Episode #9830
Taped 5/14/04
Director – Phil Sogard

Summary: Pretty slow show…as Kate makes an offer to Belle and Philip…John and Crystal play up to each other…Nicole twists Brady tighter around her little finger…Mimi and Rex help Bo and Hope search for clues…as Shawn tries to escape, but Jan gets the upper hand on him.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…a half-naked Brady is working on the punching bag as Nicole (also half-naked) flirts with him. He carries her over to the pool lounge chair and they start kissing. She snaps out of it (yes, it is her fantasy) as they talk about the family meeting earlier. She pretends to feel sorry for him because of “Bozo” and Philip voting against him. They talk about Bo wanting her out of the mansion and she asks Brady what HE wants. He tells her that he wants to believe in her innocence. He tells her that John suspects that Crystal could have been her accomplice in Victor’s murder. Nicole says that John needs to go back to “clue school” cause he doesn’t have one (LOL). She tells him that Crystal used to watch out for her back in their “working days” and that Crystal won’t be there much longer, but for now she owes her. She then turns on the “poor me” routine about how everyone is against her. Brady falls for it and thanks her for her support earlier and invites her out to dinner. She accepts and hugs him.

Meanwhile at the Blue Note…John is playing along with Crystal and they go to dance. As they are on the dance floor shaking their booties, Kate returns to the Blue Note (she has lost her keys) and is shocked by what she sees. Kate walks over asking what is going on as Crystal calls her “granny”. Crystal goes to get a drink as she questions the bartender who Kate is and he fills her in. John lets Kate in on his plan of “seducing” Crystal and his suspicions of her being Nicole’s accomplice. Kate calls Crystal a grifter and thinks he may be right. Kate fills John in about the family meeting (Philip had told her) and John feels bad for Brady, plus he thinks that was Nicole plan all along to divide and conquer. They also talk about Philip and Belle as Kate builds them up to John. She proceeds to slam Shawn (and Bo) but John tells her that Philip and Belle are adults who can make their own decisions. Crystal comes back over (with a double martini) and throws it in Kate’s face. John calms her down and sends Kate on her way (at his urging). After she leaves, John and Crystal start coming on to each other again. Brady and Nicole walk in and as Brady goes to handle some business in the office, Nicole spots John and Crystal flirting heavily. John tells Crystal that he is worried about Nicole and Brady and Crystal tells him he should be…Nicole is a killer. Nicole panics.

At Basic Black…Belle presses Philip for the name of his lady love. He begins to tell her how he feels, but she stops him, saying she can’t keep a secret, so don’t tell her. (good grief). She talks about what a good friend he is…yada, yada, yada…then she has a fantasy about running for president and announces him as her running mate. Then HE fantasizes about accepting and then proposing to her and her accepting. Then she starts talking about Shawn again. Philip assures her that she will hear from his soon. She wants to show him her latest designs and as she does, Kate walks in and spots them. She overhears Belle saying she wishes she could use her talents to help others. Kate makes her an offer to head up the Basic Black Foundation and asks Philip if he would like to work with her. Both happily accept as Philip says he can’t wait to get started and they hug.

Over at the Loft…we have a replay of Rex and Mimi talking about Shawn (she calls him a bastard) as Bo and Hope overhear. She apologizes but says she just can’t believe how he has treated Belle. They share that they suspect foul play and suspect the worst. They want to search Shawn’s room for clues and Mimi and Rex offer their assistance. Hope hands out gloves and all 4 go tromping in there. LOL as Hope is shocked at the messy room (typical) and they talk about the Marlena attempted to stab Shawn and the fact that there was someone else there. Hope finds an earring on the floor as Mimi says it isn’t hers or Belle’s…but it seems familiar. Bo checks it for prints but only finds a partial. But Rex has a clue and scans it into the computer and enhances it. He then taps into the Salem PD mainframe. Bo logs in and they run the print and find a match. Hope asks who it is and Bo says it belongs to a murderer.

Speaking of Shawn…he unlocks the handcuffs after knocking Jan to the floor, and almost escapes. But she throws hot coffee on him. We next see her in a nurses outfit, with him chained back to the bed. It seems she also whacked him with a lead pipe. She is talking to “Cupie” again, and says this is more fun than playing Barbie. He starts talking about Belle as she puts her fingers in her ears and sings “ la, la, la, la” (what a nutcase). He begs her to let him go and she goes to get the key. He thinks he is going home, but she returns with her purse and he asks her where the key is. She said she went to get the key…to the gun cabinet, and pulls out a gun, saying she is going to go and shoot Belle’s “sorry little ass”, then it will be just him and her. He yells “NOOOO!”…as the previews show…

On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

Philip and Belle toast each other…

Nicole throws her drink on Crystal, who in turn calls her “a clumsy bitch”…

Jen answers the phone and asks “Jack…is that you?”…

Jan walks in on Belle, pulls her gun and fires 4 times…

And the credits roll…

Episode #9831
Taped 5/24/04 (10 days after yesterday's show?)
Director – Roy Steinberg

Summary: Another long night continues as Bonnie and son have a chat about his problem as Jennifer awaits a new message from Jack. John and Brady discuss Nicole and Crystal at the Blue Note while Crystal and Nicole chat in the ladies room; Shawn fears for Belle's life after Jan vows to end it once and for all; and Marlena gets a surprise visitor and worries about her loved ones left behind (who don't seem to be mourning HER very much)....

At Jennifer's, Bonnie unpacks groceries and asks shirtless son Patrick if he's scamming Jennifer and responsible for “Jack's” talking to her through the computer. As she tosses some of the food she supposedly got too much of for Jennifer and Abby into a box to take home, Patrick calls her what she is, a thief, asking where his and Mimi's money is. She asks if he's in trouble and he agrees he is, but doesn't need her help. He tells her the guys who stole Jennifer's bonds were the ones who beat him up. They forced him to come to Salem and want him to do something to Jennifer. She wants to help, but he tells her no. She warns him to be careful and leaves with the “extra” groceries to go home to Connor, the invisible son.

In the living room, Abby finds Jennifer staring at the computer, asking “Jack” to talk with her. She explains it as she's going over some of Jack's file. Abby breaks down and starts to cry, wishing her daddy was there, remembering how he use to make her laugh. The two cuddle, both missing Jack. Later Abby tells her mom she wants to stay with her, not go to camp. Jennifer insists she go, saying the family is just a phone call away and Patrick will be there with her. When she gets home from camp she'll have a new baby brother or sister. As soon as Abby dashes up the stairs for bed, Jennifer gets back on the computer. She answers the ringing phone, asking if it's Jack. She apologizes when she finds out it's Abby's friend's mother , calling to confirm that Abby's going to camp. She hears Jack's voice on the computer calling her name (static connection) and rushes to it. Words start typing on the screen...JENNIFER, IT'S JACK. I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I'M ALIVE, I'M ALIVE. She hugs the unplugged laptop to her chest and says you knew he was alive. (I would have typed back myself, but huggin's good too I guess.)

At the Blue Note, John continues his flirting with Crystal as Nicole spots them from the bar. When Brady joins her, she points them out saying the mourning period must be over and they join John and Crystal after she tells John that Nicole's a man killer. Nicole suggests they join them and buy them dinner, but John and Crystal refuse as they cozy up together. Nicole tells them to enjoy as she tosses her drink at Crystal, who calls her a clumsy bitch. (uh, being she threw the drink at you, “clumsy” is not the word Crystal). Denying doing it deliberately as Crystal accuses, Brady pipes in that Nicole wouldn't waste perfectly good vodka, as Crystal goes to the ladies room to clean up. Nicole follows her to “apologize”. John and Brady talk as Brady clues his father in that Crystal is a porn star. Nicole knows some porn stars got into the business for the wrong reason and need help getting out and is trying to help her. John mentions how Crystal might have been Nicole's accomplice to kill Victor and using a napkin, puts her wine glass in his pocket to run her fingerprints. Brady tells him Crystal wasn't in town at that time. (Hmm..John's got custody of the Salem brain apparently..wait til he finds out she was in prison with Marlena).

Nicole warns Crystal to stay away from Brady's father. Crystal's anxious to “charge her batteries” as Nicole warns her she'll be back in prison if she continues doing what she is.

On Salem Island in her penthouse, Marlena dictates into her recorder that Roman and Abe are trying to find Jack in the jungle when the doorbell rings. She nearly passes out when opening to the door and finding Victor there. He heard she had joined them and stopped by. (being Victor wasn't one of Marlena's victims, I wonder if Lexie is unknowingly involved by their captor to simulate their deaths being she pronounced them all dead? All of us who watch Crossing Jordan and CSI know they don't call a doctor to do that, that's the cornoner's job.) Marlena and Victor talk about his death not being related to the others and he figures the mastermind behind all of this knew about the plot to kill him and took advantage of it. He tells her Jan was Nicole's accomplice. She remembered seeing Jan in Salem. Victor is furious when he finds out Nicole's not in jail after he hid all that evidence in his safe to be found upon his death. Marlena tells him the safe was empty when they opened it. He realizes Nicole must be living it up in the mansion with his grandson. He damns that murdering whore to hell. She tells him John and Bo are determined to find Nicole guilty. He tells her about the deal Jan and Nicole made to help each other. Marlena worries about Belle's safety when Victor tells her that Jan is obsessed with Shawn. He's worried about Nicole trying to get Brady. Marlena knows how much Brady loves Chloe, but Victor says that Nicole kills anyone she can't have. They worry about the people they love back in real Salem and the danger they face. Victor figures that's part of the plan, to make them worry about something they can't do anything about.

Shawn tells Jan she is not the killer type as she remembers electrocuting Victor in his tub. She asks if he wants proof. She knows Belle is standing between them and must be eliminated. Shawn tells Jan if she kills Belle that he will hate her and this will all be for nothing. He promises to give her his undying love if she doesn't hurt Belle. He suggests she come closer so he can prove it. She puts the gun down on the tray and straddles him, kissing him all over at his suggestion as he looks bored, but relieved. He coldly tells her she's getting him excited, LOL..and even Jan realizes it's not true when he asks to be uncuffed. She calls Belle's loft to see if she's home, saying 80% of all deaths happen in the home. Holding the phone to Shawn's ear to hear Belle's voice for the last time, we hear Belle's message and saying she loves Shawn and is at Basic Black. Looney Jan rants that all Belle thinks about is Shawn and she must die. As he struggles with his cuffs he pictures Jan walking into BB and shooting Belle point blank about 7 times.

Belle and Philip look over all the Basic Black Foundation charities. She suggests they work together between Victor's and Basic Black's charities and maybe the opera house can be built as Brady wants. Philip doesn't agree. She figures Chloe is the mystery girl he's in love with. He denies it, just saying there are more worthy causes than an opera house. She opens the door to someone delivering champagne and a surprise dessert to her. She thinks Shawn might be back (oh brother) as Philip looks disappointed. She reads the card, it's from Kate congratulating them on their new work together. Kate sent strawberries and whipped cream with the champagne as Belle remembers it was her parents and also her and Shawn's special dessert. Philip tells Belle there's no excuse for Shawn not calling or returning home. He excuses himself to get some papers from his car as he pats his heart in the outer office. We see him step into the elevator as Jan walks in wearing a trench coat and big black hat and gloves. She pulls her gun out of her coat pocket. Belle looks out the window saying she misses Shawn as Jan walks into the office as red flames surround Belle...

as the previews for the next DOOL roll...

a bare chested Lucas asks Sami if he can believe she's really changed...

Jennifer's wearing a towel turban and robe as she tells Julie if she can't help her find Jack, she'll find him herself and has a pain in her abdomen as Patrick reaches for her....

Episode #9832
Taped 5/26/04
Director – Steve Wyman

Summary: Sami figures out a way to get Kate, Jennifer insists Jack is returning as Julie, Mickey and Patrick watch as she finally collapses from the stress and lots of Belle, Jan, Philip and Shawn tomorrow for those who care.

AT SAMI'S...Kate came by to say bye to Will (he being sent off to camp too?) who warns her Sami is up to something that Kate might not like. We learn he's referring to Sami and Lucas' relationship getting tighter. Sami surfs for corporate scandals on her laptop as shirtless Lucas comes looking for Will's baseball glove (ok, he looks mighty fine..but c'mon!). (love Ali's new bangs) He sees she's surfing Martha Stewart and knows what she's up to. She claims to just have goals and want to be a successful woman. She uses Kate as an example saying she was also a struggling single mom who got where she is now. To herself she vows to make that bitch come down. She offers him a soda, but only has diet sodas. He hates those and refuses. She pops open her soda as they reflect on past history where she was on death row, etc. Kate walks in and tells Lucas not to believe anything Sami says as she's a pathological liar. Lucas reminds Kate promised to give Sami a chance. He reminds Sami how she wanted to set new future goals. She figures maybe she should just quit her job at BB and find some dead end job to do. Kate jumps at her resignation, but Lucas intervenes asking if Sami means it. Crossing her fingers behind her back, she says she does. Will leaves with high hopes for his family as Kate quietly rants to Lucas she doesn't believe what Sami's saying. She tells him about how she has Philip and Belle working together at BB and admits doing it to bring them together as Sami overhears. (gee, the Marines are awful lenient to give him so much time off like that!) Sami figures a perfect way to get Kate by using the Basic Black Foundation. She pictures Kate being put in the same prison cell as Martha Stewart. Fantasy time as we see the back of someone who looks like Martha doing needlework on her cot. The matron warns Kate that Martha likes a neat cell and hospital corners on the bed. Faux-Martha warns if she doesn't use hospital corners she'll end up in the hospital as the guard warns Kate that for a little thing Martha has a mean bitch slap and laughs. Shaking her fists, Martha orders Kate to start with the toilet. She wants to see her face in it and tells Kate there's a toothbrush over there to use. Kate, still with her hands cuffed together, rushes to the toilet to scrub, saying she was set up. Martha says she was too. Kate hears Sami's laugh from the other room, recognizing it as her mean laugh. Sami rushes off with Will's backpack that he was looking for as Kate gets a chill down her back. She asks Lucas not to let Sami destroy her.

