Kate feeds John one of the fondued cookies but sees Roman’s face. John feeds her one of the strawberries as Kate morphs into Marlena as well. John starts crying as Kate asks how can they go on and let go of their memories. John talks about proving Marlena’s innocence but Kate says it may be impossible. They change the subject and talk about Philip as Kate tells John that Philip keeps urging her to move on. John takes her hand and says that they may be perfect for each other. (The mystery person is now at the door listening…just WHO is pushing them together?) John goes on to explain that he is grateful to have her as a friend. She puts on music as John calls her “Katherine” and asks her to dance. She puts her head on his shoulder as they dance and he tells her that he feels a t peace. The music is interrupted with a special bulletin, telling about the plane crash and how Hope Brady is missing and presumed dead. Wow, news sure travels fast…considering that Bo and company are still hovering over the crash site.

On “Captive Island”…Jen pleads with Jack to wake up as she has flashbacks of them kissing in the rain. She refuses to lose him again. He is shivering and feverish on the edge of delirium as he asks about Abigail and talks about picking her up at school. Jen wants to go and get water to help break his fever, but he doesn’t want to let her go, telling her it isn’t safe. She calms him down as he begs her not to leave him. She shows him the locket and tells him it will protect her while she is gone. She leaves to find water as his mind begins to wander and he dreams. He dreams he is in the jungle searching for her but cannot find her. Instead, he finds the bloody locket, then 2 graves…one marked Jennifer Deveraux and the other Baby Deveraux as he breaks down crying. He wakes up, jumping straight up. Meanwhile, Jen is searching for water and tries to mark her trail to find her way back. She cuts herself and gets blood on the locket. Finally, she comes upon a small pond and washes her face then fills up a (what looks like a) coconut with water and heads back to the cave. Jack is awake now, and fears that finding Jen was all just a dream of a dying man. He whimpers about how much he loves her and passes out. He wakes up again, reaching for the locket, but it isn’t there…then he remembers giving it to her. He goes to find her, staggering out of the cave. He falls (into a ravine?) screaming.

Welcome to our nightmare…On the chopper, Bo refuses to give up on Hope despite Tek’s reasoning with him that Hope is dead. On the pier, Marlena and Roman help Hope and Patrick from the water as Hope (half dazed) is freaking out at what she sees. She wants to know what is going on, asking if SHE is dead. Roman tells her “welcome to our nightmare”. Up in the chopper, they are low on fuel and need to head back. Bo threatens to jump out, not wanting to give up. Tek reminds him that Celeste predicted Hope’s death and has not missed yet on her predictions. But Hope says he doesn’t believe in that crap and never did. He KNOWS Hope is still alive…they have a connection and he can still feel her. Bo agrees to go back to Salem, but vows to continue his investigation. Back on land, Hope and Patrick (as well as Roman and Marlena) are full of questions. Hope briefly explains that they were searching for Jennifer. Roman suggests they go to the Brady Pub, leaving Hope even more confused. Marlena tells her they will try to explain on the way. They arrive outside the pub as Hope is amazed how everything is a replica of Salem. They go inside as Hope stares in shock at the bar area. The Caroline turns around (nice to see Peggy again). She and Hope rush together and hug as Hope is so glad to see her. They talk of how they missed each other. But then Caroline turns melancholy, telling Hope that if SHE is there, that means she will probably never see Bo again. Later, Caroline is serving up food (chowder I assume;-) as Roman explains how everyone there has been separated from someone they love. Hope still cannot grasp what is going on, explaining that she saw each of them die. Marlena tries to calm her down, promising that they will explain it all. She just wants to go home. Caroline asks how Bo is and says she misses him so. They explain that soon, he will believe that she is dead as well. Hope doesn’t know how he can handle it all…losing his mother, father, brother, Shawn missing and now her. Marlena and Caroline are whispering and have an idea that may help Hope. (Alice and/or Doug?) Meanwhile, Roman wants to question Patrick as to how they got there. Then we hear “Hope, darling…you are a sight for sore eyes” as Hope turns and sees Alice standing in the doorway, surrounded by a haze. She says “GRAN?” and then faints dead away…as the previews show…

Jan tells Shawn that Bo and Philip are living together and that those 2 lovebirds are definitely nesting…

Bonnie tells Julie that she deserves to be strangled and she is the one to do it as she grabs Julie around the neck…just as Mimi and Rex walk in the door…

Alone in the jungle, Jen yells “the baby is coming” as she begins to scream…

John tells Bo that the plane was shot down by a missile. Bo snaps ‘I am going to find my wife’…

And the credits roll…

Summary: Good Show as we see more heartbreak to our Salemites as Mimi, Julie and Bonnie learn of Hope and Patrick's plane crash/death; Shawn learns of Belle and Philip's new living arrangements (yawn); Hope learns her loved ones are still alive after all as she and Roman team up to find out what's really going on! (interesting that Bo returns to his office ..didn't the judge take his badge? Nor does the Salem PD notify the family before names are released over the radio about Hope and Patrick's plane crash)

JAN happily returns home to tell Shawn about Belle and Philip's new living arrangement. She tells him that Belle is her new best friend. (C'mon, enough of this crap..get him outta there)

PATRICK'S KIN....

Mimi's got custody of the Salem Brain now as she tries to convince Belle that Jan can't be trusted. Belle stands firm about feeling for Jan who's lost both her parents being she knows the pain of just losingone. Belle turns on her radio/cd player and goes to put a cd on as the announcer broadcasts about Patrick and Hope's plane crashing (so much for telling the family first). Mimi is surrounded by her friends and she dissolves into tears. We return later (be prepared for your heart to break for Mimi as she sobs for her brother). Mimi remembers when Patrick and her were younger. She goes into Rex's arms, wishing she could tell Patrick one more time she loved him. She has to tell her mom and rushes off with Rex to do so. Belle feels so bad for her friend and knows how hard it'll be for Shawn when he hears about his mom. Being with someone you love during this time helps as Philip hugs her.

Philip figures there's more to the story than they know (after hearing about the plane being shot down by a missile) as Belle continues to worry about Shawn. They leave to go out for dinner and are in the hallway when Jan has Shawn dial up Belle's number. She presses mute so Shawn can't yell out to Belle if she answers. Shawn hears Philip and Belle's new message. Belle picks up and sees it was a private number calling. Jan tells Shawn it's time to realize she's his future now.

