Trona Care
Project NumberSix
82996 Magnolia Ave.
Completed on May 18th, 2002
This house has alot of history. Built in the
early 1900's, one of the first homes built in Trona.
This house is owned by a lady
that lives out of town. A few of the windows
had been broken and the yard was in need of cleaning.
The back of this house faces California St. which is
one of our main streets through Trona as well as
being on our parade route. There
was quite a few volunteers that showed up to
work on this project and all arrived bright and
early. You can see by the pictures all of our hard
work made a lot of difference. We Had quite a few trucks,
Todd Owens let us use his big truck and also
Ken Mertz and Brian Grim from the Rocking R Ranch,
RoseAnn Austin and Desiree Mobley , between all
of them, they hauled 6 truck loads to the
landfill. The ROP Class also boarded up the few
windows that were broken and secured the metal doors.
A big Thank You ! to Mr. Jim Haughton and
Mr Todd Owens for participating with
their ROP class, and helping with so many
of the Trona Care projects. Volunteers that worked hard on this
project cleaning and hauling trash. Were:
Marge Garcia, Ruthie
Lancaster,Lisa Branscum, Rose Ann Austin, Ken Mertz,
Brian Grim, Bill Harwood, Chris Ford, Mike Ford,
Marydith Haughton, Connie Courto, Calvin
( Desiree's son), and Desiree Mobley. Volunteer Hours for this project were
(34) what a difference! Another
Trona Care Project , taking pride in our town and
working together is what makes all this possible.