SHAWN continues struggling to escape to save Belle before Jan shoots her. A replay of Philip going down to his car and Jan (who apparently got past the guard in the lobby?) walking in and pointing the gun at Belle. Jan calls Shawn on her cell and tells the answering machine (which he can hear as it's at the foot of his bed) that Belle is at Basic Black having dinner with someone and she will be home soon after she finishes there. Shawn's rage helps give him enough strength to pull his cuffs off and he works on trying to open the cage to get out (hopefully the bathroom will be his FIRST stop, he's driving us crazy!) He gets out, hoping he's not too late. We see him (shirtless still of course) hop on his motorcycle that he found outside and it starts right away.

We see Jan shooting at Belle, but apparently missed as Belle's doing something. Within a couple of minutes Belle manages to cut out and put up a banner saying PHILIP AND BELLE, BEST FRIENDS, BEST FUNDRAISERS with silver spoons that signify their upbringing by the time Philip returns. She comments that they're still able to do this foundation work with their busy school/work/military schedule. Jan tells herself..God help me, this chick SO needs to die (hmm..Jan does have a point sometimes). Later Belle and Philip clink their champagnes glasses as Jan tells herself time to say goodbye Belle. Shawn is in the elevator, beating on the door to open and rushes out just as Jan shoots. He rushes in and tells Philip to hold Jan as he rushes to holds Belle who's shot in the chest. She tells him he's too late and dies in his arms. All of a sudden we're in a hurricane type rewind (remember how Superman flew around the earth a few times to make time go backwards?) and find Shawn is still cuffed to the bed and thinking all of this (oh DAMN, give me that gun Jan, LOL! as we return to Philip and Belle telling each other how wonderful each other is. Jan remembers Shawn's vow to never love her if she hurts Belle and realizes she has to come up with another way to end his love for Belle. She pulls out her camera thinking this is better than Plan A when Shawn realizes Belle has moved on with his best friend already. Belle continues to ask him about the mystery girl. They talk about dancing and we get a flashback of her and Shawn dancing at the school dance. Philip says he doesn't dance well, so Belle urges him to dance with her as she teaches him to dance better. Dancing a slow dance to Shadow of Love (?), Jan clicks pix on her digital. Belle pictures she's dancing with Shawn and wraps her arms around Philip tighter, much to Jan's delight. She stops dancing when she realizes it's just Philip and tells him how wonderful he is and will help him get this mystery woman to fall in love with him. They toast glasses to their new partnership. We return to Shawn struggling, vowing to kill Jan for this. She loads pictures of Philip and Belle eating, anxious to show them to Shawn.

AT JENNIFERS, we see Jennifer rushing out to Patrick saying Jack instant messengered her that he'd be there before the baby is born. Uncle Mickey and Julie arrive to see Jennifer. Julie clues him in on Jennifer's supposed hearing from Jack. They're concerned for Jennifer's health and walk in to hear Jennifer assuring Patrick she did see Jack's message, even though it's not there now. Mickey gives Jennifer a scrapbook album for Abby to put her pictures from camp in. Julie brought homemade brownies that she made from grandma's recipe for Abby to take with her. Jennifer thanks them, but obviously is still zoned in on Jack's return and anxious. They suggest she take a warm bath to relax. She goes upstairs and we see her in her robe close the door with DO NOT DISTURB on it. Later, in her turban and robe, she comes downstairs for tea. She wants to stay busy and vows that Jack WILL be back. Julie figures someone's behind this as Patrick (who's still shirtless) listens. Jen hears a car and figures it's Jack returning home. Patrick goes to check it out. Mickey reminds Jennifer that they sold Jack's car (she heard his pinging engine) and Patrick returns to tell her the garage is empty as Jennifer cries. They are unsuccessful in getting Jennifer to relax and she collapses. Patrick catches her and they call Lexie. Patrick gets the call from the guy behind this, asking what he's doing to Jennifer. The guy tells him that being Patrick didn't do as he was told to, little mommy has to die. Jennifer is pale and still unconscious as Julie and Mickey worry about her while he tries to call Lexie as the credits roll....

Jan straddles Shawn and tells him guess who Belle's getting it on with, his best friend...

Belle tells Philip to tell this mystery girl he's in love with her..he looks up and says “it's you Belle” (I can't believe he'd hold out that long after all her prodding)...

Nicole tells Crystal if she keeps that up, they'll nail her and send her back to prison. Crystal tells her if they do, Nicole's ass will be right next to hers. Nicole said she'll see Crystal dead first.

John is with Tek and asks what Nikki K's accomplice has to do with Shawn. Tek figures it might have something to do with why Shawn's missing.

THURSSDAY, JUNE 10th, 2004

Episode #9833
Taped 5/25/04
Director – Steve Wyman

Summary: Jan tortures Shawn with pictures…Belle and Philip continue to dance around (literally and figuratively)…Lucas sees Sami for what she really is…Crystal puts a tight squeeze on Nicole.

At Sami’s Apartment… Kate tries to convince Lucas that Sami is out to get her as Sami has fantasies of Kate and “Martha” in jail and giggles. Kate and Lucas hear her as Kate swears she is up to no good. Then Sami has a fantasy of Kate being arrested for embezzling funds from the Basic Black Foundation (in front of Philip, Lucas and Belle, with all of them turning on her). Sami announces she is changing the name of the company to “Samantha’s Secret”. Back to reality, Sami asks Lucas to take Will over to Grandpa Shawn’s, she has work to do and retreats to her room. Kate and Lucas argue over Sami’s intentions, with Lucas defending her tooth and nail, saying that they are ready to be a family and wants Kate to be a part of that family. He begs Kate to give her a chance.

At Basic Black…Philip and Belle continue their evening as Belle continues to press him to reveal the name of the mystery girl. (Oh come on…just how dense is she?) He says “It’s you Belle”, but that seems to go right over her head as she starts talking about Shawn. She tells him that she is determined to help him and this girl work things out. She chatters about losing Shawn and how he hurt her and Philip says no way any guy could not love her. He holds her as she cries on his shoulder. She apologizes but he says that there is no one he would rather be with. He offers to take her home and they go by way of the docks. He puts his jacket over her shoulders and hugs her. She has a light bulb moment and tells Phillip that she has an iea of just how to get Shawn back and hugs him.

Meanwhile…Jan returns to Shawn with him demanding to know what she did to Belle. She tells him that she didn’t kill her, because she doesn’t love Shawn anymore. He doesn’t believe her but she takes off her trench coat and reveals a black leather mini skirt and black lace bra. She progresses to sing, prance and dance around singing that Belle doesn’t love him anymore and she has proof. She calls Belle a selfish, spoiled bitch that has moved on. She crawls on top of him, telling him that Belle is getting it on with his best friend Philip. She asks him if he wants popcorn while they watch the show and proceeds to download the photos to her laptop and show them to him. He insists that they are just friends, but she continues to show him pictures and taunt him, telling him that Belle doesn’t miss him one bit.

At the Blue Note…Crystal and Nicole continue to argue in the “ladies?” room (lol) as Crystal assures her that John will get nothing on her. John lifts the glass with her fingerprints, explaining to Brady that he believes that Crystal is Nicole’s accomplice. He is going to check to see if they match the ones found in the mansion. Crystal and Nicole return as Crystal and John continue their flirting. She wants to go back to his place, but he takes a rain check. Nicole questions Brady as to what John is up to, but he tells her nothing. Crystal asks Brady if he thinks that John would do a porno flick with her, then Nicole drags her off, calling her a bimbo. She tells her that John only wants ONE thing from her and that is to see her in prison. They argue (call each other a bitch) and Crystal tells her if she goes, Nicole’s ass will rot right beside her there. They all go home as Crystal tells Nicole she WILL have John Black. Nicole reminds her that John is ISA and that he will find out about her involvement with Marlena’s death (Crystal has a flashback of knocking out Marlena if you didn’t see it the first time). They go to Nicole’s room, still arguing, as Crystal accuses Nicole of just being jealous (what a couple of idiots). But Nicole tries to convince her that John is only after her to convict Nicole. She explains that John thinks maybe Crystal was her accomplice in killing Victor. Then she talks about getting mixed up with crazy women. She tells her about crazy Jan and how she has kidnapped Shawn. She begs Crystal to get out of town, but Crystal puts the squeeze on her, wanting more money as she paws through Nicole’s jewelry. Later, we see Crystal with Nicole’s credit cards and thanking Nicole.

John goes to the cop shop…where he meets up with Tek and Ray Diaz, the assistant DA. He offers he condolences about Marlena and John tells him despite the evidence, he feels that his wife was innocent and he intends to prove it. After Ray leaves, John gives Tek the glass to run the finger prints. Later, he says there was no match with the ones at the mansion. John tells him about Crystal Galore’s past and Tek says he will check into it.

Later at the Blue Note… Sami is sitting there when Ray comes in. They talk and she finds out what he does and begins to question him about cases like “Martha’s” and how much evidence it would take to make a conviction. Kate and Lucas walk in and see them cozied up at the bar as Kate tells Lucas to get used to it, Sami will just break his heart. As they take a table, Kate continues to bad-mouth Sami as Lucas keeps one eye on her. Sami and Ray continue to flirt as Kate and Lucas watch (he invites Sami back to his place to see his “briefs”). Lucas tells Kate that Sami isn’t going to hurt him anymore.

John goes to the mansion… and talks to Brady and tells him about Crystal’s prints not matching. Tek calls him, telling him that he has something on Crystal. John tells Brady that he just found out that Crystal WAS involved in killing his wife…as the previews roll…

On the Next Days of our Lives…

Bonnie (to Mickey): Okay Mister, are you ready? Mickey: It’s been a long time. Bonnie: It will be amazing…I am sure of it…

Belle (to Philip): A girl would be crazy to turn you down…just promise me you will talk to her, okay?…

Ray (to Lucas): And who are you? Lucas: Should I tell him Sami, or should you do the honors?…

John (to Brady): Nicole’s friend is a criminal…while Marlena was incarcerated, so was Crystal Galore…

…and the credits roll…

NO SHOW DUE TO COVERAGE OF PRESIDENT REAGAN'S FUNERAL ..FRIDAY, JUNE 11, 2004
WEEK OF JUNE 14, 2004<p> MONDAY, JUNE 14, 2004

Episode #9834
Taped 5/27/04
Director – Herb Stein

SUMMARY: Philip/Belle, Lucas/Kate/Sami & Nicole/Crystal have the same go rounds they have been having all week, while Bonnie’s plans for Mickey become more apparent, and our beloved Maggie shows up at Marlena’s faux penthouse apt.

PHILIP & BELLE are on the docks when Belle gets a bright idea about how to find Shawn and calls Daddy on her cell. No luck, not even ringing, and she cannot imagine why it is turned off. Meanwhile at the Blue Note, Sami is still encouraging Ray to tell her all about the latest white collar crime he has been investigating. As he talks, she has a fantasy to go with his words, using Kate, John, Belle, Tek, etc. Ray talks about a woman who had a bad life, pulled herself up the corporate ladder, but was eventually caught embezzling funds the corporation has marked for charities. Instead she funneled all the money to herself. Millions. Got caught when the boss’s over achieving daughter was put in charge of the charity division. Went to jail, reputation ruined. (Oh, puleeze….you should see Sami’s eyes sparkle at all this…..just such a perfect fit, huh?)

Kate & Lucas continue talking of Sami, who obviously is flirting with Ray big time. Kate tries to discourage Lucas in re: Sami, and moans of her mistakes with men….Curtis, Stefano, Bill Horton……and she must have passed that gene onto Lucas. She encourages him to move on with his life. Ray wants Sami to go to his apt. but she puts him off, wanting to know more about his work, then they could have time just for each other later. When he finishes his tale, she kisses him on both cheeks. Kate & Lucas see this, as does Phlip & Belle who have just arrived. Lucas goes over, pulls Sami aside, & they argue. She tries to wiggle out, but Lucas will have none of it, and gives her an ultimatum….It is either him or Ray. Meanwhile Kate is arguing with Philip, urging him to tell Belle how he feels about her. (ho, hum, how many times are we gonna see and hear these conversations) Belle comes up, hearing the tail end of the conversation, and also adds her two cents, telling Phil to tell the girl he loves her.