At Alice's, Bonnie closes up for the night worrying about Celeste's fatal vision about Hope, thankful Patrick wasn't in Celeste's vision as well. She turns on the radio and lights up a smoke as Julie pops in and tells Bonnie that her son Patrick is a murderer and that Jennifer will never be back. Bonnie tells Julie that Hope and Patrick flew off in a plane to find Jennifer. Julie is enraged and warns Bonnie if anything happens to Jennifer and Hope, it's because of Patrick and he'll pay for it! Bonnie tells Julie about Celeste's psychic radar warning that Hope, Patrick and Jennifer are all doomed. Mimi and Rex walk into find Julie and Bonnie fighting, trying to strangle each other. They break it up and Mimi tells them the news about Patrick and Hope. Shock hits them both as Bonnie breaks down into tears as she and Mimi hug and cry together. Rex goes to Julie as she sits and cries for her Hope. She wonders what will happen to Bo and the boys without her. Julie blames Patrick for Hope's death.

SALEM ISLE...
A replay of our fevered Jack as he struggles to find Jennifer and the baby. Jennifer is lost trying to find Jack when she feels water on her leg, upset that her water broke now. Jack continues to search for Jennifer. He's feverish and feels cold, thinking it's a sign of something as he sees a vision of Jennifer and the baby's graves. Meanwhile, Jen's collapsed on the ground screaming, saying the baby's coming. She realizes it wasn't her water that broke, but the water from her coconut or whatever she was carrying back water to Jack with. Relieved, she gets up and starts trying to find her way again. Meanwhile, Jack holds his head and faints. Jennifer realizes she's lost and tries to find her way back when she finds Jack on the ground, thinking she's hallucinating. She finally collapses on the ground next to him.

At the faux pub, we left Hope yesterday as she fainted seeing Gran at the door. Today they've gotten her into a chair and she wakes up to see Roman next to her. She turns to see Gran and the two hug as Hope cries with relief. Maggie walks in and Hope rushes to her as well. They tell her Marlena went to find Doug. They tell her the bittersweet news that now she's a prisoner on the island just as they are. Hope tells them she has a plan for their escape. Hope explains about her and Bo's psychic vibes and he'll know she's not dead. Roman doesn't buy it and says Celeste was wrong after all. They all thought after they arrived there that their loved ones would come looking for them. Maggie tells them what happened to Jack when they tried to escape. Roman tells them about Jack's torn, bloody knapsack they found. No one can escape. (where's Abe? He and Doug off partying?) Patrick asks if Jack could have gotten a message to Jennifer, but they doubt it. They tell about Jennifer's plane crashing and the others realize that noise they heard must have been her plane. Roman's sure it has to be Stefano Dimera. He's the only one, or someone taking over for him. who could pull off a plot like that. (hmm..Tony is also missing as well). Later we learn Gran went upstairs to rest on Caroline's sofa, overwhelmed by the news about Jennifer. Hope learns about Tony being there. Maggie tends to believe Tony is telling the truth about being a prisoner there just like them. Hope hears Abe's alive as well and tells them the letter he arranged to be delivered on Theo's first birthday arrived and Lexie knows he wants her to move on without him. Roman tells Hope how Abe's been stressing about that and is desperate to return home to her, just like the rest of them wanting home to their loved one. Maggie asks how Mickey is doing without her. She knows Bonnie Lockhart is cooking and cleaning for him. Hope only tells Maggie that Mickey misses her so much and kindly leaves out what's going on with Mickey/Bonnie and ALICE'S vs Tuscany. Roman warns Patrick that he will find out what he's up to. Later he and Hope watch Patrick from across the bar as Patrick flips his pirate coin, saying it wasn't suppose to turn out this way. Roman didn't trust Patrick from the minute he saw him and Hope knows he isn't being honest with them.

SALEM PD
Looking at Hope's picture, Bo knows she isn't dead and he'll find her soon. John arrives to offer his sympathies. Bo reiterates that Hope is NOT dead and he will find her even though the ISA and the Coast Guard have dropped their search (that was quick!!) John offers the use of his private jet to search the area. Bo thanks him and will go out at daylight on it. Bo refuses to have Zack grow up without his mother. He's already lost so many other family members. He figures Shawn's still off mending a broken heart, but wishes he were there. John unsuccessfully tries to convince Bo that Hope couldn't have survived. Bo relates it to people being treated like pawns on a chessboard when the lightbulb goes off. He and John figure Stefano must be behind this. Bo tells him they can't lose any more loved ones. Bo figures Patrick Lockhart is the key and they have to uncover where he came from before Salem. John agrees... as the previews for the next DOOL roll...

Lucas tells Sami it's hard to forgive someone for lying about something so important. Sami says, “you did”. Lucas tells her it's because he realized he's in love with her...

John asks Bo what if it turns out to be Lockhart. Bo tells him that his only regret was he didn't have the pleasure of killing the son of a bitch...

Roman interrogates Patrick, asking if he's going to make this difficult. Patrick asks Roman if he's threatening him as Roman grabs Patrick by the collar and pulls him up out of the chair...

The Early Edition waves goodbye to Kristen Storms (Belle) and wishes her good luck in her new tv series (THE CLUB HOUSE) that will air this fall. Today was her last air date on DOOL.

Summary: Cute scenes for Lucas and Sami as they have breakfast…Roman and Abe grill Patrick for answers…Bo refuses to give up on Hope…nuBelle makes her debut. The jury is still out for me on that one…this girl seems a lot older than Kirsten and delivers her dialogue with a sharper edge. But the dialogue is the same as she whines about Shawn. But for her first day, she holds her own with Kate and Philip. I will give her time.

At Sami’s Apartment…Lucas and Sami are in bed kissing on a stormy morning. They profess their love for each other. She reminds him of the trick he played on her (calling Manda’s name) and he admits that he did that because he was angry with her. She rushes off to fix his breakfast while he fixes the bed that they broke. As they talk (her from the kitchen and him from the bedroom) she is making French toast and accidentally picks up the salt instead of the sugar. Later she calls him for breakfast and he is excited because of the way Will always goes on about her French toast. Sami claims she isn’t hungry but encourages Lucas to dig in. LOL as he takes his first bite and almost gags, but he never says a word. He just keeps choking it down, saying it is delicious. He continues to eat to make her happy as she chatters about Belle and Shawn. Lucas says he can see it from Shawn’s side, since it all started when Belle lied to him and maybe he can’t forgive her. Sami reminds him that he forgave HER and Lucas says it is because he loves her. Lucas announces his is finished, so Sami piles more on his plate, telling him to eat up. LOL at the faces he makes. Poor guy keeps on eating, only telling her it is delicious. She can’t stand it any longer and takes the last bite…then rushes to the sink, gagging and spits it out. She apologizes profusely, realizing what she did and asks him why he didn’t say anything. He says it wasn’t that bad once he got used to it. She realizes he didn’t say anything because he didn’t want to hurt her feelings and she is touched, saying she loves him so much. Lucas pours himself a handful of sugar and eats it and they start kissing and head off to the bedroom. Later, they are showering together, talking about Will. They agree that he will be SO happy to see them together when he gets home.