MICKEY & JULIE ARE ON THE PHONEto each other. Julie is at the hospital pay phone, while Mickey is at home, looking for Jennifer’s health insurance card from the Horton Foundation. Julie promises to let him know how Jen is doing as soon as Lexie lets her know. He hangs up, looking at Maggie’s picture. Outside, Bonnie sees him thru the window, not liking that at all. She breezes in, having picked up his rhinestone cowboy outfit for the grand opening of Alice’s Bar (so it IS gonna open, I am gonna be sick….lol) along with his dry cleaning. She mentions the casserole she left in the oven for him yesterday. Unfortunately, it is still there…..yuk. He thanks her, and she flashes back to getting it from the freezer – something Maggie had made before she died – and worries that there is not too many meals left there (Oh, brother!), & remembers pouring some booze from her handy little flask over it. (She is truly a piece of work!)
Mickey wants to go to the hospital with Jen’s insurance card, but she talks him into staying, and trying on his cowboy suit. He leaves the room, and she calls out for Chinese food at the same time Julie is trying to call Uncle Mickey from the hospital. Aha, they get connected to each other, with Bonnie thinking she is talking to Mrs. Chow (Julie’s expressions are priceless here). She says she is Bonnie Lockhart, soon to be Mrs. Horton. She places an order for 1 poo poo platter, slippery shrimp, 2 egg rolls, and 2 orders of triple X fortune cookies. She then says to tell the delivery boy not to be surprised if he hears fireworks when he arrives, as it will just be a cowboy breakin’ in his filly. Julie has barely said a word and hangs up, livid. Bonnie takes a swig from her bottomless flask, as Mickey comes in, all decked out in the cowboy suit. (what is that saying, no fool like an old fool! Sorry, Mickey, I just hate to see you taken in like this). Mickey has called the hospital, & Jennifer is fine, resting easy. In the other room, Julie arrives, hearing some country music, and very, very suggestive conversation from Bonnie. She is appalled, and tho she doesn’t want to, feels she has to break this up and go in. She covers her eyes and goes in, saying Stop, Stop. LOL, as Bonnie is teaching Mickey the Texas two step. Uncle Mickey hollers at her, Julie apologizes and begin to leave. She turns around, telling “Mrs. Horton” not to expect her poo poo platter….and that yes, she heard all her plans for snagging Mickey. LOL now, as it’s Bonnie’s turn to be caught with her hand in the cookie jar.

ON THE BALCONY OF HER LOOKALIKE PENTHOUSE apt., Marlena is reading aloud from a journal she is keeping. She talks of being in her almost exact replica apt., of being a prisoner, of missing her loved ones. Someone walks up behind her, carrying a machete (!!!) & it is Maggie. They both laugh and cry and hug, so glad to see each other, as Maggie says to Marlena..”Welcome to our Fantasy Island”. They very briefly mention Marlena’s bludgeoning of Maggie on Halloween (now would you not think Marlena would ask if it really happened, if she recovered or it was imagination, or something or other like that. Aarrgh!) Maggie says she & Jack had gone into the jungle, with Jack cutting paths. They got separated, & now……as the city changes, so do the points of entry. Jack may not find his way back. Marlena says he is smart and resourceful, then tells Maggie Jennifer may be coming, and explains how her name appeared on the plaque on their house. They talk of their loved ones, and Maggie emotionally talks of Mickey, and how much she thinks of him, and wants to find their out to reunite. But that their loved ones think they are dead, and they cannot think with hope like the islanders. She worries about Mickey not having anyone to cook, remember his doctor appts. Etc, and Marlena does mention Bonnie. (Cannot WAIT to see a Maggie/Bonnie face off, lolol) Maggie sort of shrugs off mention of Bonnie, and saying she can just see Mickey now, probably sitting in his recliner, listening to classical music. (This is where the scene shifts to Mickey coming out dressed in the cowboy suit, with country music playing in the background – and about to begin dancing)

b>NICOLE & CRYSTAL are having the same ol argument as always. Nik wants Crystal outta town, has bought a ticket to the Caymans. Crystal wants to stay & get her hooks into John. Meanwhile, John is telling shirtless Brady how Crystal was in jail at same time as Marlena. (Wonder if Old Navy or the Gap would take pity on the men of Days and send some shirts. Obviously, budget cuts are responsible for these guys to have nothing to wear, and to constantly be half naked at the most inappropriate times) Brady doesn’t have an ounce of common sense left in his poor head, as he STILL is defending Nicole. John tells him that he is determined to find the connection between Nicole, Crystal & Marlena, saying it is no co-incidence that Crystal gets out of jail right after Marlena was killed and shows up on Nik’s doorstep. Crystal & Nicole come in, & John confronts Crystal, telling her he has her records from jail, and knows she was in the lockup w/Marlena when the inmate was killed. Crystal tries to squirm out, to no avail…but then says she can’t take it any more. She confesses. It was because of her that Marlena is dead……..AND the previews for the next episode show……..

Marlena crying to Roman, as he holds her….Poor John, if only there was some way he could know I’m alive

Crystal telling John, as Brady & Nicole look on…..that Marlena got hold of a gun and was planning on coming after you….she wanted you dead.

Belle asking Sami if anything they talked about has registered. Sami replies “Why should I take advice from you anyway. How do you think Shawn would feel if he saw you with Philip all the time”

Jen gasping, as she brings her hands up over her mouth. A voice is saying Jennifer, and she says “It IS you! (I think she may be looking at her computer)

Episode #9835
Taped 5/28/04
Director – Phil Sogard

Summary: Roman tries to get Marlena to remember details of her “death”…Jen continues to get signs from Jack…John puts Crystal on the spot, but she surprises everyone…Lucas is distraught over Sami’s latest actions…Kate and John comfort each other. A couple of odd things in the credits…Abe Carver is listed as “Abe Craver”…the mystery guy that Patrick is mixed up with is listed as “Mystery Guy” (lol)…and a choreographer is listed in the credits..must have to do with the opening of Alice’s Bar.

On the Island…Marlena and Roman are on her fake terrace as we learn he has been staying there (in the guest room). She shows him the journal she is keeping as he asks her to remember events right before she “died”. She chuckles about him being in cop mode, even there. He asks if anything stands out to her as odd on her final day. Through flashbacks, she remembers Crysting waking her up and taking her to the rooftop, the whacking her with the gun. She tells Roman that someone wanted her dead. She tells him how everyone at the jail was against her, but Crystal befriended her and how odd it seemed. We get more flashbacks of on the roof, with almost the entire sequence of her getting shot. She tears up, talking about John’s agony and how he tried to save her. She hugs Roman as she cries, wishing there was some way she could let him know that she is still alive. They both wonder who Crystal could have been working for…their host or someone else. Abe shows up as they talk about Jack getting out. He says he found evidence in Salem Place that maybe Jack didn’t make it out alive and shows them Jack’s torn and bloody knapsack. Marlena tells them about Jen’s high-risk pregnancy and they all fear that Jennifer may be the next one to show up there.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…John presses Crystal for information and she says she confesses…Marlena’s death was her fault. She killed her…with kindness. John grabs her and forcefully sits her down on the sofa and wants answers. She explains that she recognized Marlena in jail, but she was so different than she remembered. She says that she snapped and killed Tina. She says the other inmates ganged up on her and she defended her, reaching out to her. She tells him that the others were fighting over her ring. John then has flashbacks of his last meeting with Marlena and them talking about her ring. John is furious with Crystal, but she says that Marlena says she was dead long before that. She says that John killed her when he betrayed her, according to what Marlena told her. She says that she was upset and that somehow she got hold of a gun and was going to break out of jail and kill John. Nicole says it all makes sense, but John doesn’t believe it. He says someone LED her to the rooftop and he vows to find the truth. He has heard enough and storms out, followed by (still shirtless) Brady. Outside, John tells him to GET OUT of that house now, but he refuses. John asks if he is blind to what is going on but he says he still has no proof that Nicole is guilty. John says he is just like his mother and leaves. Inside, Nicole congratulates Crystal on her performance as she says she was inspired by ‘Pulp Fiction’. She assures Niki she has more tricks where that came from. Nicole spies Brady through the window and thinks he is all she needs.

Still at the Blue Note…Belle and Kate urge Philip to go after the mystery girl. Meanwhile, Sami tries to convince Lucas that she is only doing research and he misunderstood. But Sami can’t wiggle her way out of this one. She finally says she will go with Lucas, but has to finish here first. But Lucas has had enough and storms out. (Philip follows to make sure he is okay). Belle apologizes to Kate for Sami’s behavior and Kate leaves. Sami goes back about her business of flirting with Ray and pumping him for more info. When he suggests they go back to his place, she informs him that she needs to stop by the pharmacy to pick up her antibiotics and leads him to believe that she has a STD. Well he rushes out of there like he is going to a fire as she giggles. Belle walks up and chastises her for what she just did and hurting Lucas. Sami turns the tables and asks how would Shawn feel if he knew she was spending all her time with Philip. (yeah Belle). Belle insists they are just friends but Sami thinks that Philip is putting the moves on her. Belle urges Sami to make up with Lucas, for they are destined to be together. Belle says something about work which piques Sami’s curiosity, so she starts pumping her about the Basic Black Foundation. Before Belle leaves, she asks Sami to promise to work things out with Lucas. She says she will…then thinks AFTER she buries his “mad cow of a mother”.

Lucas Goes Home and is packing up Will’s things (Philip is there trying to help him) as Kate shows up as well. Kate starts trashing Sami, but Lucas stops her. Philip says it is clear that he loves Sami. Lucas agrees, but says it is over. Kate wants to comfort him, as Philip offers to hang with him too. Lucas says he can’t help it, Sami is under his skin…and Philip can identify. He goes to get Will’s fishing pole as Philip and Kate talk about her missing Roman. She decides to go back to the office and leaves as Philip pulls out a picture of Belle and stares at it. Later, Philip is gone and Lucas is there alone. He wanders around the apartment and picks up the picture of him, Sami and Will on the camping trip. He stars at it, then throws his glass up against the wall.

Kate goes down to the docks, thinking about Roman. She remembers Philips’ words, asking if she would ever all in love again. She says only if it is someone like Roman. She turns and finds John there. John tells her about what happened at the mansion and asks her if she thinks he betrayed Marlena. Kate says no, Marlena confessed, he had no choice and reminds him that he was there with Marlena until the bitter end and did all he could for her. She talks about how he reminds her of Roman. She hugs him and tells him that he did nothing wrong.

Speaking of Jen…Lexie accompanies her home from the hospital as Patrick is there to offer his support. Lex asks her about her supposed contact with Jack and Jen is adamant about it. Patrick goes to get her something to eat so she can take her meds and comes back with a piece of chocolate cake. She throws it in the floor, saying it is Jack’s birthday cake. HUGE editing mistake here as the next scene, he is handing it to her AGAIN and she sits it down on the table (LOL), asking Patrick where he got the cake. He tells her that it was on the kitchen counter and a piece was already cut. She admits she placed the order a long time ago, after he raved about that cake last year. She also notes that the frosting has been eaten off…something that only Jack would do (no way Jen…I do that too ;-) They think that maybe it was Abby, so Lex goes up to check on her, but she is asleep. Jen assures them that she is NOT crazy. As Lexie leaves, Patrick walks her out. She asks him to keep an eye on Jen and he promises to do so. After Lexie leaves, he watches Jennifer and remembers what the mystery guy said about Jen dying. He says they will have to kill him first. Jen sleeps on the sofa as he is asleep in the chair beside her. She wakes up, hearing someone call her name. She thinks it is Patrick at first, but sees that he is asleep. She goes over to her computer and hits a few keys, as she hears her name again. She gasps, covering her mouth and says “Oh my Gosh…it IS you!”…and the credits roll…

On the Next Days of Our Lives…

Bonnie (to Mickey) I want to give you a special ride…guaranteed to change your life…

Shawn tells Jan that Belle is NOT in love with Philip as she holds up a picture of them, saying that Belle is two-timing slut and here is the proof…

Belle asks Philip…”So, are you in love with me or what?”

Patrick gives Jen a note and she reads it…she says “Oh my gosh…this is terrible”…

As the credits roll…

Episode #9836
Taped 5/29/04
Director – Albert Alarr

On the island, Doug, Maggie & Alice talk of home, while back in Salem, Bonnie & Mickey hang out at the about to be opened “Alice’s Bar”, Jen hears once more from Jack, (with a nice surprise for the J&J fans) & the young crowd has a lot of of the same ol conversation as always. Yawwwnnn, zzzz! BTW, for those paying attention, the last few days, the DOOL theme music is the old arrangment.

DOUG, ALICE & MAGGIE are looking through a photo album, amazed that the person behind the “island” has been so thorough. The photo replicas even include one Doug & Julie sent Alice whle on their very last cruise. Maggie spots one of the opening at Tuscany, and talks of her wonderful Mickey, & wonders about Tuscany being closed. Doug mentions it being opened for Kate & Roman’s wedding, & then tells of the Valentine’s party for family & friends where both Julie & Bonnie thought they were hosting and got into it. Maggie is surprised at Bonnie’s name, being it was her cleaning woman. Doug tells of how Bonnie & Julie got into it when Bonnie brought in the bulls’ horns…..and Maggie is indignant, because Tuscany has always been about fine china, crystal, quality linens & art. (Ohhh, I cannot wait for Maggie to confront Bonnie!) Maggie does remember, tho, how Bonnie was always into that southern country charm (lol, leave it to Maggie to call it charm!). Both Doug & Alice say that when they left Salem (THEY LEFT SALEM????? Boy!) the restaurant was still closed, tho Julie wanted to run it for Mickey. Maggie goes to get some tea (ahhh, the Salem tea still exists…….even on the island!). While she is out of the room, Doug tells Alice how Julie thinks Bonnie has set her sights on Mickey.

MEANWHILE, AT ALICE’S BAR Bonnie is gloating over her grand opening, the fact she has her liquor license, everything is a go, and all due to Mickey. She thanks him, planting a big, juicy kiss on him. She then decides they need to celebrate, and fixes each of them a drink (boy, how I hate that Bonnie is constantly encouraging Mickey to drink, even spiking his hot chocolates or iced teas). She has a new take on the old shot and a beer calling it a depth charge. She assures Mickey this is better than that old stuff Maggie had in her wine cellar, and mentions how she could not believe the big price that celebrity chef paid for the contents. She made a killing on it. Now she is through with that snooty cuisine, and is gonna have good ol chuckwagon fare, with metal plates & sturdy glasses you could crack a nut with. She is serving burgers, fries, & beans, & chili and the only sauce will be over the chicken fried steak, nothing but good ol fashioned country cooking. (You can just SEE arteries clogging up as she recites all these goodies, lolol) Bonnie assures Mickey that Maggie would be thrilled the place was not gathering dust. She then takes him for a ride on the mechanical bull. (guess it is fixed now! )

JEN COMES DOWNSTAIRS IN HER ROBE, letting Patrick in, who came over to fix her breakfast. She is appalled she overslept, yelling for Abby who has missed her ride for camp. Patrick finds a note that Abby left for her mom. She has gone, loves her, & tells her to send cookies. Jen feels guilty, but Patrick assures her Abby is fine. She is upset she cannot ask Abby about eating the frosting on the piece of cake, & talks of her strong belief that Jack is alive. Patrick tries to talk her out of it, mentioning Jack dying in her arms, the wake, burial (hmmm, did not even mention the organ donation! Lol). He goes to make breakfast, and she sits down in front of the computer. A message comes in almost immediately (amazing, huh?) saying……Jennifer, it’s Jack. I am alive and I want you to come to me. Cue some really weird music here.
Patrick calls his mystery man, wanting to know why he is gaslighting Jennifer. The guy says it is none of Patrick’s business, and that since he will not help, they are taking care of things themselves. Patrick says her husband is dead and she is pregnant, and you will hurt her over my dead body.
Jennifer talks into her mike, asking the person to prove they are Jack, and the message comes back to “open this file”. She does….and gasps, as it opens to their wedding vows. And we now get a black & white flashback to Jack & Jen’s 2nd wedding and Jack reciting those vows….the ones from their lst wedding. Folks, this scene was cut from Jack & Jen’s wedding last year, much to the dismay of many of the viewing audience……but we now get to see it. Jack starts out with the lst few lines, about the long road….Jen joins in for a couple lines….and he tells the guests how these were Jennifer’s vows from their lst wedding, and he thought them appropriate here. Oh, man, it is sooooo good to just SEE Jack! Jack finishes reading them…..and back to the present. Jen is now convinced it is Jack on the computer. She asks what she should do….and the message says….go to the old airfield outside of town. A private plane will pick you up. 9 o’clock sharp. Don’t be late. She starts to pack and we see a flashback to the scene we JUST SAW!
Patrick hangs up the phone, and rushes to find Jennifer. He dashes to her bedroom, sees her packing, tells her to stop – she’s not going anywhere.

IT IS ALSO EARLY MORNING FOR THE YOUNG COUPLES (makes one wonder how come Bonnie & Mickey are drinking shots & beers!). Shirtless Rex looks out the window at the parking lot below, as Mimi comes up behind him. He mentions Philip’s car being in Belle’s parking space all night. Mimi makes excuses, but Rex is concerned, and they argue about Philip’s attentions to Belle. Over at Belle’s, she comes downstairs in her robe, greeting a shirtless Philip, who has spent the night on the sofa. She thanks him for spending the night, as he begins talk of getting an apt. She knows he is still with the Marines, and not being discharged yet, but seems he has a lot of accumulated leave (don’t know how since he is ALWAYS in Salem, and not at the base) and so wants to get himself an apt. He looks thru the want ads, but Belle gets a brilliant idea and asks him to move in with her. Mimi is always at Rex’s, but works 2 jobs to pay the rent, and he could rent her half. (LOL, yep, the summer belongs to the teens all right, guess there has to be some excuse for Philip to be around all the time).
Rex & Mimi arrive, and Rex is not happy about Philip being there. Belle asks Mimi if she would like to rent out her half of the place. Mimi is delighted, and agrees. When she asks who is moving in, Philip pipes up that it is him. Now Rex is really upset. Mimi pulls Philip aside & questions that it is o.k. for him. Rex talks to Belle, who assures him that she & Philip are just platonic friends. (zzzz)

Jan comes in telling Shawn it is laundry day, and while she washes his clothes, he can take a shower. (Don’t tell me he FINALLY gets to go to the bathroom!) She unlocks his leg chains, but shackles them to that long, long chain. She then goes outside the cage, locks it, and goes to the other side, unlocking his wrists. He goes into the shower, she offers to help him with the parts he cannot reach, but he declines. She leaves, he attempts to get the leg chain undone. She tiptoes back in, opens the shower door, asking what he is doing. He goes after her, saying give me the keys. She falls, he reaches her, & we see the keys in her hand. (ho, hum!) & the previews for the next day show……

Lucas to Sami – Congratulations! – We’re gonna break our son’s heart.

John to Kate……There will never be another woman like Marlena in my life. Kate says…and what are we gonna do the rest of our lives

Jennifer to Patrick ………Are you interested in me?

Belle & Philip are in bed together, obviously naked. Belle says….Making love with you has changed everything in my life. Philip says …..moving in together was a good idea. Belle replies ….Best idea ever. (wanna bet this is another fantasy for Phil?)

Episode #: 9837
Tape date: 6/2/04
Director: Herb Stein

Summary: Sami, Lucas and Will spar about their family relationship, John and Kate bond at Basic Black, Julie and Bonnie are at it again, as are Phillip and Belle, and Jan and Shawn. Patrick wants to know why Jennifer is packing her bags.

Sami bangs on Lucas' door. When the smoke alarm goes off, she panics about fire and tries to break down the door, only to fall into Lucas' arms. He was taking a shower and the steam set off the alarm. Will is out. Sami points out that Lucas forgot a towel (*SWOON*) and he counters that it fell off when some mad woman started banging on his door (LOL). She asks if he is going to hide behind the toaster all day and he says no and tells her to leave. Sami came looking for Will, who said there was an emergency. She thought there was a fire and wanted to save Will. When she admits being upset Will is going to camp, he tells her to find a bar and some guy to kiss on. She is hurting Will and he can't trust her. She says she has plans to be so busy making herself so good at business as to make Kate look like the two-bit hooker she is. She has a black and white fantasy movie about the fall of Kate for embezzling funds and her renaming the business Samantha's Secret. Lucas says he broke up with Sami, can't she at least pretend to be upset?. He wanted a future. Will walks in and demands that his mother answer. Does she want them to be happy or not? She chastises Will for telling a lie about the emergency and tells him to grow up about it. He says, "As soon as you do." He will be gone all summer, so she won't have to listen to him. He is sleeping at Josh's in order to get to the bus on time, because Mom and Dad like to sleep in. He orders them to be nice to each other and see what happens. Lucas and Sami are going to the party, but not together. Tells Will it is between them and tease him about camp until he leaves. He tells them not to drive each other too crazy. After he is gone, Lucas congratulates Sami on breaking their son's heart. She insists it is not her fault that he took some stupid little kiss and blew it out of proportion. Since there will be no Will for the entire summer, they don't have to talk. She will see him in September and storms out.

AT Alice's, Julie tells Mickey and Bonnie that her grandmother must be turning over in her grave over what has happened to Mickey and Tuscany. She doesn't like the so-called food from Bonnie's so-called chef. Mickey tells Julie that Bonnie is a huge tex-mex fan. Julie thinks all are soused. When an alarm goes off, Bonnie rushes for a fire extinguisher since the hot tamale must have gotten a little too hot. As lots of banging noises come from the kitchen, Julie mutters, "Let the disaster begin!" Apparently the commotion in the kitchen was because the chef passed out from a pitcher of margaritas. Julie puts in her pitch to run the restaurant as befitting Maggie. Bonnie insists her restaurant is not tacky and attacks Julie. Mickey asks Julie to cook for the party tonight. Julie claims, "Not on your saddle sore." Bonnie insists that she doesn't need Miss Hoity-Toity to cook for her. Mickey takes Julie aside and basically lays on the guilt so thick you can slice it, about how this benefit is for the Horton Foundation, in memory of Alice, Maggie, Doug and Addie. Mickey knows that Julie's feelings were hurt when he chose Bonnie, but Julie was planning to travel the world with Doug. When Mickey tells her to think about the staff and everyone else depending on the place, she finally caves, but it will be her way; her cooking will prove that she should have been running the place.

AT The Loft, A shirtless Phillip enters to find Belle with some kind of ticket in her hand and a plan to get Shawn back, but she won't tell him until she is sure it will work. She knows what happened to her mom and the rest, but the not knowing with Shawn is getting to her. Phil reassures her that she is still grieving and her feelings are normal. He thinks maybe moving in is not the best idea. Phillip's moving in is keeping Belle sane. She usually has Mimi to vent on, but she spends most of her time with Rex and Belle misses her. He has to move in because she needs the friendship. They discuss how John's grieving, too, and he really needs a friend, too. Belle is upset her dad is incommunicado. She wants to discuss her plan with him. Phillip offers to help her in any way he can, but she just wants his friendship. She sleeps better with him there (LOL at his comment about being the human sleeping pill). He asks how Shawn would feel if he came back and found Phillip living with Belle.

Belle tries to help Phillip with a box and spills it. He has a fantasy of the two of them in bed together. (LOL at Belle in fantasy: "Am I dreaming?") She wants him to share what he was thinking that made him smile. He says moving in feels right. As he goes for more stuff, she continues picking up books. She finds a yearbook photo of her and Shawn. She says something to the book and leaves. Camera pans in on a picture of Jan (new Jan) in the yearbook. Phillip comes back to the empty loft with another box, and shouts at Belle that she can help spill this one too (lol). When he finds her gone, he picks up the yearbook that was sitting on the coffee table and when he sees Jan's picture, he is glad she is gone. He goes to close the book, but stops and looks at it again.

In the love nest, Shawn is chasing Jan. When she falls, he reaches for the keys in her hand. She gets away, slams the door in his face and taunts him about being her personal boy toy. She comes back and offers Shawn a bag of clothes. She wants to look at his hot body, but doesn't want him catching cold. He asks for real clothes, but his have been trashed because they were 'too baggy'. The ones in the bag are way too small. She tells him to where them or go naked, she doesn't care either way. After they spar about the clothes that really are too small for Shawn, Jan insists that when he realizes that he doesn't want to remain faithful to Belle, he will want her. He insists his parents and Belle will never stop searching for him. Looking at pictures of Belle and Phillip taped to the cage, Shawn reminds himself that they are just friends, she still loves him. He is shocked to hear Belle at Jan's door. He yells at Belle, but she doesn't hear him. He can see her back through a cracked door.

Meanwhile, over at Basic Black, John is working on the computer when Kate comes in with coffee, chastising him for his all-nighter. He is trying to find answers to why Marlena died. Kate sympathizes and tells of her waking up at night in tears from remembering her wedding to Roman. What will he do if he doesn't find his answers? John thinks it is a coincidence Crystal Galore was in jail when Marlena was murdered and then showed up at Nicole's door immediately after. However, he has testimony from a guard that Crystal was in lockdown, meaning she had no means or opportunity. This leads Kate to thoughts of Roman investigating the serial killer. It is harder that they don't know why these things have happened. John tells Kate he really needed someone to talk to about the loss, anger and all of it. Kate mentions how people say they understand, but they really don't unless they' ve been through it. She brings up Phillip and Belle getting closer. John doesn't think Shawn deserves Belle. He thinks Phillip and Belle make a good couple. Kate wants her sons to be happy and is glad that Lucas is getting wise to Sami. Her sons and her job are what Kate lives for now. Roman was not John's greatest friend, but he admired him. John invites Kate to the opening for Alice's, and, after much discussion on why they should go together, she finally agrees to go and to hell with what everyone thinks.

A bathrobed Jennifer reads a Valentine from Jack as she flashes back to the message on the computer about meeting the private plane at the airstrip at 9:00, don't tell anyone and don't be late. She starts packing in a rush when Patrick comes in (with a shirt on!) He says he won't let Jen leave, as he reaches for the clothes in her hand and ends up ripping her Valentine, which puts her in tears. Jen tries to put card back together. Patrick doesn't want her to pack to go to Jack. She claims it is a bag to take to hospital for labour. He admits he made the wrong connection, but he thought it was because of her 'communications' from Jack. Jen insists it is Jack that is communicating with her. Why would someone trick her and how would they know the intimate details? Patrick confesses to holding back on the truth - he is worried about her. She has been so brave and it has been so hard and stressful for her. He thinks the idea of Jack being alive is too hard on her. She insists it is the only thing that is not hard. She is edgy because Celeste claimed that she and baby won't survive. She is trying to prepare Abby. He says she has changed him. He grew up in a house with no discussion, mostly yelling. Her talking to Abby and about her grandmother opened up a new world to him. He can't stand to lose her. She wants to know if he is interested in her. He insists he is just her friend, and for once he is not thinking of himself. He won't stand by and let her be deceived. There will be no magic reunion with her dead husband. She is adamant that if there is a chance he is alive, she needs to be with him for herself, Abby and the baby. She is sure that no one else could have sent that message. If she won't protect herself, he will do it for her. Jen explains to Patrick how she can't be going anywhere. She will finish packing her hospital bag while he takes shower. When he closes the door, she apologizes to Patrick, but she is still going to meet Jack. Jen sneaks out to her car with her suitcase, still in her bathrobe. Patrick, fresh from the shower, (with no shirt), catches her and demands to know if she is in labour, or is she is trying to go to Jack.

FRIDAY, JUNE 18th, 2004
Episode #: 9838
Tape Date: 6/2/04
Director: Steve Wyman

Summary: Hokey, but fun, scenes at the grand opening of Alice's as new relationships may be forming in Salem; Jen still plots to make a run to meet Jack later; Jan tries to fool Shawn once again

AT ALICES RESTAURANT.. Bonnie worries that even though Julie's a gourmet cook (knew she ate and operated classy restaurants, but don't remember her on the cooking end of it), Julie vows to class the restaurant up with elegant appetizers. Bonnie daydreams about getting Woman of the Year award from Salem Style Magazine after launching her singing career from Alice's. She thanks her new hubby, “Mickey Money Bags Horton”, for helping her get this award. He joins her on stage and Bonnie finds something on her shoe and calls for the hired help..Julie..to clean it off after shooing Mickey off his knees when he tried to clean it first. Julie comes out in a plain outfit and hairstyle and cleans her shoe. Back to reality she runs for the kitchen to check on what Julie's making. Intentionally spilling something on Julie's white smock, she sees what Julie's cooking up and decides to spice it up a bit. Pouring chili powder, jalepenos and hot sauce in, as well as tons of onions and half a bottle of tequila, she stirs the pot. Wiping tears from her eyes from the onions, she laughs saying whoever said “Revenge is a dish best served Cold” is wrong.