At the Loft…Philip is in the bathroom, clad only in a towel, when nu-Belle walks in on him. He says they need to learn to share. He turns on the radio to hear another bulletin about Hope and Patrick and quickly turns it off. Belle says she knows she sounds selfish, but hopes this will bring Shawn home finally. Philip asks why she does this to herself and always seems to set herself up for disappointment. She gets hurt and he apologizes for saying that. He goes to take his shower, as she turns her back, but I think she catches a glimpse of him in the mirror. They continue to talk as he showers (poking his head out once in a while). She says that when Shawn returns, she wants answers. The doorbell rings and she rushes off, thinking it may be Shawn, but it is Kate with breakfast. Philip comes in wet as Kate arches her eyes asking if she is interrupting anything. They talk about Hope missing as Belle talks about how hard all of this has been on everyone. Belle tells them that she is sure that Shawn will call when he hears about his mom…unless something has happened to him. Kate asks what if he is dead too, which upsets Belle and she rushes off to take her own shower. Philip chastises Kate for upsetting Belle and being so insensitive. Kate tries to explain her actions, but Philip tells her that she has no tact. She says she just wants to see her children happy, especially him and Lucas. But Philip tells her that he is sure that Shawn will come back but Kate tells him not to give up and fight for Belle. Philip says even a Marine cannot fight an enemy like love. He turns the tables on her and asks her about her finding love again, but she says no. She loves Roman. Philip asks her what about John, but she says he is being ridiculous. She starts talking about him and Belle again. Belle returns as Kate excuses herself, saying she is going to visit Lucas (boy is she in for a surprise). Philip watches Belle as she stares a the phone, saying she is sure that Shawn will call.

At the Cop Shop…Bo is still there staring at Hope’s picture as John comes in. Bo shows him the paper with the headline screaming about Hope’s death. He says he just cannot accept that. Shawn Sr. comes in telling him that he has to, no matter how difficult it may be. But Bo suggests that he go on home, but Shawn is worried about him and says he needs rest. Bo says not until he finds Hope and Jen. Later, Bo is going over the info they have compiled on Patrick but comes up empty. He says that if they can find out where Jen was headed, maybe they can find out who is behind it all. Bo says that Hope and Jen’s planes both went down around the same area. Bo says he will never give up and if he finds out that Lockhart is responsible, his only regret is not killing that SOB when he had the chance.

On Captive Island…Abe and Roman are there in their Island outfits (apparently Hope and Patrick haven’t been issued theirs yet ;-) grilling Patrick for answers, for which he says he has none. Roman asks about the coin, but he says it is just a good luck charm. Roman grabs him by the collar, but Hope pulls him off. They can’t understand how he can resist such intense questioning, but he jokes it off, reminding them that he is Bonnie Lockhart’s son and can handle anything. Abe calls him a smartass and tells him to answer their questions, but he claims to know nothing, but begs them to let him go and look for Jen. Roman tells him about the force field and thinks that Patrick knows all about the island. The doorbell rings and Hope goes to find Alice with a basket of her doughnuts and everyone is glad to see her. (I was beginning to think that maybe they were going to torture him with them, LOL). Abe asks Patrick if he is really ignorant or to afraid to tell them what he knows. This leads Abe and Roman to think they are being watched. Alice and Hope go to the kitchen to make coffee as they talk. Hope is still having trouble believing all this and says it is like an episode of the Twilight Zone…or a nightmare. In the living room, Roman and Abe won’t give up on Patrick, even though he claims innocence. Later, Hope wants to talk to Patrick alone. She tells him that Roman and Abe don’t trust him and she doesn’t blame them, considering. The guys charge over, wanting to know where Jen is, but Patrick says he must search alone. They accuse him of working for the enemy but he says they are way off base. Roman asks Hope what she thinks and she tells him that even though she doesn’t think Patrick is telling the whole truth, she does believe that he is a descent guy and reminds him that Patrick saved Jen and the baby several times. She suggests they let him go and look for Jen. But Roman and Abe aren’t so sure. Everyone turns to Alice and asks her opinion. She says he if REALLY cares about Jen, he would be completely honest with them. He says he is, but after a moment, Alice says she doesn’t believe him. Abe says that settles it, he stays there. But Patrick pleads with them, saying if he doesn’t go Jen and the baby are doomed…as the previews show…

Kate in Sami’s apartment as Lucas walks in wearing only a towel. Sami smiles as Kate screams “NOOOOOO!”…

Bo is telling John that there is something terribly wrong…

Abe throws something at the force field as Hope gets “that look” and tells him that she thinks she knows a way they can disable it and get through…

Romand hands Marlena (what looks like) a knife or letter opener and tells her that if Patrick makes a move to use this. She is seen staring at it as Patrick asks “Dr. Evans…are you okay?”…

And the credits roll…

Summary: Lucas demands a truce between Sami and Kate, Fuzzy Bear makes a reappearance, Hope gets zapped in her effort to find Jennifer and Jack finds himself in trouble yet again...

Bo is on a tirade at the cop shop as John tries to make him face reality, Hope's dead. Later we find Bo and John visiting with Zack at the pub. Zack asks where Mommy is as Bo sees a little bear (the one Sami put into the coffin with Marlena). He doesn't recognize it, but John said it looks familiar. Seeing the picture of himself with Roman on the mantle, Bo reflects back to when he lost Roman the first time and John came to Salem and they thought Roman had returned. He loved him like a brother. Bo feels in his gut that there's something wrong here. He thought Marlena's death would end everything, but now Jennifer was kidnapped and Hope and Patrick gone...something's terribly wrong. Alone, Bo knows the best part of him died with Hope if she is dead.