Rex and Mimi, in matching black and white outfits, head out to Alice's from the loft. He hopes to get the drink recipes right and concerned about Philip's moving in with Belle. They run into Philip in the hallway as he totes his MARINES trunk on his shoulder. (hey all you service people, need some time off? Apparently you just put a leave slip in and no problem). John and Kate are in Belle's Loft and surprised to learn Philip's moving in while on temporary leave. Kate's pleased of course. Belle announces a new plan to get Shawn home soon. She saw posters that Salem Speedway was going to have a NASCAR race and one of their high school friends works there. She knows Shawn never misses a NASCAR race on tv (hmm, must be when we don't see him as they rarely watch tv on the show) and wants to have John pull strings to get her on the telecast. John asks for time alone with Belle. Kate asks to speak with Philip as Rex and Mimi head over to Alice's. John can do what Belle wants, but asks if Shawn deserves it. He explodes, saying what happened to Marlena has been all over the news and Shawn never returned as Belle pleads for his help. He agrees on one condition. That if this doesn't work, she had to forget Shawn and move on with her life (guess the theory he's in trouble and not calling home occurred to him?) When Belle gets a pouty lower lip at that comment, he hugs her and suggests she get ready for tonight's grand opening.

BACK AT ALICE'S...Jen and Patrick arrive as Julie worries about Jennifer's health. (yeah, a HIGH risk pregnancy and life threatening warning to me would have me a little more cautious too) as Jen fills Julie in on the latest clues about Jack's return. Without telling Jen she's worried about her, Julie excuses herself and tells Mickey that she thinks Jennifer is losing it. He agrees to go talk with Jennifer and does so as Bonnie cheerfully dances out of the kitchen. Mickey calmly tells Jen that Jack and Maggie are both gone and she needs to focus on the baby. She promises to do so. After he goes to find Bonnie, Jennifer tells herself (Jack) it'll only be a few more hours.

Julie realizes what probably happened. Mimi recognizes Bonnie's guilty look as Bonnie assures her she's about to set the world on fire. Julie takes a taste from the pot and rushes to the sink and grabs the overhead faucet to drink from, vowing Bonnie will pay for this.

Patrick gets a cell call from the mystery guy (who's lurking in the bushes outside). He orders the guy to stay away from Jennifer. Bonnie takes Rex's shirt off, saying THAT'S what bartenders should wear and keep the woman coming back for more drinks as he arrives to work.

Julie wheels out a cart with her French cuisine in a serving dish. She tells Bonnie she knows she's doctored it up and after everyone gets a taste of it and writhe on the floor, the place will go bust in a week...and she's not referring to Bonnie's basketball bodice (LOL). They agree to let Mickey taste the dish first and Julie spoons out the bowl to Mickey. He opens his eyes wide and grabs his throat saying it's hot as hell and delicious. He asks for a beer as his mouth is on fire. He says it hit the spot and Bonnie suggests everyone else dig in. They laugh saying the Horton Foundation is making a killing as Julie watches in amazement as people rave over the food, wondering what is wrong with those people. Bonnie asks Philip to help Rex behind the bar as he's swamped. She asks what he has on under his shirt and he tells her just a t-shirt (how many guys actually WEAR t-shirts under their shirts..sounds like a poll idea to me). He agrees to take off his shirt after Bonnie promises he would roll in tips if he does so (yeah, like Philip NEEDS $$$). Cue the music of RED NECK WOMAN by Gretchen Wilson, as we see Philip and Rex do the bartender juggle/pour routine as seen in the movies (man, they had to practice that routine a few times or two..eye candy to music ;-)...then we pan to see John and Kate eating jalepenos and drinking beer and having a great time. Belle and Philip ride the bull together and are laughing it up much to Kate's and John's pleasure. Bonnie and Mickey dance as we see Philip back at the bar helping Rex, much to the girl's delight. Mickey raves over the success of their grand opening and asks Julie where she learned to cook country as she worries about his ulcer. Belle tells John that Philip is just a good friend.

Jennifer slips outside to make a wish on Jack's star that she'll see him tonight. A hand falls on her shoulder and she gasps, but it's just Patrick. He's pleased with how well his mom's party turned out and the foundation is winning tonight too, leading her back inside. The mystery guy whispers to himself that Jennifer's luck just ran out.

John asks Belle if her relationship with Philip may be more than friendship. Kate suggests that Philip tell Belle that he love her. He asks Belle to dance and they chuckle onto the dance floor as John asks Kate to dance too. She accepts.

Bonnie tells Mimi and Rex she has a surprise guest coming to the party. They're shocked. Bonnie grabs Mickey to dance, saying his name's the only one on her dance card. Patrick asks Jennifer to dance, saying Jack hated to dance but only did it for her. Patrick warns Jennifer that someone out there wants to hurt her. He wants her to be safe. She snuggles up to his shoulder to dance as we see everyone else dancing (but Julie).

AT JAN'S, she dresses up like Belle and with back turned to the open cell room door, supposedly tells Jan she doesn't love Shawn any more and has moved on with Philip. (man, she really does a great Belle impersonation! Kudos to the actress!) Shawn finally announces he doesn't love Belle anyway, he loves Jan, which of course has the faux-Belle/Jan rush in to him and expose her identity. Later we see Jan hanging pictures of Philip and Belle at the foot of Shawn's bed. The looney tune suggests getting a blow up doll so Shawn can have his way with her and tells him he's crazy as she pulls off the Belle doll's head. Talking out loud she says killing Belle wouldn't be a problem after killing you-know-who (Voldemort?) That's an inside joke to Harry Potter fans like me)). That perks Shawn's interest up as he asks for more information. She knows he'd never understand if she killed his grandfather (ya think?) and starts singing to the stupid doll and warning Shawn he'll be her prisoner forever until he loves her. He tells her that won't happen and she's crazy as she continues to taunt him about Belle being with Philip. She tells him they're the next Salem Super Couple and she'll prove it....as the previews for

THE NEXT DOOL

Jan holds up an engagement ring to Shawn and tells them they're getting engaged..He tells her no way!

Sami joins the grand opening celebration and asks Belle if she's giving up on Shawn and moving on with Philip?

We see Abe jousting at someone wearing a dark hood breaking into his home..the eyes of the intruder look at Abe...

Bonnie announces some friends of her...Lone Star...

Episode #9839
Tape date - 5/25/04
Director - Albert Allar

Summary: Hope worries about Shawn as she tries to find some sort of clue, Roman and Abe find an intruder at Jack and Jen's island house, Jan gets herself engaged to Shawn, and the party is in full swing at Alice's. (The scenes at Alice's involve a few storylines and I tried to keep the continuity as best I could while trying to keep the stories straight.)

Hope grabs a picture of Shawn and Belle, and starts wondering where he is. She is then on the phone with Bo, asking him that since the fingerprint evidence on the earring from Shawn's shows it might belong to the person who killed Victor, what kind of danger is Shawn in? Hope is out walking on the street and stops to read a paper from a vending box, as she catches sight of earrings matching the evidence in a store window. The store owner tells Hope that the earring she has is pure sterling silver, the ones he sells are only cheap imitations. Hope stares at a tray on the counter with a bear on it. She is sure she has seen the bear before, but can't remember where. She says she has a feeling that she has to buy the bear and the store owner tells her he can sell it to her for $5.

At Alice's Bar, Belle stops Hope to discuss her plan - she wants to get on the NASCAR broadcast that Shawn will be sure to be watching, wherever he is, and make a plea to get him to come home. Hope thinks this is a great idea and says she will talk to Bo about it. Jenn stands off by herself, (after the music, see below), until Hope drags her over to a corner to talk. She goes on about loving Hope and her family, which makes Hope wonder and she ends up telling Jen that it's not like she is going anywhere. When Hope goes to call Bo, Jen leaves saying it is time to go find Jack. Hope phones Bo again, wondering why the bear is a clue.

Shawn is in the cage tearing down pictures of Phillip and Belle as Jan swears to make him love her 2000 times more than Belle. Belle is not waiting for Shawn, she is getting it on with Phillip. Jan is holding the other earring, (as the scene shifts from Hope holding the one in the bag), wondering where the mate went. She holds up a diamond ring and tells Shawn to figure out what it is. When he gets a clue and says no, she says yes, they're getting engaged. He wants to know if she is nuts (You think?), he will never ask. She does some role playing about him proposing and her saying yes. She puts on the ring and says they are now engaged. Shawn tells her she can propose to herself all night long, but he is committed to Belle. Jan counters that Belle has already broken their silly little purity vow, how can be faithful to someone cheating on him the entire time? How would he like to see it for himself? Shawn insists that Jan take him back to Salem, thinking he will finally get to go back to Belle. She says he has a deal and she will be right back. Jan brings a computer and tells Shawn she is bringing Salem to him, not him to Salem. Jan tunes in to a live feed on the local public station from Alice's and shows Shawn that Belle is dancing with Phillip and having fun. It doesn't look to her like Belle is waiting for Shawn.

In the jungle, there are mysterious feet, and someone pulls out some keys, opening a door. Abe and Roman, with a lantern, are outside Jack and Jen's house, making nightly rounds. They discuss Jennifer coming next, but since there are no lights, she must not be there yet. What is going to happen, who is behind it and when will they figure it out? The two of them check out the house just to be sure. Roman comments it looks exactly like Jack and Jen would have left it. While they are looking for clues to what happened to Jack and to them, someone is lurking in another room. Roman and Abe try to figure out how the mastermind is able to get away without leaving any clues. Abe worries about how to get proof back to Salem that they are not really dead and buried. The two cops insist that Bo and Hope have to keep searching for clues, they can't give up. They also can't give up themselves till they get back to Salem. They discuss whether it is Stephano behind their plight, but Roman wants to know how that explains Tony. Why would Stephano let his own son get mauled by a tiger? They notice someone in the house and go in to investigate.
They wonder if the lurker is working for their host. As they head in to find out, they find...a cartwheeling man dressed in black, with a black ski mask, who knocks Roman down and turns to Abe.

Back at Alice's Bar the party is in full swing . Mimi tells Bonnie not to get too excited, how many of her get rich quick schemes have blown up in her face? Bonnie insists there is no short fuse on this one. Rex shows her the sales receipts, which make her very happy. She thinks she should surprise Salem every night if that will be the result. Overseeing Bonnie's joy, Julie is unhappy, but Mickey thinks Bonnie has lots to celebrate - Julie worries about Mickey's money and reputation, and about Jennifer. She reminds Mickey that Jen was in the room when Jack's plug was pulled, yet she is convinced he is still alive. She wants to know how to break the truth without breaking her heart. Bonnie (after her conversation with Patrick), announces it is time for her big surprise. She talks of how it is about Alice's and how it will make Salem shine in the music world. She goes on to introduce friends of hers that she knows by their first names (sorry didn't catch them all,) but the rest will know them as ----Lonestar! (who perform their song TGIF for the Salem crowd).

Even Julie appeared to be enjoying the music and the dancing crowd. Mimi is impressed with what her mother accomplished and most are having a good time.Bonnie thanks a very excited Mickey for making her dreams come true and kisses him, as Julie looks on and thinks that if Maggie were alive, this would kill her. Belle is dancing with Phillip, who is so glad about living together. Kate looks on very dreamily, thinking they are perfect for each other and wondering how to get them together. As they go their separate ways for a few minutes (see below), Rex is still trying to get Phil to back off Belle because she belongs to Shawn. Phillip insists that Shawn deserted her and he won't. Kate steps in to tell Rex to leave Philip alone, but Rex claims to be a Brady now and wants to look out for Shawn, who might actually be in trouble. Kate thinks his loyalty should be to Phillip, his half-brother, but he wants to look out for Shawn. After the music and excitement, Belle wants to go home and see if Shawn left a message, but Kate steps in here, too, and makes her stay.

Lucas and Samishow up together. Sami (who is so cute) fantasizes about Kate being locked up. She tells Lucas to say hi to his mom, she might not be there much longer, which prompts confused look from Lucas. Sami covers with the fact that she knows what it is like to lose a mother, Kate will not be around forever. Sami leaves as Kate demands to know if Lucas and Sami are back together again, but Lucas claims he only gave her a lift because her car wouldn't start; she is not forgiven. Kate is very happy to hear it. Kate sees Lucas talking to another girl, thinking she is much better for Lucas than Sami (how does she know this on first sight?) He learns something of the girl, Manda, who is a VP at Salem U hospital, celebrating her birthday. Manda compliments Lucas' dancing and he takes her to get a drink. Sami talks to Manda while Lucas is at the bar and warns her that Lucas will not see her past the second date, and especially don't let him knock her up like he did Sami. He won't see his son and is out with a different woman every night, to which Manda leaves in disgust. Lucas sees them talking and stalks over to Sami, demanding to know what she said. Mimi asks Belle if she has given up on Shawn? After discussing with Mimi how she would never give up on him, Belle runs into Sami and tells her sister not to give up on Lucas. Seeing Lucas dancing with Manda, she comments that he can do what he wants. Belle tells her to fight for him. She has another fantasy of Kate in jail and her as reporter saying that now she can marry her son, as Kate screams. Sami exclaims that she can't believe it, as she walks past Lucas, who stares after her. Sami had spotted a blue bear that reminded her of Will's bear that they gave to Marlena. She has a flashback to Lucas putting it in the casket while she watched. She and Belle commiserate that their mother is gone forever and never coming back. They decide they have to accept their mom is not coming back or they will drive themselves crazy. The bear reminds Belle that Kate wanted her to buy bears for the children's hospital through the Basic Black Foundation. Sami grills Belle about how the foundation works and wants to see the books. Sami tells Belle she wants to prove herself and climb the corporate ladder, but Belle thinks love is more important. She pushes Sami to get Lucas back, telling her that Will wouldn' t want a step-mom. This seems to be right button to push, as Sami agrees and stares at Lucas, dropping the previous subject. As the music changes and everyone is told to find a partner to line dance with, Lucas approaches Sami, who walks away when he finds two other girls to dance with. Kate, who was standing beside Sami, takes her place and smiles as she watches Lucas.