We rejoin Lucas and Sami in the shower as they both comment on how it's a perfect day so far. Sami mentioned except for the salty cinammon, but Lucas told her even with that, it's still the perfect day. We see Kate knocking on Lucas' door, but she figures Manda may be in there when he doesn't answer and decides to see Sami instead. Sami hears the doorbell in the shower (good ears, I can't even hear the phone in the same room). Lucas tells her not to get it, but she thinks it might be Belle with news on Shawn and jumps out and gets a robe on. He warns her it could be his mom with more Lasagna, LOL! She figures Kate learned her lesson last time and will call first (wanta bet?) and tells him to finish his shower. Not happy to find Kate at her door, she learns Kate has some cookies for Will and only his parents can send packages to him at camp (looks like about ½ dozen in that little bag, barely a snack..haha). She tells Sami she tried Lucas' apartment first, but he's probably still entertaining Manda and didn't want to interrupt, etc. Sami dumps the cookies and tells Kate NO as Kate continues her Manda mantra. Sami listens, telling Kate she thinks she has Sami's future pegged out as she lets Kate go on and on. Lucas walks out wearing only a towel around his waist. Kate asks what's going on and screams good when it dawns on her. He tells Kate to sit down and Sami wants her out after all the nasty things she said to her when she got there. Lucas tells them both to sit down, shut up and listen good. He lectures them on Sami's lying and Kate's taunting Sami to bring out her worst attributes. Sami tells him how Kate played the Manda card. Lucas tells Kate that Sami is the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with and Sami says the same about him. He isn't asking for them to be friends, but DEMANDS a truce between them as the only victims there are Will and himself. They both love both of them. Lucas tells Sami that Kate brought cookies for her grandson because she loves him and Kate, Sami is Will's mother and the most important person in his life..guess who he'd choose. He tells Kate she'll lose if he had to choose. Sami picks up on that and tells Kate to leave, but Lucas flat out tells them both he'll be out of both of their lives if they don't straighten up. He won't even ask for them to apologize because they won't mean it. All he asks is for them to shake hands and TRY to call a truce. He sees Sami is crossing her fingers as she shakes Kate's hand and said it's the childish crap he's talking about! (oops) Both women promise they'll try as someone knocks on Sami's door. It's John. Kate asks if everything's ok, and John says he just needs to talk to Samantha. Kate leaves. Lucas starts to explain about his being there in a towel, but John brushes it off, saying he needed to ask Sami about something and pulls the bear out of a plastic bag. Sami holds it and she and Lucas explain about putting it in Marlena's coffin with her as Sami starts crying, holding Mr. Fuzzy.

On Salem Isle, Patrick is still being grilled by Salem's ex-Commanders and current Commander's wife. Marlena arrives and asks what's going on. Patrick continues demanding that Jennifer and the baby will die if they don't let him go find her. Marlena speaks with the others. Hope and Marlena know that Jennifer needs help if she is still alive. Patrick asks to use the bathroom as it's been a long night. Abe takes Patrick upstairs (no potty downstairs?) warning him he'll be right outside the door and silently cues Roman to guard the outside of the house. Hope worries what will happen if Patrick IS working for the enemy? Of course Patrick jumps out the window and Roman catches him as he tries to get away. We return to Patrick tied to a chair in Abe's living room (guess Alice just dropped donuts off and went home?) as they talk about trying to break the force field. Roman mentions they have to get home to their loved ones...and when he mentions Sami's name, Marlena tells him she could hear Sami calling out to her and remembers the stuffed bear of Will's that Sami put in her coffin with her. He asks where it is. Abe throws a branch at the force field and Hope sees what happens as the torched branch hits the ground. (we see the light on the force field did go out for about 10 seconds though). Patrick worries that Hope and Abe don't know how to get through the force field, but he can figure it out. Roman figures the bear is key and asks more about it. Marlena figures maybe the bear is still in the casket. Roman goes to check on Hope and Abe and gives her a knife to defend herself with. Patrick asks Dr. Evan's if everything is ok as she fondles the knife, haha.

Hope looks around in the jungle and sees the force field control panel. Abe's never seen that before (LOL..some cops he and Roman are) and she has him toss another branch through. They see the light go out momentarily and Hope figures out how they can get through it.

In the jungle, we see Jack wake up and find Jennifer lying beside him. Reassuring himself she's alive, he touches her face and now she's burning up just as he had been. He knows he has to help her, but still weak, collapses on the ground again. He finds her coconut and wet cloth as she comes to, thanking God he's still alive. He knows he needs to find some bananas and coconut milk. She asks for some watermelon as it sounds really good, LOL! He tries to explain he can't get it there, but decides to look for it instead (whata guy!) He takes about 10 steps and screams. Jennifer gets up and finds Jack fell in a pit. She asks if he's ok and he coughs dirt out of his mouth while he takes inventory. Nothing is broken and he tries to climb out. No luck. She wants to get a vine to lower down to him, but he tells her to go get help. She asks who she can get help from..and he realizes he hadn't told her that all the Salem Stalker victims are still alive. She tells him that's not possible, but he said he has some other things she won't believe either. We return after he's told her about the island. She can't believe it, asking how that's all possible. She figures he's hallucinating. He tells her he is getting weaker and she needs to go get help as she might go into labor. He tells her to go west until she finds the place and to tell Abe where he is. She asks where that is..to follow the moon and head east? She tells him to get off his butt and climb out right now! He struggles to do so and gets part way before he falls back down. He yells for her to go, now. It's the only way for all three of them to survive. He tries to climb up again and she has him focus on her and promises she'll be back and won't let anything happen to him. She leaves and he tries again, unsuccessfully, to climb out and collapses on the ground.

Hope explains to Commander Carver her theory about the branch shorting the force field. She wants him to throw a branch and she'll go through it, like Jack must have. Abe insists HE be the one to do so after they test it again. They do so and she turns and runs to the force field, but not quick enough and gets zapped back to the ground, unconscious, as Abe tends to her, shouting HOPE, NO!...as the previews roll...

Jan tells Shawn that things are looking up now that Belle's out of the picture. She turns and he strangles her with something from inside the cage.....

Brady tells Bo it would be nice if Victor's sons and grandsons were all on the same side. Philip said as far as he's concerned, Brady's little concert hall is on ice.....

Marlena asks Roman what harm a little kiss would be, showing each other a little comfort...

SHAWN IS PACING HIS CAGE remembering Jan’s taunts about Belle & Philip. In walks Jan in a snazzy cheerleader outfit (could fit right in with those Dallas cheerleaders!) & some pom poms, doing her version of a Shawn cheer. They argue. Jan leaves, & gets an idea. She has video-taped every single minute of Shawn in the cage, and plans to do some editing on a tape & sending it to Belle. But she lst concocts an audio tape, to play onto Shawn’s parent’s answering machine, so they will think he called. Later she goes back into the room, and as she turns away, Shawn pulls something around her neck, choking her. (zzzzz, same ol, same ol…..is this gonna be dragged out forever?)