Jen is dancing with Patrick, who is trying to warn her that someone is trying to hurt her, but she doesn't believe him - Jack is coming home to her tonight. When Patrick asks what she means, Jen remembers the instructions from computer, then says that she just knows Jack is watching over her and Patrick is way too overprotective. They turn to see Lexie and Tek come in. Tek leaves to get Lexie some champagne, so Lexie asks Jen if she has had more messages, and Jen says no. Lexie thinks there would be some comfort from Abe being alive, but he's not and neither is Jack Jen tries to convince Lexie that she only wants to feel that Jack is with her, always part of her, Abby and their new baby. She has a memory of Jack delivering Abby (tears here) and tearfully tells Lexie that she can't have this baby without Jack. Lexie reminds Jennifer that any stress will put her life and baby's life at risk. Patrick agrees and will look after her (this is after his conversation with Tek.)

Patrick, in the background, says Jen is in more danger, but Bonnie comes up and tells him he is in too deep and in too much danger himself and to get out, not to get any more involved. Patrick turns away from her, only to run into TEK, who tells him that he ran a check on him with curious results. He mentions that there are significant gaps in Patrick's background. Even if he moved around a lot like he claimed, there should be a paper trail. This looks like someone erased all the files. Patrick remembers erasing the page that Abby found on the internet

Immediately following the music, Bonnie grabs Patrick and orders him to dance with Julie, and drags Mickey, her hero, off to dance with her. Patrick wonders where Jennifer is, but Julie tells him that she is probably in the bathroom. When you are that pregnant, you have to go every 5 minutes (lol - how true!).

Jenn, driving her car, is upset that she didn't get to say good-bye to Abby before she left for camp, but she is going to find her daddy for her and bring him back. Just then lights blind her and she swerves into the previews for tomorrow, which show:

Abe struggling with the black-clad intruder at Jack and Jen's island house;

Patrick telling Hope that what if this is a sick hoax and Jennifer has gone to find Jack?

Someone saying Jack's name, as if they had been surprised by seeing him;

Julie telling Bonnie to leave Mickey alone, and Bonnie telling Julie Mickey was going to end up riding her express..

Episode #9840
Tape date - 6/6/04
Director - Phil Sogard

SUMMARY
Good show as the grand opening celebration continues at Alice's with a little cat fight added to the festivities; Jennifer gets to the airfield as Patrick and Hope realize she disappeared and search for her while on the island; Jack and Tony appear for the first time as we find out more about what happened to Jack. (WELCOME BACK GUYS!!!)

ON SALEM ISLAND... A replay of Roman and Abe walking into the Salem Isle Devereaux house. The intruder does his punch and kick routine to both of Salem's finest. Roman gets the last punch and knocks out the intruder. When they unmask him, we see it's Tony Dimera (WELCOME BACK THAOO). They figure their suspicions were right, a Dimera was behind this whole ordeal. Roman splashes water into Tony's face (think I'd tie him up first, wouldn't you?). Tony's startled, admits being a victim of the Salem Stalker just like them. He woke up in the jungle lying on palm branches with only tiger's teeth in his possession. He wandered around and found an exact duplicate of the Dimera mansion much to his surprise. Exploring some more he found a compass. He rested, changed and started exploring when he found Jennifer's house. Roman and Abe don't buy his story and want to be taken to the person in charge, Stefano. Abe and Roman recognize the compass that Tony found. It was one that Jack showed them before he went to find his way out of the jungle. (WELCOME BACK MATT!!!!!) We see him in a supposed flashback telling Abe and Roman that Jennifer gave him that compass (with the inscription he can always find his way back to her) and now that he knows she's pregnant, she won't have that baby without him and he's going to find his way off the island. He's wearing a brown jacket and stylish Jack Deveraux version of the Indiana Jones hat). Back to present, Maggie joins them as they question Tony and slaps him. Tony says he thought Horton the tiger was ferocious. Maggie knows how important that compass was to Jack and how desperate he was to get back to Jennifer. We return to the Jack flashback as he's determined to leave the island. Maggie joined them, carrying a sack over her shoulder. She tells Jack she's with him and being held captive is really pissing her off! Abe's startled, never hearing Maggie talk like that before. She tells him she's never been so angry and wants to go out in the jungle and kick some major butt!! (LOL)

Back to present, Tony tells them he found the compass near Salem Place. That's where they found Jack's backpack that was shredded (maybe it's so realistic they have Horton the tiger loose there too? Did they ever find him in Salem?) Tony smirks it would be tragic if Jennifer comes there and Jack's gone. Maggie replies, “that's why you're going to find him!”

Maggie tells the three of them what happened. She and Jack were going through the dense jungle when they found some high tech poles radiating a power of some sort. Jack figured it supplied the power to the island at first. Their captor was probably well housed out of the perimeter with communications to the outside world. He put a stick to the power field and it torched the stick. All of a sudden they heard a loud noise and knew someone else was joining them on the island (Marlena) and the power went off momentarily. Jack walked through the poles and got out, but the power came on by the time Maggie tried to follow him. Roman and Abe tell Tony he's got to get to the head man and get the power turned off so they can all get off the island. They tell him if he doesn't do that, they'll kill him. Maggie asks Tony to go look at the symbol, the logo on the power poles, to see if he recognizes it. Tony doesn't think he can help, but knows someone who can..but says she's anything but a Dimera.

AT ALICE'S... Julie comes out and looking up at the sky, asking Doug if he's lonely tonight (waited for Elvis to start singing). She tell him about how Bonnie called Sarah and Melissa in Nashville. They booked Lone Star, who sang a tribute to Maggie and the family that everyone loved. She can't figure out Bonnie. One minutes she's a tart of the western world and the next, someone who almost has heart.

Mimi chats with Rex at the bar. She can't figure out how Bonnie pulled this off as she's the world's worst business person. They watch Rex and Mickey dancing. Later we see them talking as Rex tells her she's in all his dreams, one where she was an ice cream cone.

Mickey admits having fun to Bonnie when Julie interrupts and apologizes to Bonnie. She admits being wrong and regrets being less than supportive to this tribute to Alice. Mickey steps away to say hi to a client as Bonnie asks Julie if she is okay with her and Mickey. Julie tells her that there's only one person that Mickey will ever love and joining them again, Mickey agrees that Maggie is the only woman who had his heart. He excuses himself to go smooze with a councilman. Bonnie snarls she did her homework and knows that Maggie stifled Mickey's animal instincts and will get them out of him. Julie promises otherwise, she'll never be in their family and calls her a two bit tramp. Bonnie shouts she heard Julie's husband was a con man. That does it for Julie as she and Bonnie start physically fighting. Rex breaks up the cat fight as they both stomp off. Mimi tells Rex she'd like to stay and referee, but has a paper to finish and asks Rex to keep an eye on Bonnie for her.

Julie steps outside to tell Doug how it went. She vows to take Bonnie Lockhart down if it's the last thing she does. Inside, Bonnie has a drink and promises to Rex she'll prove Julie wrong.

THE SEARCH FOR JENNIFER..... Patrick tells Hope that Jennifer disappeared. They go outside and he sees her car is missing. Hope figures Jennifer just got tired and went home, but Patrick knows better, remembering the mystery guys warning. He tells Hope there's someone he thinks Hope should call, again remembering the death threat from the mystery guy if he does anything. Hope tries calling both Lexie and Jennifer at the hospital. No luck (Lexie's inside kicking up her heels last we saw). Patrick figures Jennifer might have gone to join Jack and they rush off. They return to Jennifer's computer and try to see her emails, but can't figure out her password. They try the old fashion way...by using a pencil to rub over Jen's note and see the tracing of Salem Airfield. He realizes that's why Jen packed her bag. Hope grabs her gun and they head off.

Jennifer is driving to meet Jack at the airfield as we flash back to Jack's computer message to her. She sees lights at the airfield and anxiously heads his way. She arrives at the Salem Airfield and leaving her keys in the car and the lights on, as she gets out to look for him. We see a flashback as she remembers their last hug at Salem Place before he left and got killed, talking to him while he lie in a coma in the hospital as she tells him how proud she is of him. She remembers Lexie turning off the life support and crying, saying this is crazy. She was there when he Jack died. Patrick was right and what is she doing out there? She hears a noise and ducks, asking who's there. It was just a bunny and she realizes it must have been a cruel joke as she hears a plane flying in. Jumping up she starts waving, thinking it's Jack, just like he promised. A man gets off the plane and introduces himself as Oscar Davies to Jennifer. He tells her Jack sent him for her. She won't leave with him without him answering some questions. He didn't know that Jennifer was pregnant and thinks twice about taking her. Oscar said he's watched enough Oprah to know she's conflicted about what to do (LOL) and starts to split. She calls him back and he's anxious to leave before the tower asks questions. He tells her he heard the whole story about the serial killer, but Jack didn't really die. Jennifer wants tangible proof that Jack really sent him. He shows her a picture of him and Jack standing in front of the plane. Jack's wearing the locket that Jack gave her the day before he died. She tells Oscar that their daughter Abby put the locket in the coffin with Jack. She begs him to take her to her husband. We see Jack, wearing the locket, and lying unconscious on the ground in the jungle.

ON THE NEXT DOOL....

Rex asks Sami who that pretty girl is that's kissing Lucas. She tells him she doesn't know. He tells her he knows how she can get him back...

Hope and Patrick are driving to the airfield. She asks him why she has a feeling he knows more than he's telling her....

Jennifer tries to leave Oscar, but he tells her she's not going anywhere....

Tony asks Marlena what she wants from him. She wants to know if Stefano's really dead??...

as the credits roll...

Episode #9841
Tape date – 6/7/04
Director – Albert Alarr

Some Salemites seem to be mending fences at the hoedown (operative word being “seem”), as Patrick & Hope race to intercept Jennifer, who demands more proof that Jack is indeed alive, while on the Isle of Faux Salem…Tony is surrounded & accused by antagonistic ex-dead Salemites.

AT ALICE’S BAR the hoedown continues, tho the room is looking rather sparse. LOL. Lucas hears from Manda the reason for her cold shoulder, and who has been filling her ear with lies. He explains about his son, how he sees him all the time, and talks of Sami’s problems getting to the altar with various guys. Sami eavesdrops and has a fantasy of Lucas proposing to her. Rex comes up to her, & talks to her of getting Lucas back. She says it is up to Lucas, but Rex reminds her that Lucas has tried many times only to be rebuffed by Sami, and now the ball is in her court. Meanwhile, Lucas is cozying up to Manda, has his own fantasy of talking with Sami and deciding to “move on”. He kisses her, as Sami looks on. Rex tells Sami to tell Lucas how she really feels.

Julie is outside, promising Doug she is going to take Bonnie down. Mickey comes up, telling her how proud he is of her to apologize. Meanwhile Bonnie is telling herself that Julie is gonna eat humble pie. Kate comes up, warning her it is a big mistake to try and come between Hortons. They chat a while, as Kate explains about her past with Bill Horton, how she took advantage of the fact his wife had mental problems, seduced him, and tried to take him away from his wife. But Alice decided Bill should be with his wife, and Kate lost out. (Hmmm, this is odd, Kate talking of her past w/Hortons). She advises Bonnie to not try to separate the Hortons from each other. Outside, Mickey is telling Julie that tho he loves Maggie with all his heart, she has been gone 9 months, and he cannot stagnate. He wants to watch young people ride that mechanical bull, laugh at how silly it all looks….just live. They go inside, and with Bonnie, toast the truce. Julie hints that maybe Mickey should know all that happened tonite, & Bonnie quickly remembers Kate’s warning, rushes up to Julie, apologizing to her for what Bonnie did, too. (lolol, as Bonnie comments to herself about burying the hatchet……right in Julie’s back!)

HOPE & PATRICK ARE DRIVING towards the airport, talking of Jennifer, of the stress she has been under, and it is not good in her condition. Patrick thinks about the people he knows who have been threatening her (couple of flashbacks here) as Hope comments she thinks he knows more than he is saying. They argue about scams against grieving next of kin, being mostly about money…..stocks, insurance, etc…..not doing actual harm to a person.

At the airfield (note this is Salem Airfield…not the Salem International Airport….lolol…..wow, TWO airports in Salem…..) a replay of Jennifer demanding proof Jack is alive, and being shown the picture of Davies & Jack. She questions the pic….saying it was probably doctored, noting how she ran a newspaper and can tell if a photo has been doctored. Davies claims it was taken with a digital camera, he has it with him, and goes to get it. Jen decides to get her cell phone in the car (since she is due any time now and wants to call her doctor…..tho Davies tells her there is no reception where she is going. As she gets to the car, the phone rings (tis Patrick), she answers, & Davies grabs her phone and turns it off. (Tho am glad Jen mentions she is due any time now……WHAT IN HEAVEN’S NAME is she doing even considering getting on a plane, with a risky pregnancy, to boot?) Davies shows her the photo still in the digital camera, and then plays a tape recording of Jack’s voice, urging her to come to him. (yes, THIS is Jack’s voice).

OVER ON THE ISLE OF SALEM Tony, Maggie, Abe & Roman are all still talking of identifying the logo on those high tech poles. A replay of Tony saying unless it is the phoenix, he would not know (Oh, c’mon, Tony…..there are some logos we ALL recognize…..as for instance…the Golden Arches……lol) but he knows someone who probably would know. (bet he means Cassie…). We hear glass shattering, all turn to see Marlena standing there. She was bringing a vase of flowers and a note for Jennifer in case she arrived tonite. They all talk of Jack, the compass……and Marlena asks about Stefano. Tony claims Stef is still resting in the urn at home in real Salem. They all are sure Stefano is behind this all, perhaps setting these plans in motion years ago. They talk of John being brainwashed into being a pawn…..and Marlena claims Roman figured out that the same was done to Marlena while she was sleeping. A voice kept saying over and over “You are the Salem Stalker, you are the Salem Stalker” (Did I miss this? I know I missed an episode a couple weeks ago…..cuz I do not remember this at all…) Marlena was a victim of mind control. Tony still accuses her, reminding her of his tiger attack, and how she gleefully gave him a lethal injection. One odd thing…..Tony says something about….”when I was alive”……

During the show, a couple of times we see Jack lying comatose on the ground. Each scene only last a a few seconds. We see his fingers move. And now as we see him, we hear an animal growling.

Marlena tells the group she wants to talk to Tony alone, and they all leave. She tells Tony that she died herself, was buried alive (!!) and had a horrible experience. And why would she take herself away from her husband, children, family. She reminds him they are connected…..they thought they shared parentage of the twins, he is John’s half-brother and step-father to Carrie (hmmm, more past history being brought forward).

Outside……we again see Jack lying on the ground. The animal growls louder. Jack’s eyes open…the animal roars, as Jack’s eyes show fear, & he starts to raise himself. (Man, if that is Horton…..we know darn well they are NOT on an island, lol) Now the scene shifts back to the Deveraux house, where Roman, Abe & Maggie hear the animal. Abe comments it is getting ready to pounce on it’s prey. Maggie shudders, & says Alice hates that sound, and she is going to check on her. Roman & Abe say if Marlena doesn’t get the truth from Tony, they will beat it out of him.

Inside, Marlena asks Tony to tell her the truth. He grins and tells her she is right about one thing….the Phoenix has risen. & previews for the next day show…….

Bonnie telling Sami she is really enjoying the Sami Brady show – drama, mystery….Whoo!

Tek & Lexie leaning in towards each other for a kiss

A very angry Abe telling Tony..you & your father orchestrated this whole thing. Tony replies.that’s a lie, and Marlena says……then PROVE IT!

Episode #9842
Tape date – 6/7/04
Director – Albert Alarr (same tape date and director as today's show)

Summary: Good show as some of the veterans (Dee, Josh, James & Thaoo) turn in good performances…Tony tries to prove his innocence to a skeptical group…Lexie and Tek get closer, despite Celeste’s warnings…Jack has dreams of Jennifer. Meanwhile she is trying to make her way to him…as Hope and Patrick rush to her rescue…and once again, Bonnie shows that she may indeed have a heart (okay, I will admit it…she is growing on me ;-)

At Alice’s Bar…the party is still going on as Lucas and Manda are heating things up…as Kate watches and gloats. Rex sees/hears Kate and basically tells her to mind her own business (SOMEONE needs to tell her, way to go Rex). He tells her that Sami and Lucas love each other. Meanwhile, Bonnie retreats to the the little cowgirls room, steaming over Julie. She thinks that Kate may be right. She hears someone crying in one of the stalls and offers to talk. It is Sami, who comes out saying her life sucks. Bonnie offers support, saying no one’s life is perfect. She asks where is her Brady spirit and offers her encouragement. Sami doesn’t want to talk to her but Bonnie doesn’t give up. Bonne makes light of it, telling her that she has so enjoyed the Sami Brady show, much better than any soap opera. Sami looks at her, telling her she is crazy. But Bonnie turns serious and tells her that as a maid, she often went unnoticed and saw and heard a lot of things. She tells her of how her grandmother Caroline loved Sami and always wanted to see her happy…with Lucas. But Sami says Lucas is just as dead to her as her grandmother and the rest of her family. Sami says she has ruined things for her and Lucas. But Bonnie tells her to never say never and go after him. With a renewed spirit, Sami is determined to claim her man. She goes out to find Lucas and Manda cuddled up kissing and silently watches heart broken as they prepare to leave together. In the bathroom, Bonnie is proud of herself. But outside, Kate rubs it in to Sami…telling her to give up…she has lost. (Someone, PLEASE slap Kate!)

At the Carver House…Celeste is playing with her Tarot cards. She looks at a picture of Lexie and Abe…as Abe morphs into Tek. Meanwhile, Tek is walking Lexie home, saying he had too many beers to drive. She talks about missing Abe and not being able to move on as he tells her there is no rush. Celeste says she needs to find out more about Thomas Kramer and tries to do a reading, but comes up empty, saying she needs the help of a higher power. Tek apologies for his forwardness as Lexie drops something. They both bend down to pick it up and comethisclose to each other and they kiss. He apologizes to her and then quickly leaves. Lexie goes inside (as Celeste is pacing the floor with a pair of squeaky shoes ;-). Her mother gives her the third degree, saying they NEED to talk. She tells her about trying to do a reading but coming up empty. She tells her she had to take more drastic measures as Lexie rolls her eyes, asking “did you have to contact the spirits?” Celeste says no, I “Googled” him (ROFL!) It seems she found a lot of info on him off the internet and hands the folder over to Lexie. Theo cries, and as Celeste goes to check on him, Lexie flips through the info. The doorbell rings and Lexie answers it to find Tek, who tells her it wasn’t the beer after all and that she is beautiful. Then he leaves after wishing her a good night.

Getting Back Home… is all that is on Jack’s mind as he lies unconscious in the jungle. I don’t know what happened to the tiger. He dreams of Jennifer being there with him, assuring him that all will be okay. As he slips in and out, his hand is always holding tight to the locket. He has flashbacks of him and Maggie trying to escape and him making his way through the jungle alone, where he ended up getting lost. The whole time, Jen keeps appearing to him, encouraging. (Strange, in these fantasy scenes she IS pregnant…odd, considering that Jack never knew she was pregnant…did he?) Anyway, in his dreams, they find a vine and swing over a ravine, ala Tarzan and Jane. He continues to dream and in one of them she runs to him, telling him that she is pregnant (duh…I think he would notice). She tells him to hurry home, then she disappears. He spots a boat and tries to make his way to it. His dreams go on, and now he has long hair and a beard (ala Tom Hanks in ‘Cast Away’) as a helicopter flies over, dropping a rope ladder for him. We next see him outside his house. It is Christmas and Abby and Jen are decorating the tree. A little boy (about 3 or 4 years old) rushes to Jen and he is so happy…he has a son. Then someone else walks into the room (looks like Patrick, but we only see him from behind) and kisses Jen. Back in real time, He jumps straight up, yelling “NOOO!!!”

Elsewhere on the Island…Roman and Abe are outside the faux Deveraux house, talking about beating the truth out of Tony. But inside, Marlena tries to talk him into joining the rest of the group in their plight for freedom and tell them what he knows. He tells her that she is right about one thing…the Phoenix has risen again and she screams “NO!” Roman and Abe hear her and rush inside. She exclaims that Tony just confirmed that Stefano IS alive. But Tony clarifies it, telling them that when Marlena “killed” him, she taunted him and told him that the Phoenix would NEVER rise again. She doesn’t remember that and apologizes. Roman and Abe suggest that Marlena should return to her penthouse, but she refuses to leave. Tony says they want her to leave so they can beat him up. Marlena objects to the violence, saying no one is going to lay a hand on Tony. But Roman says he deserves it for putting them through all this. But Tony continues to proclaim his innocence, claiming he has been a victim himself. Abe says they are getting nowhere and asks to speak to his brother-in-law alone, so Roman and Marlena step outside. Abe tells Tony that he was the first to die and afterward, all his files and computer were destroyed. He feels that he had something on their host. When he figures it all out, “vengence is MINE” he tells Tony. He begs Tony to think of Lexie and Theo. Outside, Marlena berates Roman for threatening to use violence, saying there has been enough of that already. She asks what if Tony is right…what if there is someone else back in Salem right now, stalking their next victim. Inside, Tony talks about Lexie moving on without Abe and asks what will he do if he goes home to find her in love with someone else. Well that pushes Abe over the edge and he punches Tony in the gut and they end up in a brawl. Roman and Marlena hear the ruckus and rush inside and break it up. Tony says he is SICK of him and his father being blamed for all this and Marlena tells him to prove it. He opens his shirt to reveal his scars from the tiger mauling and asks, would my father allow this to happen to me?

In Search of Jack…Hope and Patrick race to Jen’s rescue, hoping they aren’t too late. Meanwhile, Jen watches the video of jack and believes he is alive, but just is still skeptical and wishes that Jack had come for her himself. Hope and Patrick have problems with a flat tire and have to stop as both of them work quickly to change it. Hope has her cell phone, continuing to call Jen, but she can’t get a signal. Jen finally gives in to trust Davies and apologizes for being so skeptical. He says that Jack told him she would be that way. As he gets the plane ready, she has a flashback of him taking the battery from her cell phone and pulls out her PDA and sends Hope a message, giving her the ID number from the plane, just in case. Jen takes out a picture of Jack, telling him she is on her way. They board the plane as Davies radios someone, telling them that they are on their way and Jen doesn’t suspect a thing. Patrick and Hope get the tire changed and someone calls him, telling him that it’s too late, Jen is gone. He tells Hope they must hurry, they are the only ones who can save Jen as Hope demands to know who that was. He tells her he lost reception and they race off again. They spot the plane and Hope floors the car. From the plane, Jen spots Hope’s car and yells for Davies to stop, but he ignores her. Patrick tells Hope to pull up next to the plane as he climbs out the window. Jen is yelling “NO” as he crawls out and grabs hold of the plane, saying it’s now or never…as the previews show…

John telling Brady that the night Marlena was killed, the guard was found in a holding cell with Crystal…is that just another coincidence?…

Sami watches teary-eyed as Lucas and Manda kiss…

Davies (to Jen): I don’t want to hurt you, but I will if I have to…

Hope yells “PATRICK!” as he loses his grip and slips from the plane…

And the credits roll…

Patrick to Hope who is evidently speeding down the airfield runway….Hurry, get closer. She says she can’t get any closer. He hangs out the window, grabbing a what looks like part of the plane.

Episode #9843
Tape date – 6/8/04
Director – Phil Sogard

Summary: Maggie and Alice worry about Jennifer on the island as Patrick and Hope try to race to Jennifer's rescue; John finds another way to get the real story out of Crystal; Sami sadly watches Lucas coming on to Mandy as Bonnie tries to help as Rex observes (yeah, she's growing a little on me too Laney)..

AT THE KIRIAKIS HOMESTEAD, Brady is fully dressed in jeans and a long sleeved shirt as he announces to Nicole and Crystal that he's going to Alice's. Crystal wants to go with him to party after he invites them to go, saying it's a fundraiser for the Horton Foundation, but Nicole grabs her arm saying they'll pass. Nicole warns Crystal about getting too drunk and blabbing what she knows. Crystal's restless, seeing the invitation to Alice's and hopes to run into Brady's hunky father there. She still thinks John bought her story about how she knew Marlena. Nicole knows that John is a spy and must have a brain up there somewhere and might be going along with her little act. Crystal recalls how she set Earl up to help her. He comes in from locking Marlena up in Cell Block 2 as Crystal made it worth his while. Nicole worries about Earl talking. Crystal's not worried about Earl talking about sleeping with an inmate. His wife would give him a Bobbit-ectomy if she found out he was cheating on her.

Brady steps outside and calls John, who's back at Basic Black going through the records of the night Marlena was in the county jail, saying Crystal knows more about what happened than she's letting on. Brady tells him he's on his way over.

Brady arrives after John's reviewed the statements from the inmates and guards after Marlena's attack and how the guard whose gun was missing (Earl) was found in the holding cell with Crystal. John reads the guards statement saying that Marlena knocked him out, stole his gun and locked him up with Crystal Galore. John called the warden and finds out the guard was suspended. He decides to find the guard and become his new best friend and benefactor.

Moments later, Earl knocks on John's door, saying the guard told him to come up. In his sleeveless shirt he apologizes for having several beers earlier, but blames it on being suspended and problems with the wife. John plays the understanding sole as Earl claims to have given his statement already about what happened with Marlena. John denies calling him about that and just claims he feels sorry for Earl, who was just doing his job, and offers him one at Basic Black. He picks up Earl's statement and reclarifies it, pretending to forget Crystal's name. Earl sticks to his story and John suggests they go have a drink and talk about his job, at least until they rehire him at the jail. Earl asks if John's buying (talk about a loser) as John said he wouldn't have it any other way. John calls Crystal, asking her to meet him for a drink (can you say set up?). Nicole asks who it is and Crystal says it's her parole officer. She discreetly agrees to meet John at Alice's and tells Nicole she's tired and going to bed. She dashes up the stairs to change clothes. John can't wait to see the reunion of Crystal and Earl.

Crystal sneaks out and Nicole realizes it, too late. Crystal arrives at Alice's, sees Earl at the bar and goes leaves. John saw her reaction, knows she's guilty, and asks for Brady's help.