ATTORNEY BRISCOE COMES TO SEE BRADY AT TITAN (finally, they are OUT of the mansion) to give him the bad news. It is last day to give go ahead on the concert hall. Brady calls Bo & Philip for a family meeting at Titan. Nicole gives Marie a lot of grief about Victor’s nameplate still being on the door, but Marie holds her own. Brady comes up, telling Nik that Marie is right & reading her a riot act about Vic’s memory. Bo, Philip & Belle (why Belle?, is she Phil’s shadow now) They all talk about Hope & Shawn, as Belle explains Philip’s new role as her “roommate”. Brady comes out, talks of concert hall, they all go back into office. Brady explains Nik’s presence as Vic’s widow (yawwnnn, sorry, this is all just toooooo lame) Brady makes his plea, Bo, Phil & Belle go out in the hall, Bo checks his messages & gets Jan’s doctored audio message from Shawn, lets Belle hear it. Since it doesn’t mention her, she cries on Phil’s shoulder…..where else? Bo & Philip leave, after giving their no vote to Brady, while Nicole grins like the proverbial Cheshire Cat.

OVER IN THE SALEM JUNGLE Caroline is in front of the Pub as Victor comes up, noting she has just picked some rhubarb, and talks of her delicious rhubarb pie. She invites him to help her make it. She can tell he is upset, and he explains that Hope told him how Nicole is causing a rift between Brady & the rest of the family. He knows she is obsessed with Brady. Caroline thinks maybe Brady is falling in love with her, saying it is possible to love 2 different people. Chloe is away, and Nik is here. She reminds him of how it happened with her, & how when she became pregnant with Bo, she had to make a choice. As they talk, she says he loved Nicole & so married her. Victor retorts that he only has loved one woman in his entire life. They continue to talk of love & separation, and who knows what might have happened if Victor had not gone away. She mentions how angry Shawn Sr. was when he returned from visiting his sister, and learned Victor & Caroline had been having some meetings, as innocent as they were. They talk of sharing a son, 2 grandsons, and how Caroline wishes Victor could have been more in Bo’s life early on. He talks of having loved her so much, and she tells him what a comfort it is to have him there. They kiss.

We see a replay of Hope being zapped by the force field and being thrown backwards thru the air. Roman comes rushing up to join Abe, and they both realize she is in shock, her heart is beating out of rhythym. Abe remembers something he learned from a paramedic once, grabs some jungle leaves, squeezing their sap on Hope’s lips, saying it is like a sedative, & will calm her down. Hope comes around, is a bit unsteady, but o.k. (Hey, folks, just reporting the facts, not asking you to believe any of it! LOL) Hope realizes the key to breaking the code in the box is probably Patrick, and they return to Jen’s house.

Meanwhile, Marlena & Patrick argue about letting him go to find Jen. She realizes Patrick may know how to get through the force field. Hope & Abe come in, asking Patrick how he plans on doing so. Patrick denies knowing, but claims if he could see it, he could figure it out. They talk of Jack getting thru, and disappearing, but Patrick thinks Jack is a pretty resilient guy, and is out there still. Hope, Abe & Marlena go outside, talk about the situation, and Hope goes back in alone to talk to Patrick. Roman & Marlena are now outside the Pub, where Roman spots Victor & Caroline kissing. He is reading to jump on Victor for putting the moves on his mother, but Marlena points out that Caroline is not resisting, that they share a son, go back a long time, and what harm in seeking some comfort from each other.
Hope talks to Patrick, finally agreeing to let Patrick go, providing she goes along. and the previews for the next episode show……….

John tells Sami to calm down, as she snatches Mr. Fuzzy Bear from John’s hands, saying he took it cause he wanted to punish her and she’d never forgive him for this

Marlena telling Roman……like I was free falling right into the Valley of Hell. Abe appears, saying…You were!

Jen says……finally, a way out of here….as Jack yells……Jennifer! Freeze!

Hope takes a step in the sand, & flies forward, with a scream & the credits roll……and it really bugs me no end that neither Matt Ashford (Jack) or Peggy McKay (Caroline) appear listed in the credits, but Gene Briscoe is. What is up with this?

Summary: The Belle/Philip/Shawn/Jan saga continues…John, Sami and Lucas visit Marlena’s grave…Patrick escapes to hunt for Jennifer…Hope and her father are reunited but only for a short while, as she follows Patrick…and it’s another cliff-hanger (literally) for Jack and Jenn.

At Belle’s Place…she and Philip return as she whines about Shawn not mentioning her in his message. She cries on Philip’s shoulder and they end up kissing. Meanwhile, Shawn grabs Jan by the hair and pulls her close, choking her, but she gets the upper hand (or I should say foot) and kicks him where it hurts and gets free. Jan slams Belle, but he says he still loves Belle and will NEVER love Jan. She tells him that Belle has moved on with Philip and will get proof. Later, she shows up at the loft with a hidden recorder and a microphone. Inside, Belle and Philip are still kissing and we see that it was only his fantasy. She comes in, saying she is there to check on Belle as Philip tries to get rid of her. Belle welcomes her in and tells her about Shawn’s call, and not even mentioning her. Jane sympathizes with her and calls Shawn a jerk. She asks Belle if she is over Shawn as Philip tells her to stop gloating and tries to get her to leave. But Belle insists that she still loves Shawn and that they made an agreement. Jan asks about it, but Belle won’t say. Jan reminds her it isn’t the first time he lied and turned his back on her. Jan tells her if she needs to talk, just call her, she wants to be her friend…as Philip rushes her out the door. After she leaves, Philip questions Belle, but she says she just wishes he and Jan would both butt out. She then apologizes for snapping at him. They sit as Philip says he understands and talks about him and Chloe and how he was hurt too. She says she cannot move on until…but she stops herself and won’t tell him the rest. Meanwhile, Jan returns home wondering how she can get Shawn to forget about Belle. She gets an idea and calls Belle. She tells him that she knows where Shawn is.