AT ALICE'S, Sami watches as Lucas and Mandy steam the wallpaper right off the wall (Bonnie's terminology). Lucas glances over at Sami from time to time to gage the impact it's having on her. After they dance, Lucas sits Mandy at their table and joins Sami at the bar as he orders Mandy another Cosmo and him the strongest club soda they have. He tells Sami that Mandy's the VP of nursing and knows just how to deliver the TLC he needs as Sami tells him to go to Hell. Lucas tells Sami that Amanda and other women in town who don't even know her refer to her as a cold hearted bitch. He tells her she needs help. Rex tells Lucas that Mandy is beautiful and Sami tells Rex to screw himself too. Lucas agrees with Rex and joins Mandy at their table. Rex comments on it to Bonnie and she says Sami is her own worst enemy and will get what she deserves. An older gal joins Sami, asking who Lucas is, as she sees Sami watching him. She knows he must be the one who got away. She claims to be a loser in love as well. She tells Sami it might not be too late for her and pulling up a stool, tells Sami she was too ambitious and lost her love to her career. She took her boyfriend for granted and warns Sami not to do the same. If she does, she'll end up with a title and a paycheck, nothing else. Sami steps aside and stares at Lucas and Mandy kissing at their table. Lucas invites Mandy back to his place. She makes sure he lives alone and agrees.

We see the woman who talked to Sami at the bar with Bonnie. Bonnie thanks her for talking to Sami and tells her drinks are on the house as they high five. Rex confronts Bonnie, saying he knows she's a real romantic as she warns him to keep it to himself.

John, Brady and Earl arrive. Earl orders the most expensive bourbon as John pops open his shirt a little, telling Brady no self respecting porn star would turn down a stud like him (don't think porn stars are the only ones who wouldn't turn ya down John ;-)

ON SALEM ISLE, the sun is just setting on the water as Maggie and Alice chat over a cuppa about Tony's arrival and his survival of the tiger attack. Maggie tells Alice that Tony claims to be just another victim like they are. Maggie worries that Jennifer will be the next person to join them on the island and Jack won't be there. Maggie talks about having doubts that Jack was good husband/father material until Abby was born. He deserves a second chance with this new baby as he lost so much time with Abby. Picking up the BLUE booties Alice knit, they hope Jack made it off the island. Maggie worries out loud what will happen to Jennifer's baby if Stefano is behind this. They don't know of any medical facilities on the island and Marlena's isn't a medical doctor. Alice said all they can do is pray their loved ones back in Salem have figured out what's happened and can stop Jennifer from being taken.

SAMI RETURNS HOME and after grabbing a bottle of water, cries while looking at a picture of her and Lucas as she remembers the fight she and Lucas had. Amanda kisses Lucas at his door and is glad his son is at camp. She asks about his son's mother. He says she knows their relationship is over and he's ready as he can't keep his eyes off Sami's door while entering his own apartment.

AT SALEM AIRFIELD, we see Patrick leaning out of Hope's Mercedes, trying to grab the wing of the plane. Davies refuses to stop. Patrick jumps and lands on the wing as Jennifer watches horrified from inside the plane. He yells to Hope who's pacing the plane, to stop it. She floors her car to try as Davies flashes a gun to Jennifer, warning her to sit down and stop interfering. Jennifer goes back, but tries to open the inside door for Patrick. Davies is too busy trying to avoid hitting Hope to notice. (must be a huge airfield for them to be chasing around, LOL). Davies finally says “the hell with this, I'm taking off” and floors it as Jennifer is thrown to the floor on her stomach, unconscious. We see Patrick struggling to hold onto the wing and gets thrown off. Hope squeals her brakes as she helps Patrick get up. Davies yells “hey Missy, you all right back there”? (bet MISSY Reeves..aka Jennifer, got a kick out that). When she doesn't answer, he says “Crap” and gets up to check on her. He puts the plane on auto pilot and finds her unconscious and tells himself they're not going to be happy about this......

ON THE NEXT DAYS OF OUR LIVES...

John tells Brady with his help they might have both Nicole and Crystal before the night is over...

Nicole tells Crystal she's not going anywhere near that guard again and she knows just the way to guarantee it...

Standing outside the “Deveraux” home, Roman tells Marlena that he and Abe have been working on an escape plan since they got there. They hear a noise in the bushes and Roman calls out asking who's there...

Jack is struggling in the jungle somewhere as he's got a snake wrapped around him (is that him in the bushes that Marlena and Roman hear??)

as the credits roll...

Episode #9844
Tape date – 6/10/04
Director – Jim Baffico (never seen that name before)

Summary: Another good show as most of the action takes place either at Alice’s Bar…on the island, or in the airspace above it. Kudos go to Missy Reeves today (Jennifer) for her thumbs up performance.

At Alice’s…Mickey and Julie are excited about the successful evening for the Horton fundraiser, that is until they check the cash register and only find a couple hundred dollars (Bonnie just cleaned it out). They question Rex and he tells them that Bonnie has been in the till several times. Meanwhile John and Brady keep an eye on Earl at the bar. John is sure that with Earl’s unknowing help, he can nail Crystal…then Nicole. Julie confronts Bonnie, who admits that she has been cleaning out the cash register every thirty minutes and putting the money in the safe. Earl continues to bend his arm at the bar, getting drunker and drunker. Rex tries to slow him down, but is told to mind his own business. John (who is clearly in control of the Salem brain on this show) says he is sure that Crystal has something on Nicole but Brady continues to defend Nicole, refusing to believe it. John actually (unknowingly) has it all figured out as he explains…he just has no proof. He thinks that Nicole is responsible for Victor’s death and Marlena knew and that is why she was killed. He is sure that if he can corner Crystal, she will confess and implicate Nicole to save her own sorry ass. John just needs Brady’s help in getting that proof. But hard headed Brady refuses to believe that Nicole is involved as John tells him to use his common sense (personally, I think he has none). He confesses that he does not want to find out that Nicole is guilty, but denies having feelings for her. John wants Brady to go to the mansion and get Crystal to come back to the bar. Meanwhile over at the mansion, Crystal returns home to be confronted by Nicole who chews her out. She tells Nicole about going to Alice’s and seeing Earl there and it shook her up. She is sure that Earl didn’t see her and tells Nicole that she didn’t see John either. Crystal tries to assure her that there is no reason to worry. Nicole orders her to not leave the house or the estate and Crystal complains that she may as well be back in prison. Nicole jumps all over her and shoves her to the sofa, saying “Welcome to my nightmare…we are in this until the bitter end!”

Back at the bar, Bonnie pulls out a receipt, showing Mickey and Julie that they made $100K for the Horton Foundation tonight (including all the donations and corporate sponsors). She even tossed in $972 herself to make it even to prove that she is not the thief that SOME PEOPLE think she is (as she glares at Julie). Mickey is impressed but Julie is still not convinced, even though she does manage an apology before storming off. Mickey tells Bonnie he is impressed with her and kisses her right on the mouth. Bonnie starts crying, telling him she is a fraud. She confesses, saying she did it all to impress him and that yes, she considered dipping in to the money. But there is something about him that makes her want to be good, even though she isn’t one. John asks Brady to go to the mansion and try to convince Crystal to come back and then he goes over to the bar to try and press a tipsy Earl for more info, but he catches on and storms off. Brady goes home and tells the ladies what a good time he is having and tries to get them to go back with him, but Nicole says NO, they are both tired and Crystal reluctantly agrees. Outside, Brady calls John and tells him the bad news and John tells him not to worry, Earl left as well. But he will eventually get the together. Rex calls Mimi, telling her he will be home soon and just goes on and on about her mom and how impressed he is with her. He tells her that Julie tried to pick a fight with Bonnie all night but Bonnie kept her cool. We then see Julie at home (I guess she is living at Mickey’s???) as she goes down the hall finding a trail of clothes. She hears Mickey moaning in his bedroom and barges in to find him and Bonnie in bed. She is shocked and appalled and asks what would Maggie say. Mickey tells her that he loved Maggie with all his heart, but she is gone. He cried and mourned and grieved for over 9 months. They had discussed this before and if something happened to one of them, the other was to move on. Julie cries “but with BONNIE LOCKHART???” Disgusted she storms off. (Hmmm…not sure if this really happens or if this is a fantasy scene…this is near the end of the show and we don’t see them anymore).

On Salem Island…Roman finds Marlena outside the fake Deveraux house, with her explaining that she was upset over Tony and was worried and decided to drop by to see if Jennifer (or Jack) were there. They both hope that someone in Salem was able to intervene and stop Jen from leaving Salem. They talk about the torture of being held captive and the loved ones they left behind. Roman says he fears it will get worse. Marlena talks about the shame and humiliation her family back home must be feeling, thinking she was the Stalker. Roman asks what if they get back home only to find out their loved ones had moved on (exactly what is happening Roman!) He asks what is her professional response to that. Marlena explains that the textbook says that one can’t live in grief forever…there comes a time when the mourning is over that they want to fill those empty holes and move on…even if that means finding love again. He starts telling her that he and Abe have been working on a plan and begins to tell her but they hear a noise in the bushes as Roman asks who’s there. Maggie stumbles out of the brush as we get a famous “what da hell are you doing here?” from Roman. She says she couldn’t sleep and was worried about Jack and Jennifer. They all hope that Jack got home and is maybe on his way back right now with help. But Marlena fears they will never get off the island. Maggie says as much as she loves Mickey, she hopes that he is able to find love again…that is selfless love and she would want him to be happy. They all 3 hear a plan engine overhead (something none of them have heard since being there) and wonder which it is…Jack with help…or Jennifer being brought there.

On the Plane…Davies brings Jennifer to and she is okay and she rushes to the window, remembering Patrick trying to get to her. Davies tells her that he fell off and is probably dead. She asks if this was all a trick and demands to know if Jack is alive. Meanwhile, we see Jack still unconscious, holding tight to the locket. Jen demands to know where they are going, but he won’t tell her. As Jack is waking up, he hears Jennifer’s voice calling to him and he has flashbacks of them in the factory on the catwalk where he is dangling over the vat of acid and she saves him. The he also has flashbacks of her on the bridge in her car where he saves her. (some of their best work together, IMO). He says he MUST get back home to her and rushes off. Later, we see him in the jungle as a HUGE snake slithers down behind him. It is a constrictor and it starts wrapping around him. But he keeps his wits about him and doesn’t struggle and it lets go if its grip and slithers away. He takes off again.

Meanwhile, Hope and Patirck are at the airport and (flashing her badge) they barge into the controllers area, demanding to know where the plane is headed. Hope still has questions for Patrick but the controller has information that could help. But something goes wrong and now the plane is showing 4 different signals on the radar, heading in 4 different directions so they can’t track them. On the plane, Jen finds her phone and battery in her purse and places a call to Hope, who puts her on the speaker phone so all can hear. Davies is on the radio telling someone they are on their way, despite some people trying to stop them. He says no one knows where they are headed. But he gets interference on the radio (caused by Jen I assume). They immediately let her know that Patrick is okay and that they are trying to track her. Hope has an idea and tells Jen to stay on the line, maybe they can track her signal from her phone. Jen assures Hope that Patrick is not behind this, for he tried to convince her that Jack wasn’t alive and tried to protect her. Davies goes back and catches Jen on the phone and they struggle over it (as Hope and Patrick hear this all). The plane dips, throwing them both to the floor. Hope and Patrick hear Davies say they hit an air pocket of turbulence and he can’t control the plane.

On the ground, Jack hears the plane and runs through the jungle trying to see where the noise is coming from. He says that plane is in trouble and tries to make his way to it. Marlena, Maggie and Roman also hear it and then hears a crash. (LOL...made me think of Tattoo yelling "Da Plane! Da Plane!") Roman tells them that it is on the other side of the island and they would never be able to get to it for the security. He says that is unlikely that anyone survived anyway. Back in real Salem, the plane has now disappeared from the radar as Hope yells “Oh My GOD…not Jen!” as she and Patrick are both in shock…and the previews show…

Belle telling John she hopes this works and Shawn comes back. John tells her that if has any brains in his head, he will after hearing her message on TV…

Bo grabs Patrick demanding to know if he is involved in all this…and where is Jen and who kidnapped her…as Hope tries to stop him…

Brady tells Belle that if Shawn comes home, there will be trouble between him and Philip…

Jan is screaming “Shawn, Shawn, I didn’t mean to kill you” as she shakes him…

And the credits roll…

Episode #9845
Tape date – 6/11/04
Director – Jim Baffico

SUMMARY: Shawn almost breaks free, John hires Earl to check out the security at the Kiriakis mansion, Julie and Bonnie have a couple more close encounters, and BO is on the scene..not just on the phone, as he and Hope try to find Jennifer.

SHAWN paces his cage as Jan delivers breakfast and the sports page. He manages to grab her through the cage and threatens to kill her if she doesn't let him out. Having a hard time breathing, she tells him the key is in her pocket. He gets it and throws her across the room and unlocks the cage and his foot cuff, saying he never wants to hear her voice again (oh, can we all be so lucky?) He doesn't pay attention (c'mon Shawn!) while doing this and she whaps him on the head with a bottle and knocks him out. She rattles on about it was for his own good. She tries unsuccessfully to wake him up, thinking he's dead. He finally comes to as she picks up the broken glass around him and tells him not to think about seeing Belle. Apparently he's got amnesia as he doesn't know who “Belle” is. Jan locks him in the cell as she tells him this is the best thing that could ever happen to her and him as he looks at the picture of him and Belle. Jan returns and he tells her he doesn't know who Belle is and Jan is the woman he's going to spend the rest of his life with.

AT BASIC BLACK, John tires of Belle's whining and agrees to get her on the Nascar broadcast. She again defends Shawn's love to her father and wants details why John won't be there to see her at the races. He explains he's busy trying to clear Marlena's name and keep Brady out of Nicole's clutches (gee, Celeste must have shared her wig makers address as she's wearing a