On Salem Island…Roman and Marlena are still outside the pub as Roman is upset over seeing his mom and Victor. Marlena defends their actions, saying they are lonely and calms him down, saying she knows how they feel, for she is glad to have HIM there as well. She cries at the thought of never seeing her loved ones again and wishes there was a way they could let them all know they are alive. Roman is still thinking of the little bear as she explains that it must still be in her casket. Roman prays that it maybe somehow has ended up in the right hands in Salem. He asks her to remember what happened. She tells him that she was buried alive as we see her flashbacks of being in the casket, crying for John and Sami to save her. She tells him that she thought it was over and began reciting the Lord’s Prayer (as the flashback continues). Then she heard a roaring sound, like some kind of machinery, then a clicking sound and the coffin began moving. She says that after that, she must have fainted because the next thing she remembers she woke up as the casket was being opened and there was a bright light. She says she felt as if she were falling through the belly of hell. Abe walks up, saying “you were”. He tells them he didn’t mean that literally, but when Tek was doing research for the ISA, he found out that St. Luke’s cemetery was built over old tunnels and chambers that were used for the underground railroad. He thinks that is how their captor may have been removing their bodies. Marlena says it all makes sense now as she remembers being in one of the underground chambers the night she trapped John there (as she has flashbacks of that). They realize that their captor is very smart, but alas, is only human and surely overlooked something. They pray that one clue could lead their loved ones to the graveyard.

And THAT it does… as back in Salem, Sami explains to John about the little bear, and that it was buried with Marlena as we see flashbacks of her and Lucas placing it in her casket. Sami gets upset and they fight over it as John tries to figure out how it ended up at Bo’s. Sami accuses him of taking it from the casket but Lucas defends John as they try and reason with her. Sami goes to clean it as John tells Lucas that something is just not right here and he intends to find out what it is. John says they need to visit her grave as Sami demands to go along so they all rush off. They get there and wonder if someone had dug her up. Sami notices that the area and the sod look untouched and John agrees. John says that there is only one way to find out what is in the casket…to dig it up. But Sami says NO WAY.

Back on Salem Island…Hope considers letting Patrick go, but only if she can go with him to search for Jen. He says absolutely not, she will die and doesn’t have time to look after her too. Of course Hope is offended by this remark, but he says if something were to happen to her, he would never forgive himself for she has a husband and 2 sons who need her. He pleads for her to let him go, so she goes outside to think. She doesn’t know what to do, then hears a voice asking “what does your heart tell you to do?”. She whirls around saying “DADDY” and they rush into each others’ arms. She assures him that she is okay and tells him how she got on the island, following Jen there. She tells him about struggling whether to trust Patrick. Doug goes to clean up and promises to return and they can talk it over. Meanwhile, Patrick has flashbacks of his time with Jen as he struggles with the ropes. He finally gets free and rushes out the back door. Hope returns inside to find him gone and rushes after him. We next see Patrick at the force field messing with the keypad as Hope walks up and tells him he can run, but can’t hide from her. She notices the coin and asks him what that has to do with it, but he says it is complicated. She grabs for it and they struggle. In the wake, the coin flies into the force field and hangs there, suspended as a hole opens up and he rushes through it, and tells her to stay. But we all know Hope…so she dives through the opening as it is closing up. So off together they go…in search of Jennifer.

Meanwhile…In the pit, Jack is praying for Jennifer’s safety. He tries to get out again, but falls back down. In the jungle, Jen begins to have pains and thinks the baby is coming. Later, she has found some kind of fruit and is eating, and it helps. She gets up and is hurting again and begs the baby to wait. In the pit, Jack senses something is wrong and tries climbing out again, vowing to save her. Her pain subsides and she starts out again. This time she sees something and says finally, a way out of here and rushes off. This time, Jack gets out of the pit and staggers off, telling Jen to hang on, he is coming. What Jen found is a rope bridge over a ravine with a river below. She starts across the rickety bridge as a board breaks and she almost falls. But she regains her composure and continues on as we see a rope fraying. Jack sees her in the distance and starts calling for her. She stops and turns as he tells her not to move. We then see the rope break as the bridge gives way beneath her. As she is falling, he is screaming her name…as the previews show…

Jan (to Shawn): Belle is over you big time…she is shacking up with Philip…

Philip (to Belle): How would you like to help me give Jan Spears the surprise of her life?…

Hope (to Patrick): What was your assignment concerning my cousin? Patrick: to target her…to bring her down…

John (to Bo): Someone is messing with Marlena’s grave…I need a court order to exhume the body. Sami rushes in hysterically yelling for Bo to stop him and let her mother rest in peace…As the credits roll…

Summary: Belle and Philip pay a surprise visit to Jan, Hope and Patrick talk more than search for Jennifer, John gets a court order to exhume Marlena's casket and Jack fights off dizziness to try and help Jennifer. KUDOS to Matthew Ashford today!! Last but not lest, J&J fans are treated to several vintage clips (described below) tomorrow....

Back to the cage room at Jan's as Shawn worries about his parents and Belle. Meanwhile Jan calls Belle and tells her she saw Shawn and will come to the loft later and give her the 411 on him. Philip tells Belle that Jan's a liar and hates her. If she couldn't have Shawn, no one could. In possession of the Salem Brain today, he tells her how unlikely it is that Jan would be the first person to see Shawn upon his return to Salem. He tells her he learned a wise lesson in the Marines (for the day or two he was actually in the Marines that is), know your enemy and asks Belle to help him give Jan Spears the surprise of her life. He surfs the net and finds the address to Jan's parent's second home on an island nearby. They remember going to a birthday party there in second grade, complete with clowns and horses. Belle figures Jan has good memories from that house. They leave to go out there.

Back in his cage, Shawn closes his eyes and dreams of Belle, fantasizing she's there and telling him they'll be together that day before kissing him. He tells the fantasy what happened and she understands, knowing there was a good reason for him not to come to her. She reiterates they'll be together later and they kiss goodbye before she leaves..only he realizes he's kissing Jan. She repeats her same old spiel about Belle's moved on with Philip and she and Shawn are going to get married. Jan enjoys taunting Shawn by singing to kewpie doll about Philip and Belle kissing as Shawn tells her to shut up. (oh please tell me Belle and Philip get him out of there, not sure how much more of this I can take, even for you folks) She asks if he's hungry and he tells her only if she's in a pie. She tells him she has to leave to go see Belle as the doorbell rings. Shawn yells for help. Jan opens the door and it's Belle and Philip. Jan's shocked, but covers well. Belle asks where Shawn is as Shawn continues yelling.

On Salem Isle, we return to Jennifer's footbridge breaking and falling as Jack arrives to see it happen. (how many times are these two going to have to fall, faint and almost perish before getting rescued?) He calls out to her, not seeing where she went. He weakly pushes himself up, holding onto a tree, hoping she is still alive somehow. Later he tries to think what to do and removes his belt as he yells to Jennifer he's coming if she can hear his voice. He yells they've been through too much to lose each other now (ain't THAT the truth?) He ties his belt to a foot long branch and lowers it down to try and get the dangling vine/rope. He gets dizzy as he stands on the edge. We return to him hanging on the edge, but pulls himself up and holds the locket as he flashes back to better days (wonderful collection of flashback scenes alert!!) when she told him they should be together and kissing, then when they're sitting naked next to a fire and he finally tells her that he loves her. He then flashes back when he was dressed as Santa and proposes to her, their first wedding when they recite their vows and put the rings on each other's fingers and he's told he can kiss his bride as he lifts her veil and the long look they exchange before kissing (oh, be still my heart.). The next fantasy is her surprise for him, when she tells him she's pregnant (with Abby), then Jennifer holding Abby and Jack joining them, then most recently when he had just put the locket around her neck saying he vowed to put that locket around her neck again and holding her..and never letting her go again. Looking at the picture inside he tells her she taught him about being a man, about family and being a husband and father. Kissing the locket he vows to never let her go. Before passing out, he vows to join Jennifer so they can together forever.

Patrick and Hope are hiking along as he claims to be going on a hunch as to which direction to go. Hope asks about the coin and who's playing with their lives. He finally says he'll tell her the truth. He made a deal with a guy he owed money to, a bad guy. This guy told him to fake a back injury when Jennifer backed out, knowing she had a big heart. His assignment was to target Jennifer and bring her down. Hope slaps a supposed mosquito off his face, LOL. He continues that he couldn't do it. He even tried to leave, but the cops claimed he stole her bearer bonds and brought him back to town. He reflects what happened after that and tried to stop her from being kidnapped (as we see him hanging on the plane Jennifer was in). Hope demands to know who the mastermind is behind all the other kidnappings and having Marlena as their supposed killer. He says he's as mystified and puzzled as they are about that. She wished he had confided all this to Roman and Abe and now they might not get off this island alive. He suggests they go back to the force field and he'll use the coin to get her through again. He wants her to go back to her family and friends at the pub. Her family needs her. Hope tells Patrick he's stuck with her and she knows he's up to something.

At the Salem Cop Shop... Bo vows to find Hope as he looks at her picture. Tek delivers bad news. It's the report on the findings of the plane crash debris and finding Hope's blood on a board there as well as a pool of sharks (they probably found Bo's too..so???)

John, Sami and Lucas arrive at the cemetary. John asks Lucas to confirm one last time about Fuzzy Bear and that it didn't get taken out of Marlena's coffin at the last second. Sami angrily tells John she wants her mother to rest in peace and won't let him disrupt that. Lucas pulls Sami off John and asks her if she doesn't want to know the truth. Sami says that John turned her mom in, that's the truth. Lucas tells Sami they need answers as well and he isn't siding with John as she takes off to stop John alone.

John arrives at the Cop Shop and shows the bear to Bo and explains what Sami and Lucas told him about it. Bo insists he has living people to find and doesn't have time to dig up Marlena's grave. John suggests there may be some tie in what happened to Marlena and the rest of the victims. (Strange that Bo included Shawn in that list after just getting his phone message). Sami comes in and tries to convince Bo not to do what John wants. Bo explains it's a legal court order and John has the right to do it. Lucas softly tries to rationalize to Sami that she'd never forgive herself if there was something funny going on and her mom's involved. Bo goes to get the order to have Marlena exhumed while Sami tells Lucas she'll never forgive Lucas for helping them do it.

At the cemetary again, Sami and Lucas arrive to find Bo and John with the gravediggers. Sami comes unglued yelling they can't do this to her mother as the screen freezes on her and Lucas...

Summary: The Belle/Philip/Shawn/Jan saga continues as Bell and Philip search for Shawn…Nicole works her charms on Brady…Roman, Abe, Marlena, Caroline and Victor try to figure out what is going on…In Salem, Marlena’s grave is exhumed, folloed by a doomed visit to the mortician.

At Jan’s Place…With Bell and Philip at the front door, Shawn is calling for Belle. (Why can he hear them, but they can’t hear him?) They want to go in, but Jan walks out, closing the door behind her. They hear a noise, but she tells them it is her cat (who is in heat). They continue to question her, but she suggests they go for a walk. Grabbing Belle’s hand and practically dragging her down to the ground to get them away from there. Belle falls and scrapes her knee and Philip demands they go inside to get it cleaned up. She finally lets them back inside and goes for supplies. While gone, she checks on Shawn, who is now passed out. We see through flashbacks that she drugged his drink. She goes back to them with bandages. They ask about where she saw Shawn and she tells them a story about seeing him about 50 miles away at a coffee shop. She tells them that he knew about Marlena’s death and his call to Bo. (As we see flashbacks of her editing the message). She tells them that he also told her that he and Belle were finished and that there was no way he was going back to her. Jan tries to assure her it is for the best, but Philip doesn’t believe her. He says Shawn would have called. They say they aren’t leaving until they find out the truth.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…Nicole is eaves dropping on Brady’s phone call to Chloe. He tells her about the concert hall being shot down and wants to go to Austria to join her. Nicole says she can’t lose Brady and must stop him. After he gets off the phone, she joins him by the pool and she starts working on him. She slams Chloe for not coming home to him and says she can’t understand how she would put her career first. Brady defends Chloe but Nicole says HER career would never be more important to her than her man and that Chloe is ruining his life. She leaves for a bit as Brady thinks about it. She comes back later and apologizes. They hug and end up kissing. She asks him to make love to her but he pulls away, saying he can’t.

On Salem Island…Caroline and Victor are outside the pub talking about their predicament. They are worried about their families and he apologizes for kissing he earlier. He talks about their affair years ago and says that it was wrong. But she reminds him how something wonderful came from it…Bo. Victor says that their love must remain in the past. He urges her to go in and be with her family and he will go home. Inside, Roman worries about leaving Hope with Patrick. Roman, Abe and Marlena are still pondering on just how they all got there as Caroline and Victor walk in. Marlena talks again about her memories of being trapped in the casket. Abe thinks he has a clue. He brings up Carly Manning being buried alive and how Vivian drugged her to appear dead. He thinks something similar may have happened to them. Marlena has more flashbacks of being in her casket and praying…then hearing the noises. She tells them that the next thing she remembers was being in Salem Place with Alice waiting on her. Caroline tells of waking up at the pub and then Maggie coming and explaining what had happened. Everyone remembers similar situations and they just pray that someone in Salem has a clue. Roman talks about Jen coming, then Patrick and Hope following. He just hopes that others may follow in search of them. Roman is still convinced that Patrick knows something and asks Marlena if she could hypnotize him. Caroline offers Victor some of that rhubarb pie they made earlier, then suggests that Abe take some food to Hope and Patrick. Roman and Marlena talk about HOW this could have all happened and that the mortician must have been in on it (it seems that all the victims were at the same funeral home). They don’t know what may lead Bo there, but they hope he will question him. For the meantime, Roman tells Marlena he is glad he is staying with her to protect her (as Victor overhears this). He in turn offers to stay with Caroline for protection. Roman offers to stay with his mom, but Caroline says no, Victor has offered and that would be a good idea…which seems to disturb Roman a bit. Abe comes rushing back and tells them that Hope and Patrick have disappeared.

In Salem…They dig up Marlena’s grave (as Sami has flashbacks of hearing her mom’s voice). She vents to Lucas about John doing this. They open the coffin to find it empty and everyone is shocked. They notice the lining is torn inside. Sami goes to pieces and blames John for burying her alive. PopShawn comes by (he was in the church and saw them out there) asking what is going on. They explain to him and then John talks about seeing Marlena at the morgue and we see a flashback of the mortician stabbing her. He says there is NO WAY she could have been alive. Sami tells them that she was SURE her mom was still alive. Bo thinks it could have been grave robbers, or maybe revenge against the “Salem Stalker”. But John reminds him that if someone had dug up the grave there would have been signs of that…the gravesite has been untouched. Pop leaves to go get Zack (Celeste is watching him) as John vows to get answers. The gang ends up at the funeral home to question the mortician, Mr. Milbauer as John tells him about the empty coffin. They start bombarding him with questions as he vows she was dead. John grabs him by the collar demanding to know what happened to his wife. He goes to his office to get his files. As they are waiting, they hear a gunshot. Bo and John break down the door and all rush in to find him dead across his desk, a gunshot to the head. They realize that he knew what was going on , but now they may never get the answers they need. The camera freezes on Sami’s crying face…as the previews show…

Belle (to Jan): How do I know you saw Shawn without proof. (Jan): You want proof?…I’ll give you proof (as a hand reaches for a gun)…

Bo and John smell smoke and rush in to a room (files?) that is on fire…

Marlena (to Abe and Roman): Think about what Stefano has done to us in the past…we CAN get home…

Lexie (to John): Believe me John, I am a doctor…I KNOW when someone is dead. Sami storms in yelling at Lexie: She was alive!…and you killed her! (as she grabs her around the neck)…

And the credits roll…

Summary: As Salem's finest investigate the mortician's office, Nicole continues taunting Brady, Jan tortures Belle (and us) with Shawn stories. In "New Salem" we see the residents talking in the bushes as they realize the island use to belong to Stefano..

Jan continues her “I saw Shawn” story and Philip, being a guy, knows Shawn wouldn't talk love stuff with Jan of all people. So, Jan says the truth is, Shawn just told her he never wanted to see Belle again and it was over. Belle believes that and starts sobbing loudly enough that it stirs Shawn out of his drug induced sleep LOL. He mutters her name from his bed. Jan tells Belle that Shawn said he'd never forgive Belle for lying to him about her mother. Belle asks Jan to repeat her whole story about seeing Shawn. Frustrated, Jan does so (and lucky us, we get to relive it too..or at least I have to, ha)...as Jan remembers faking a phone call to Bo from Shawn. Belle whimpers, wanting to hear every little detail so she can be more miserable. Shawn realizes it is Belle's voice (or should I say whine) through the air vent. Jan tells them that Shawn was going to join the merchant marines and never return to Salem. Philip tells poor little Belle to remember the book Carrie by Stephen King and that they have to remember that this is Jan Spears talking. How can anyone forget to tell someone their mother died? Meanwhile Jan wonders how dumb Philip is as she's giving him the girl of his dreams and he keeps screwing it up, LOL. Belle can't figure out why Jan would lie (oh, pass the barf bag paleez!!!). Belle thanks her for repeating the story again, but she doesn't believe it and wants proof. Jan agrees and opens her purse to show her proof. She takes hold of her little gun. Shawn struggles to lift himself up and can barely say Belle's name. Jan fondles the gun, but reconsiders and pulls out a ring box instead. She tells Belle that Shawn asked her to give it to Belle, saying she hadn't opened it, honest. Belle opens it and finds Shawn's purity ring, explaining how she and Shawn had agreed to wait until they were married to have sex. Belle remembers Shawn trying to give her the ring back on the pier, but she asked him to keep it in his pocket and only when he returned it to her would she know their relationship was really over. She figures the relationship is really over as they hear a noise (Shawn moving around). We see Shawn as he tries to make noise for them to hear. Philip asks what the noise was as Jan guiltily insists it was her cat and she should have gotten her fixed. She rushes out and no one follows her (dumb) as Philip comforts the whining, er crying, Belle. He'll prove Jan was lying. We see Jan getting a syringe to dope Shawn up some more as he takes advantage of the situation and gets out of the door of the cage. They struggle on the floor for the syringe (c'mon Shawn..help us out here...win this time!) Damn..he didn't hear me as she stabs his leg with the syringe (OUCH).

At the Brady Pub by the sea (now serving salt water fish?), Victor enjoys Caroline's rhubarb pie. He relishes having his personal chef and her company to himself. They're both concerned about their families in Salem as they gaze at the pictures of them at the pub. Victor's worried about Nicole making moves on his grandson. Caroline is confident that Brady has a good head on his shoulders and will be true to Chloe.

Roman and Marlena worry about Hope after her first attempt to escape. Roman and Abe, who joins them, assure her that Hope might learn who's behind this is she stays with Patrick. Roman acknowledges whoever coordinated and planning this huge task to recreate Salem must have had a lot of help. Marlena reminds them no matter what Stefano's done to them in the past, he's never won and they can win again! Abe figures there has to be a way besides the force field to get out of “New Salem”. They think about the tunnels. Marlena remembers Tony telling them that there were underground tunnels between Stefano's islands. Roman wonders if this is one of Stefano's islands and Tony comes out of hiding in the bushes, saying he assumes correctly. Tony explains the satellite photos of the islands he had and their location in relation to a nebula. This island was inherited by Lexie, who sold it to an unknown conglomerate and made tons of money. Poor Abe looks dumbstruck, but said they were estranged at the time. Victor and Caroline come out of the bushes as well (nothing else to do on the island I guess, LOL!) as Victor wonders if Stefano is still alive and bought it back as a final resting place for his enemies. Tony saw his father die in his arms, but Marlena believes it about as much as she believes she murdered all of them. Abe figures someone's enjoying watching them lose their minds. Tony rationalizes it's like a game..there are winners and losers....a challenge as to which castaways on this island will get home to the ones they love.
